• Frank (10/5): Fantastische flat in het oude hart van Athene, op loopafstand van alle bezienswaardigheden - Perfecte locatie, op 15 min wandelen van alle bezienswaardigheiden en vlak bij de grote shopping straat, supermarkt om de hoek en overal eettentjes en restaurants. Heel ruim, super mooi ingerichte flat, met kitchenette, en aparte badkamer. Heel fijn dat er veel handdoeken waren, ook 1 kleintje per dag voor de handen, afwasproducten, voorraadje koffie capsules, wat water, cola, een lekker flesje Griekse wijn, en een biertje. We kregen ook 2 zakken beschuit/brood! We werden op paaszaterdag verrast met een zelfgebakken paasbrood! De host nam ook 's contact op met ons om te vragen of alles oké was. Op het einde was het afvalzakje vol (we bleven 5n) en ze kwam speciaal nieuwe brengen. Betere service, grotere kamer dan een hotel en je hebt alle vrijheid! Leuk om een keukentje te hebben, zo spaar je kosten uit. Heel fijn dat je zelf kan inchecken en niet moet wachten op de host. Vlakbij de metro gelegen! Er is was heel veel lawaai op straat. We hadden dit in andere reviews gelezen dus we hadden oordoppen bij maar toch hadden we er last van. De eigenaars kunnen hier natuurlijk zelf niet aan doen. Het wende wel na een paar nachten. Er stonden straatmuzikanten met boxen op de hoek met Ermou, elke avond. 1 maal spraken we hen aan, onze dochter was al naar bed, en toen toonden ze begrip en gingen ze meteen weg.

• Portia (9/5): Fabulous! - - Fabulous location, could get to anywhere we needed and so close to the station and Acropolis. - Angeliki is an amazing host and was very attentive - Bed was super comfy as were the pillows - Shower had great water pressure and hot water was easy to operate - Wine and fruits were provided as was many a recommendation for eating - Very good value for money - Floor gets a bit wet from the shower and the water pressure in the toilet is a bit too high so water sometimes splashed out after flushing. Minor issues though which wouldn’t stop us from coming back to stay again! 🙂

Well deserved of her Booking.com awards Highly recommend There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like at all However, just worth mentioning a couple of things which might help future travelers: For the air conditioning to work you have to have all the windows closed which we worked out after a few minutes of trial and error! The apartment block is called Elite from the street, and this apartment is called La Mouette The shower doesn’t drain very quickly, just the way it is in Greece, so your best to have the water pressure on mid stream rather than full pelt just to help

Inoltre ci - Struttura in zona centrale a due minuti a piedi dalla metro Monasteraki (M3 blu) che collega tutta Atene dall’aeroporto al Pireo. Struttura accogliente e comoda per tre persone, rifinita in ogni suo particolare. Sotto casa i migliori gyros di Atene!
• DEE (9/5): A very cool apartment in exciting Monastiraki - The location was just perfect and Angeliki's directions were very helpful. The location and apartment felt secure and safe. We also loved the contemporary feel of the apartment and for a small space, everything has been designed so it feels spacious and practical. An organised guest offering of packaged coffee and tea would have been great. The rest of the apartment and setup was extremely organised, so this felt a little bit low end.

• Shameka (10/5): Amazing location and great host! - Exceptional location! Right in the middle of monstiraki area and on Ermou shopping street. The host was great and made us feel very comfortable with our first apartment rental since we are used to staying in hotels. The street noise is loud, but not unbearable and stops around 11 pm. Bring earplugs and you'll be fine. The location and host are so great that it's an excellent trade off.

Right on the main pedestrian shopping street but quiet in the back of the building. Many restaurants around. Supermarkets nearby. Metro station three minutes away, directly to the airport. Tastefully and beautifully furnished/decorated apartment. Spacious, bright and airy. Very comfortable and relaxing. Attention to all details, including a multi plug socket recharging four devices at a time without an adaptor. Well-equipped kitchenette perfect for breakfast. Very nice to have both coffee pods and Greek coffee. The host kind and responsive. Always available on WhatsApp. Fresh fruits, breads for breakfast, water and wine provided for free. We will come back.

The location is fantastic, 3 mins to the metro station which can bring you from the airport. Lots of restaurants nearby. The only downside is that it is very noisy outside and nearby church rung bells at 06:52 am and 8:33 am

• Marcel (10/5): Location, location, location - La Mouette is in an incredibly good location. It starts upon arrival, as it is located near the Monastiraki metro station, making it easy to take the metro from the airport—no taxi needed. Once you’re settled in, you’ll find yourself just seconds to a few minutes away from numerous charming restaurants, shops, and attractions. You can simply walk to the Acropolis, the Roman Agora, Hadrian’s Library, and other ancient sites. You’re right where everything is happening! If you get tired from all the walking, sightseeing, shopping, or indulging in Greece’s delicious offerings, you can easily head back to La Mouette to rest. The apartment provides everything you need: a comfortable bed, plenty of space, a small kitchen with coffee makers, an induction stove, and a spacious fridge. The bathroom is nice, featuring a walk-in shower. The bed is comfortable. The apartment is tastefully and uniquely decorated—a true little paradise. And the owner has a thing for lighting, but you’ll find that out for yourself :-) Communication with the owner is excellent and pleasant. She is available for any questions you may have. In short, we couldn’t imagine a better place to stay for a city trip to Athens. Truly excellent and enjoyable! the elevators to the apartment are a little small, but that is something the owner cannot do something about

• Lara (9/5): The place looks exactly like the picture, it’s clean and very central, close to everything, we didn’t need to catch the - It was very central and close to everything, didn’t really had to take the metro. It’s nice to put your head out of the window and see the acropolis Quite noisy at night but not too bad tbh, I managed to fall asleep every night. Perhaps if you are a very light sleeper not ideal.

The apartment is ultra modern looking and all facilities and amenities were first class. The owner made sure if we needed anything, she would help. We got recommendations for great local food places too. The location is perfect. Close to Monastriaki station to get to and from the airport easily. Food and shopping surrounds you. The Acropolis is a very easy walk away. We cannot fault anything here and we will stay here again when we return to Athens.

The location is great - we could walk to where we wanted to go, yet it was really quiet (apart from a little street noise) and we felt safe. We felt very welcome and looked after by our host. It was pretty special seeing the acropolis from the window (you have to pop your head out a bit).

It had everything one needed and more. It is very secure and safe. Angelika was very attentive and helpful via WhatsApp messaging. There was fresh fruit, water and even a bottle wine left for guests. Very nice touch. We would stay there again and I would highly recommend this property as it has a great location near the station and all the fantastic restaurants. The air conditioner was somewhat noisy and we could not turn it on with the remote. Had to stand on a ladder to turn it on manually. It was very hot during our stay, A quiet adjustable floor fan would have been a welcome addition. The water pressure was too high and when flushing the toilet even on a small flush, some toilet water would come spraying out under the seat onto the floor. The pillows were a bit too firm for our liking. It would be nice to have one firm pillow and one softer pillow for guests to choose. Being in a busy part of Athens some street noise is to be expected but generally surprisingly quiet after midnight.

• Julia (10/5): Fabulous location, clean and spacious apartment, heart of athens! - My partner and I were extremely happy with our stay at la mouette! It was our first stop on our European holiday and it has set our standards for the rest of the trip! It was in a fantastic location- a very short walk from the main Train station of Athens and in the centre of all the restaurants/ sights and shops! We could easily walk to the Acropolis and monastiraki square and there were endless options for food around us. The apartment was extremely clean and spacious and even had views of the Acropolis when you opened the window and looked out which was great! We found the bed very comfortable and the air conditioning kept the place cool and pleasant to sleep in, Angeliki the owner was very easy to get in touch with and left easy instructions for us to get into the apartment even though we arrived quite late on the first night. She sent through recommendations of places to eat and things to see and was wonderful to deal with. I will be recommending this accomodation to anyone else I know travelling to Athens as it couldn’t have been better location wise and we felt extremely safe and comfortable staying here ! I couldn’t fault this stay!
