Guest Reviews
- Angel (7/5): Good -
- Patrizia (7/5): Good -
- Maria (9/5): Great location, nice flat, not great building. - Location and comfort The building. Lift didn’t work and building was very dirty and old.
- Hepsevil (6/5): Pleasant - Location is very good, 5 min walk to Oxford Street, Hyde Park and public transport stations.
Many restaurants, pubs, cafes and groceries nearby. Cleanliness
- Eike (6/5): Pleasant - - The location near Hype Park was amazing for me. An underground station is nearby, making it easy to travel to the City of London or other destinations. There is also an underground line to go to Heathrow Airport.
- The place is cozy and I like having a kitchen. - The sink in the bathroom was 95% clogged. This should have been noticed by the host when preparing the apartment for the next guest.
- It would be nice if there were some basic things in the kitchen like salt, pepper and oil.
- Tumova (8/5): Very good - I liked the location a lot. The flat is quite spacious, if you take in consideration that you are in London where everything is super small. The humidity in the flat, but I understand that its London ☺️
- Malak (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mohammad (7/5): Good -
- Carl (10/5): excellent all round apartment -
- Georgina (7/5): Good - The apartment was well located and clean. I would just suggest to the owner that if you give a checkout time to guests that you allow them this time rather then arriving 20mins earlier and letting yourself in on them!
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (1/5): Couldn’t wait to leave. If I had arrived before 22:00 at night I would have turned around and found somewhere else to st - Unhygienic. Smelt of mould. Was a very depressing environment. Didn’t want to take my shoes off. Front door looked like it had previously been broken into. Didn’t feel safe. I didn’t want to touch anything.
- Alison (9/5): Fabulous stay - Fabulous little place, as described, great central location, comfy bed, great shower, close to lots of eateries and supermarkets, tube station nearby. Security made me feel quite safe even though I was on my own. Very friendly and responsive host! Outside the flat was a lot less run down than I expected. Bit of a hiccup with the cleaners, but promptly resolved after contacting host. Kitchen was initially lacking adequate cooking utensils but the owner responded and bought things... so it will be great for the next people.! Stairs were hard work after a big day out... but i was warned about them... would be difficult with small children or elderly.
- Simon (8/5): Great option once renovations are completed - Great location and everything you need The building work on the common spaces and lift was out of action so carrying suitcase up 4 flights of stairs was a bit difficult
- Turkenburg (8/5): Very good -
- Habibul (7/5): Good -
- Chris (8/5): Well located and convenient base - The apartment was as described. Fairly comfortable and in a great location. Fantastic shower. Good Wi-Fi Bathroom needs brighter lighting
4 flights of stairs might be too much for some people, but it was ok for me
- Dookieh (8/5): Better than I expected - I expected the worst of the building itself but it wasn't that bad! Apt was nice :D It was really loud outside in the weekend :( and the blanket was too hot for me, but I guess that's personal preference.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Giles (10/5): Great location nice facilities - Good facilities Nothing
- David (8/5): great city location in busy area. - location very convenient to public trans and walking. manager was very responsive and helpful. thank you. modest building. under renovation ( which we had been warned about still quite shabby) had issues with utilities, fold out bed in living room uncomfortable,
- Fionnuala (5/5): Very well located flat but let down by the poor circulation areas. - Central location was excellent The circulation areas are not decorated ie have not been painted recently , windows are dirty and there is no floor covering. The lighting is poor in the circulation areas.
The lift worked but is in poor condition with indicator lights broken. There are fire doors but given the lack of flooring and proper seals I would question their effectivness. Post booking the owner messaged that these areas are under refurbishment - they are not -there was no evidence of ongoing work anywhere in the building.
- Graham (7/5): Worthwhile staying here if you're on a budget and you're not too fussy - Washing machine and dryer, kitchenette, free wi fi, decent living area and the location near some of the best attractions. London is an expensive city, and if you're travelling on a budget, some compromises need to be made. If you can see past the shabby corridors, this place is okay. The apartment is best suited for a couple as the divan is very uncomfortable. The apartment is quite noisy, and the corridors have no carpet. It was also challenging locating the place. Look out for the name of the building 'Dudley House' located near the intersection of Upper Berkeley St and Edgware Rd when checking in.
- John (1/5): Bad -
- Ross (5/5): Nice enough apartment in very grotty building. - excellent bathroom and shower; comfortable bed; comfortable living room building was run down, badly in need of repairs, dirty, poorly lit hallways and stairs, lift broken, kitchen lacked essentials like a coffee maker and tea pot and egg turner
- Raffaella (4/5): Disappointing - location close to Marble Arch metro station, reception manned 24/24 First of all, communication with the owner of the house, If the building has problems(i.g. maintenance,) I wish I could be informed at the moment I book not on time of arrival, because this neglets me the possibility to change if I wish to, especially in August. I have seen from previous review that the house owner doesn't like people talking too much about the building itself, so I wont do it, I only say that It looks like has just survived an artillery barrage, It's in a very poor Maintenance status(i attached a few pic), only one lift working for 106 flats. The flat itself at first looks seems very cozy, but has many things to fix or at least left unfinished, the floor wooden tiles in some places are well wide apart(as you can see from pics, almost as wide as a one pound coin), the bathroom it's dirty(pics in this case as well) and the shower tiles as fashionable as they are, having a rugged surface are quite hard if not impossible to clean properly, I also found some unwanted, uninvited guest(see pic) coming from under the small cabinet, also there is a broken floor tile where one could harm his feet coming from the shower. in the end one other thing which really troubled me was the lock of the flat door, really undersized and easy to break, that left me with no choice as to carry all my valuables around London. One singular thing I must say there is a very warm and friendly islamic neighborhood, whom I dearly salute.
- Indranil (9/5): Comfortable stay in Central London for family vacation - The best part of the apartment was the location - just 3-4 mins walk either to the nearest bus stop or Tube station. Taxi's are easily available right at the door step (which was a great help on our last day while travelling to the railway station), groceries, variety of restaurants all within easy walking distance. Being centrally located, all the tourist attractions are also easily accessible with Hyde Park being a short walk away The building indoors are under renovation and hence might give an appearance of a not too well maintained building from the exteriors but once you are inside the apartment, its all good
