Minor cleaning issues like a tissue on the floor and hair on the towel. The iron almost burnt my blouse. Also I could hear anything in the apartment next door.

The location is perfect with many excellent restaurants, shops, and bars nearby, as well as being within walking distance of most of the sights in Athens. The bed is very comfortable and the space well-appointed. The property was not as clean this second time we've stayed. It wasn't anything to scare us off, but it was noticeable.

The apartment was overall very comfortable. The host was very easy to reach. We had timely instructions for the check-in. We even were allowed to keep our luggage, in the small place provided, after the check-out until our plane. There was a kettle, a coffee machine, and coffee with bread and jam for breakfast. Thank you for the ouzo gift, too. The bed sheets smelled a little damp and there was a little stain.

There was no full-length mirror in the room. There were no lights on the staircase, which made it dangerous to walk up and down the stairs at night.

• Oregon (10/5): Gem at last minute - Booked this apartment at the last minute when other booking with Best Stays did not happen. The location was great. Close to resturants and away from group hotels near Acropolis. Everything close enough to walk. Apartment had a clothes washer, oven and large refrigerator. We were able to leave our luggage at apartment at 10am and then checkin after 3pm. Very easy process with lock box and keys. Host available by text anytime. The clothes washer was a difficult to figure out the start but worked great otherwise.

The suite is super clean and refreshing. Dean has done a wonderful job renovating the place. It’s so modern and tastefully decorated. It’s great to have a washing machine too. We loved the elevator. Loved it all

The propery had an elevator and reverse cycle air con, both very welcome. As was the very large bed. The romantic view of the Parthenon through the leaves of a tree was a bonus! • Vasileios (9/5): Great location - Great location in the heart of Athens. Modern appartment and very nice and clean bathroom. This accommodation has a washing machine and tumble dryer and that was another one reason we chose it. Kind host(we spoke via booking chat). They also add us a playpen for the baby. We didn’t use it because our baby is only 3months old but we are happy about the thought. Thank you. We recommend this appartment but not in the middle of the winter. Because of the baby we tried to warm the house during the early morning hours and the air conditions had poor performance . The couch hat some dirty spots and we didn’t sit on it because it was looking a little bit disgusting. The host told us that he will replace it in the next 10 days. The elevator was too old and therefore too small. My wife arrived first and she couldn’t fit in it with the stroller. Everytime we have to use the elevator we should split our stroller to 2 parts. But this is a problem only if you have a baby.

• Cristina (10/5): Really nice place, I would stay there again - Very well located, I did everything by foot from there, all the sites from the bundle ticket were easily reachable in walking distance. The apartment was very clean and exactly like the photos. The air conditioners were really good and it was really comfortable to sleep at night. The host was super friendly and replied very quickly. It was also very easy to go to the airport (we took an uber when arriving because it was past midnight and we were tired, it was around 50eur), there's a subway station close. Honestly the only thing that bothered a little bit is that the shower doesn't have a door, so it wet the floor a little bit. The apartment had towels to put on the floor for this, so it was easy to "fix".
• Angela (9/5): I would highly recommend this apartment for the location, comfort and facilities. - The location is fantastic, you can walk to nearby shops, restaurants and tourist areas, and close to the Metro too. The Host was so helpful and kindly met us to hand over the keys and helped carry all our suitcases to the apartment. The street front door is a beautiful steel door, but sooo heavy to open especially when you had bags to carry. Also hard to carry up suitcases on those inside front stairs, but luckily for me the host kindly met us and helped carry all our suitcases. The original lift is quirky and tiny, but works well. (multiple trips required for large suitcases)

You are right in the middle of things in Athens (which does come with noise at night, especially on the weekends, so be prepared), and all the major sites are within walking distance. The apartment is well equipped with the basics for cooking and even had laundry soap which we appreciated, shampoo, towels, and extra bedding. The bed was very comfortable, the towels soft, and the ACs working well which we needed in June! Honestly everything was great - please note that it is on the second floor (three flights of stairs), so pack light.

• Eleanor (10/5): Absolutely loved it, would highly recommend and would definitely book again if staying in Athens. - Fantastic locaton in the heart of Plaka. The apartment was compact but made good use of its space with custom built fittings so it never felt small. Lovely welcome gift on arrival. Beautifully decorated especially the bathroom and bedroom. Very helpful host. Sofa bed was a little stiff to sleep on but not terrible (and the double bed was comfortable enough to make up for it!) The balcony was very small, just big enough to stand on but not sit.
• Peter (7/5): Good but not luxury - We chose this apartment for a seven night stay based on the very good reviews. It is in an excellent location right in the Plaka area. The apt is good , great wifi and netflix but it is not luxury as described in the title . On arrival we had a hole in the towel , stains on the rug and sofa and a broken lamp holder . There was no bin liner for the rubbish bin and we were supplied 2 small soap gels and 2 toilet rolls for our 7 night stay . When you contact the owner Eran who resides in the building by message he is very quick to respond and correct any issues and give you supplies, however it would be preferable to have all the amenities for your stay in the first instance . There are no instructions for use of the hot plate which is difficult to use . We gave up. The bedroom adjoins the bathroom of the neighbouring unit ( also rented by Eran ) and the noise of the exhaust fan comes straight through the wall when in use. Twice we had to ask the neighbours ( different tenants ) if they could turn it off as we could not sleep. They both obliged and apologised. We Suggest you rent the Neo apt. In summary if these issues were addressed it could be a good option in Athens but we think the word “ luxury “ is a misnomer . See above
• Selen (10/5): Right place to stay - we loved everything. More would be living in a palace. Eran considered and provided everything needed. He is always available to respond our questions. The house is in the heart of Athens. Inside it has one bedroom, one saloon, one kitchen and one bathroom. my besties are : comfortable bed, silent working air conditioners, full mirror, Netflix, coffee machine. I also read comments about finding the key. It is so easy to find it. don’t worry. nothing!

The room was quiet. The bed is comfortable. Sufficient electric sockets for computer, cellphone, chargers, etc. The room has a coffee machine, and the welcome includes toasts, gem and uzo. The communication with the operator was OK, via Whatsapp. The entrance procedure was confusion for me. I had to guess where the keys are located, and to find the way to the room. There was a problem of wrong password with one of the two entries, but the other was OK.

Very convenient walking to all things you want do when coming to Athens. The apt is updated to standard and has the ambiance of a fine older Greek residence. It even has the charm of a perfectly working vintage elevator. Royal Luxury Suites is where I will be staying on follow on trips in the future The city just happened to be doing roadwork upon my arrival. Power was off for maybe 12 hours. None of this was the owners fault. To their great favor and credit they even stopped by to make sure I was ok. They are people you want to have as hosts. Bottom line, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, even extending additional time.

The room was super clean and we felt as if we had our own apartment in downtown Athens. We especially appreciated being able to wash our clothes inside the unit since the local laundromats charged $8 a kilo for laundry service. Finding the front door was a little difficult when we arrived. An exact pin of the door coordinates we could navigate to would have been nice.
