- Ciara (10/5): Excellent property, superb location, ample space for 6 - Superb location, minutes from Oxford Street yet very quiet. Sainsburys nearby for supplies, cute cafes and bakery on the way to Oxford St. for breakfast. Beds are really comfie. Living area was spacious enough for 4 adults and two teenagers. Would definitely stay here again. Quite a few steps internally, third bedroom is up a narrow flights of stairs. Not a dealbreaker for us at all though.
- Charlie (5/5): Perfect area but needs fixing - The location is perfect! The apartment itself looks lovely and has plenty of room and provides most thins you need for your stay. The beds were comfy and clean. The apartment needs a fair few things replacing an fixing, it seems to have been patched a few times. The bath plug didn't work and didn't drain, after running the London Marathon and desperate for shower there was no hot water, the toilet flush worked only intermittently, one of the blinds in the upstairs bedroom was broken, the knob on the microwave was also broken & there was an older hair brush and bobble under the bed from past visitors. We paid A LOT of money for 2 nights stay so probably wouldn't come back.
- shakila (8/5): I enjoyed my stay - It was well equipped and functional apartment and was given clear instructions to check in. It was very modernised. The location was far out.we have to get taxi everywhere
- Dafydd (10/5): Always a real pleasure staying at The Interlock apartments. -
- stella (8/5): -
- Marilyn (4/5): They didnt write in the page/site that its a 3 floors with so narrow staircase. We have a problem to carry our lugga - So narrow stairs. Having problem to fit/carry big luggage’s. Maybe you need to state in your home page/site to inform the guest.
- christodoulos (3/5): The location was excellent, everything else was a disappointment - Location 1)The property had broken blinds so you could not exclude the light
2) The property is not well insulated, so where there is glass, it’s cold, it was hard to make the living area warm
3) the bed was uncomfortable
4) the pillows were lumpy and hard, very very uncomfortable
5) there was mould in the bathrooms
6) the toilet flushed do not work easily
7) the shower heads were full of limescale so the water did not stream well
8) the heating system was generally not easy to use and there were no instructions
9) the blue screen for the heating did not turn off so one of the bedrooms (not the main, but the other downstairs) was lit up all night with blue light (to add to the light from outside that couldn’t be blocked)
10) the TV often froze and restarted
11) the property could do with a bread knife

- Sarah (5/5): Great location, but needs decorating. - Great location It’s seemed tired and dirty, with lots of marks on the walls and mould in the shower.
- Marielle (8/5): - Locatie
- Donnell (10/5): Central appt - Excellent accomodation. Brilliant location. Lovely and tidy. Everything there that you needed especially in kitchen. Great having 2 bathrooms and a 3rd toilet. If you're lucky enough to get the master bedroom there's heaps of room. 2nd bedroom is pretty compact. The stairs were a bit of a pain😉 but you got used to them. No expelair or shelving in the 2nd bathroom shower for shampoo or soap etc but that was a 1st world issue...

- Suhaimi (8/5): Interlock apartment was our home away from home; we liked it. - The apartment wqs excellent meeting our requirements home away from home. The washing machine with dryer was very useful in replenishing our clothes throughout our a week stay. The hot shower & portable heaters were excellent. The narrow & steep staircase was a bit of a hassle at first.
It was difficult finding the entrance door as it was hidden & without any signage from the road itself.
- Khalid (10/5): -
- Kelly (7/5): Very nice apartment and if the beds were improved then we would definitely stay again. - Location was great and good size apartment for family of 4 The beds were so incredibly uncomfortable, improving the mattresses would make a huge impact.
- Maca (10/5): - La ubicación y el departamento en si, cumplió las expectativas, muy bien ambientado, muy linda la decoración y con todo lo necesario para la estadía.
- Mazen (10/5): - Wonderful stay… quite central and quiet, within easy access to ALL London central places. Will definitely come again.
- Vikebø (6/5): -
- Maciej (10/5): -
- John (7/5): Heerlijk verblijf op top locatie - Ligging, comfort De zonnewering werkte niet goed
- George (3/5): Won’t be back - Very laud neighbour, crying baby, every morning
- John (7/5): Great apartment, but... - We loved the location. A nice quiet street near a pub and a short walk to Oxford Circus tube station. We didn't like the narrow stairs up to the apartment. There were also a number of small maintenance issues such as the front door being difficult to lock, the ineffective blackout curtains and window locks. We also found the kitchen appliances difficult to use and the kitchen was poorly provisioned.
- Hao (8/5): Beware, no lifts, nowhere to store luggage, otherwise good. - Great location, it is a little hard to find the door. Spacious and tall ceilings. Comfortable. No lifts, lots of curtains not staying up (shutter type), nowhere to store luggage on check out day.
- Iain (6/5): Great location but would benefit from some attention to details. - 1. Location
2. Cleanliness For 6 people, there were only 5 table chairs and only 4 low soft chairs. The soft chairs were too low for older/more infirm people to get up from. In addition, there were a number of small defects e.g. standard lamp would not switch on, the toilet roll holder in the en-suite bathroom was broken and unusable, there weren't enough towel rails and the hanging space in the cupboards was too short for ladies' dresses. The whole flat would benefit from detailed attention to fixtures and fittings.
- Olga (6/5): good location, very clean, terrible service - location great very central the communication with the host was great untill we started having issues, then they dissapeared. Did not show up to repair the fact that the apartment could not be safely locked - needed multiple reminders to finally get a response that after 2 days of complaining at the end of our stay we would get a 25% refund - despite various follow ups still waiting - only once we logged the complaint via booking.com we got the reply that we should expect it - but yes still waiting
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): Fantastic apartment - I was sent the key code and directions to the property the day before my arrival Could make any improvements it was a lovely place
- Nikolaos (9/5): Superb -
- Sergei (1/5): Bad - The apartment you see in the photos, including the photos I am looking at as I am typing out this review, are different from what we ended up staying at. There are no windows. This is a first floor apartment with two bedrooms in the windowless basement, including the master.
The location is good and the place is clean and serviceable.
However, this is a bait and switch. When I inquired when we showed up, I was told that this is like the Ritz Carlton. The pictures of the rooms are “representative” and are not actually of the apartment you’re staying in. To me that that’s a bait and switch, and therefore, I am ranking this as low as possible so that others do not fall into the same trap. I’m actually shocked that the website allows for this to continue to this day.
You should be able to decide when you pay this kind of money whether you want to stay in this actual apartment or not. And there may be people who are willing to stay in basement apartments because it’s cheap cheaper and convenient or what not. I just would not have chosen it. I hate basement apartments. This is a basement apartment and it was not even remotely clear from the listing.
- Basharat (7/5): Good - The main bathroom door was difficult to open and close
- Sarah (3/5): Please do some maintenance on this property. - Very used. Needs upkeep. Many marks on walls. Heaters locked on too hot and required a pin to turn down. Tried to contact Hausd who manages property but no reply on two occasions. Couldn't open window in room my daughters were in as persons were using back stairwells as a place to use drugs. Was unsettling. Waaay too many stairs. Very narrow stairs. 56 just to our bedroom and another narrow flight to top bedroom. Very difficult to get luggage in and out of unit.
It was hard to operate lock to front entry door. Especially to lock at night. I had to stand outside and keep testing it was locked. One window in bathroom lock also broken.
Only one tea bag provided to use for 3 bedroom apartment seems ridiculous.
I would hope this was an oversight by housekeeper.
Noise from pub across road very loud but thankfully not too late into the night. Settled about 11pm. Had to have windows open as we couldn't as mentioned operate heating even though I had opened provided manual online it was locked.
- Joanne (8/5): Very good - Location was fantastic,5 mins from Oxford street bars, restaurants, shops all near and easy walking distance .very clean, stylish and well equipped with everything you need for a stay.beds were the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in an hotel or apartment so had great night's sleep !would definitely recommend .Only issue was oven went on without me knowing how it went on as not easy to operate.need clear instructions on how to use it as couldn't use it! Only a minor recommendation that milk would be nice touch for guests to have for coffee/tea
- Tiffany (9/5): Just what we needed - Design and space Pillows very very hard
- James (9/5): I would return to these apartments. - Good location. Clean and well equipped.
- Ghaliah (3/5): Poor - Location The stairs
- Smita (9/5): Superb -
- Sana (1/5): Bad -
- Zenad (10/5): It was great I loved everything about it from the location to the interior of the apartment. - It was so asthetically pleasing and clean. Also the lighting in the house was so nice, and you get a really pretty street view. I didn’t know how to close the windows in the larger room, but it wasn’t a huge issue.
- Ivy (3/5): Poor -
- Ali (1/5): To reach the top level you need to use 4 stairs levels it’s not suitable for old people - Location Too many narrow stairs flat entrance in the first floor the living room in second floor bedroom in third floor the third room in the fourth floor the stairs are narrow and hard to use very sharp angle.
- Annie (7/5): The apartment has everything you need - Bedrooms are far from eachother: much privacy Fungus in the bathroom needs to be cleaned thorougly
- Rob (8/5): Very good - Location, space
The reservation team were very helpful. Some of the fittings were not working e.g light switches. Could do with simple instructions on heating system.
Sofa's could be better as uncomfortable we did run out of hot water twice
- Cem (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chee (10/5): Exceptional - Just can’t store luggage after check out if late flight
- Mehmet (8/5): Great stay - Perfect Location, modern, clean Heating problems, could be cold, and construction was going on next building
- Anne-elisabeth (8/5): Very good - We got apartment number 2 (could not chose this when booking). This was a really nice apartment and not many stairs as some people here write about. Guess they got a different apartment. Easy access, got an email about code for door and key box. This way of doing it works really well, but can drown a bit in many emails and lots of text - only drawback I can think of. Location was perfect! It was difficult to understand how to change the temperature for the aircon, only negative thing I have to say about the apartment. It was on second floor with no elevator, so if you have problem to climb stairs you should know about this.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - Location X
- Kinga (6/5): Great location but very inconvenient and narrow layout. - Perfect location based on our requirements. Bedrooms bathrooms and living/kitchen areas clean and well equipped. Property is far smaller and narrower than photos lead to believe. Layout over 4 floors which was unclear from the details meant it wasn’t ideal for young children. Walls on staircases are scuffed up and down and could do with cleaning / repainting. Toilet flushes very hard to flush and shower doors open onto the bathrooms pushing all water out onto bathroom floors. Expensive for our 4 night stay.
- Regina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (7/5): Great stay in a good location, the beds were great but some of the appliances did not work. - 3 sizeable bedrooms with good beds
great location
the access to the appartment and key handover was easy
washing machine many stairs to climb inside of the appartment.
the pub apposite was pretty loud.
the kitchen appliances (oven, microwave) didn't work.
the top room was pretty warm, even with the fan on.
- Mansour (8/5): Very good -
- Fadel (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (10/5): perfect property and will be back again - it was true to the advert and in close proximity to everything we needed to do.
- Andy (9/5): Had a great time making memories in London. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. - Great location. Good facilities. Suited us with two young kids. The oven was tricky to work without a manual. Don’t worry we got the croissants warm in the end, it was a happy ending (not like that 🙄)
- Amanda (8/5): Very good - the only issue for us was the early check in and later check out. we do need this for future trips and would appreciate assistance with this.
also we paid 50 pounds for cleaning services but there was none of that.
- Kirsty (10/5): Great location, lovely bathrooms - location, cleanliness, funky layout, great place! the sofa and beds are quite low, they may not be suitable for everyone
- Gl (6/5): Pleasant -
- Wing (6/5): disappointed due to the unusable oven - Location is full of restaurants nearby. Comfy district and it’s quite during night time. Close to station and soho district. Oven in both apartments never work during our stay. the first 2 days showed “ERR”. It was completely power off after staff checking and no one notice until we try to use it. it’s very disappointed as the we planed to use it everyday. There’s no life for this building. Staircases are narrow and the steps are high, it was difficult to carry luggages up and down. 3 bedrooms apartment has lot of staircases.
- Anantaya (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Zubin (8/5): overall well appointed house in fantastic location - fantastic location and very well appointed apartment with all necessary comforts e.g. Nespresso machine etc lots of stairs. I don’t think anything in the property description prepared me for that :)
- German (8/5): Very good -
- Jo (1/5): IF YOU ENJOY PAYING OVER £1000 FOR AN OVERNIGHT STAY WITH NO HEATING IN DECEMBER THIS IS THE PLACE! - AVOID AT ALL COSTS! We paid over £2000 for a 2 night stay over a bitterly cold December weekend. For the first 25 hours we had no heating other than plug in radiators that had been left in the property, clearly the agents were aware of an issue with the heating and thought this would suffice and stop any complaints. We tried the emergency phone line numerous times but the reception staff were unable to get a response from their maintenance department, utterly shambolic. After a number of strongly worded emails they have offered a small refund for the first nights stay, insulting as they should have refunded the period we were without heating in full. They claim that they had specialist heating engineers supply the temporary heating to ensure it was adequate for the space. Firstly this proves they knew about the heating issue prior to our arrival and they should have offered the chance to change the booking and secondly the heaters were the type you can buy from Argos for about £50. Avoid avoid avoid......
- Mohammad (8/5): i would recommend this apartment to a group of young people that has the ability to take the stairs - it was well furnished and spotless was not obviously mentioned that it is 3 floors without elevator .. some basic things were missed for instance: extra blankets and sugar in the kitchen.
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional -
