• Maksym (1/5): Oplichter - Niks De eigenaar heeft geweigerd om mij in te checken omdat ik zogenaamd te laat was, wat niet zo is geweest. Nam herhaaldelijk telefoon niet op en weigerde mee te werken met de incheckprocedure, vervolgens annullerde hij hele verblijf van 4 dagen zonder restitutie omdat ik zogenaamd niet had ingecheckt. Al met al oplichters. Gelukkig heeft booking mijn geld teruggegeven.

• Celine (1/5): Sehr unseriös - nie wieder - - Bei der Adresse gab es keinen Hinweis auf das Apartment (keine Anschrift, kein Schloss, keine Kontaktperson - nichts). Eine Bewohnerin an der Adresse, wusste von keinem Apartment für Touristen. Nachdem ich den Vermieter 2-mal vergeblich angerufen habe, hat ein Freund von ihm zurückgerufen und uns mitgeteilt, dass wir nicht ins Apartment können. Er sagte uns, er hätte eine Alternative für 3 Nächte, jedoch hatten wir 4 Nächte gebucht gehabt. Daraufhin kam der Freund des Vermieters persönlich zum Eingang des Apartments mit Infos zu anderen Apartments. Er sagte, das Apartment, welches wir gebucht hätten, hätte kein Strom, daher kann er uns nicht reinlassen. Gemäss einer Bewohnerin des Gebäudes hatte es aber zu dem Zeitpunkt Strom im Gebäude. Der Vermieter gab dem Freund über das Telefon Anweisungen. Er wollte, dass wir unsere Buchung stornieren und eine alternative Unterkunft von ihm Buchen. Das wollte ich nicht, da ich Angst hatte, mein Geld nicht zurück zu erhalten. Zudem war das alternative Apartment nur für 1 Nacht und kleiner als das gebuchte. Danach hätten wir wieder wechseln müssen in ein noch viel schlechteres. Wir fühlten uns vom Vermieter gedrängt. Er war sehr ausfallend am Telefon. Er sagte, er könne auch die Stornierung auslösen und ich solle das bestätigen. Das wollte ich aus den genannten Gründen ebenfalls nicht. Ich bot an gemeinsam Booking anzurufen, was der Vermieter nicht wollte. Wir riefen Booking selber an und erklärten die Situation. Über Booking konnten wir eine neue Unterkunft buchen und uns wurde die volle Rückerstattung zugesagt. Am Folgetag hat der Vermieter von Plaka Sweet House 1 ein Stornierung seinerseits ausgelöst und behauptet, wir seien nicht angereist. Ich hatte das Gefühl, er wollte bezwecken, dass wir nicht die volle Rückerstattung erhalten und wir die Unterkunft nicht bewerten können. Booking hat dies nachträglich korrigiert. FAZIT: Der Vermieter wirkt sehr unseriös. Es fühlt sich wie ein Betrugsversuch an.

• YANIV (8/5): - הדירה גדולה ומרווחת, ממוקמת בלב האזור התיירותי קרובה להכל ברגל, אזור בטוח להליכה גם בשעות הלילה. המיטה נוחה מאוד , סלון ומטבח מרווחים יחסית לדירות נופש קשה מאוד ליצור קשר עם חברת הניהול של הנכס, לא זמינים בוואטאפ ולא בטלפון, רק דרך אפליקציית בוקינג, היתה סתימה בשירותים מהרגע שהגענו לדירה והיא טופלה רק ביום למחרת בצהריים, למרות זאת אחזור לדירה בעתיד.
• Ikramuddin (8/5): - The location is excellent. Very close to all landmarks. The landlord of BNB was a bit strange and unhelpful. Transfer charges were steep compared to if one takes a taxi from airport to the house.

• Debbie (8/5): Excellent location, would stay there again. - Excellent Location, close to Acropolis, numerous restaurants and shops. Host was friendly and helpful , responded quickly to phone call and WhatsApped information regarding restaurants, which we asked for. Did have to wait outside for him to arrive, was only 15 minutes. Bathroom fittings were loose , need tightening, that is , hook to hang towel , soap dispenser and mirror on wall. Shower floor made of marble is very slippery. Dirty marks along wall in living room should be cleaned. Temporary problems that can be easily fixed.

• Hana (9/5): wonderful - the location was amazing, easy access to all the attractions, and touristic areas, never uses a taxi or other public transportation unless going to the airport! host is very friendly, and responsive I could have given it 10/10 but had an incident where someone broke into the apartment while I was away ( no clue how), and stole some of my custom jewelry, they couldn't find my hidden passport nor cash fortunatelly!! I recommend to put cameras at the main building enterance, and in front of the apartment door! It would have been nice to put a mat right outside the shower

• Rosalind (8/5): Very good - The property has a great location being on the edge of the Plaka area but away from the hustle and bustle of that area. It is located in a quiet residential street and is in easy walking distance to most areas of Athens. There are many great eating places close to the apartment and which are generally not crowded like many other areas. The apartment was very comfortable and a great space to return after a day on the go around Athens. It would have been appreciated if a kettle was available in the apartment and maybe a toaster.

• David (10/5): Comfortable, safe, great location - Great location walking distance from the sights and restaurants. Bakery for fresh croissants and coffee less than 1 minute away. But kitchen was well stocked too with Nespresso machine on the bar and pots and pans. Large (for Europe) fridge and freezer. Easy walk to Syntagma metro for transfer to/from airport. In Plaka neighborhood, 10 minute walk to Monistaraki and Psyrri. Athens can look and smell a little rough. This location was a nice, safe hide away. Would be nice if they also had an electric water cooker like you find in most rentals in Europe. Met host at check in who arrived within 10 minutes of our arrival. I prefer the lockbox check in that we had at most places on our trip.
• Susan (8/5): Overall, despite the initial poor communication/reception, a good experience. - The location was perfect! So close to the best walking neighborhoods with great shopping and food, the acropolis, etc., but on a quiet side street. And the apartment itself was comfortable, with everything needed. The initial communication with the management was lacking: I told them our expected arrival time and asked about the possibility of checking in one hour early, but got no response after many messages through booking.com, by email, and through what’s app. Eventually, they responded saying that we would at least be able to store our luggage in the apartment until check in time. But when we arrived, after a 10.5 hour flight and in 95 degree weather, we were told that we couldn’t store our bags and that the apartment wouldn’t be ready until a half hour after check in time. So, we had to wait in the street with our luggage in 95 degrees for 1.5 hours until the apartment was ready. Nonetheless, after that not-so-great first impression, communication was good. We had some trouble with the wifi/Netflix and someone came to fix it right away.

• Julie (8/5): Nice place in a great location. Would have liked to stay longer. - Great location, clean & comfortable. The accommodation we had booked had lost power on the day we were booked in so we were offered a slightly larger accommodation at no extra cost. The landlord was very helpful and offered a paid transfer to the airport at 3.45am. The lock was a little tricky but the owner said they would be renovating later this year and the door will be replaced. It was not so bad once you got used to it.

• Maria (8/5): We had a great time. - The location was great. They is a grocery store around the corner and you are close to the restaurant and sights. It was great to be able to do laundry 🧺 The slider do not lock so we had to have the metal blinds down to secure it. I was disappointed that the staff wouldn’t help us with a taxi to the rental car place. They will get you a taxi driver to the airport or port but not local taxis.

Great location: just round the corner from pretty pedestrianised lanes with many restaurants and nice shops, a short walk to the principal monuments and 10 minutes' walk from both the airport bus terminus and a hop-on-hop-off bus stop. The mattress was too hard for us, so we didn't sleep well.

• Jason (10/5): The perfect home away from home - The good reviews here are all true, this is a fantastic place to stay. It was perfect in all aspects, cleanliness, location, comfort, communication, facilities, value. Really appreciated the freshly cleaned towels sealed in plastic. Also the kitchen is well equipped with items like tea, coffee, olive oil, honey, salt pepper etc. Couch is extremely comfortable (and large) and nice lighting to create a cozy feel. Roller shutters on windows made us feel very safe at night. Plaka neighbourhood, Acropolis and surrounds all within short walk. This place is amazing! Laundry detergent was quite low, and translations to the washing machine functions would be helpful (we used Google Translate app). But overall this is a perfect place.
• Yumeng (10/5): This place truly elevated our trip in Athens, will definitely book here again for my next visit. - This is the perfect place to stay visiting Athens for couples! The most impressive element is the location. It’s right inside the old town area Plaka, so close to all the archeological attractions (literally living among them, and you can even see the Acropolis from the lovely balcony). Apart from the attractions, this is where the most restaurants, bars, cafes and stores are situated, so you can free at ease and stay late wandering in the neighbourhood, having a meal and some drinks right next to the ancient ruins and immerse yourself in the grand views of the Acropolis hill, the agoras and all in sunrise as well as under the stars, the apartment is always just within 10mins walk away so it never felt like a mission doing anything. The neighbourhood itself is really lovely and pretty, it’s right in the heart of the most touristy part of town but on a street where all the tourists and stores suddenly disappear and quiet down. You can even get a flavour of the local life, and there’s a grocery store 2 mins away. It’s truly magical. The apartment itself is impeccable as well. A very decent one bedroom flat for two people, quite spacious and equipped with everything you’ll need - from air conditioning to Nespresso machine. There’s an electric hob and oven in the kitchen as well as cutlery, cookware and tableware, so it should be very convenient if you ever need to cook something yourselves. The bathroom is also decent size with a washing machine. The shower is really easy to use with great hot water and pressure. The lighting in the apartment is also very lovely. The bed is slightly on the hard side but very comfortable. There’s also a large set-in wardrobe in the bedroom which is always helpful. Everything is perfect! And one more trivial thing to add that really impressed me is that the textile throw covering the sofa. I always get slightly uncomfortable with textile covered furnitures in hotels and airbnbs as they are not washable, but the textile sofa had been covered by a really comfy and clean throw which they can wash and change like the beddings for all guests. That just make me felt even more relaxed and at ease in the apartment! Finally, the host Sophia is so lovely and really helpful. She delivered the key and took us through the apartment herself, and always replied the messages promptly. Really lovely host.
