• Verena (10/5): Ausgezeichnete Ausstattung, Lage und Frühstückszutaten. - Das vorbereitete Frühstück war mehr als ausreichend, die Beschreibung für das sehr gute Wlan ist ausgezeichnet. Die Lage ist phänomenal, in ein paar Schritten ist man bei der U-Bahn und in 10 Minuten zu Fuß beim Flughafenzug. Die Gegend ist sehr lebhaft, überall gibt es interessante Lokale. Die Wohnung ist sehr groß, sauber und ausgezeichnet ausgestattet. Eigentlich ein Hotel, nur ohne Personal. Auf eine telefonische Anfrage bei der Ankunft hat der Vermieter sofort und unkompliziert reagiert. Es wird auch auf Nachhaltigkeit geachtet. Im unteren Schlafzimmer steht ein Regal als Raumteiler, das sehr instabil ist. Sollte es umfallen, könnte man sich verletzen. Da die Wohnung in einem sehr lebendigen Viertel liegt, ist es in der Nacht manchmal laut, darauf muss man sich einstellen. Sehr ruhebedürftige Menschen mit leichtem Schlaf sollten Monastiraki vermutlich eher meiden.

• Eloise (9/5): Soggiorno piacevole grazie alla posizione strategica dell’appartamento - Sicuramente uno dei principali punti di forza di questo appartamento è la sua posizione strategica: consente di raggiungere con estrema facilità tutti i principali luoghi di interesse, oltre a ristoranti, negozi e servizi di ogni tipo, come la metropolitana. L’aspetto meno positivo è stato il rumore durante la notte. Trattandosi di un open space con una porta direttamente collegata alla strada, si percepiscono chiaramente i rumori di auto, moto e delle persone che, soprattutto nel weekend, giustamente si trattengono a festeggiare!

The door could only be opened after entering the code a second time, and there was no way to lock it from the inside, which created a sense of insecurity. Breakfast could be had at a nearby café; it was listed as available from 7 to 10 a.m., but at 7 a.m. there was only coffee and orange juice, as no one from the kitchen was there yet. But the staff were very attentive, and we at least received some cake.

• Tereza (10/5): Will come again! Perfect - Near the life- restaurants, bars, shops, metro, sightseeing. Absolutely perfect! Equipment of apartment is the same (if not better) like in luxurious hotels. You just need to bring clothes. Breakfast was delicious and employees at that place were also great! I sleep perfectly fine, however someone might have problems with noise from outside (church bells, people leaving bars). But it might be a problem for light sleepers. I slept like a baby 🙂

• Ines (5/5): - DIe Lage ist für einen Besuch der Athener Sehenswürdigkeiten sehr gut. Alles ist fussläufig zu erreichen. In der Beschreibung wird angegeben, dass es Parkmöglichkeiten in der Nähe gibt für die keine Reservierung nötig ist. Das ist irreführend! Alle Parkmöglichkeiten sind öffentliche Parkplätze, die zu Stoßzeiten natürlich überfüllt sind. Andere Hotels im Umkreis geben alle korrekterweise an, dass keine Parkmöglichkeiten zur Verfügung stehen. Für das Frühstück musste ein Formular für die Bestellung ausgefüllt werden. Info dazu gab es erst auf Nachfrage. Viel Plastik und keine warmen Getränke inbegriffen. DIe Unterkunft ist sehr hellhörig, da schlecht isoliert, was bei der zentralen Lage das Schlafen schwierig macht. Kein Bad oder Toilette im oberen Schlafbereich. Lichtschalter sind ungünstig verteilt, so dass man die Treppen im Dunkeln gehen muss. Es gibt Unterkünfte mit besserem Preis- Leistungs-Verhältnis in der Nähe, wenn man nicht auf die angebliche Parkmöglichkeit und das "Frühstück inklusive" hereinfällt.

• Dayle (3/5): A disappointing Airbnb type of accommodation which I didn’t expect. - The location was good for walking around Athens. The beds were comfortable. There was no breakfast. We had to use an app to get into the rooms. The code didn’t work for all three of us the first day and we had to phone the manager. We never did see him but he did get us in. I never did get my code working until the third or fourth day. The bathroom was in very bad shape. It was very noisy unless all the windows were closed and the AC was on. None of us like the AC but we had to use it. I think this accommodation is more like an Airbnb and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Nous n’avions besoin que d’une nuit mais la cuisine semblait adaptée pour un plus long séjour. Des réservation, nous avons reçu les codes WIFI (débit correct de 35 Mb/s) et la procédure pour entrer dans l’appartement. Attention, il vous faut internet pour configurer la clé digitale de la porte d’entrée. Faites-le avant votre arrivée ou faites comme moi, j’ai collé mon téléphone à la porte d’entrée et j’ai réussi à attraper le wifi de l’appartement et j’ai ainsi pu configurer ma clé. Je n’ai rien de négatif à signaler, tout s’est bien passé.

The threshold to bathroom is a tripping hazard. Aldo the shower has some mold or looks dirty near the bottom. It would also be safer to have railings on the steep stair cases. A few treats would have been nice since ce we arrived late.

• Edmund131148 (7/5): An older apartment in a great location. It was value for what we paid. - The location is fantastic. Next to the square, flea market, hop on hop off bus and restaurants. We had to be moved after 2 days through no fault of the owner - he put us up in another partment in another area which we absolutely loved. In fact we gave him 10/10 for service and the apartment. The apartment stairs did not have proper handrails to either floor. Also there is no lift - carting heavy cases up the stairs was difficult.

At night it could be a bit noisy though, but if you want to spend the night out, no better location than this. The host was really helpful. The kitchen is really simple while the description says "fully equipped". Only one mobile elec. stove, not much space to prepare complex dishes. but for simple meals it works.

The apartment is huge- the kids had the whole upstairs to themselves. We tried many of the restaurants in the local information provided and all of them were great. We can’t recommend this place highly enough. Nothing!! It was incredible

Very roomy dwelling with large rooms on two floors, each with one double bed and its own living room. Flat was tastefully decorated in oriental style. The owner's attention to details such as lavender scented linens and honey infused bathroom amenities made staying at the place a luxurious experience. Rooms are located on first and second floors, have to carry baggage from ground floor without an elevator.

• Joanne (5/5): I was disappointed with unit, misleading description, and responses of owner/contact person. - location except for noise outside from people nearby The booking.com description lists a sofa bed but owner/contact person indicated I should have said I wanted sofa bed made up ahead of time. I wanted to know if sheets were available and there were, but he didn’t seem to know it. I spent a lot of time on communications. Also, it is noisy outside at time you might want to sleep, and one bed provided is in downstairs open living area. Whoever is staying upstairs must come down to use the one bathroom
• Jjr (9/5): Superb - Huge apartment right in the city center, so everything is within short walking distance (or you have the subway at 2mins). Very clean with good, large beds (mattress on top floor might need to be changed soon, but you can always sleep on first floor). Communication with the owner was very smooth; he checked in multiple times to see if we were ok and needed something, but as everything was very well explained we didn't even need to meet physically. The door (un)locking by phone was a first for me, but went flawless. As you're right in the heart of Athens, you have to take into account some noise at night. We stayed 9 days in total and it was only on Friday and Saturday night, but knowing it upfront the only inconvenience this caused was having to stay home with the children and not being able to join the party!
• Kate (9/5): Great location and nice place to stay. - I liked the location. Within walking distance to everything: restaurants, markets, museums, etc. Very big rooms and comfortable beds. Due to the central location, there is a lot of traffic with people and cars, and sometimes its quite noisy, and you can hear car noise or people talking under the windows at night... The kitchen is not fully equipped with a stove/oven to cook something. Also, you have to keep in mind to turn switch on in the kitchen to have hot water in the bathroom. Otherwise, you'll end up taking a shower with cold water. Hot water runs out pretty quick, so you have limited time to enjoy your shower.

• Andreea_elena (10/5): excellent location, perfect accommodation, very kind host! - Initially I booked the location in Monastiraki because I have been there before and I liked it very much. Therefore, I recommend both Ulyssses Apartment Monastiraki and Ulysses Apartments Acropole, in the latter location I stayed at the end of the holiday from which I returned 4 days ago. The location in Monastiraki is on a quiet street, but close to the pedestrian shopping area, with small vibrant terraces full of people, with good music and excellent food. I recommend it! The Acropolis location is in front of the Acropolis museum, 100-150 meters from the metro (Acropolis station). It is extremely easy to get to from the airport. The area is elegant, quieter, you can reach Monastiraki Square in 15-20 minutes with an easy walk, there are grocery stores near the location where you can get anything you need, it is close to the Plaka area full of terraces and restaurants, many shops. The apartment (I had the Iris Penthouse) is absolutely gorgeous, with a direct view of the Acropolis. I worked for work every day from the terrace of the apartment and had a direct view of the Acropolis. The rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is splendid, the kitchen is minimally equipped (fridge, stove, oven, plates, pots, some cutlery and a minimum of utensils). Check-in was very easy (by installing an application). Ulysses was very kind, always available if I needed anything. For my future visits to Athens, even if I could choose other accommodations, I would definitely return to Ulysses: either in the apartment in Monastiraki (for the vibrant life there), or in the apartment in Acropolis (for the amazing view and for the feeling of romance on which I had there). I didn't like that I only stayed for 6 days :)))

The 3rd bed was not a proper sofa bed or fold-away. The open staircases were quite dangerous without handrails The entrance hall light could not be switched off up the stairs

A terrific location where you can simply walk to restaurants, coffee, shopping, hop on hop off a bus, the Acropolis, Museum, and much more. Less tourist food would have been better for me as a Greek.

• Lalitha (9/5): Wonderful location and lovely apartment made for a great stay! Recommend the place very highly! - The apartment is very large and beautifully decorated. The host had made lots of homely touches that were great -- he had kept umbrellas for use, had a music system with some CDs available, adaptors were kept ready. It was clean too. The location also couldnt be beaten -- just 2min from Monastiraki square and station and within walking distance of so many sights. The host- Ulysses, also went out of his way to be helpful when help was needed. The only thing that could be a bit improved is that the apartment was a bit hot in August. While there was an AC in each room, the rooms were really large and so one AC was perhaps a bit inadequate especially if you were seated further away from it. But this is a minor issue, and only relevant perhaps in July/August if its a hot year. Overall, this is a great place to stay in and I recommend it very highly.
