Rachael (5/5): Passable - We booked for 1 night as a stop between two locations and booked this hotel as it stated there was a 24-h reception. On the day our flight was cancelled and when we booked a new flight, it was delayed until late in the evening. This meant we did not arrive at the hotel until 1am. We informed the hotel on WhatsApp about the late check in and were told to ring the doorbell and someone would answer, however upon arrival and after knocking the door, and ringing the doorbell for 30 minutes nobody answered and so, we were stuck outside in the rain. We continued to phone the WhatsApp number and thankfully someone finally answered and told us they would phone the security guard to let us in. The security guard clearly was not impressed he had to wake up and was very grumpy and rude, with no apology that we had been stuck outside for so long and so late at night. We were absolutely shattered by this point after a very long day and felt his mood was not necessary. His rude manner continued the next day when we checked out and he slammed the main door behind us, without saying goodbye. We spent a month in Vietnam and found everyone so friendly and welcoming, so it was very surprising to have a bad experience but we wouldn’t recommend here purely for his attitude.
