Guest Reviews
- Hui Li Hannah (8/5): It's a great location and I don't mind staying back in the same apartment next year :) - The location was great. It is in zone 1, one train stop away from Victoria and the best value for money is that the flat is on ground floor. As a solo traveller + a lady, night walks doesn't seems to be scary or in danger because bus stop is just 1 min away and those 3 buses will bring me to many places around London. Good cooking wares that I can cook some simple meals for some nights. The down side will be the washing machine. Some furs were found after taking out my first load of clothes. Managed to solve the problem by rinse and spin the washing machine.
WIFI was down after staying for a few nights. In the end, no WIFI in the house and I was using my data for the rest of the stay. Reported to the owner and kudos to great hosts - they helped and want to pay me back the money used for data usage.
- Amara (8/5): -
- Hani (9/5): A very good place for a budget stay at a good location in central london. - The appartement had everything we needed. The location is very good and friendly. Close to many things, where everything is a walking distance.
The kitchen is fully equipped with very good appliances.
All the mentioned dislikes can be easily resolved, and as a matter of fact, they weren't much of a trouble. The place had many old / unused stuff that cramp up the place. For example, it has a standing heater / blower that makes lots of noise when operated. We didn't need to operate that specific heater, since the place has already three more heaters. Removing this noisy one, would allow for more empty space that can be utilized. The Wardrobe is almost full with old stuff that it became challenging to find space for unpacking our clothes.
The description on the site says it is a bedroom with a living room. There is no living room, only a bed with a TV hung on the facing wall with a bunket under it.
- Matteo (8/5): - Casa accogliente molto vicina al centro, comoda per la metro
- Egil (2/5): Excellent location, but filthy to the bone! - Excellent location, close to many of Londons attractions Cleanliness left a lot to desire. I have never before seen such a filthy place for rent in a first world country. This is just a cash cow. The place was filthy from celling to floor and needed a lot more than just a simpel cleaning. We are talking a ceiling full of of spiderwebs, ingrown dirt on all surfaces, like shelfs, countertops, walls etc. What was in the carpets I really do not want to know. All the dust in the air made wake up at night. with breathing problems. I have a mild astma condition, but never experienced problems like this.
This was a pig pen, nothing less. To actually let this for money, is as close to a crime as you can come. And a place like this, should not be promoted by Booking or any other serious platform. We had booked for 3 night, but left after the first night in favor of a hotel. In ful disclosure, We did not contact the host before moving out. Partly because we hade a tight schedule and partly because the problem would not be solved by a simpel cleaning of the flat. It needs to be shut down for several days for a deep cleaning. We informed the host after we moved out and also informed Bokking.com about the state of the place. The hoste apologized for our experience, but his main concern was that we did not write a negative review... No refund was offered, non was requested. My advise: Stay away! Far, far away.

- Martin (4/5): Excellent location, lots of potential but fails to deliver. Don't be fooled by the photos. - The location was excellent, just what we wanted. Did come well equipped with a nice complimentary little bottle of wine. The key box access and access information was very simple and easy. The apartment didn't live up to how it appears in the photo's. The decor is very tired and dated and needs modernisation. the joints in the wall paper are mm's apart and not together, some of the wallpaper loose and coming off at the bottom. There are black dirt marks all in and around the coving. One of the bedside lamps didn't work. There are electrical extension leads everywhere. The high level exposed storage space to the RHS of the bed with ladders etc. is a bit unsightly. The brown carpet looks dirty and old even though it probably had been cleaned. In the bathroom the tiling under the shower tray looks terrible. The entrance to the apartment also looks tired and dated and sets the tone for what lies beyond.
- m (8/5): Heel fijn voldeed aan onze verwachtingen - Alles was aanwezig , een theedoek zou fijn zijn.
Lokatie was erg goed àlles makkelijk bereikbaar.
Het was ook niet gehorig.
Winkels dichtbij. Er was geen theedoek.
Bij hele erge koude zou extra verwarming nodig zijn.
Raam boven aanrecht kwam veel kou uit.
- Andrew (9/5): Great location value for many - Good location ,easy access into property ,clean ,good Wi-Fi well laid out , great value for money The owners left handy gifts and wine milk and water great location
- Fettah (10/5): Perfect Stay in the Heart of London - Our stay in this room was truly wonderful. The location is very central, with easy access to all the main attractions and amenities in London. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed during our trip. The hosts were extremely helpful and responsive, which made our stay even better. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend it. We will happily give a 10/10.
- Helen (5/5): Great base, just not pleasant stay. - Location Tired furniture. Couldn’t open wardrobe, broken table, cracked mirror, dust, fusty smell in room. Couldn’t open curtain cause on main road and no privacy. In total, lack of up keep. On arrival, no snacks or drinks available as promised.
- Kulkarni (8/5): - The location is great. You can walk to some major attractions. It’s a cosy flat with all amenities and suitable for a couple The size is small but adequate for a couple
- Stephenson (10/5): In a word. Excellent place to stay. Most importantly, the host responses very promptly so that we din’t face any struggl - Clean and very close (walking distance) to tourists spots. Nothing to point out
- valeria (8/5): Fantastico soggiorno e ringrazio gli host - C’era tutto nell’ appartamento Forse ci sono un po’ di lavori di manutenzione da fare e il letto è un pochino scomodo.
- Denis (10/5): -
- Scott (7/5): Central London convenience - This groundfloor unit is in a very central London location with easy access to the tube, buses, or just walks along the Thames. The unit was a little smaller than expected but we managed just fine. There are gorcery stores and restaurants nearby. London was quite balmy in June but we managed to catch a breeze at night by opening front and back windows.
- Lynda (8/5): Convenient location and helpful management - Convenient location, easy walk to pay Pimlico station
Ground floor apartment There were a few issues which we discussed with the manager and these were resolved.
- Piyabutr (10/5): Exceptional -
- Márton (8/5): Great value, very central apartment - This apartment is at the perfect location to explore London. From the very near bus stop or underground stop you can reach everything.
It’s very clean, and perfect for two people if you’re like us, and only sleep and eat breakfast and dinner there. Thera are grocery shops nearby (Tesco 5 min, Sainsbury’s 12 min walk).
All in all we had a wonderful stay there, it was definitely good value for money, it exceeded our expectations, and was a great headquarters for our London adventures. The only two things we had some issues with were the fact that there was no oven (or a small air fryer), and we could hardly find food that can be eaten microwaved (most British food seem to be for oven).
And that the slats on one side of the bed were fallen out, although when we asked we got immediate response with instructions on how to repair it, and from then it was all good. Still we think it could have been checked and repaired beforehand.
- Peter (5/5): Passable -
- Andrew (10/5): Very comfortable and clean room with excellent kitchen facilities, and great location. - Very comfortable and clean room with excellent kitchen facilities, and great location.
- Taylor (7/5): The host was very accommodating and the room was perfect for m - The host was very responsive and helpful with everything I needed. The room is a little outdated, but of course for the price it was worth it. Just a couple adjustments would have made the place look a lot better but it was a cute place overall!
- Marya (10/5): Relaxing , comfortable - Very quaint and good location. Nothing really
- Michelle (3/5): Very poor and falsely represented. Pictures are misleading. - The only good thing about this property was the location. We didn’t like many many things about this property:
-The flat is very shabby with torn wallpaper, worn/dirty paint, poorly installed carpeting with missing pieces and cracked tiles in the bathroom floor.
-The plumbing in the shower and sink was bad/clogged and the sink is cracked. The bathroom overall is awful because the floor tiles are cracked and there are holes/cracks in the walls and ceiling.
-What they consider a closet was an old crappy cupboard that had a lot of junk in it and we couldn’t even get the door opened because of the carpeting.
-the mattress was awful because it was very soft and sagged badly causing back pain
-I don’t understand how they can say that there is a separate living room and bedroom as per the property description. This is not true. There was an ottoman beside the Tv near the foot of the bed which cannot be called a living room. It is only one room.
-the “heating” consisted of 3 space heaters.
-there was a very long hair in the sink when we arrived.
-Also, there were 2 sets of keys in the lockbox but were told that we could only take one and had to leave the other there at all times. Not sure why. Seems an odd policy that I have not experienced elsewhere. Who would need a key to come into the suite while we were there?
The apt is just very very poor and not worth what we paid. It felt dirty and we found ourselves staying out as long as possible during the day to avoid spending any time there. We felt very uncomfortable and were reluctant to use/touch anything in the kitchen. We have stayed at many places in many countries and we have never seen a property so falsely represented.
- Graham (7/5): A reasonable base to get around London. - A great location to get around London. A quiet area but with plenty of local amenities.
The room was well equipped and suited our needs for a midweek break. We didn't spend much time there other than for a base to get out and about. The room is a bit tired and in need of sprucing up. Photos make it look good but it's not finished to a decent standard.
- Marilyn (10/5): Very comfortable stay in Pumlico, central to Victoria. - We enjoyed our stay at your comfy, cozy Pimlico suite. The room was prepared for us beautifully and there was a great assortment of comfort items in the kitchenette. We felt like locals returning to our flat each nite. Everything was fine.
- Paulo (10/5): My stay was amazing. Excellent neighborhood. - The property is very well-located and functional . Its location. 5 min walk from the metro station.
- Bernard (9/5): Superb - great location, easy to find but hard to leave.... cosy and clean. well equiped, thanks for the goodies... corridors' light on night ans day...
- Frances (10/5): Exceptional - Great experience, host had excellent communication, the apartment was small cosy and perfectly located. My daughter enjoyed having her own pull out bed. Definitely recommend for a parent and child weekend trip.
- Paula (4/5): Bad smelling room and uncomfortable bed. Not what you see in the photos. - It was central location The bed very worn and uncomfortable. It sags. The place was noisy. The wardrobe was broken and was to be fixed when we arrived and we said no, to do it in their time not when we arrived. Room smelt damp and musty. Bed linen was worn and bad smelling. Not all kitchen utensils available- no egg flip
- Ann-grit (8/5): Hello again - Nothing to complain.
- Gordon (8/5): Good area & base to stay for short City break - Good location next to underground, bus services & local convenience stores Apartment not prepared prior to arrival but this was addressed immediately.
- Fred (2/5): Disappointing - Front window curtain has mould, carpet smells, rubbish bin under kitchen sink was left full, coffee cups are all stained, dust build up on bedhead, kitchen cupboards are messy, furniture is falling apart.
- Warren (8/5): Great place for visiting London - The location was excellent to get to where you wanted to go. In a nice part of London with easy access to the Tube and bus. 20 minute walk and you are at Big Ben. The room had what you needed. The room was dated. It's probably time to update furniture. The bed should be a queen size. No bottle of wine as advertised. The cleaning fee is way too much for the room. Ants crawling around.
- Dobrynin (9/5): Superb -
- Davis (6/5): Pleasant - The location is easily the best think, about a 1 minute walk from a tube station so can't complain. The overall facilities and the layout of the apartment are actually really nice. The kitchen is full of ants. We noticed a couple on the first night, and they pretty much increased over the 4 days we stayed. It could really do with a more up to date TV. There was not really any indication of what to do with the stuff that needed to go in the bin. The small bins aren't really suitable as we ordered food in and weren't really able to use them.
- Yeseul (10/5): The place waa perfect for solo traveller!! Recommeneded! - Well located, very safe area. The host welcomes you very well with well prepares stuff including breakfast! :) It was hard to open the window as it is located in ground floor.
- Lisa (8/5): Pleasant and comfortable stay near Pimlico - Communication about check-in process was clear and very easy. The location of the flat is very convenient to both the Pimlico Tube station and small grocery store. We enjoyed the thoughtfully-designed kitchen. Very compact but functional. Also, the shower was extremely nice and heated towel rack is a nice touch! We could have used a spatula as we cooked eggs each morning and only had a ladle available. Also, another dishtowel would be helpful to set on the countertop for freshly-washed dishes before drying. Pillows with more filling would be super, the linens and bed were just fine. We found the motion-sensor light in the bathroom a bit difficult. While taking a shower, it would shut off but when going to the restroom in the middle of the night, it would turn on, fully waking us with the bright light. There are many positives to the rental and we did enjoy our stay.
- William (9/5): Great stay, owners were quick to respond. Would highly recommend this property - Excellent location, nice room Needed some more kitchen supplies
- Ruhel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kamholtz (7/5): Good -
- Lina (9/5): Great - The location was great. It is very near to Victoria and has a lot of closest bars and restaurants
- Carpediembukin (9/5): Superb - The apartment is tiny but cozy. We had everything that we required. It was winter, and the host provided heaters, so we didn't freeze. The location is perfect, you can get to any tourist points easily. Instruction was given clearly and we didn't meet any unexpected issues while checking in/out.
- Sunandan (9/5): Superb -
- Tj (7/5): Very good. - Very good location and clear instructions to check in. Comfortable stay. Tube station nearby. Nice central location. But a very good place to stay. Get the walls cleaned up and dusted. Just to make it a bit more up to date.
- Colli (9/5): Superb - Small appartament perfectly in order clean Expensive
- Gabriele (9/5): a fantastic journey. See you soon - central position, near best attraction of london. the house is very small but very functional and comfortable. the photocell in the bathroom is not functional and a brum is missing
- Paterson (8/5): Perfect location to see the sights of London. - Excellent location - very handy to Pimlico underground. A small apartment - but big for London standards. Snacks etc on arrival were very much appreciated. Excellent communication from Amir & Sarah. Everything was great. A few comments for constructive criticism - only one dinner plate; for a 7 night stay could have had extra towels and needed more body wash.
- Veronica (8/5): Very good - The location was fantastic, so close to everything that you would like to visit. Very safe accommodation would suit anyone who wants to tour around London.
- Irina (10/5): Lovely place, offers everything you need for short and longterm stays. Excellent location! -
- Ian (8/5): Two night short break in the big city, the accommodation was ideal for this - Good location, flexible as you could eat in if you wanted to. Sensor light in the bathroom, property is described as a flat when it’s more of a bed sit.
- Carol (8/5): I would like to return to it and do a bit more walking around the area. - Safe location, convenient for Victoria station, buses and tube, Tate Britain and the river. It's good to have a fridge, etc. The host helped with my queries (I'm an older person!). Comfortable for me but probably a bit small for two people.
- Ian (7/5): Good -
- Vickilee (10/5): Loved our stay and would stay again 😊 - Loved the location. Stayed for 18 nights and very happy with our choice. Safe and quiet area but perfect location. 2 mins walk from Pimlico tube and Bus stop across the road. Host was really helpful and responsive to any questions. Apartment was clean and had everything you could need. would definitely stay again. Nothing negative to say but would be nice to have an oven when staying for an extended time. Managed fine with microwave and stove top.
- James (10/5): Fantastic in every way - super cute little place, lovely street and very pretty building. It’s a whole unit so there’s a washing machine, fan, heater, iron and all the handy stuff you don’t get in hotels. Lovely and bright, big window, plenty of ventilation. I’ll be trying to book this one whenever I’m in town from now on!
- Ashley (7/5): Good - great location, quiet, clean and plenty to do within 10 minute walk.
- Ralf (5/5): London is interesting. I recommend to look for a better place to stay for that budget. - The flat is easy to get to due to Pimlico station being very close. Within short distance there a few nice restaurants and also Santander Bike rental ist close. The flat was clean. The "bed" is a mess. The mattress was so worn out, you could not sleep very well. Actually they just stacked 2 older mattress on an older frame. Unfortuntely the windows are so badly insulated that you could hear every pedestrian walking by even if the windows war closed .. not to mention cars on the rather busy road facing the window at 1 the same level. The promoted "food and drink" supply is rather a joke than a bonus,
- Desmond (7/5): would use again and would recommend to others - nice area close to office television not working and lighting timer in bathroom was too short. It is too harsh to say I didn’t like these two things, it was just inconvenient
- John (5/5): Convenient but not comfortable - Good location. Nice to have coffee, milk & a little bottle of wine left for us The mattress was so saggy we just could not get a good night sleep. The cooking utensils in the kitchen were very worn and scratched. Only one chair. There were two stools but no counter space to be able to use them. Not a very comfortable unit. There were two space heaters. One worked well enough, the other provided little heat.
- Heather (6/5): Great location but lacking love & attention - Excellent location, near the tube and in a nice neighbourhood. It was clean. The windows have the original shutters and the morning sun through the windows is nice. Not an apartment, but a bedroom with TV and kitchenette. Only place to sit is the bed or two bar stools in front of a microwave, so nowhere to eat or sit and relax. Fridge buzzes constantly.
Bed lumpy and uncomfortable with two unstable toppers. Room is shabby and dated, not a pleasant environment.
No central heating but 5 separate heaters - none were on when I arrived.
Kitchen has gas hob (did not see CO2 alarm) but old dented pans, no spatula or wooden spoon and nothing to wash up with.
Bathroom light on a sensor - very bright white light if you use the bathroom at night - rather overwhelming.
- Pui (7/5): great location but the place needs some sprucing up - - location (and the bakery round the corner is amazing)
- kitchenette small but functional
- shower works well
- ok for a couple of nights - mattress has lost its form and needs replacement desperately
- the pull out bed doesn’t feel very safe to sleep on
- broken mirror is covered up with some wallpaper-like sticker which feels like a cheap fix
- clearly the place is not carefully maintained
- Phil (7/5): Good -
- Todd (10/5): Exceptional - In a quiet neighborhood, but close to grocery stores and restaurants. Underground is a quick walk to Pimlico and a 12 minute walk to the Victoria Station. Easy access to everything you want to see in London and beyond. The apartment is comfortable and has a nice kitchen with all you will need to make your own meals. Going out to eat for every meal is expensive. Overall, we have no complaints and would stay here again if we return to London. Thank you.
- Ji (8/5): Very good -
- Elaine (4/5): Good location but disappointing otherwise - The location was good and the double bed was comfortable. The shower was down right dangerous - no way to control the temperature - it was scalding hot. The furnishings are hap hazard and not what you would expect from a rental - too much stuff to fit 3 peoples belongings in even for a short stay. Single bed had to be made up even though we had booked for 3 people. Hot and cold tap in the kitchen are the wrong way round so cold was scalding hot.
- Calum (8/5): Great place for a short stay in an excellent location. - Great location right next to transport links for getting around London.
Comfy bed. A little dated.
- Joshua (9/5): Ideal for work travel - Really easy to check in & out, any queries I had I got a quick response from host. Room is in ideal location for work travel.
- Agustín (7/5): all good! - location. super clean. comfortable. the third bed is not very comfortable, actually really bad, can improve but it’s ok for short term.
- Chui (4/5): things were falling apart and it was small for 3 people - location place was not very comfortable to live in, things were falling apart.
- wardrobe door was falling out (mirror on the glass cracked!)
- toilet lights were motion sensored and the lights would just turn off while showering
- dressing table was not screwed properly, can’t use the drawer
- shower head holder doesn’t fit so it can’t be propped up
- sofa bed mattress was so thin
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional - location nothing
- Jill (10/5): Altogether wonderful! - The location was excellent and the conveniences surpassed our expectations.
Some sort of spatula would have been nice. The bathroom had a motion sensor that would turn on a bright light when trying to sleep if someone moved.
- Rachel (6/5): Pleasant -
- Francesca (9/5): Superb - The property was in a great location and easily accessible for train and tubes. It was a ground floor apartment so ment it was suitable when having luggage and with kids. The hosts were reachable at all times if needed and gave clear instructions to access the property without being present. We would definitely stay again if in town.
