• Jean Michel (6/5): Logement très bien situé, MAIS... - Petit appartement en entresol, idéalement placé — au pied même de la colline de l'Acropole — et parfait pour découvrir le quartier sans perdre de temps dans les transports. L’appartement est bien équipé, cuisine comportant tout l'électroménager nécessaire pour se faire tous les repas d’une journée, il y a un coffre fort pour les biens de valeur, internet qui fonctionne bien, beaucoup de place dans les placards, climatisation, ventilateur sur pied et pas mal de bouquins en plusieurs langues. Le lieu n’est pas exempt de défauts et quelques points méritent cependant d'être améliorés. Le principal concerne la literie : le matelas est complètement affaissé, donnant davantage la sensation de dormir dans une "baignoire" que dans un lit. Il serait souhaitable de le remplacer rapidement. Autre souci, la salle de bain. Malgré sa taille correcte et sa douche spacieuse, elle sentait fortement les égouts. Une fenêtre oscillo-battante, protégée par des barreaux, constitue le seul moyen d'aérer la pièce pour limiter ces odeurs mais celle-ci donne sur un soubassement d’immeuble en permanence éclairée et laisse la salle de bain modérément éclairée jour et nuit. Il y a un sèche-serviettes mural et un sèche-cheveux à disposition. L'isolation phonique laisse également à désirer : on entend distinctement les voitures se garer devant les fenêtres, comme si elles entraient dans le salon, ainsi que les conversations des passants, heureusement la rue n’est pas très passante. Il est dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de miroir en pied dans l’appartement, il y a pourtant plusieurs pans de mur sur lesquels on pourrait en fixer un, le seul miroir du lieu se trouve dans la salle de bain Enfin, la lumière extérieure peut gêner le sommeil : la porte d'entrée laisse passer l'éclairage de la rue la nuit et la clarté du jour au matin. Un rideau occultant sur rail entre la cuisine et le salon serait le bienvenu… Heureusement, j’avais un masque de nuit ! En somme, un appartement vraiment bien situé et fonctionnel, mais qui mériterait quelques améliorations pour devenir aussi agréable qu'il pourrait l'être.
• Tuyet-Ha (9/5): Amazing location with everything I needed for an absolutely wonderful one week stay! - The proximity to the Acropolis, metro and was close to Plaka neighborhood and shops, the availability of a nearby convenience store for food and misc items, the layout of the apartment space as well as all of the appliances that enabled me to eat in and regulate the temperature to my comfort level. Secure area with police presence at night because of the Acropolis. Trash containers were across the road. The odd opaque window in the shower that has an alcove directly on the opposite side. The light in that alcove was initially on then turned off. It made me feel uneasy that someone potentially is on the other side watching you shower.

• Caroline (8/5): Perfectly placed, cute apartment - I couldn’t have wished for a better location. The apartment is small, but perfectly formed. The kitchen (we didn’t use it) seemed more than adequate for a few days away. It had a homely feel to it with the books and decor, I would stay here again. There are a few improvements needed. The bathroom although looks fine from a distance, needed a much better deep clean. There is also black mould in the shower. It could do with some renovation work. The bed is small, but we knew this before and managed ok with the size, my husband is 1m83 and it was just ok for him, any taller and it’s not for you. It was also sinking in the middle, so could do with a new sturdier mattress.

• Ronit (10/5): A wonderful apartment to stay in the centre of Athens. - This was by far our favourite stay in Athens. The apartment had all the comforts we needed. Clean, nice bathroom for two and a well-equipped kitchen to prepare some light meals. The bed was very comfortable and, although tucked against the wall, this didn’t bother us at all. Its location, just a short walk from the Acropolis,meant we were close to everything. The metro is only about 6 minutes away, making it easy to get around. Even though it’s on the ground floor, there was very little traffic or street noise, and the air-conditioning handled the summer heat beautifully. The host was incredibly responsive and even reached out during our stay to check in, which was a lovely touch. One thing to note: parking is only available on the street, and spaces are extremely limited. We chose to use public transport instead, which worked out perfectly and saved us the hassle. Nothing

• Danielle (10/5): Exceptional - The Acropolis is just a couple of steps away, yet the area is still pretty quiet with very little foot traffic. Grocery shop, and a metro station was also just within a 5-min walk.

You won't find a better location than this especially if it's your first time and you want to see important sites and do some exploring. <5 min from the subway train station. 8.5euro for a 5-day pass that includes bus, trains, trams. You can get anywhere you want to go without a car with one of these passes. You can literally look up as you step out of your front door and see the Acropolis and a few steps you are on the pedestrian street. Street performers, eateries, coffee places, bakeries and 2 min from your front door is the Acropolis museum and excavation site. The apartment is so comfortable and includes a kitchen with a stove and a kettle. The books were interesting. Loved the bed and the whole apt set up. Found a laundromat 5 min away with a fruit place next door that even did fresh fruit juices, a brunch place to die for, a cafe/book store place where I found a Manga version of The Alchemist, another coffee bar and also a traditional Greek restaurant. I can't think of a better location. Many places require you to throw away used toilet paper instead of flushing and this is one of those places. Not a big deal to me but may be for you. Won't deter me or my friends from staying here in the future.
• Leanda (9/5): Great place in the center of Athens - The location was excellent. The metro was a 4-5 minute walk, and of course, the Acropolis was literally just outside the door. The kitchen and full-size refrigerator were great and made everything easier. Most importantly we weren't in the Plaza, but we're close enough to be anywhere in the area we wanted with only a few minutes walk. Wifi worked well and the host was very helpful. Definitely recommended.
• Nina (8/5): Location. Location. Location. - Location is unbeatable! Very clean, nicely used and decorated space. Smooth and clear communication with the owner. The property is ground floor, windows are approx. 1m above sidewalk level, no bars, so sleeping with windows open or leaving them open when absent will not work. The side street is calm.
• Kane (7/5): Location perfect, but the property deserves a little more care and attention. - You’ll struggle to get a better location in Athens. Kitchen and living space also added to the home comforts. Bathroom - had an odd smell, shower could be done with updating and the plumbing looked at along with some small additions such as new bath mat etc. air conditioning wasn’t the best, they do provide a fan in the living space however which we moved to the bed each night. Bed wasn’t very comfortable, I’d suggest a new mattress or at minimum a good mattress topper. Portal transfer service couldn’t help us with a taxi to the airport, a long wait to get a reply with confirmation of this so ended up getting an Uber which wasn’t massively more expensive, but did make for a stressful departure. I do think this was probably just unfortunate circumstances so I haven’t factored this into my overall score.

Such a cute minimalist flat in the best location, walkable to Plaka great for dinners as well as Monastiraki and only 5 mins from station and tour buses. Would definitely stay again on return to Athens! The window was unlocked on arrival but the host quickly responded so we could lock it. Unfortunately the shower head fixture on the wall was broken and we had to hold the shower head. We did let the host know who was looking for a technician but it was broken for the entirety of our stay.

• Rhmrh (9/5): Superb - Couldn't ask for a closer location, the acropolis and main walkway around is just outside your front door. You have a constant view of it when you leave the apartment. Very modern and we loved all of the books. In a nice safe area with the acropolis entrance 30 seconds away and the acropolis museum about a minute away. The location is phenomenal Bathroom is in need of a little updating and it is loud as the walls are thin. I have ear plugs so not a problem. We really needed a brush for sand after going to the beach.
• Garret (10/5): Excellent Location! Excellent Communication with Host! - The location was excellent; you walk out the door and to the left is the Acropolis! You walk 20' and you are on the street that is next to the Acropolis! I walked to every restaurant and bar to meet friends that were staying on Athens and never felt as if I were in danger. The apartment is perfect for a short stay or an extended stay with full kitchen and streaming services on the tv. All the comforts of home. The shower head and holder in the bathroom are broken. I would recommend replacing because water sprays everywhere.

• Vladimir (7/5): Good - - the host is very kind and helpful; - excellent location for sightseeing in the city center, Acropolis entrance is literally 5 minutes walk, most of the other sights are at walking distance. - mildew in the aircondition, can be a health hazard; - while the apartment was clearly cleaned before my arrival, they did not do a particularly good job. For example, I kept finding hair around the apartment and dead bugs; - quite some light and noise from the outside get to the apartment, I would not recommend the place for light sleepers.

We found out that we left our iPad in the room a few hours after we checked out. After informing the host of this, she immediately sent someone to help us with this and got the iPad back. I had a very good time in this house.

Despite being very central, it was also very quiet at night. The flat itself is spacious with a wonderful collection of books. Nice and cool inside in the summer months. Well equipped kitchen and separate work space and living area. The hosts were also very helpful and assisted me with some travel arrangements and regularly checked in to make sure I was comfortable. An excellent experience all round. I would definitely choose to stay here again. Don't miss the massage place on the neighbouring street and Django for 'slowfood' gelato/sorbet! Nothing

The apartment is exactly as described. perfect for a couple. Host was quick to respond to our queries and great to deal with. The bed was a little small for my tall husband, otherwise everything else was perfect.
