Guest Reviews
- Elliria (7/5): - The quite place next to the transportation, good environment and neighbourhood. The apartment are tired and not very clean. Pictures weren't accurate.
- Maria Fernanda (9/5): Great location, cozy and CLEAN apartment! - The location was great, easy walk to S+U Westhafen. We also easily walked to Arminiusmarkthalle for dinner one night, which had a great environment and decent food options. A few minutes walk away from the apartment is a bar called Zaffke, which had great drinks that were reasonably priced. The area felt secure, and the courtyard was quiet and surrounded by plants. A previous reviewer complained about rats, which seems unreasonable. Its in a major city and at ground level, what do you expect? I had no issue with any animals inside or outside the apartment other than a spider, which is normal. There is a park nearby, which was closed for renovations during my stay, but it gives you access to a playground and the option to do calisthenics. A supermarket is also a few minutes walk away.
The apartment was cute, cozy, and super clean. You enter through a big red door, and immediately on your right is the light switch for the hall. Then you walk straight to the end and the building for the apartment is there. Easy to come and go. Since it is a semi-basement, the floor would get a bit cold, but the heaters worked well. I recommend keeping the windows open to circulate the air well, but I was there mid-March. There was a small kitchen which we used to make tiramisu easily and stored in the fridge. Not sure about cooking hot food, because we didn't get the chance to, but pans and plates were provided. They also provided coffee and tea, which we drank every day.
For what I paid, I was very happy. I think decent pricing is under $160/night. The layout has changed from the pictures provided, but not a big deal. I think the previous layout would've been preferable considering the location of the radiator and the windows, etc. Please get better curtains that cover up the entirety of the windows. I had to use a hair clip to hold them closed, and they were not long enough. The mattress was uncomfortable after a few days, and the pillows were not supportive. I would recommend improving these two for guests.
Since the floor is tile, providing slippers for every guest would be appreciated. I think more towels should also be provided and the washing machine made more easily accessible by clearing out the storage closet (which was packed with extra pillows, etc. Could be better organized with a storage system from IKEA so all supplies are stored away and closet space for hanging clothes is provided.
I also think that it would be better if you had higher quality toiletries, as well as hand soap at both sinks. The toiletries were cheap and smelled unpleasantly artificial on top of it not feeling good on the skin. This is my biggest complaint.
If I were traveling solo as a woman, I think I would also be a bit anxious entering and leaving. This is the responsibility of the building, but improved lighting at the front entrance (not referring to the hall, which does have a light) and in the courtyard would be great.
- Carlota (9/5): - The location was perfect for what I needed. It was also very well connected: you could reach the centre of Berlin by public transport in under 30 minutes, and Berlin Central Station was also less than 30 minutes away by public transport or about a 45-minute walk, which was very convenient.
The area was very quiet, safe, and had supermarkets nearby, which was really handy.
The apartment itself was great—well-equipped, comfortable, and clean. The check-in process was clearly explained and easy to follow.
I also want to mention how helpful the team was. They answered my questions at any time of the day, especially on the day of arrival, and provided useful information. Unfortunately, while using the washing machine, my clothes got stuck, and they had to call a technician to fix it. This showed that if you encounter any issues, they are always there to help, which I really appreciated.
The temperature in the apartment was perfect, and they provided body wash, hand soap, towels, dish soap, detergent, a sponge, as well as some coffee and tea. Everything was very well thought out.
- Samantha (8/5): Very good -
- Volha (8/5): Very good -
- Kerstin (3/5): Not a fan of the district of Berlin, no place for the car to park, bad smell; no recommendation - Bed and shower was okay. Wifi Code didn’t work, Someone had to come to fix it.
Very ! bad, mouldy smell from outside the terrace, so that one couldn’t open the door of the terrace. Coffeemaschine needs special capsules that are not there, not told before about it (so bring coffee filter)
Didn’t like the district of Berlin, especially for a single women at night.
- Michał (7/5): Ok - Close to any public transport and supermarkets, quiet neighbourhood It was very uncomfortable coming back home late - there was no light once you entered the building’s gate and the alley is VERY dark. The rest was acceptable but not worth this price
- Luka (8/5): Very good -
- Kelly (10/5): Good place to sojourn for some days. Is pretty much good cause you have kitchen your fridge ect. - It was all awesome.
