Guest Reviews
- Clare (10/5): Great stay in the centre of Dublin - Great location and a wonderful stay overall. The host was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout. The accommodation was spotless, charming, and exactly as described. Would happily stay again and highly recommend to others.
- Tracy (10/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect stay in Dublin - Lovely house, everything we needed for our stay.
Host was on hand if needed.
Perfect location, walking distance to many attractions Dublin has to offer. Nothing.
- Bernie (10/5): Prachtige accomodatie op een perfecte locatie - Prachtig gebouw, super locatie, vriendelijke house manager.
- Pamela (9/5): -
- Joanna (10/5): - The host was amazing. He was excellent with communication and was very helpful with check in.
The location was close to everything but very quiet and we felt safe.
- susan (10/5): Brilliant definitely recommend - Everything- it was gorgeous There was 6 ladies who stayed who all needed a morning shower ( last 2 in got cold showers 🤣) but day we left a new boiler was fitted so think problem solved
- Julien (9/5): - J’ai aimé l’aspect authentique de cette ancienne écurie du quartier Géorgien ! Rien
- David (9/5): Great property in a fantastic location - Excellent comms from the host
- Steven (9/5): It was a delightful, unique experience for our family. - The location was great. It was a quiet oasis. Quaint cottage. Super unique. There were six of us so we had to do camp showers, turning the water off and on, so there would be enough for everyone.
- Paula (10/5): I highly recommend this apartment. It is a wonderful location and is really charming. - The host was very kind and a good communicator.
- Carol (9/5): Excellent accommodation - Lovely quiet location, a short walk to shops, pubs and restaurants. Good sized rooms which were very comfortable. Well equipped. The stairs up to the apartment were narrow and difficult to negotiate with cases.
- Martina (10/5): Exceptional - A great opportunity to stay in a piece of Irish history in a well appointed, spacious and comfortable surroundings. Property is also heated with is great for those from the Southern hemisphere. Great stay.
- Alan (9/5): It was great. Arron was welcoming and ready to help. Perfect location, stylish place. - The location is perfect, within walking distance of all the sights, pubs, shops, etc. It's calm and a very nice area. A second shower, or shower head in the bath would have been handy (6 adults waiting on a shower can slow things down).
- Ita (10/5): The location was perfect.. Even though we did not meet our Host, he communicated with us on several - Location was brilliant. Nothing Not to like
- Deborah (8/5): We very much enjoyed staying in such a unique place and the manager was terrific. - The accommodation is unique and in a great location Wi-Fi signal needs improvement
Cleaners need to pay more attention
- Jane (10/5): Great location, very pretty property. - Fantastic central location and really well equipped property. A second shower rather than a bath would have suited us better but that was only a minor detractor.
- Sharon (8/5): Very good -
- Allison (10/5): This was exactly what we needed at this point in our trip. We could was, relax and take a breather from our previous fas - The location; the facilities
- Kevin (10/5): Absolutely brilliant gem in the middle of Dublin. - We were met at the property and everything was explained big thank you. The property manager was very helpful and is a credit to the company.

- Veronica (9/5): Superb -

- Kate (10/5): Exceptional - Historic property is charming and unique yet comfortable. Full apartment provided plenty of room and current amenities of full kitchen and modern shower.
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (10/5): Original, characterful mews flat in central yet peaceful location - Original, historic property (appreciated reading about its history in the file on the kitchen table), with tons of character and lovely period décor, good central location, very calm street, large comfortable beds with good quality cotton bedding. Property manager Aaron was friendly, efficient and easy to contact.
Would love to come back. In fact I'd love to LIVE here! 😄 The only negative points were:
Lack of toilet roll (less than half a roll left in one toilet when we arrived, and no spares provided).
The roll top bath was indeed beautiful but lack of shower attachment made it purely decorative (one person had a bath one day and it used up all the hot water). Consequently we all used the shower in the bedroom which had an ensuite. Not v.convenient to have 3 of us having to come in and out of someone else's bedroom.
No shower gel or shampoo provided, just hand soap.
- Rosaleen (9/5): Superb -
- Martha (9/5): Incredibly unique property perfectly located, loved our stay and will definitely be back! - Location was amazing!
Historic building was really special.
Clean and warm accommodations. No shampoo/shower gel etc.
- Alma (10/5): Very nice house near everything - Thanks for a fully equipped house!! Near every thing. Easy to walk every where!! Six people stay easy. With nice kingsize beds!! Every you need. And extra. Like percolate coffee. Thank you very much.
- Jennifer (10/5): Brilliant - The location, the decor, the communication, the size of the property, the overall comfort of the property were all excellent. I'd recommend it to anyone travelling to Dublin, but don't want to because I don't want everyone to know about it or else I won't be able to book again. Nothing
- Michael (10/5): Very comfortable accommodation in great location. - Great location, on quiet lane close to Merrion Street Gardens, short walk to pubs, restaurants, cafes etc. National Gallery and Natural History Museum close by.
- Lent (10/5): Unique awesome place! - The property manager was wonderful! Anytime I called him he answered right away. Made getting in super easy. The place was super clean. Even cuter than pics. It was bigger than it looks in pics as well. Even with 5 people showering, didn’t run out of hot water. Beds super comfy. Bedding was crisp and clean. Skylights all thru the flat.I really liked the place. If you are not familiar with Dublin, which I wasn’t, I was a bit nervous of area at first as it’s in an off the main road lane. There’s a parking garage across the road and other buildings with court yard gates like ours. Don’t be put off by that. It was a wonderful place. There’s also a nice pub 2 minute walk down the lane as well. I really liked it. Could use some new lounge furniture. A bit old. But we didn’t spend much time in it.
- Carolyn (9/5): This was a very comfortable stay at a fantastic and unique property! - We loved the property…very cute and super comfy beds…it was a large space with room to spread out and 2 baths was such a bonus! Arron was awesome…we ran about a half hour behind our planned check in time due to some confusion about the address, but he was so kind and accommodating and made us feel welcome. He also checked in on us via text during our stay to make sure everything was great and it was! Would definitely recommend and stay here again! Thank you! There were a couple things with the property… I stubbed my toe on a floor board in the back room to the left on the side of the bed near the window/radiator. It seems it was lifting up from the floor and needs to be nailed back down. The shower in the en-suite was not draining well at all and the basin kept filling up after a short time causing us to have to turn the water off for a little bit to drain and then turn back on to finish the shower to avoid overflow…
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional -
- Majella (9/5): Loved it! - Nice and close to town. Gorgeous and quaint accomodation. Very good beds. Would be good to have a shower in the main bathroom. Some Windows were hard to open or didn’t at all. No dryer.
- Marjorie (10/5): Merrion Mews felt like a warm Dublin welcome - old, charming, with great accents, and close to both parks and history. - Fantastic location- close to the heart of things but on a quiet lane. The apartment itself was roomy, and had a wonderful history spelled out n the guest book - but the things that you’d want modernized were. Everything we needed was there!
- Ann (9/5): Superb -
- Eric (9/5): Chance to relive 18th century Dublin in updated luxury. - Location. Historic value, ancient stables and garden. Cooking facilities with dishes and dish washer, washing machine. Bedrooms were not large but nice living room. Great for 3 couples or family. Initial problems with hot water. Eventually mostly resolved. Not much room to access luggage in bedrooms.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Adorable and well appointed
- Aundrea (10/5): Exceptional - What a gem in the heart of everything! Baggot Street is just around the corner. We walked to all the sites. The beds were huge and comfy. I can't say enough about what a special piece of history this place is. We truly loved it & Arron was quick to respond, check on us and offer recommendations. Cheers!
- Rebecca (10/5): Dublin’s most charming stay! - Fantastic location! A charming & well-appointed flat with a fantastic soaking tub & wonderful little city views from every window. A true gem!
House manager Aaron Faye was available by phone whenever needed.
- Vecere (10/5): It was a great location and lovely unique apartment. Would stay there again!! - We loved that the property was so unique from other properties we stayed at on our trip. Reading about the history behind the house and it’s location was very cool! We our family size we would have liked an extra shower but we managed fine.
- Mcallister (8/5): Very good - Pretty much everything. Cabbie had a little difficulty finding the place.
Lack of condiments in the otherwise great kitchen.
- Kevin (10/5): glGreat place to stay near central Dublin. - it is in a great location. three bedrooms was perfect for us. Well,it could not be helped but I’m taller and in some of the doorways I needed to duck down.
- Eleanor (9/5): Wonderful, great location, gorgeous house - Beautiful properly
- Gary (8/5): Very good - Would have been good to have some shower gel etc in the bathroom and some larger glasses
- Karen (10/5): Thanks for a wonderful stay in such a special place!! - We loved our stay at Merrion Mews. The house manager, Arron, was very welcoming and responsive to any question we had. Location was great (nice local pub, McGrattan’s, was just a few steps away… and bus stops were nearby- but we could actually walk everywhere quite easily). The space was perfect for our family. We also really loved the history of the place! Thanks for a wonderful stay in such a special place!! Can’t think of a thing!
- Adrian (8/5): Very good - It was allgood
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- Kathryn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charcool (9/5): Wonderful stay in a piece of Dublin history - Huge apartment above the mounted police stables, lovingly managed by the Irish National Trust. It's in a nice quiet area, close to Stephens Green with plenty of supermarkets and other essentials nearby. A great pub just up the ally. There's also access to a nice garden in the back of the property and the 3 bedrooms are large by European standards. There's 2 bathroom and a large, fully functioning kitchen and a proper lounge room for relaxing. The Property Manager was wonderful and couldn't have been more helpful. The only minor complaint I could make is that there is only 1 shower in a property which could easily hold 8 plus people. I realise it is the conflict between conservation and modernisation in a National Trust property and if you stay in a place like this, you have to balance character with convenience. Personally I could abide but others may like to know in advance.
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Patricia (10/5): Wonderful stay. We will book again. - excellent location, terrific three bedroom property Advise guests to bring shower gel and shampoo
- Aoife (10/5): Exceptional - Great property and a great location. House was very clean, spacious and lovely comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Aaron.
- Christopher (8/5): Very good - The character of the property is incredible and the location was great for being in the centre of everything. The beds were fine for a couple of days but not very comfortable, and neither were the sofas. For a short stay, it was great but any longer and I would want more comfortable accommodation.
