• Alice (10/5): Fantastic base to stay in Athens - A lovely place to arrive to, friendly and informative hosts. Great places to eat nearby including some that are open late. We arrived around 11pm and were able to find a taverna nearby selling delicious classic Greek food. We could walk to nearly everywhere from Petralona. I heard a hopoe in the park around 8am, couldnt see it though. Nothing

• Michael (10/5): Fantastic hosts and a beautiful apartment made for the perfect holiday - Lefteris and Katerina are fantastic hosts. They greeted us on arrival and were very friendly and helpful. The location of the apartment is fantastic. We wanted somewhere we could easily walk to the archaeological sites and museums. Petralona's Green House is about half an hour walk to The Acropolis through the lovely park which also has several points of interest. We never felt unsafe and it was great to see the architecture, experience everyday life in Athen and meet lots and lots of cats. We bought a small bag of treats so we could say hello to the cats. The apartment is beautifully decorated with high ceilings and our family of three had everything we needed. The hosts stocked the fridge with food and drinks and treats. A lovely surprise after an early morning flight and taxi trip. We made sandwiches on our days out - thank you. The area around Petralona's Green House is very safe and we had no problems walking in the evening to the local restaurants and supermarkets. On our first night we stumbled upon Pezodromos Originally Greek and had our best meal of the holiday - wrapped Gyros, salad and fries. It was very tasty and cheap compared to other restaurants nearer the tourist areas which were charging double, even triple the prices - avoid Flint (tourist trap and food poor!) We went to Pezodromos Originally Greek twice and would have gone again if we had the time. Definitely recommended. Lukumádes in Athens is definitely worth a visit. Lovely crisp and warming. I had Pistachio sauce on mine. Bougatsa from Bougatsadiko Psirri was also very nice. I wouldn't bother trying the Fresko Yogurt Bar. Bit of a tourist trap, expensive and nothing different to what I could make using supermarket bought ingredients. After a long day it was great to be able to walk back to Petralona's Green House and relax. There are plenty of sofas to lounge on, the bed was very comfy, the shower was lovely and hot. Petralona's Green House is in a very busy area so there is quite a lot of noise all throughout the night. But that's all part of the experience and it didn't spoil the holiday at all. We were also tired after all the walking. Reading the reviews I knew there was going to be some noise so I took a sleep headband/eyemask which helped. On our first night the room was very bright with just the light curtains, but then I closed the shutters the rest of the Holiday which blocked out most of the light. The second bedroom mattress is a bit lumpy. I turned it over and dressed in a blanket which helped. It could probably do with being replaced.

We loved the space, the kitchen and the outside courtyard. Slightly noisier being close to a busy road but to be expected when you're central.
• Cintia (10/5): Great!! - Spacious, comfortable, air con , nicely decorated. We love it that it was an old building redone in a modern and original style , the courtyard gave it a nice atmosphere. Very close to Petralona station, this allows us to reach the places we wanted to visit very easily, also very convenient to have two bakeries nearby and the supermarket. A few local places to eat near the station. The owners gave us a very warm welcome, it was lovely meeting them and they were very helpful. Maybe darker curtains to block the light in the bedroom, but that's a very personal opinion.

Katarina and her partner were so welcoming and very helpful. The house had everything we could have needed! We also liked the outside area where we cooked our own dinner and enjoyed some time there as well.

• Mugsie (10/5): Exceptional - The space was so incredibly cute - lots of attention to detail on the interior design. The hosts were very sweet and helpful, giving us recommendations and making sure we had umbrellas when it rained! We had a great time sitting on the patio, and had plenty of space to spread out inside. It was a very convenient walk to the train. If we were to come back, I'd stay here again.

• Michal (9/5): Lovely place in great neigbourhood, great price, can get a bit hot. - Great residential neighourhood with lots of great retaurants around, close to the city center and metro station, spacious and pretty patio, farmers market every tuesday closeby, above standart bathroom, great sevices around, great sense of place, friendly owners and very helpful property manager. The street can be noisy with loud music from cars passing by and almost nightly loud waste collection (both of which are of course beyond the owners control). The apartment can get hot at night, especialy the top bed, althought the fans help.
