Guest Reviews
- Phil (9/5): - Great room very well placed for my studio 120m away Nothing really. It's simple accomodation but amazingly priced.
- Caitlin (10/5): -
- Espinosa Martínez (6/5): - La ubicación La ducha no calentaba bien, agua muy fria
- Cihan (6/5): -
- Tóth (8/5): - Elhelyezkedés szempontjából teljesen tökéletes, könnyen eltudunk jutni London belvárosába Papír falak, minden áthallatszik

- Laila (8/5): Great place, had what we needed. - Had a very nice stay at this place and was close to London Underground. Good information from the host about codes and address, so there was no problem finding it. Clean and nice. Will gladly return, as we liked the area.

- Carline (7/5): - Proximité du métro
Bien chauffé. Les photos de l’appartement ne correspondaient pas à celui qu’on a eu.
Salle de bain avec un plafond en mauvais état.
- Refilwe (10/5): Great - It was close to where I needed to be
Safety
Cleanliness
Communication /updates were great from the host Nothing to fault
Except the flickering light in the bathroom
- Ashraf (7/5): Good -
- Ashraf (7/5): Good -
- Chen (5/5): Passable -
- Simimol (10/5): Very good - I like room Very good ( i like your room )
- Liam (7/5): Good - It was all good. Once I worked out the access codes into the building and room.
- Kerry (6/5): Terrible start but turned out OK. - The room i had booked and was eventually moved into was great it was clean and perfect for our needs. There was an issue with us being able to check in, it was hard trying to get hold of the hosts for the access code. When we did get into the room, it was the wrong one. There was only room for 3 to sleep, and we were 4. When I finally got hold of someone, they acknowledged we were in the wrong room but no explanation as to why. We did eventually move, but this meant we were really late for our evening plans.
The whole wrong room thing was very strange it was almost put them in here see if they complain, if they do move them but if not we have the large room we can rent out or save money/time on cleaning.
Unfortunately, there was also a really strong sulfa smell whenever the toilet was flushed. Thankfully, we were out for the majority of the time.
- Karishma (7/5): Good -
- Kashif (7/5): Good -
- Ioana (1/5): Great location but everything else is terrible - V near to Caledonia Rd station and many good shops. In a good area sort of because the actual building is near some bins Where do I start.
- when we walked in it smelt of damp + asbestos. We had the windows open the whole time
- the bathroom smelt as if it never been aired out
- there’s no button for the flush on the toilet
- Wi-Fi very weak and kept cutting off through the night
- shower was tiny, I am a woman and struggled to use it
Finally, the host demands ID before letting you enter which is unprofessional and makes the customer feel uneasy. Will not be booking again.
- Georgina (5/5): Passable - Location Bathroom needs attention. Mold on walls. No shower tray, therefore shower water leaked all over floor. Fully tiled bathroom.
No towels provided on first day. 2 towels for 3 people left on second day. Towels were needed to dry floor.
- Ronald (7/5): Good -
- Hassan (5/5): Passable - Price is reasonable for London Not a great area, WiFi connection was terrible
- Scott (8/5): Very good -
- Tyrone (3/5): Not what was advertised - Nothing Everything
- Tony (10/5): Great place, highly recommend - Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was well maintained and clean. Great price for central London especially with the included bathroom, kitchenette and sitting area. Cheaper than a premier inn even, and much higher quality. Would 100% stay again, and have already recommended to friends.
- Abeed (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (1/5): Horrible horrible place - Only good thing was the size of the room Almost everything, mostly how dirty and run down the place is. I only stayed here because I needed somewhere close by after where I’d originally booked had double booked my first night, thankfully it was only 1 night I had to stay here. I took a gamble as some reviews were good but my room was awful, I wouldn’t even stay here again if it was free! AVOID!!
- Liam (6/5): Comfy bed. Good amenities. No toilet paper. - Bed was comfy and clean. Easy to access and parking right outside. It's a fairly cosy little room and quiet. Couldn't find any mold, so that has been taken care of, or at least painted over. Has tea facilities and a biscoff which hit the spot. Shower is decent, quite nice shampoo as well. I wouldn't really sit on the chair or use the kitchen, but also has a fridge/freezer which is good, but it did have some frozen chicken in it, maybe that's breakfast. Good location, very easy to do a swift in and out, sleep and shower, for those who are on business. Don't bring your wife here. There was no toilet paper, so I had to use a magazine which thankfully they did have, but it was one of those shiny backed magazines, so not the easiest to work with. The bin was full to the brim, so obviously not regularly emptied. So bring your own toilet roll and expect to take your rubbish with you.
- Jeku (5/5): Used For Sleep Only - Great for a spot to sleep in Wifi doesn't always work at night & shower backed up often.
- Johanna (5/5): Passable -
- Stacey (7/5): Good - Nice room, spacious, nice little touches like additional bedding and pillows, easy to access once code came through. There wasn't anything really not to like, it wasn't a 5 star hotel, but for what we paid it was great value for money.
- Alcaide (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kuklus (9/5): Superb - Nice and clean. Got all the accessories you may need. The key is in the locker, so it is easy to get access. Had a problem to finde it. Sat navigation brought me out the back of the building.
- Joann (9/5): Superb -
- John (4/5): Relatively clean . Close to station . - It was close to the tube station and was clean, apart from one towel. It was warm. Upon arrival the key for my room booked was not present . I ended up in a previously used unserviced room but then transferred to a
Different -at least - acceptable room around 7pm when the owner was decent and came to my aid from as I understand it 40 minutes away. The apt that I booked seemed to be occupied by another visitor. In the second room there was no waste bin and the remote for the tv didn’t work . The noise from an adjacent flat was almost unbelievable until 3am . You can really hear every word and every effort of the occupants to go to the loo. And a ground floor apt whose idea of shutting a door was to slam it as hard as possible this happened repeatedly throughout the night . The facilities were ok, the shower in the first room was better than the second room I stayed in . I messaged the owners this morning and said I would raise the issues with them direct - to save this review -they read my messages 12 hours ago but didn’t reply . A simple sorry would have done. £98 a night is a liberty for what I received.
- Michael (8/5): Nice and decent enough to sleep there - Decent room and bathroom. Excellent price and location (it is a industrial area but quite enough and with the underground you are a just one station away from King's Cross). Recommended especially if you need a nice and clean enough place to sleep, not so much if you want to stay in the room all day (it is a basement apartment). Rather for young people who visit London for activties, nightlife, etc. Service and information was provided via WhatsApp but it still was very nice and competent.
Also, the small kitchen area was great (included microwave oven, water kettle, electric hotplates, fridge and freezer as well as a sink). It even had dishes and cutlery. It was clean enough but not hotel standard. Also, albeit freshly washed, both the linen of the bed as well as towels had old blood stains on them. Maybe time to buy some new? Don't expect it to be a family spot or a romantic place. But overall recommendable.
- James (4/5): Disappointing -
- Katrina (7/5): Good -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracy (7/5): Good - Location was great It was actually a basement apartment. The external front door kept being left unlocked
- Julia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tom (1/5): Bad -
- Gemma (4/5): A nice enough room, let down by a *shocking* bed, in a so-so building. - The room offers easy access to the centre of London - you're only a 10 minute walk from the nearest Tube station, and from there it's only one stop to Kings Cross. There are also good amenities (stove, microwave, TV etc...). If not for the problems I have listed in the "didn't like" section, this room would have been very good value. The building in which the room is located is run down, and in an almost industrial area. There is an odd (but not awful) smell in the room. More importantly the bed is just about unusable. A slab of foam for a mattress, providing no support for your back. I was so uncomfortable that although I paid for 3 nights I left after 2. The room was also not cleaned properly: there were pistachio nut shells lying on the floor behind the bed headboard, which makes it obvious that whoever vaccums the room does not do so diligently. This particularly annoyed me given that check-in was not available until after 4PM, on the basis that the room was being cleaned (although, to be fair, I couldn't have checked in earlier anyway given that my flight into London was delayed).
- Oluwamuyiwa (7/5): Good -
- Dawn (7/5): Nice studio with all the facilities we needed - I liked the bed and the facilities in the room. Also liked how secure it was. There was an alarm going off downstairs the whole time we were there. The TV didn't work, the signal was just too bad. The area is awful but that's not the owner's fault.
- Andrzej (7/5): Good -
- Sally (5/5): This mouldy little number is well located and although it might meet your needs and the beds are comfy. The electrics d - The beds were comfortable. The kitchenette was suitable and had everything we needed. It was clean and was near to Caledonian road tube with good connections. The bathroom was very very very mouldy. I was concerned about the mould spores and we chose to leave the bathroom fan on 24/7 with the door shut to try too mitigate it. The bathroom mould really brought the place down in our opinion and would prevent us from staying here again.
Also in the bathroom the bare visible wiring in the shower wasn't great- yes it was just an earth cable but it's still not good and needs to be hidden.
The socket in the kitchen was loose which isn't safe either.
- Michelle (8/5): Bright Rooms review - The room is well equipped and clean. I dealt with Rochelle who looks after the apartments directly, via booking.com and she was fantastic. She gave me lots of information, was very accommodating with my requests and the room was ready earlier than advertised. Getting into the apartment was easy. Great price too. The room could do with some TLC, the ceiling in the bathroom is very mouldy. The soap dispenser was rusty, making it difficult to use. One of the mugs was cracked and leaking. The TV remote didn't work so we were stuck watching the shopping channel. However, for the price of the apartment all of this can be forgiven.
- Josef (3/5): Poor - Location OK. Smell, living in celler.
- Hashim (8/5): Very good -
- Catherine (8/5): Very good -
- Daniele (8/5): Very good - Position, kitchen
- Sabharwal (10/5): Exceptional - Convenience
- Olabimpe (9/5): I enjoyed my stay. - Having a kitchen and a bathroom to myself makes it very convenient. The kitchen utensils are adequate enough. The Studio apartment is very clean. Location is difficult to trace as the building number is hidden. The area is located in an industrial area which makes security a bit concerning. However, once settled in, the location becomes easier to commute.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Ozgur (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (8/5): This suited me perfectly for a night. - It had everything I needed, including basic bits in the kitchen (eg washing up liquid, oil, salt, coffee, milk) which I had not expected. The room was a good size and felt airy. It was noisy when people came in late at night, but that’s to be expected in London.
- Abigail (4/5): My stay - Not much.
The shower was brilliant The size of the room. Deceiving on the email.
Too noisy. Not told it was next to the street.
Very very small.
I wish they could change the towels
Internet VERY POOR
- Angie (1/5): Not as described, hugely disappointing … - It was close to public transport Not as described - no table to facilitate family meals and pictures were of another flat and did not resemble the flat we stayed in.
Local building work started at 0230hrs with vehicles reversing outside the flat - this continued routinely making sleep difficult. Work was not limited to during the day as highlighted in description. Completely ruined our holiday.
Owner did not respond to concerns raised.
- Michael (4/5): Disappointing - It was just ok. Plumbing issues need sorting Location. Rubbish in street.
- Hussey (1/5): Wouldnt reccomend - Where do I start place is nothing like the photos and we stayed in one them shown bugs crawling in shower wen attempted to just wash hair it flooded and blocked up for over 20 mins 2 out 3 chairs broken couldnt change tv remote wouldnt allow it no buttons to change channel on tv either, laminate flooring coming up loads dirt on walls needs a gd clean and freshen up only stayed cos couldnt get anywere else wish i had read reviews further back as same issues since 2022 sent my issues to manager who seen message but no reply they dont care took the money wouldnt not reccomend would not use again The condition of the place and generally dirty
- Plumpton (3/5): Poor - Self check in The room bore no resemblance to the photographs. It was tiny and not worth the price. It is opposite a warehouse and there was constant noise throughout the day
- Alastair (1/5): Disappointing that the room was nothing like advertised - Room was dirty with dust on blinds and shelves
Foul smell coming from toilet constantly
Hairs on seats
Wobbly table
Broken toilet flusher
Broken blinds
- Robert (6/5): Pleasant -
- David (8/5): Very good - Excellent location with access to both Underground and Overground stations
- Alix (2/5): SCAM!! Disappointed and deceptive, wouldn't recommend - That it was a private room with a private bathroom. It wasn't the room we had booked. We asked about it and was ignored by the owner who had seen my message. It is a total scam and the room was basic yet dirty.. The windows were dirty and the blinds were black with filth. The bathroom drains also had a horrid smell coming from them and using the sink or shower only made it worse.
- Kit (2/5): old and poor conditions. - not far to bus station TV remote control didn’t work.
Duvets had stains.
Shower was not draining probably. We are 4 people and the second one to shower that was already flooding.
I have a buggy with me but there was a bike hanging on stairs, which made me hard to get through.
Room outside was too noisy. You can hear some trucks and workers outside since 2am.
- Carl (2/5): Very poor - Close to shops and bused in midfle london Construction site directly outside our window..
- Anonymous (4/5): Never again. - Not much. Communication with the host was bad. The apartment is in a basement with no windows. It is very old, the shower flooded.
- Peter (8/5): nice place if you don’t mind walking 10 minutes to the tube. - self contained the entry is a bit cumbersome
- Dean (2/5): Very poor - Good location Place was very dirty.
- Pooyan (1/5): Bad -
- Maxim (4/5): dirty, really slow wifi, central-ish - — they put me one floor up, not in a basement room
— fairly central
— price not terrible — really unclean. Floor was gross and sticky with big stains
— bathroom drains were clogged
— hotel is falling apart. All the door handle edges are lose for example. Constant beeping the lobby (didn’t bother me, but…)
— Wifi REALLY slow. 1mb download, less upload. I had to go to Kings Cross for usable internet many days
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Carlos (10/5): Exceptional - Location was very good; we can walk around to most main places in the city
- Pvn (9/5): we would stay again. - super clean and very convenient location.good communication with the property manager. pillows and need an extra blanket as the dooner was too hot.
- Milagre (4/5): Disappointing -
- Petra (1/5): Horrible, don’t visit! - The apartment was beyond dirty, they gave us 2 towels for 4 days and 2 small rolls of toilet paper. When we asked for more towels, the owner just ignored us. The cutlery was dirty and greasy, there was a bit of blood on one towel. There were spider webs on the walls and the ceiling, the shower was dirty… The location was OK, it was easy to get around, even though it’s in an industrial zone. The building smelled like marihuana more than a few times and we didn’t feel safe in it. All in all, a horrible experience.
- Katie (9/5): Superb - Great value for money and in a great location There was no blinds on the window which left it no very private
- Zak (5/5): Passable -
- Diane (6/5): Pleasant - Great location, easy to access, great flexibility and well equipped. Heating was also good. Really needed a clean, carpet was covered in dirt or crumbs!
- Anonymous (8/5): Overall it was a good experience - All necessities for a weekend stay were provided.
It was clean and tidy, and the heating was good
A key lock system meant I was independent and could come and go as I wanted with my schedule Perhaps extra sheets/blankets when it’s cold
- Azah (9/5): Superb -
- Daina (5/5): Passable - Communication with staff was easy, efficiant and quick response.
Apartment was very warm and spacious enough for comfortable stay.
Bed was clean and comfortable. Apartment appeared quite used and unkept with scratches and damages on the furniture. Bathroom floor was very cold and there was no bathroom floor matt or carpet. We moved livingroom carpet and found used condoms under it what made us question general clealiness.
- Anonymous (3/5): I was completely miserable sub-stance place to stay! - this was not the room I received! my room was not as bright and spacious as this one described! I got something totally different and was forced to keep it because I was prevented from canceling! nothing, the location was isolated located in a very desolate area. barren at nights was feeling safe so avoided leaving the place at nights! The alarm kept going off and it was both annoying and inconvenient! This was a hellish 3 weeks almost. couldn’t wait to leave! believe a camera was also in the room!
- Julia (3/5): won’t stay there again - nothing smell of cooking and the fire alarm went off twice and rang for 20 minutes each time
- Gillian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (7/5): Good -
- Misbahu (7/5): Good -
- Abdul024dem (7/5): Good -
- Enrico (4/5): Disappointing -
- Booth (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodation and facilities plus the peace and quiet The WiFi was very intermittent and the television could be larger
- Sara (5/5): great location, property ok - location cleanliness
- Cheshirecat92 (7/5): Good -
- Rizqiya (7/5): Good price and easy access to the city - the place is just 5 minutes away from 390 bus stop ( bus line that can get you to city center, 15 minutes to St. Pancras and King's cross station). There are sainsbury mini market, local shop and several restaurant very close which is really covenient. Overall the place is nice, the bed and sofa bed and studio type apartment. There is kitchen and fridge you can use to minimize the budget on food. Unfortunately there is broken things like a cupboard door, laundry hanging rack, loose cushion chair seat(the seat always falls wheb trying to seat on it) and no hook for clothes at the bathroom which makes it less comfortable. The room is in the basement & the air circukation is not very good, which can be really hot during summer.
