Guest Reviews
- Sherlyn (6/5): It was a pleasant stay just need to clean up the hair other then that all good. - It was small but very cute. What I didn’t like about the property is the cleanliness the beds had so much hair and so did the bathroom floor and the living room floor as well. Other then that it was a pleasant stay.

- Lina (8/5): Convenient location, don’t need to stay very near popular locations - Comfortable stay Refused to provide additional towels for the 7day stay

- Hisashi (8/5): - Location was okay,
3 train stations were walk distance. If you stay long that you have to
Buy something by your self.

- Jonas (10/5): Great accommodation!! - Great room/rooms, we were three people and it was perfect for us, as shown in pictures and no surprises, we were very satisfied with the accommodation. About five minute walk from Umeyashiki station and there is a Seven eleven in the station and a family Mart when you cross the road on your way to the accommodation, there is also a supermarket along the way to Futaba heights were we stopped every night before going to the room. Quiet area so please have that in mind if you think of booking this room, there are resedential houses around the building and locals want their peace and quiet at night. Overall a really nice accommodation and we will book again when we go back to Tokyo. Can't think of anything really, maybe that you hear the neighbors pretty easily but thats a Japan thing, not a Futaba heights thing.
- Jian (9/5): 很舒适 - 很干净,社区很安静,不错
- Natchapat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pudlicki (8/5): Nice comfortable space away from the bustling city but requires longer time to get anywhere. - Comfortable and spacious Location made for long walks and trains to get anywhere
- Kieranbutler70 (8/5): A terrific modern apartment with great transport links nearby. - A great little apartment about 15 minutes on the train from Shinagawa. There are two stations in Kamata in walking distance nearby that run express to Tokyo central. The apartment is neat, modern and even includes a bath. You'll get real taste of day to day life in Japan staying here. Would definitely stay again in the future. Being unable to empty the bin in the apartment anywhere nearby during our six night stay was a little bit frustrating. Access to the washing machine in the apartment would also have been helpful.

- Budimanamatminjadi (9/5): Superb - Futaba Heights: A Deep Dive into Local Ota Ward Life (3-Night Review)
My recent 3-night stay at Futaba Heights in Ota Ward offered a truly immersive experience into the daily rhythms of local Tokyo life. If you're looking for a sterile, tourist-bubble hotel, this isn't it. But if you crave authenticity and a chance to experience the real pulse of the neighborhood, Futaba Heights delivers.
The Good:
* Location, Location, Location: Nestled amongst residential streets, Futaba Heights provides a genuine glimpse into everyday Japanese life. It's a welcome change from the bustling tourist hubs, allowing you to observe families going about their routines, kids playing in parks, and the quiet charm of a local neighborhood. While not directly in the heart of major attractions, the proximity to the train station (specify which station if you know it) made getting around surprisingly easy. I particularly enjoyed exploring the local shops and restaurants, discovering hidden gems I wouldn't have found in a tourist-heavy area.
* Local Vibe: This is the biggest draw. You're not just staying in Tokyo, you're experiencing Tokyo. The friendly atmosphere of the neighborhood was palpable, and I felt a sense of belonging, even for just a few days. I enjoyed strolling through the streets, observing the architecture, and soaking in the peaceful ambiance.
* (Mention specific amenities you enjoyed, if any. For example): The room, while compact, was clean and comfortable. The (mention specific amenity, e.g., kitchenette) was a definite plus, allowing me to prepare simple meals and save on dining out. The (mention specific staff interaction, if any) was particularly helpful and offered great recommendations for local restaurants.
* Value for Money: (Only mention if applicable) For the price, Futaba Heights offered excellent value, especially considering the unique experience it provided. All good.
- Zainuddin (8/5): Very good -
- Anawalla (10/5): Exceptional - What great service and communication. The property owner did a very good job at proving me with instructions on how to find the hotel and instructions on how to open the keybox. The room was very clean and my favorite part was the shower and bath. The water gets very hot and I like that. I plan on visiting Ota City soon and I would defineltly stay here again.
- Edwin (3/5): Hidden charges - Nothing. At first I thought it was affordable. Booking.com even told me that “you are lucky as this unit is seldom available”. Little did I know how disappointed I will be. The worst part for me was after I paid what I thought was $110 per 2 night, it turned out to be $220 per 2 night charged to my card ! And when I checked, it was because another 100% was added to the amount for other charges and fees. Such hidden charges tactic leaves a very bad taste. This shouldn’t be the practice. Hence I have to write this review to warn others. Sorry The worst part for me was after I paid what I thought was $110 per 2 night, it turned out to be $220 per 2 night charged to my card ! - Petiafo (8/5): Very good -
- Kullapatsorn (5/5): Passable -
- Jonathan (10/5): Perfect, will definitely come again - Amazing location, large space, and very clean
- Ben (8/5): Very good - Parking is provided, just ask the host. Cozy onsen.
- Noreen (8/5): Great - Clean, location is only 5 min on foot from Umeyashiki station and 2 min away from the grocery store. The unit has everything you need except for the iron and ironing board.
- Paul (10/5): Confusion - Last minute accomodation due to a booking com unconformatoon on a booking i made a wedk or two ago made our reservation seemless Fuutaba heights was not on the list ... cabs wanted to go to the other Futaba hotel miles away... had to use ota city gymnasium as a pickup point
- 嘉敏 (10/5): Worth the price. - Room is big enough. Facilities are well equipped and good for use. Have bathtub is good for relax and recover.
- Cecil (1/5): Consider other places... - Not applicable. The location pictures were not accurately represented on booking.com. The site we arrived at looking nothing like the photos. The location was unclean (used tissues on the floor, hair on the beds, used disposable cutlery in the sink). The location owners were very unhelpful with this, we ended up going somewhere else.
Given the favorable reviews on booking.com, I can only assume they have multiple properties and we got one of the bad ones. There are lots of better places to stay in Tokyo.
- Alysse (10/5): A wonderful experience! - Only a 5 minute walk from umeyashiki station and only a 10 minute walk from Keikyu-Kamata station. Very spacious room with a TV and and working washing machine! The shower was wonderful as well including a shower chair and a high water pressure shower head. The staff is also super friendly and quick to respond to questions. The beds were a little cramped considering I'm 5'11 (1.80 m)
- Lauren (8/5): Very good - Great location The noise from upstairs - they scrape chairs and stomp around every evening until 11pm - and then have the audacity to complain about our children making noise during the day time.
- Ana (9/5): A nice and comfortable place in a quiet and convenient zone. - The property was clean and it had a nice look between a traditional and modern japanese house.
The location was great, there were a lot of convenience stores and food places nearby, and almost no external noise. We also had the Umeyashiki Station really close to the property.
The host was also very nice and helped us when we wanted to extend our stay It probably doesn't fit the style but we would have liked the property to have one more toilet.
