• Ruben (10/5): Best price/quality for the location - The location is excellent, the Irish pub below is really good and has the best tracks and cocktails. The host helped us with everything we needed ! A little bit noisy Friday night with the bar downstairs if you planned to sleep early 😄

Apartament bardzo dobrze skomunikowany z miastem i lotniskiem, blisko metro, przystanek autobusowy i tramwajowy. Miałyśmy wszystko, co potrzebne. Było przestronnie i komfortowo. Na uwagę zasługuje też rewelacyjny kontakt z hostem, który szedł na rękę i był dostępny na Whatsappie. Polecam! Warto zwrócić uwagę na czystość-pościel, podłogi i ogólne wrażenie było dobre. Mimo to prysznic i niektóre rzeczy były niedomyte, zostawione po poprzednich gościach.

• Kara (8/5): Good value place in a great neighbourhood - Good value apartment in very nice area of Athens. Many good bars and café's around, plus only a 10 minute walk to the metro. The apartment was clean and had all necessary amenities + a washing machine! I would advise the apartment more for the summer as the only place to sit and eat your food / do work is on the balcony.

• Apostolos (7/5): Lovely budget option with some drawbacks that may or may not matter to you -- read before you book - Good price for a very small apartment that provided the bare necessities. The location was great for someone who has the time/interest to walk to downtown (museums, etc.); such a walk goes by some very pretty landmarks (the stadium of the first Olympic games, a couple of parks, the residence of the President of the Greece, etc.) and is very safe at night (as is the apartment's neighborhood, in general). A stay there is also interesting from a people-watching perspective as the apartment is located in a regular, working-class/student neighborhood. The water heater, stove, washer, fridge, A/C and heater all worked perfectly fine, and most appliances were new-ish. Most apartments at a similar price range are below ground level, but this was above ground and had a small but lovely balcony (not much of a view, but it was nice to feel the morning breeze). There are many nearby coffee, pastry, grocery and other shops. Also, there's a lovely park right behind the apartment (up the hill and up a tall flight of stairs), and parks (Zappeion and the National Garden) are close by as well, if you want to jog (which I did at all times of the day and night). The metro station and the bus stop to the airport are a bit of a walk away, but not too bad (unless you have heavy luggage). Any non-smoker should be aware that this room has the strong smell of cigarette smoke due the bar right under the room; it is strongest in the late night (anti-smoking laws exist but are not enforced); keeping all windows & interior and exterior doors closed doesn't help as the smoke comes through wall openings next to pipes, or through doors; you will notice the smell as soon as you walk in because it permeates the fabrics (bedding, towels, etc.). It will feel like entering a hotel's smoking room, regardless of the smoking policy of the apartment host itself. Also, the area is noisy, and the apartment's sound insulation is minimal (as is the case with most older-built flats in Athens and despite improvements such as double-pane doors/windows, which this apartment has); the noise is due to the bar and restaurants (mostly in the evenings, but also during morning deliveries), the nearby garage (whose attendants drive like maniacs... we saw one run over a pigeon, no kidding), as well as the daily morning run (7am-11am) of the junk dealer whose truck-mounted megaphone invites locals to get rid of the junk he offers to collect; on the flipside, that manic, 24/7 energy is part and parcel of Athens' small neighborhoods, so you may find it more endearing than annoying for a short stay. Other details: 1) ask for a second pair of keys in advance if needed (we got a single pair by default, which worked OK for us); 2) you will need to look up the manual to the washer and stove online to figure out how to use them, esp.
