Guest Reviews

- Robert (9/5): Good value, walking distance to the tourist area and with a nice balcony. - Well located outside the tourist area yet within easy walking distance. Felt safe. Great value. Good to be able to see the Parthenon from the balcony. A microwave would have been useful. Several bulbs not working in lights but no problem. Bedding a bit tired.
- Jennifer (10/5): -
- Jerome (10/5): -
- Manchanda (9/5): Great place would use again if in Athens - The property was perfect for the needs of our group - 4 adults here for a mix of work and fun. The location was quite central and it was easy to walk around the city from this base. Clean and spacious. Comfy beds. Two toilets. Good kitchen / lounge area.
Lovely view from the balcony of the Acropolis.
Great neighbourhood with lots of good bars and restaurants close by.
Easy walk to Monasteris and Acropolis and other places.
Gabriel was a great host.
- katerina (6/5): -
- Pat (9/5): - View was of the acropolis as stated.
Apartment was very spacious and met all our needs
Great Taco restaurant almost next door
Walking access to local metro and attractions was reasonably close
Admin team extremely helpful with questions and queries always answering very quickly and promptly The area the apartment is in is a very poor area, a good 25min walk from the acropolis itself and main resturant area.
At night very dimly lit at entrance to apartments themselves. We felt its location was just too far out to pop back and go out again plus we were unconfident walking around the area with the people who frequented it unfortunately.
- Gerald (10/5): Very walkable location and you can't beat the view from the balcony! - The host was excellent to deal with. Thorough, accommodating and helped us even at the last minute when we needed things. The view from the balcony was excellent and the apartment had everything we needed. A few extra towels would have been appreciated but we managed with one towel per person just fine. Any longer of a stay though and it would have been better to have 2 bath towels and an extra bath mat.
- CYRIL (8/5): Covered what we had expected. air conditioners worked well - A better view of the Acropolis
- Jack (10/5): -
- Shona (10/5): Area is gritty but we felt save. Loved the big square nearby ( across and up the road) where we f - The apartment was roomy and light. Loved the view of the Acropolis from the balcony Having two sets of keys. We had to keep going up and down to put the keys back for my daughter and husband. Apparently we should have asked for two sets of keys when we booked
- Matteo (10/5): Exceptional - The only missing thing was the shower gel
- Liviana (8/5): Excellent location, spacious apartment but poorly furnished - Location close to the Plaka.
Cleanliness and kindness of the owner. The layout of the apartment was beautiful and spacious, but the furnishings were minimal.
For two beds, there was only one nightstand.
Out of two bathrooms, only one had a shower.
There were no decorative elements, no paintings, and overall it felt really empty.
Only one liquid soap per each bathroom, no shampooing or solid soap.
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Very responsive to messages, air con in each room that was separately controlled so each of us could have the room set as we wanted.
- Tofi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sherry (9/5): Large apartment for a group of five. - Nice, big place with a good kitchen. It has 3 bedrooms with 1.5 baths and worked well for my family of 5 - 3 adult children.
The owner met us and walked through the apartment with us, showing us how to turn on the hot water. We should have asked him how to work the washing machine, since we had troubles. It’s a little bit away from the tourist area (25 min walk), but we knew that. The walk is a bit sketchy, so taking a bus might be better. All the grocery stores and many restaurants in the non-tourist area close on Sunday, which we didn’t know. That is no reflection on the owner, but just useful information.
The bed in the one middle room lacks support, so my son-in-law slept there and my daughter slept on the couch.
- Jan (8/5): Very good - Perfect location A School in Front of the bedrooms. Be aware that at 8 in the morning it gets pretty noisy.
- Jelle (9/5): Superb -
- René (10/5): Great place to stay with a group of people - Location within walking distance from main sights, spacious apartment
- Jodi (1/5): Location safety - The accommodations were nice, clean and modern. No complaints about the accommodations themselves. We were a trio older women who would have been staying both nights. The couple that was with us that was supposed to stay the first night was not comfortable with the area and how far we would have to walk to get the hop on hop off bus especially late in the evening/ night by ourselves. They did not feel it was a safe area and when they asked about it to others they said was fine during the day but would not go out at night. We did not stay either night at the apartment.
- Brad (8/5): Very good -
- Sopo (9/5): Superb -
- Eva (10/5): Perfect for the family with kids. Excellent communication and attitude. - All necessary things are in the apartment. Comfortable living space. Near to the downtown.
- Cade (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (7/5): Good -
- David (9/5): Quiet building, cool, modern, neat area to explore - Liked the location, with only short walks to main squares and shopping The neighborhood itself was great to explore (with two Michelin-starred restaurants within two blocks - if that matters to you). Loved having balconies and shutters to stop the hot sun. Used the washing machine several times, so appreciated the drying rack. Plenty of space to store clothes in the bedrooms, and lots of kitchen counter space. Liked it all, but would suggest a few VERY minor things: update the welcome book, have more rugs or curtains to dampen the sound (kind of echo-y), explain how to use the TV, and explain how/if there are lights in the stairwell.
- Sally (10/5): All good, good location and clean -
- Alin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Johnena (6/5): Pleasant -
- Andrada (7/5): Good location but not worth the money we paid. Not a very pleasant experience. - Location was great, close to the Acropolis and other points of interest in Athens. Supermarkets, bars and restaurants are close by as well. The view from the balcony in the living room of the Acropolis is beautiful. Spacious apartment, comfortable with two bathrooms, a washing machine and balconies in the bedrooms as well. The apartment can easily fit at least 7 people. The couch in the living room is very comfortable and the kitchen table is also big.
Recommendations were helpful. They were sent via email before the arrival and also found them printed in a folder in the apartment. Unfortunately the experience left us with a bitter taste overall. I booked this apartment in July for a December stay with my family (4 people). I had looked at other apartments in the area and finally booked this one because the price was decent and it said it fits 8 people. I started communicating with the host a week before to let him know the time of our arrival. The day of the arrival, Gabriel messaged me to ask me how many people we are because the reservation was made for 1 person. Not sure what the issue was with booking and why only 1 person was listed, but again, I made this reservation in July for an apartment that fits 8 people for a reason. Why would I book a 3 bedroom apartment for 1 person(?) 4 hours before our arrival, Gabriel informed me that since we are 4 people, I have to pay an additional 20 euros per person per night for the additional 2 people ( over two). The total came to an additional 280 euros. Considering this was the day of the reservation and we were already on our way there, Gabriel left me with no choice but pay this difference. I find that to be very unprofessional. I would not have booked this apartment had I known he charges extra over two people. I booked the apartment 6 months before knowing it fits up to 8 people and it will be enough for me and my family of four. As a result, I had to reach out to booking.com, speak to customer service and authorize my card for an additional 280 euros the day of my arrival. That alone was an inconvenience for me.
I ended up paying way more than I wanted for a stay in Athens but the most annoying thing for me is that I was given no choice. We stayed in the apartment for 6 days and our experience was the following:
We received 3 rolls of toilet papers for 4 people for 6 days. You do the math. We had to buy our own.
1 towel and 1 hand towel each- same towels for 6 days. There were no extras in the closet. Same for the bed linens.
- Sangmook (8/5): Spacious 3-bedroom apartment in a good location - Perfect location with decent acropolis view. Three of the rooms seemed to be big enough to accommodate more than 5 people although I stayed by myself. There are also a spacious living room and two restrooms. Most importantly, you can also see acropolis from the balcony, which is the reason why you might have chosen this apartment. Nothing special. The overall quality of apartment was good without question.
- Janne (8/5): Very good -
- Ninja (10/5): Large apartment with nice balcony view. -
- Dejan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Satoru (10/5): Exceptional -
- Greg (10/5): Live amongst the locals! - We loved the location! 10 minutes walk to the ancient Agora and all the tourist stuff! It was a great experience for us to live amongst the locals and enjoy some superb local food in the myriad of cafes and restaurants in the surrounding streets! Another great feature for us was the Nespresso style coffee machine (you can get the pods in MyMarket a few minutes from the apartment). Gabriel was a very good host who replied to messages very quickly! We will definitely stay there again when we return to Athens! Nothing!
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debra (9/5): Superb - Excellent location.
- Diacos (10/5): great place to stay in Athens - location
- Olga (10/5): Exceptional - Gabriel was very nice! None
- Michelle (9/5): Superb - This was a spacious apartment walking distance to attractions easy to accommodate 5 adults local restaurants exceptional
