Guest Reviews
- Susan (10/5): Great location, very welcoming and helpful host, comfortable stay, car parking is a huge bonus - Seamless check in, clear instructions from the host who was available throughout our stay, although there were no issues and no need to call on the host
- Sarah (10/5): - Location was ideal for where I needed to be, a direct route to Peckham Levels 8 minutes away
Also having the opportunity to park my car at no extra cost was a very welcome bonus. The flat is lovely and clean, homely with interesting personal items in cabinets which made it feel like a home from home.
Great communication with the host who gave us perfect instructions for access.
The value was excellent and much cheaper than hotels even with just eat orders for our tea. Coming from up North we were expecting this to be an expensive overnight trip, but all in, was actually cheaper than some places local to us.
Property was easy to locate, and the road name amused my husband no end as a fan of Nicholas Lyndhurst in Only Fools and Horses "Rodney".
I've nicknamed the property Rodney House now. I would genuinely use the property as a "home base" if I ever had the opportunity to come back to go sightseeing in Central London N/A
- Zaheer (9/5): - Nice and close to where I needed to go. Convenience for parking and not too far from London City centre. Comfortable sofa bed and double bed aswell as smart TV..
Nice board for sightseeing etc. Just needs a few cosmetic touch ups
- Kirk (8/5): - Clean, tidy, comfortable, home from home, with secure off road parking. Everything we needed.
Really accommodating owner who went out of his way to help us. Nothing.
- Emma (1/5): Absolute uninhabitable place - Not a lot Everything from the no ceiling in the kitchen to the broken toilet seat and the dust and dirt
- Michael (8/5): -
- Sarah (2/5): Poor customer service - It was convenient for where we needed to be We arrived early as arranged to park the car, but there were no keys in the lockbox, so we had to find alternative parking. When we returned later to check in, the keys in the lockbox did not open the gate, meaning we couldn’t access the flat. Attempts to contact the owner went unanswered.
Eventually, we had to ask a neighbour for help, who kindly used his own keys to let us through the gate so we could reach the flat entrance.
Upon entering, we were met with an overwhelming smell of garlic and chilli coming from the fridge in the kitchen, which made the space quite unpleasant.
We had to leave early the next morning due to work commitments. Only then did the owner return our calls. When we explained the situation, he initially claimed he had left the gate open for us, but then contradicted himself by saying the locks had been changed by the company. This inconsistency raised further concerns.
When asked what would resolve the issue, we suggested a goodwill discount. This was refused, and the owner abruptly ended the call, which we found very unprofessional.
Overall, a frustrating experience. We would not return.
- Bray (4/5): - The location was good. The host was communicative. It was a good size. The locks on huge iron gates did not work properly leaving me struggling to get in and out and locked in completely at one point . This is definitely not a stunning apartment. It’s very tired and scruffy and not properly cleaned. The garden as advertised is actually at the end of a car park - the back yard/ garden attached to the property is terrible
- Na yeon (1/5): Serious pro le - This property has serious issues. Most of what is written in the listing description is simply not true.
1. The host provided keys to access the property, but the key for the main entrance did not work. As a result, I was left standing alone outside the property for nearly one hour during check-in, waiting for the host to respond.
2. I later found out that the key issue was not new. A resident from another room told me that the main entrance had already been having problems for several days, and they had to open the entrance for me using their own key.
3. To exit the property, the main entrance also requires a key. This key did not work either. I was effectively trapped behind the gate for about an hour, like a prisoner behind bars, shouting and asking passers-by to ring the bell of another resident upstairs so that someone could open the gate for me.
4. The condition of the interior was extremely poor. The property had clearly not been cleaned at all. There was visible dust and leaves scattered across the floor.
5. As soon as I opened the bathroom door, I saw two large used towels left inside the bathroom.
6. The bed in the bedroom was unhygienic to the point that it was unusable. There were visible hairs and skin flakes on the bed, and the pillow smelled strongly of another person’s body odour. I had no choice but to cover it with my own clothes in order to sleep.
7. Throughout the entire property, personal belongings of the host or previous occupants were left everywhere. The space was cluttered and poorly organised, making it very uncomfortable and difficult to use as accommodation.
- Catherine (10/5): Overall the property was perfect for what we needed - The property was lovely and spacious The kitchen was tired and in need of some maintenance
- Sinéad (10/5): Fabulous apartment - Everything! Warm, cosy, comfortable, spotlessly clean, safe and secure location, great to have a safe parking space, very welcoming and helpful host. There was nothing I did not like at all!
- Margaret (5/5): - Location size parking Cleanliness
- Barry (8/5): -
- Christopher (9/5): - The property is centrally located and easy to access. I didn’t have a car, but there is parking. The host was very responsive and gracious. The flat had everything I needed for a multi-week stay.
- Leanne (10/5): -
- Ally (9/5): Great for what we needed and would book again - Location is good for staying in south London with lots of parks, shops, bars, etc nearby. Overall the flat is very roomy and feels pretty safe as the entrance is inside the locked garage. The bed is big and comfy with many useful plugs/USB ports throughout the room. The kitchen is well stocked with condiments and basic cooking tools. The heating was quick and worked very well. Secure parking is a big bonus too. Host was friendly in messages. Only a few minor things - the wifi was super patchy and dropped a lot. The listing claims there is a spa, fitness and wellness centre included which there is not. Also the lockbox shown in the photos is actually not the correct one, so this caused a small delay with check-in. The condition of the flat is nothing fancy but overall it was clean and reasonably priced.
- Cheryl (5/5): ok - but not for us. - The property was in a good location near the Peckham Rye.
It has secure parking which the owner let us access earlier than check in.
Key collection was easy. The flat was not for us. We felt like we had walked into an occupied flat.
Even a coat thrown on the bed.
The fridge was full of food stuff. the cupboards had personal things in them.
There was a drill and stuff to build in the bedroom and outside in the court yard.
The place could do with a general update, lots of marks on the walls, tatty chair and on the side in kitchen etc.
We just found it odd.
It seemed generally clean though.
- Amanda (5/5): - Great location, very quiet. 5 minutes walk to station. Free secure parking huge bonus.
Friendly, communicative host. It was perfectly fine for an overnight stay.
- Pavla (10/5): Great, spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished accommodation - Great, spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished accommodation within a good distance from London's sights. Close to shops and restaurants. The car entrance gate was very difficult to unlock and lock.
- Maria (10/5): - Very comfortable, a home away from home
- Lisa (5/5): Advertised property does not match the description. Cannot recommend. - Off-street parking but car ended up with sticky tree buds all over when we left & there is somebody living in a caravan in the same yard. The gate was often left unlocked and open. Not really secure as advertised.
Owner communicates by text but is not very professional.
There were fresh bin bags in the bin.
The keys worked.
The water was warm for the shower but no hot water for the bathroom sink. 5/10 because the description and the pictures do not match half of the facilities that were advertised. Could not use the back outdoor terrace garden as was full of personal items and the BBQ needs a deep clean, as does the rest of the house.
Could not use the sofa bed as very hard, no clean sheets and was filthy.
Could not use any wardrobes or cupboards, including kitchen cupboards as full of owners possessions. Nowhere to put suitcases.
Kitchen sides sticky and no clean dish cloth.
Vacuum and washing machine were full of the owners dirty laundry.
Peter needs to take the feedback & past negative reviews, get some support to do something to improve things. This is his own apartment but at the same time a business and his time would be better spent cleaning and maintaining it to a better standard rather than texting and buttering up the clients.
Despite myself being offered a discount and a 10/10 review as a guest, let’s be professional and honest. I would not stay here again with the apartment in this state.
Peter please take care, do yourself and your home a favour. Your home does have potential to be ´stunning’ but in its current neglected state I’m sure it doesn’t even meet minimum standards.
I didn’t have time to complain directly to him or to booking customer services at the time because we were on holiday and had travelled a long way.
I would push for a refund but I don’t think I’d get very far because we stayed and endured it for the sake of keeping the peace. Peter is a good communicator so I’m sure that he will have something to say about my review; I felt I was appeasing a lot of texts from first contact with him.
- Samantha (10/5): Great location, very secure and wonderful host :) - Great location, very secure and wonderful host :)
- Simran (9/5): Superb -
- Jonny (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! Nothing, everything was spot on.
- Duvvoor (8/5): Nice homely place, close to central London with secure private parking. - Fantastic location situated in Zone 2 of London underground. All amenities provided. Excellent communication by host. Secure private car parking. NA
- Donna (9/5): Great little place - The host was a great communicator and was very attentive. Having the whole space to ourselves was great. The bed was huge and one of the most comfortable we had ever slept in. Having a car park included was definitely a bonus. Could do with a freshen up in terms of decoration but it was clean and tidy. Need a new shower screen as it looked quite grubby and the flooring could do with being replaced but didn't detract from it being a great little place and it was good value for money for London.
- Barnes (10/5): Spacious and homely flat with free, secure parking. - Good communication, convenient location and parking. Quiet, spacious and homely. Secure and comfortable. There is a nice, private courtyard at the back and also a shared garden that you can sit in.
It felt like you were borrowing a friend's flat for a couple of days! Nothing we didn't like. It is a comfortable, homely flat that you are staying in.
- Emma (6/5): Not ‘stunning’ but good. - Lovely area- a mix of ‘hip, vibrant’ Peckham Rye and pretty Victorian houses.
Nice host rang me to check I had all details, could get key, could park…instructions were clear.
A proper big flat with Lots of space to live in- even a yard to sit out in!
For 2-3 people (using sofabed) , staying more than just one night (like me) it’d have been perfect, and good value for money. Bedclothes were very ‘nylony’ and didn’t seem that clean.
Light in bathroom was broken so a temporary flex had been put in
Kitchen/dining area was well equipped but a bit depressing(Formica chipped, security grilles..)
- Wiliam (9/5): Superb -
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (9/5): Superb -
- Larraine (6/5): Wouldn’t call it stunning. It was nice. - Location and ability to park.
Owner was kind and thoughtful The instructions for the key safe were confusing.
No where to hang clothes as owners clothing were in wardrobe and didn’t like to invade his privacy
- Pissamai (9/5): Comfortable and private - Small but gave everything needed and clean Nothing
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tina (8/5): Comfy and well equipped place - Comfortable and well equipped apartment walking distance from a train station. We had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend stay. It wasn't obvious where to park and getting through that gate to drive in and out of the car park was a real pain.
- Daisy (2/5): Good location and parking but the apartment itself lacked cleanliness and was not an enjoyable stay. - The apartment was in a good location, and private parking was great Not very clean, mugs were filthy so we weren’t able to use, whole apartment was just unkept. Couldn’t feel like we could relax and very much felt like we were in someone else’s house - personal belongings everywhere etc.
- Matteo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (7/5): This is a great space to stay on a nice and quiet street in Peckham, very secure, off street parking, outdoor space and - Very convenient, quiet and secure. Bathroom carpet could do with sorting out.
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Car park was perfect, bed was comfy Nothing, everything was great!
- Monica (10/5): Exceptional - Stayed here a couple of nights. Lovely place - very comfy bed! The gated free parking was a major plus. Close to shops and a train station. Definitely recommend Nothing bad
- Michelle (10/5): An absolute pleasure and such a good night's sleep - Lots of space and really light considering it is the basement apartment.
Everything you need is there and the host is great if you can't find something.
The flat was nice a cool during the day and the heating work great at night.
We put it on to just over 12 before we went out and it was plenty warm enough when we came back.
We felt nice and secure because of the gated parking.
The bed was something else. Well the mattress and cool topper and quilt.
We slept soundly. I will be getting myself one of the mattresses it was so good.
Also the eye mask was brilliant.
Couldn't fault the apartment.
We were 5-10 minealk from local cafes, pubs, stores restaurants.
Also 5-10 min walk to the Peckham Rye station that we used to get to the places we wanted to around London.
It really is a great location without the pandemonium that the busier areas of London come with.
The garden furniture was covered over for the winter but it was a real suntrap and quite large.
The apartment could comfortably fit 4 adults without feeling overcrowded.
Locals were so friendly and helpful. Had a ptoper English breakfast at the crossroads cafe. Their staff were so friendly too. Great food for a great price.
- Dominic (9/5): Superb -
- Simone (10/5): Exceptional - Exceeded our expectations. Really spacious, comfortable, and well equipped
- Steven (10/5): An incredible place to stay. Very comfy, warm and relaxing. - A truly amazing place to stay. Place was lovey and warm when I arrived, inviting lighting and mood music, all very thoughtful and convenient. Excellent easy safe parking. Hosts is extremely helpful. A real find.
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jk (6/5): Pleasant -
- Bryony (8/5): Very good -
- Malcolm (9/5): Superb -
- Shelly (5/5): Great Location but in need of good clean and update - Great location. close to transport and to the activity we were there to attend. Its a spacious flat, really quiet and private. Lots of info and instructions left by the owner. Owner was really helpful and accommodating when I thought we might need to arrive before check-in. The flat is in real need of a real deep clean and an overall update. For the standard of the property, I think the price is a bit high, but it might be priced for the area/London as it was one of the more reasonably priced places I found.
- Sharon (10/5): Perfect apartment for a getaway - Everything, secure off road parking, private entrance, when we arrived place was left with lights and music on and so welcoming with everyday essentials on hand if needed. Warm, cosy like a home from home. Nothing
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (6/5): Pleasant -
- Alan (9/5): Very comfortable, well equipped, ideal location & secure private parking -
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Good communication with owner

- Venkatesh (8/5): Very good -
- Pucci (10/5): Perfect dog-friendly accommodation with secure car park - Location, Secure parking, Dog friendly
- Adebayo (4/5): Great location but terrible cleaning. - Location is great. There is good proximity to almost everything. The place was super dirty, kitchen, the couch and the toilet was not in any way cleaned. Had to clean the couch and the toilet myself. It also appeared to be someone’s personal apartment, the wardrobes were locked, fridge filled with items. The automatic scent dispenser is not needed. Strong perfume can triggar astmatic attack.
- Sarah (7/5): Good -
- Skye (10/5): Great place! - Great value for money, a very large apartment with everything you need in close distance from the tube. Same price as booking a cheap hotel, but we had a whole apartment. Nothing
- Robert (7/5): We wanted to visit London... It was only a 10 walk to the train station - Very easy to access the property, key code was given to me via WhatsApp. Master bedroom bed was nice and big but not very comfy
- Fahed (10/5): Love it. - The house is very nice, it has everything you need. Very good location close to everything you need. And the host is very helpful. Nothing.
- Grant (10/5): Amazing apartment and Peter was so accommodating and vary welcoming - Easy to get in the apartment and vary private and safe That it wasn’t mine to keep 😩
- Scott (9/5): Superb -
- Rico (10/5): Exceptional - Pete’s hospitality as a host was outstanding. He made sure I have everything I need during my stay. His house is comfy and warm. It is close to the train station and many amenities. I would definitely come back again!
- David (6/5): No hot water in shower. - No hot water in shower. Host didn’t respond until I was about to check out.
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jill (10/5): Exceptional find - a home from home - Spacious well appointed flat in quiet location but within short stroll of amenities. To have secure off road parking as well is amazing.
Room sizes are generous so we didn’t feel on top of each other. Little courtyard off the kitchen as well. Neighbours were lovely as well as the owner answering all our pre-stay questions. Would stay again in a heartbeat as a short stroll to Lidl and other markets if you want to cater for yourself and equally short stroll to transport links, restaurants, pubs etc.
- Stijn (10/5): Exceptional - Nice location. Nice host who communicates well
- Nick (5/5): Passable -
- Alexandre (10/5): Exceptional - Good communication.
Very helpful.
I recommend.
- Mamta (10/5): Great stay in a comfortable apartment - Very well located with lots to do nearby. Garden was a nice touch. Nothing
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aurimas (8/5): Very good -
- Tommy (8/5): Very good -
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melody (10/5): Great place to stay - The perfect place to stay for a few days away with the family within easy reach of central London. Secure private parking and plenty of facilities. Ideal location close to the centre of Peckham, which is a very lively and vibrant area. Host was very friendly and helpful, and ensured we had everything we needed. Would absolutely stay here again next time we visit London.
- Sally (7/5): Good - Spacious and secure.
Big king size bed It was clearly someone's home with personal effects around the home, felt a little odd like staying at a friend's and they slept elsewhere.
In my opinion was comfortable and in need of work in a few areas, ie loose kitchen floor tile and in need of a re grout.
Bathroom shower screen and taps very limescaled.
Wasn't as close to local amenities as described, but transport was easily accessible.
- Zoanna (10/5): Beautiful, cosy apartment - The host was incredibly helpful. The apartment was lovely, comfy bed, very relaxing stay, great facilities. It was very close to our parents house, which was ideal for a visit Nothing
- Theboomers (10/5): Exceptional - This is a good location for this area of London where there are not a lot of hotels. And there is very secure parking, a bonus for this area where permit parking is everwhere - the apartment itself is also very secure and warm. The host checked frequently that everything was OK and was easy to contact. We will be back since we have family nearby.
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location for our needs and secure off-road parking.
Clean and comfortable.
- Julie (5/5): it was ok the host was good always stayed in touch - it was big and near the train station. the parking was great felt a bit like an air bb which if we had known that we wouldn’t of booked to many personal thinks about also needed a really good clean .
- Sabrina (10/5): my prefered london place - Easy to access, check in, cozy and very clean, excelent bed, full of itens to serve us, a real london apt, warm, beautiful, and perfect host. nothing to say.
- Samilia (8/5): Perfect for what we needed, if a bit pricey, but it is London! - Great parking. Really close to my brother's bar which was the reason we were staying and we could walk to the high street. Interesting photos and decor. Car Gate was a bit of a pain to do what you wanted it to do. Food left by owner so confused whether it was free gain or for the owner the next day (we just left it be).
- Toby (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): great stay and great host! - comfy clean and all mod cons. and parking!
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tommy (10/5): Gantastic 4 days in comfort and ease to get to both London concerts easily - great location and the host was very good to deal with in enquiries nothing
- Susie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melanie (10/5): Lovely convenient little apartment - Everything was lovely, from Pete "the host with the most" to how near the transport was. Considering how close we was too London, how quite it was at night. Would definitely stay again
