Guest Reviews
- Gennelle (8/5): - Location Leaking toilet
- Brigitte (6/5): Très compliqué. - L’emplacement.
- Marcio Miranda Da Silva (9/5): Excellent location, walking distance to everything. -
- Greg (6/5): - Nice location, easy to get around. Bathroom is in need of some repairs and had some minor mold.
- Ivana (9/5): - We were very happy with the accommodation. The communication with the accommodation was great. Even though it is in the center of town, there is no noise. The only thing that bothered us was the smell in the house - I think something was being painted before our stay. And also the smell in front of the house.
- Clare (1/5): - Good location So many issues, please respond to my previous messages yesterday and on 3rd August.
I have messaged but no response so far
- Rheaume (2/5): This should not be on booking.com. The place is not maintained to appropriate standards - The location The hosts were non-responsive
- Lili (9/5): -
- Jéssica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ben (3/5): a mistake - I liked leaving there.
WHAT BREAKFAST.. IT WAS self catering?? do you even look at this? I would not stay here again. I wanted to skip the whole Hotel type experience , as Ive done on occasion . This property whilst good enough location , was not at all worth anything like it was worth, It is very clever taking a non refundable fee. The place was dirty, a landlord should be embarrassed if asking a tenant to pay rent here.
as stated , never again.
- Tracy (7/5): Great location, but definitely a low-budget property - Great location, quite good value for money Very poor shower, quite tired and shabby decor, constant noise of a fan or motor in the roof (?) audible 24/7 in the bedrooms.
- Susan (8/5): Fine -
- Justin (1/5): Absolutely terrible. - The location was the only decent thing about this property. Nothing else. This property was awful. Highly recommend to never book. I've stayed in many places and this has topped to be the worst. No hot water until the day before we left. No water pressure in shower. Mold and dirty everywhere. Freezer completely frozen so unusable. They left only one roll of toilet paper for the 5 days. All the towels had nasty stains on them. The washing machine made your clothes worse than better. What a terrible experience. The customer support team for this property offered no support. They promised they'd send toilet paper and fresh towels - never to be seen. We just went out and bought our own. Travelled around the UK and this was the worst experience.
- Mark (4/5): Hope you don't need assistance. - Location is fabulous. We arrived Sept 27th and have been on the chat since Sept 28th as we have no hot water coming out of the tub. So cold showers only for a full week. We've been told time and time again that "management has been informed" and "sorry for the inconvenience" and finally yesterday (we left today) we were informed someone was coming to fix it. Did they? No.
Also, we found a garbage bag of dirty linens and wet towels in a closet on Saturday. That was finally picked up on Wednesday.
All in all a very disappointing experience. We certainly didn't spend this much money to go a week without a hot shower.
- Kat (1/5): !!! DO NOT BOOK: Illegal Tracking and Surveillance by Property: DO NOT BOOK - I was illegally tracked by the property. They concealed a tracking device in the key fob. I only found out because they an AirTag and my
iPhone alerted me. I contacted Booking.com for support. They refused to assist me. I have now reported this to property to the police. I am still waiting on a response from Booking.com to confirm they will remove this property from their listings and put policies in place to protect people from illegal activity by property owners.
- Gabor (7/5): Good - Location. Large apt, comfortable for two adults. Well equipped kitchen. The lock where the key is placed before and after, is very difficult to find and open. Had to borrow a hammer from a shop. Somebody entered the apt while we were not there and left it open. There is a chipolo attached to the keys, what we accidentally noticed, it was not mentioned beforehand.
The tap in the bathtub gives very little water.
- Jennifer (6/5): Low standard but still fine for a few days in Dublin thanks to being centrally located - On the positive side: it is centrally but not too noisy, you can easily reach key attractions by walking. I like the Daybreak shop right next to it for fast groceries. Having a washing machine and two full bedrooms is also a big plus. On the negative: low comfort due to not really clean, good part of interiors are old or broken like the fridge door, the display on the heating.
- Anna (8/5): Location is amazing. All major attractions are easily accessible on foot - The location is perfect - about 5-15 minutes on foot from the majority of Dublin attractions - Dublinia (200 meters), St. Patrick’s cathedral, Temple Bar District, Dublin castle, Guinness storehouse. Not enough hot water to get shower in the evening. There were 4 of us - 2 adults and 2 kids. If you really stingy with water, the 4th person will be able to take barely warm shower.
- Cassandra (3/5): Very disappointed as the property was selected to enhance our stay over New Years. - The location was good. Easy walking distance to everything. 24 hrs prior to arrival I had to chase confirmation and checkin details having already provided ID documentation. The lock box was rusty difficult to find and access. Disappointed in the overall cleanliness...mould in the bathroom, shower head would not stay up, no exhaust fan, fridge was not cleaned and had not been defrosted. No of lights didn't work..ie no bulbs or necessary connection and the stand alone heater in the 2nd bedroom the wheels were broken. There was no hot water upon arrival, had to request ...provided with a video as it had been turned off. Maintenance did fix the lighting and shower head 4days after arrival (around public holidays). Verbal communication would have been preferred rather than message only. Felt the team managing didn't really care questioning the legitimacy of my concerns and requesting photos to substantiate the issue. Cost of accommodation was very expensive considering other accommodation we stayed in throughout our visit to Ireland. Will not recommend.
- Ilaria (7/5): Good - Excellent location. It was not really clean.
- Eileen (9/5): Nice apartment in Dublin - Nice sized apartment with living, dining, kitchen and two bedrooms. 5 minutes from a hop on hop off bus. 52 stairs to access the apartment. Third floor apartment.
- Kara (7/5): Good - Great location with many local amenities. Good value fir the amount of space. Very comfy beds! Not 100% clean....needs some upkeep
- Anonymous (10/5): Lovely, would come again. - Convenience and proximity to St Patrick’s Cathedral and Down Town, and comfortable and clean. The stairs, having to climb up to the 6 th floor with suitcases.
- Mayra (7/5): Good - Clean apartment The fridge was freezing food instead of cooling it and neither when I mentioned this on our arrival day nor afterwards there was an adequate response to this problem - and one of the main reasons for an apartment instead of a hotel room is having a kitchen with a working fridge.
- Robert (5/5): Passable -
- Sara (5/5): Fine for a short stay - The location was walkable to several destinations. The shop owners of the Daybreak were lovely and remembered us each day, even if they did not have many options for actual food - great options for drinks. The top floor offered spectacular views of the city. There was no hot water. It came out of the shower as a dribble. On our last day, we had to bring water from the sink to the toilet to flush it because there was NO running water in the bathroom. Cold showers after walking all day in the rain was not ideal. There were no instructions for the television set, or how to access channels, and the batteries in the remote were nearly dead, or it just didn't always work. There were no extra blankets or pillows, even if we were charged for four guests. There were four scrimpy towels, one of which was a bathmat. Some of the dishes were put away dirty, or were dirty from disuse, hard to tell. I emailed the reservations person about all of this before writing this review, but did not hear back from them.
Now. That said, if I were a 20-something traveling to Dublin with my friends - this was a great price, and I wouldn't care as much about those things.
- Liam (8/5): Very good -
- Martha (9/5): Superb - The apartment was spacious, comfortable and just as described. The location was a plus and nearby to public transportation. We enjoyed our stay and took a bus tour to the Cliffs of Moore that we definitely had so much fun. A lot of tours are available nearby the apt. We walked to restaurants, pubs, and the park nearby is a really nice place to enjoy the afternoon with your friends and relax. Homeless at the door of the building
- Linda (9/5): We lived the apartmentand will be booking it again! - it was very close to all the attractions in Dublin. we didn’t need to use any transport as we could just walk everywhere. There is a shop right below the apartment for quick meals. The shower could be upgraded a little bit :)
- Galway (2/5): not up to standard at all, grubby and dirty. do not book; there are much better options - the location was good the apartment needed to be well cleaned. there were stains on the mattresses and pillows . the company managing the booking demanded a €300 deposit, even though the booking.com website said the deposit was €200 (in small print) I would not recommend or use this apartment again
- Felix (9/5): Superb - The apartment is very spacious and well furnished. Beds are very comfortable. The large kitchen has everything you need.
The bathroom is reasonably modern and clean.
Without doubt the location is excellent. Within 10-15 min you are at Temple Bar, the Viking Museum is just around the corner and a supermarket can be found a few houses away. You have to retrieve your keys from a lockbox attached to a bicycle pole some 50m away. Unfortunatly this box lays on the street all year long. Therefore it was incredibly dirty and sticky. This mixture of road dirt and proably chain grease is veey hard to get off your hands. There are multiple boxes at the pole, so you have to try each one.
Why not screw the lockboxes to the wall at the entrance and write the apartment number on them?
The floor is ok but could be cleaner. It is a bit sticky.
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bala (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stefan (7/5): Old apartment saved by the location - It was really close to points of interest. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The easy self check in. Over all it was a nice experience as we were right in the center of Dublin. The apartment is old and needs improvements. The courtains in one bedroom barely where kept by the strings. The bathroom is old and not so clean. We bought a cleaning spray and cleaned it just to be sure. The light in one bedroom didn't work but we used the lamp from the night stand. The radiator's display from living room was broken.
- Sara (2/5): Extremely disappointing apartment - Location is walkable to city centre and Dublinia. At some point this apartment would have been okay but is in dire need of repair The address/ directions were very unclear, the taxi had to drop us on the road, and it was very difficult to get through to anyone to ask for help. With luggage and 2 children on a busy road, next to a shelter where people were hanging around drinking and smoking this was a terrible start and it did not get much better.
The apartment was filthy, I sent an email to our host regarding this, which was ignored. The chair covers were ripped, there was dust everywhere, and the toilet was broken.
Andy, the manager, was very condescending, completely unhelpful.
Do not stay here, the Jury's Inn across the road is a far better option.
- Navya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (7/5): adequate accommodation but only just - location was fine apartment is on the top floor of a three floor building (7 flights of stairs) - No lift (elevator). Apartment whilst all facilities are functional, was a bit tired. some side lights didn’t work and the main lights had many bulbs missing or failed.
- Penny (1/5): We didn’t manage to stay. Its a complete scam. - I got an email AFTER booking that I needed to pay a security deposit of €260 to obtain the address/details to get into the apartment. Scam. Scam. Scam. Scam. Please do not book here. We were left stranded in Dublin late at night.
- Jeremy (9/5): Nice gaff for a stay in a great Dublin location! - We weren't expecting the apartment to be as nice as it was. Past experiences with other places around the city are that the buildings are older, smaller and can be out dated, which is totally fine, but this apartment was quite large and had everything we needed. You don't have to leave the block to get most everything you need. You don't have to go very far for public transport, bars, restaurants and sites. The price was higher, but that comes with the territory, as Dublin properties are expensive. We were on the top floor, and the window up the stairs wasn't reachable to open for air, but we were able to keep the apartment itself cool enough.
