• Miguel (10/5): ¡Estupendos apartamentos! - Alquilamos ambos apartamentos para toda la familia. Estaban en perfecto estado y con todo tipo de comodidades. Son tal y como reflejan las fotografías, una casa noble en un barrio tranquilo con techos altos, amueblada con gusto, una preciosa entrada, un delicioso patio interior y una magnífica terraza que en verano sin duda invita a organizar cenas con vistas extraordinarias. Camas cómodas, baños agradables, cubertería y resto de facilidades habituales... No faltaron pequeños detalles de cortesía por parte de los anfitriones, que estuvieron todo el tiempo fácilmente localizables y dispuestos a ayudar (¡Gracias, Georgia!). Fue una experiencia muy grata. Estaremos encantados de volver. El sistema de calefacción, completo e instalado en todas las habitaciones, dio algunos problemas.

Thank you Georgia! - The location was in a quiet residential area, but restaurants, coffee shops, pastry and of course the Acropolis and Syntagma Square were all accessible by walking ( no physical disabilities in our group of 50-somethings to 60-somethings). The Gem of Filopapou (we stayed in the two story Maisonette) was spacious with a beautiful terrace on the upper floor. The upstairs bedroom ensuite bath was small. The main floor bedroom was not ensuite, but the large bath was just across the hall. Beautiful tiles and a shower that actually drained! The dining and living rooms were spacious! We did not use the kitchen to cook a meal. The washing machine was tucked under the stairs - attention to your head when you stand up!!! The terrace was wonderful. It was appreciated that the terrace could be accessed without entering the upstairs bedroom. The entrance is private. Although there is another rental unit on the mainfloor of the building, we did not hear them at all. When you enter the building, there is a landing area and then a staircase up to access the Maisonette. So the mainfloor of the Maisonette is actually the first floor of the building. There was a glitch with communication via the Booking.com messages, unfortunately. Our host was lovely and we were able to communicate via email outside of the booking platform. This was in no way related to the host or her apartement, it was clearly a Booking.com platform issue.
• Marnie (10/5): The best of the city... A must to stay at. - This was quite the find. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Athens. It's so spacious!! Well appointed.and the decor is chic. The location is top notch. We explored the whole city by foot. Loved the hike outside our door. Loved the neighborhood cafes and markets. The owners are very responsive! Don't go anywhere else! This was our favorite stay in Greece. Nothing. It's perfect.

The rooftop terrace - Nicely renovated and very spacious 2BR/2BR with great facilities lovely outdoor space. Quiet neighbourhood but good access to local amenity. We had some problems with the hot water boiler which will probably need attention from the property manager.

• Ieva (10/5): Wow wow wow! - What an amazing place! The artwork, antiques and the views make you feel you are just where you should be when you are in Athens.. Perfect location for a short walk to Acropolis and Antient Agora as well as local shops and bars. The host has also left some goodies, which is always appreciated :)
• Jonathan (8/5): Very good - The area is a artistic area with a good selection of fun, eclectic restaurants. Its a bit more rough visually on the edges, but that helps drive the charm. The house itself is very beautiful and well done. The back patio was nice to read on. There was nice shower supplies, coffee pods, a bottle of wine and cake when we got there. Overall, it was a great welcome and a nice home. I think its just important to know that there are two roads, one on the back and on the front. The front is not a busy road, but it does still have traffic and the lower apartment (which we had), had the bedrooms on the front. We knew this and expected some noise, and it wasn't too bad, but it did wake me up and not my best sleep. But I think that is hard in Athens in general so given the choices, its a good medium in terms of sleep. The apartment is a bit echo-ish given the floors and such, but that is the sacrifice for the charm of it. The couch could be more comfortable. Overall, its good! just things to know ahead. OH! And the bathroom ceiling is a bit lower, so very tall people would be a problem.

The host was amazing with great communication from booking all the way through to checking out. They also sent us some recommendations for food and sightseeing activities. Tiny details make the place a must stay if you are in Athens! Situated in a residential neighborhood with quirky cafes and just a walk away from all the major attractions makes it all the more convenient. Ideal for a family. Highly recommended! Cheers.

The apartment was beautifully appointed and the location could not have been more convenienient. The roof terrace was particularly lovely as we spent morning watching the sun rise and evenings watching the sun set from a gorgeous setting. Everything was outstanding.

Beautifully furnished with well-functioning air-conditioning. Very responsive and friendly support via messages and phone calls. The neighbourhood is very quiet and safe and has some great restaurants, but it is a 20-30 minute walk to the Plaka.

• Mike (10/5): Lovely apartment in a great location-very cool place to stay - Location was great-a quiet street at the foot of Filopappou hill and a 10 minute hike up the hill for amazing views & sunsets. Local cafes and bars were great (and not tourist prices) but only a 10 minutes walk to Plaka/Acropolis area. Loved the apartment-plenty of space and lovely rooms with an outside courtyard which was great to sit outside and have morning coffee. Apartment felt very safe and comfortable and a lovely character building Communication was fantastic and very responsive and helpful-also some welcome cold drinks and cake on arrival. Totally recommend this place and will stay here again! a second bathroom would've been great for 4 of us but thats a very minor quibble!

• Thi (10/5): Exceptional - Elegant house, spacious, clean, convinient spot to visit many places : Acropolis, Syntagma Square, various museum.... A house is well maintained to reflect its beautiful French architectural style design with a touch of modern to bring the comfort to guests. We stay at Masoinette unit which consists of the second floor of the house and the rooftop bedroom and the terrace which give you lots of outdoor space not mentioned to 2 large bedrooms and living room. Highly recommend! The host is very supportive, attentive, quick response to guest's queries. Thank you for having us.

A beautiful & stylish modern townhouse with all the comforting amenities of home… white marbled floors, high ceilings, spacious & comfortable bedrooms, full kitchen, very proper walk-in shower bathroom, and charming outdoor back garden, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine & local snacks. Centrally located on a most charming street, lined with flowered fruit trees, it provides easy access to the cool Koukaki neighborhood, loaded with great cafes, local bakeries, fun vintage shops, authentic tavernas, et al. Filopappou Hill is a block above, great for a morning or sunset hike with great views of all of Athens. It was perfect.

• Nando (10/5): Excellent! - Huge size and amazing views! Also very clean and comfortable. Felt like home. The property is close to nice restaurants that are a little out of the more touristic centre, even though the property is quite central and close to archeological sites itself. Great if you want to be in a more residential area but still access tourist attractions. From the terrace you have a sweeping view of the city with the sea and mountains in the background. It also has a cozy space with the same view indoors, in case the weather is bad. We enjoyed reading our books there one of the days, in which it rained.

• Trifonia (10/5): Definitely the best stay ever in a non-hotel property. Truly a Gem. - Our stay at Gem of Philopappou exceeded our expectations. Spending New Year's Eve away from home can easily be a sad experience. However the hosts did their best for us to have such a great time at Athens! Once checked-in, we found a decorated full-size Christmas tree at the sitting room, while at kitchen complimentary traditional Christmas greek delicacies were waiting for us to taste, such as melomakarona, kourabiedes and even a Vasilopita! What can we say about the property? A stylish renovated traditional Athenian home, with a large kitchen (dishwasher was a major plus!) for us to cook, extra comfy beds, quiet location and of course the large terrace from were you can enjoy the sun at day, the sunset at evening with a view of the southern suburbs of Athens, the sea and the Philopappou hill. And if you are lucky enough like us, you get the most spectacular view of fireworks for New Year! Honestly, nothing. Everything was exceptional. if I could rate over than 10, I honestly would. A definitely go-to option for our next stay in Athens.
• Lukasz (9/5): The name doesn’t lie, it’s trully a gem! - The apartament was nicely furnished, spacious, fitted with every amenity you may need during your stay.It is located in a beautiful area within walking disctance from all major sites and fantastic restaurants. The host is communicative, helpful and happy to assist with any questions you may have. We have thoroughlly enjoyed our stay and will be happy to come back. There was no such thing.

House is between two roads where is quite a lot of traffic and downstairs bedrooms are on a roadside so bit of a traffic noise is coming to the room.

Property: spacious, full of character and has an amazing views from the roof terrace. It did exceed our expectations. 3. Host: Georgia was incredibly helpful and accommodating with all our requests. Response time was a couple of minutes at most - very impressive customer service. Not applicable.

It has high ceilings, comfortable beds, a new kitchen, a beautiful private garden, a classy bathroom, a TV in every room, artistic decor, etc. It's in a residential neighborhood about a 15 minute walk to the Acropolis entrance. The Dora Stratou theater is a 5 minute walk away (I recommend a night out there). Restaurants are a 10 minute walk. You will be happy you booked this home. The center of Athens at Monastiraki, the Plaka, and the Acropolis can be noisy and crowded. But the walk to this home is quiet and peaceful within the big city. Enjoy.
