• Jenna (9/5): Athens visit - Central location close to restaurants and shopping. It was quiet and comfortable. The hosts were very helpful! It would be nice to know about stairs (older guests needed help). It was basic but served all our needs.

Van daaruit binnen een straal van 20 minuten lopen alle grote bezienswaardigheden. Helaas raakte de afvoer in de badkamer verstopt, maar we werden direct geholpen omdat de eigenaar direct een loodgieter regelde. Klasse! Er waren weinig faciliteiten in de keuken.
• Cheryl (7/5): Great location, lack of communication with owner. - The location was amazing, convenient to a supermarket and tourist shopping. There were numerous choices for dining. Awkward accessibility to basement apartment with heavy cases. Delayed communication with entry code, I requested the information to be sent 2 days earlier, as we would be in transit without wifi. Lack of essentials for our extended stay, including fresh linen, towels and toilet paper. We were not informed to request them. We were not informed to turn the hot water system on either.

• Rubydell (9/5): Happy Friends and Family Trip. - Located in what feels like the heart of Plaka Square. Lots of shops, gelato, restaurants, cafes, and more. The house was cozy. With very comfortable beds. Nice kitchen and living room. It is located on the ground/basement floor. Unfortunately, proper natural light makes the space seem a bit dim. Tried opening the wooden blinds, but it was zip tied. Im sure had I mentioned it to the host, She would have accommodated. But overall, I was very pleased with the location, comfort of the bed, food and cafe proximity, and just the overall promptness of the host. I needed to wash clothes, and she immediately gave me several options that were 6 minutes walk from the air bnb. Would highly recommend this place. Clean, NO bugs or rodents. Very, very CLEAN. and smelled good with the aroma therapy they had going on when we arrived.

We had to check out late for a late flight and we were allowed to stay later at no charge. Really enjoyed our time there 😊 A little dark but it is a basement apartment so to be expected. wish there was a washing machine for longer stays.

The beds are superconfortable and apartment is very spacious.As a bonus is colder inside the apartment than outside. It is in the basament,so dark all the time. The decor is kind of plain. There is a kind of interior balcón,that is dirty and probably Could be utilised better. We saw a croceroch in the apartment,maybe is normal in Athens city center with the heat.the kettle is dangerous,easy to burn yourself using it. The wifi is terrible. The shower door probably broke at some point and a shower curtain is in its place instead of a proper fix.

• Lindsay (10/5): Great apartment in Plaka! - Beautiful apartment in a great location in Plaka, just a few metres from the main street but lovely and quiet. I felt completely safe staying there on my own (the friend I was supposed to be staying there with broke her ankle and couldn't come!). I'd definitely recommend it to anyone for a short or much longer stay. Thank you. I liked everything! Nothing I didn't like.
• Carol (1/5): DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! - This was the worst booking I have had, ever! We arrived prior to the cutoff time (11 PM/23:00) as planned and could not access the property. The code to get the keys DID NOT WORK. We tried countless times to call the phone number we had and NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE! We were left stranded in the street at 11 pm at night with no one to let us in and no way to get the keys to get into the property. The property was not well marked and if it had not been for a kink neighbor we may not have found it at all! We were also UNSUCCESSFUL in our attempt to access the property and our phone calls were again unanswered the following day. We ended up at three different hotels for our three nights in Athens.

• İsmail (1/5): Worst experince i ever live - Location House was dirty, smelling bad, there were no shower door. There were lots of flies and bugs. I killed more than 6 giant roaches and missed some of them. House was under ground so it was moisty. Key code was wrong, internet qr code was not working, there werent shower equipment(shampoo or like that) i never stay again.

There was a large amount of mould covering the walls. Communication about how to access the key prior to arrival was not provided. This is not a hotel like the name suggests.

• Donald (3/5): disappointing - not much quick cursory introduction by owner who was difficult to contact. apartment was down in a cellar with very little natural light. second bedroom was very cold. no hot water in the morning despite owner saying it would be hot. the implication was it was a hotel but transpired it was an air bib so almost impossible to locate.

Could be better. - The location was excellent and, with a few changes, it could be better. - The WiFi didn't work - The shower head didn't have a holder (broken) so you had to hold it - There were no mirrors apart from the bathroom one which had bad lighting. Would be nice to have ones in the bedroom for doing make-up and also a full length one - Would be good to have directions explained for where to pay and exactly where the apartment was inside the building, a day in advance of arrival, rather than at the last minute - Dogs barking and loads of noise from the apartments next to/above (obviously can't be helped by the host, but good to know in case you're a light sleeper - Also would be good to know that it takes 15 minutes for the water to heat up
• Philippa (5/5): Passable - Location and the apartment is roomy It is NOT DISCLOSED as a basement apartment. It is also deceiving implying it is a Hyatt accommodation. The pictures are deceiving. There is sewer problem which resulted in a smell and a flooded bathroom multiple times. The shower head was broken and there was no shower door. Dirty cupboards and mold in the shower.

• Stephanie (4/5): Needs TLC - The location was amazing. Great for wandering the miriad of streets and cafes of Plaka. The apartment needs TLC. We had a number of niggles e.g. there was no shower door and the shower holder was broken, the curtains didn't cover the windows, no bedside lights, irritating but not fundamental to our enjoyment. More the kind of things you laugh off as a bad choice. However, the kitchen (and the bathroom to a lesser degree) had an ant problem, which we did tell the owners after the first night, they ended up moving us to another place for our final night which was a vast improvement.

• Tina (1/5): SCAM - Nothing good to say The house was extremely cold and smelled strongly of mold. Dirty walls with dead insects, filthy toilet, and a window near a trash can. The window was probably open before we arrived so the whole house smelled trash. We were terrified because there was a door in the kitchen that wouldn't close properly. Athens is not that safe nowadays. We couldn't sleep in such a bad and unsafe apartment, so we left and went to another hotel. This is not something I would recommend. Comparing to the online photos, this was clearly a scam.

• Paulina (6/5): AirBnB trying to pass professional on booking - Location right on Plaka, good price for location, spacious and reasonably quiet. - took an hour to get in after agreed time - No hot water in shower - Shower cannot close as only half of the door is there - Beds are typical Greek: hard - Airco is in kitchen, not bedrooms - Room is half below ground level Host wanted specific time for checkin to meet. Did not meet us at the agreed time and after calling (twice as she did not pick up or call back) gave the code for a keybox. But there was no key. Told us someone would come within 5mins. Nobody came and after 15mins she called to tell me to go to the souvenirs shop close by. Gave me the wrong keys. Host did not pick up, called her several times. Went back to the shop. The people at the souvenir shop where very nice and tried hard but where not responsible for the accommodations. The correct keys where found eventually and after an hour of hassle we could enter. Not a great experience.
