Guest Reviews
- Donna (8/5): Sherlock's short stay - Great location, value for money and property management and response to enquiries 2nd to none. Very happy with our stay. Highly recommended. No faults
- Grzegorz (8/5): - Świetna lokalizacja. Blisko metro, sklepy i wszystko inne. Apartament przestronny i dobrze wyposażony. Spokojnie może pomieścić dwie rodziny ( 10 osób )
- Jurgita (10/5): - The location was perfect. We could reach everything on foot – with restaurants, cafés, and old London just around the corner. The apartment was cozy and comfortable; even though we stayed during winter, it was warm and not damp at all. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The only inconvenience was that only one shower had a shower curtain. This was quite inconvenient, as we were a large group: using just one shower was impractical, and in the other two bathrooms, the lack of a shower curtain made it difficult to use the showers without flooding the entire bathroom area.
- kate (6/5): - Good location for all main attractions TV's had 'no signals'.
There was a hob and oven but no pots or pans.
No tourist information leaflets or pack in the apartment.
Some of the furniture unsafe to sit on as broken.
- Marina (6/5): - Ubicación Escaleras y baño
El tema de la calefacción y los baños necesitan una mejora
- João (8/5): Great location and great for large groups. Bathrooms could be improved. - Great location and communication with host. Warm and comfortable apartment. It's great for large groups as there are 4 bedrooms, a sofa bed in the living room, and the common spaces are quite large which allowed us to get together. The bathrooms aren't comfortable. We didn't have warm water in one of the bathrooms, no towels to dry your feet and the main bathroom doesn't have a separation for the shower, which makes everything wet and ends up being unhygienic.
- Lucas (10/5): - Great location, clean, spacious.
- Kevin (8/5): Excellent accomodation for a short stay to discover London due to its great location. - Communication about check-in was very clear and the hosts were easily reachable via messages on the Booking platform. The location was excellent, being walking distance from the centre of London and being well-connected with the metro system. Rooms ended up being a bit smaller than the pictures suggested and the beds in two of the rooms were very small (too small for somebody tall (190 cm).
- Julien (7/5): - Très grand, bien placé, dans une rue calme à l’abris du bruit. Une douche fonctionnait mal, la propreté est à revoir, obligé de cacher les vitres avec le tapis pour ne plus avoir la lumière du jour.
- Anne (8/5): Great sized well equipped apartment in central location. - Super location, spacious basement apartment. Perfect for a group of friends. Only complaint is that the extractor fan in bathroom is not working (ensuite fans ok) which means there is mould forming in it and the towel radiator is becoming quite rusty.
- Luca (9/5): Recommended - Great location, just one block away from a busy spot of London
- Hugo (6/5): -

- Dong Mei (6/5): Right by the British Museum for ideally up to 4 people - Great location for museum goers. The staff Hannah was very responsive and accommodating. Too small and basic for our group of 7 adults plus two kids. Tiny bathrooms without shower curtains (It would have better for up to 4 people). Bedrooms and kitchen are in the basement with little ventilation and no air con. The living room is on the street level but rather small (so we just used it for our luggages).
- Melissa (7/5): Good - Very nice hosts and super convenient location Small showers, no AC and not enough fans for each room
- Monica (9/5): We highly recommend this apartment. - The location is fantastic. Very central to everything we wanted to to do in London. The living room and kitchen are very cosy with all essential utilities, and enough space for a family of 8 people. We loved our stay in the Sherlocks apartment. Some bedrooms had not so good ventilation, but we fixed that by keeping the doors open. Some parts of bathrooms were a bit weary.
- Angelique (10/5): Fantastic place to stay with big group in London! - Staff were friendly and helpful, the place were awesome and clean, location ia perfect for London city. nothing
- Romina (7/5): Good value for money for a short stay in a great location - The flat is spacious for 2 families and in a great location to discover London. The host replied immediately and getting the keys was extremely convenient. It is a basement flat so there's little natural light but artificial light is pleasant, although you wouldn't stay all day in! The photos taken wide a wide angle make you think the flat is more spacious than it really is so the main 2 drawbacks were: - the 3 showers that were difficult to use cause 2 are directly by the WC and have no curtain or separation, the space is so small that you wet the whole toilet. In the end there was only one full bathroom that could be used for showering.
- mattresses: really really need to be changed, they are too used and sink and the whole bed makes noise when you turn.
- Charbonnier (8/5): Lovely apartment and great location - Loved the location and the fact that everything needed was on site. The apartment was really hard to heat properly. It was overheated downstairs even when turning the heating down and we could not get the heating to work upstairs. Most of the bathrooms are wet rooms which means the whole bathroom floor is wet after having a shower. The apartment could also do with some renovation. But I would still recommend it to friends and family.
- Lisa (6/5): Quirky (which is fun) but very tight accomodation. - There was no breakfast but we did like the location and that the property was very clean. The photos presented a view of the bedrooms and bathrooms as being more spacious. It was very tight with only one person being able to walk around the bed at a time. The open bathroom concept presented a challenge when showering as everything became wet.
- Jonathan (9/5): Excellent value for money for its location and size. Perfect for our group. - Very well located. Was within 30mins of everything in London. Host was very generous and allowed us to check out late. The toilet at the end does not have a shower curtain or smt to stop water from splashing.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was clean and warm and welcoming, location amazing.
- Jacqueline (6/5): Good location. Spacious. Small niggles to be aware about. - Location is great. Two of the rooms were quite spacious. The fairly large kitchen and dining room table was great to hang around. Only one bedroom has a closet. Bedroom 1: closet, no ensuite. Bedroom 2 &3: en-suite, no closet. Bedroom 4: no closet and no en-suite.
WiFi wasn’t strong throughout the apartment. Coffee machine (Nespresso) was broken. A lot of small bugs around (probably because the apartment is lower than street level.
- Brandon (10/5): Perfect! - Perfect location, very comfy accommodations, and such quaint decor. We loved our visit. It was exactly as we hoped.
- Gudrun (9/5): Superb -
- Shengchao (9/5): The flat is very close to the British Museum. Also, the rooms are relatively clean - The flat is very close to the British Museum and there are also supermarkets and restaurants conveniently located nearby. The landlord was also very welcoming and prompt in responding to messages.
- Theodori (6/5): Location and host were great. Our stay overall though was uncomfortable! - The location was great and the space is specious One of the toilets didn’t have cold water, another toilet the water was dripping water from everywhere while taking a shower. The dining table was sticky although we cleaned it many times.
- Peter (8/5): Spacious and well equipped in good location. - Great communication pre arrival and during stay. Lock box made it easy to get in and store keys for others if needed. Spacious unit. Plenty of room for 6. Good location near shops and tube. Had a great time. Shower flooded bathroom evertime.
- Melvin (8/5): Very good -
- Paula (9/5): Great location and apartment. I would recommend - Went to cafe round the corner. Salt and Pepper.
