Guest Reviews
- Selene (6/5): Good location and nice staff, but poor apt quality and super small for two people - The property is in a handy location, 5 mins walk from Liverpool street station. The flat doesn’t look like the photo: these photos are outdated because the flat is way worse. The wardrobe has just one door, the curtains are all stained and sticky, the wall behind the sofa is all stained and dirty. In the bathroom, there’s no hanger for any serviette and the water pressure is ridiculous (if you turn on the tap, there’s no water in the shower and viceversa), the shower is electric and the temperature is either scalding or freezing cold, when you seat on the wc your legs are IN the shower.
- Paul (7/5): - Location, bathroom Needed painting, everything looked half finished constant messages about entering the property
- Simon (8/5): -
- Jack (5/5): - Pretty good location Could of left the basics like tea , coffee , sugar and milk
- Hessel (7/5): Good for a good overnight stay - Location was good The sofa bed was a headache to put together.
- Brett (4/5): Ok - Great location No fire or smoke alarms installed just wires hanging from them ceiling , could of been a bit cleaner , the smell off soggy mop in the shower
- Kamel (4/5): Great location, extremely noisy - Location very central Extremely noisy with sub quality windows so zero noise insulation
- Cristina (3/5): This apartment fell far short of basic expectations for a comfortable and hygienic stay. I would strongly advise others - The location Oh dear, it sounds like your stay in that London apartment was far from ideal. Here's a review reflecting those issues:
A Stay to Forget: Disappointing Apartment in London
My recent stay at this London apartment was unfortunately a deeply unpleasant experience. From the moment I stepped inside, it was evident that cleanliness and maintenance were severely lacking. The apartment was noticeably dirty, with a layer of grime in various areas. Disturbingly, there was visible mold present, which is not only unsightly but also a significant health concern.
Beyond the lack of hygiene, the apartment felt poorly maintained overall. The bathroom was frankly disgusting, and I felt uncomfortable using it. Basic amenities were also missing or inadequate. The internet was unreliable, working only sporadically, which was incredibly inconvenient. The sofa was exceptionally uncomfortable, making it difficult to relax after a long day of exploring the city. Furthermore, the complete absence of a table to eat at was a significant inconvenience.
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Sajjad (8/5): Very good -
- David (5/5): Passable -
- Jayne (7/5): Good -
- Lorenzo (4/5): Disappointing -
- Nadia (5/5): Passable - The communication was easy and quick We don’t feel very comfortable in the apartment. The decoration is clearly unattractive, and no effort has been made to make the space appealing. On the plus side, it’s very clean. However, there are exposed wires, a non-functioning heater, and the bed is clearly worn out. It’s really just a place to drop your things before heading out to enjoy the neighborhood. It’s extremely overpriced for what it is.
- Ivan (3/5): Small and ran down, not worth the price. - Just an example. The window blinds were kept in place with duck tape and fell in the middle of the night scaring everyone. I mean, if you get top monies for a tiny property in central London, have at least the decency to spend 50 quid to fix the curtains.
- Karen (1/5): Absolutely awful. Stay away! - Location It was so dirty with mold all over bathroom
Shower. It looks nothing like the photos on the website. The wifi didn’t work half the time, the shades were secured with duct tape and fell down so there was no window covering on one of the windows. We had no hot water in any of the sinks during our stay there despite us reporting it and them saying they would fix it. It was really a very awful place to stay.
- Karen (1/5): Dirty/disgusting flat. Stay away! - Location was perfect for us. Close to restaurants and family we visited. It was very dirty and many things were broken/not working such as the wifi. They didn’t supply any hand towels or wash clothes and very little soap. We had to buy our own everything. The place was very run down and the bathroom/shower was disgusting. We had no hot water in any of the sinks for the full time we were there despite them saying they would fix it. The windows were open and very thin so very noisy and hard to keep them closed. Blinds were duct taped on and came off and we could not secure it back. Overall very disappointing and would never stay here again. We have stayed all over the world on booking.com and have never been to a places this terrible before.
- Sophia (8/5): Great location with everything you need! -
- Suzanne (5/5): was good for location but the smell put me off staying again - good location for where i needed to be Stank of cigarettes when i walked in and had to get in touch with the owner , they did can and re clean the apartment straight away but still didn’t smell the best and made all my belongings smell ,
- Sajjad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sajjad (8/5): Very good -
- Lou-anne (8/5): Unit was comfortable for a short stay - Unit was comfortable for a short stay, had all the necessary requirements for self catering. Location was good. There was some issues with check in (waited almost half hour to get keys), due to some miscommunications via using Whatsapp instead of the usual Booking.com avenue.
- Su-yin (3/5): Not the best experience. Would rather pay more for somewhere with proper basic facilities. - Great communication from the landlord to collect the keys The walls were very thing so you could hear people walking on the street. The hot water in the shower is erratic, keeps going off. Very low water pressure in the bathroom sink so you can barely wash your hands in there. The lock to the flat felt loose and it didn't feel safe for a woman to stay there on her own. I ended up not sleeping at all. The WiFi was also malfunctioning in the morning.
- Claire (4/5): Adequate just - In a great area, great places to eat near by. Location location location.
Property size perfectly fine with handy bits in good functional kitchen. The smoke alarms appeared to be pulled off ceiling.
Mattress overhangs bed base by a ft.
Bed base appeared grubby around the bottom, however bedding and property overall was clean.
Blind Infront room/bedroom area doesn't fit against window so let a lot of light in. Also couldn't open it as stapled or taped on. Shower head would drop down with water pressure.
- Cameron (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tabea (4/5): Flat is in a good location but apart from that you pay to much money for old roughed up interior. Would not recommend - The flat is in a really good central spot. Next to Spitalfield market, brick lane and near to Liverpool street station. The interior is really roughed up and not in a good shape. Bed was damaged, mirror from the bathroom was standing in the kitchen since the hanger was broken, sofa and table are old and closet doors not working properly and the lamp in the corner broken and not even working. Lot of disgusting spots on the wall especially in the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower is a joke - takes hours to get shampoo out of the hair. We told the contact about bed and mirror and shower pressure. They hung up a new mirror and fixed the bed (halfway) but shower pressure couldn’t be really fixed.
- Kemal (3/5): Freezing, unpleasant stay - Quick easy access with code
- Alice (1/5): Terrible place, don't book!!! - The location is not bad The whole place is old and in a stage of half broken condition. Nothing was even okay. Utensils are old and small, only had one small peeler and it's not sharp at all, there's no hook or rod for hanging towers or clothes, the washer had issue, the sink is very small, the toilet is like halfway clogged, the sofa had no cushion, they only gave us one shower tower for each person .... There's nothing good about this place except the lcation
- Jack (9/5): Superb -
- John (7/5): Great location but spoilt by a lot of issues with the maintenance. - Comfortable bed, very clean. The light on the stairs outsie the apartment door didn't work for three days. The light in the hallway of the apartment and the light in the kitchen did not work. The handbasin drain in the shower room was blocked and not fixed although I reported it. The blackout blinds were very good at keeping the light out but one was partially hanging off the roller and the other one did not go up - not a problem for me since I only slept there. There was no TV remote control and no handbook about the apartment.
- Justin (2/5): Would definitely not stay here again, terrible experience - Location was great We had a terrible stay at this apartment. We stayed for 12 nights, and found a mouse running around the apartment. Landlord would not provide alternative accomodation, even though there were mouse traps around the property. Other issues include: extremely uncomfortable bed. On the 3rd floor with only stairs, there was no outlining this in the booking description. Difficult to use the front door lock, apartment smells of mould, Wifi not working, No ironing board so need to iron on a glass table, Extremely small space, No bath mat provided, Only one set of towels per person provided for a 12 night stay, which were already dirty. The landlord was slow to respond to our issues. We were provided with a fan that wasn’t working, and it took the landlord 5 days to provide a functioning one.
- Patricia-lr (4/5): Overall, my experience was slightly underwhelming, but I believe there is room for improvement. - I really enjoyed the location and the spaciousness of the place. The place could have been cleaner, and the quality of the mattress could have been better.
- Carmen (1/5): Bad - Position The shower, the bed, the cleanliness
- Ruby (7/5): Basic but did the job. Great location, close to bus and train stops. Missing some home touches like bath mat, tea towels - Great location, close to bus and train stops Missing some home touches like bath mat, tea towels, plug for the sink
- Ed (8/5): Pleasant stay - Very responsive, great location, clear entry instructions. Clean Tricky door lock, comfier seating preferable
- Dean (5/5): Passable -
- Sharon (5/5): Owners just need to spend a little time and money to make this space much more appealing. - Location was good for what we needed The photos do not reflect the outside or the inside of the property. We were disappointed at the tiredness of the property. The photos make it look modern and functional but it was not like that in reality. The mattress needs replacing.
- Gregorio (10/5): Central location, big and clean space, equipped with everything you need. Highly recommended!!! -
- Allen (3/5): Ok, but not worth a 120 bucks. - The manager wasn't in, and expected me to turn on the electricity for the building. It was pretty dirty, but not the worst I've seen. Since the electricity had been off, there was a big pool of water in the fridge (from the melted freezer compartment) dim lighting. Cardboard tube for curtain rod. Chairs looked like lawn furniture. Not a huge deal for a 50-60 dollar hotel, but for a 120 bucks, you shouldn't have to be your own electrician.
- Oleksandr (7/5): Good -
- Jodie (5/5): Great location, good amenities like washing machine and microwave. Below average bed comfort - Great location Need bath mat and additional towels for long stay visits like mine. Sheets and pillows were very low quality and need replacing
- Christine (5/5): Passable - Location is excellent, close to Liverpool Street Station and hence easy for travel, lots of places to eat nearby. A street door lacking any sort of identification. No reception facilities, just a series of text with directions.
- Matthew (4/5): Disappointing -
- Eva (5/5): Passable - Location was everything. It was so easy to find from Liverpool st station. Very close to Brick lane too with good food options. They could have provided more than 1 fork. The space definately wouldn't be big enough for more than 2 guests. The bed needs replacing. The front door lock is impossible and needs changing as soon as possible. We spent at least 10 mins trying to get through the front door. No soap is provided, no tea towels, no kitchen roll, not even salt. The heating doesnt work and they provided some really old looking stand alone heaters, one that had melted through the side and looked like it could catch on fire at any moment. Which wouldn't be good as they had removed the smoke alarm in the bedroom. I wouldn't recommend and I wouldn't stay again.
- Chrissy (8/5): Very good - Great location, friendly and patient hosts. Bathroom was very tiny.
- Ben (5/5): Passable - Staff were nice and easy to contact and great value for money considering where it is located! The mattress under the bed for the sofa bed was badly stained definitely needs to be chucked out and a new one bought my mate didn't use it as it was that bad it was groose ngl. I recommend checking and spending a bit of money on replacing these as it's in acceptable but other than that everything was good
- Cheryl (5/5): A great location, with an upgraded bed would be a comfortable short term stay. - Very convenient location, kitchen was well equipped.
Bathroom was very small, shower worked well.
Was toasty warm without any heating on. Bed was very uncomfortable with poorly fitting sheets. The photo suggested a small sofa but there was only one chair.
- Anthony (6/5): Pleasant -
- Catherine (7/5): ok for the price, would probably book again if needed to be in that area - good location. good kitchen facilities including washing machine which would be useful if staying longer uncomfortable beds, no tea towels available. No comfortable chair to sit on, no hooks in bathroom to hang towels
- Suzanne (1/5): Enjoyable trip to London however accommodation needs some talc - location shower was cold , attempted to be fixed by friendly staff but still was Luke warm at best it needs replacing for future guests
- Martyna (7/5): Good -
- Daniel (5/5): Dirty old flat, great location, won’t stay again. - Amazing location, right by Spitalfields market and 7 min walk from Liverpool Street station. The host was very communicative. The apartment is very dirty. There was hair and dust everywhere, on the bed, on the floor, in the bathroom.. it’s clearly not cleaned properly.
Also the WiFi kept going in and out, the mattress is cheap, the shower has low pressure, there was no shampoo or conditioner, there’s no kettle…
It’s unfortunate because getting a proper cleaner and making these little fixes would not cost much, but it would’ve made the stay a lot better.
- Michelle (4/5): Disappointing - Self check in was easy and convenient. Tired and shabby furniture, tv remote didn't work, no kettle.
- Davide (4/5): Disappointing - PROS
- owner did not ask us to pay the deposit
- location is great (5 minutes walk to different subway lines)
- kitchen was complete with different tools CONS
- the apartment is way too little (it said it’s for 4 people, that must be a joke).
- bathroom was extremely small (including the sink) with a door that would fold in half kept together with some tape and tons of hair stuck in it
- shower door frame was very dirty
- water system in the shower was very unclear on how to use: the water was either too hot or too cold (no instructions were given to us until we asked for it)
- toilet had a weak flush
- only one towel per person was included for the whole stay (5 days). How can someone use the same towel for that many days? The owner said they are changed only at the end of the stay. What if someone stays for 2 weeks? That does not make any sense.
- the wall below the sink had a hole in it
- Minor: TV remote did not work
- bed sofa was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on
- curtains were not working properly and were dirty
- windows were dirty and you could barely look outside
- Wifi was super slow, we ended up using our own connection for the whole stay
- we found some stains on the mattress as well
- No soap was available when we checked in
- Daniela (7/5): Good - Location was the reason why we booked this accomodation. We could check in earlier. We booked place for 4 person which was available option on booking.com but room was ready for 2 or max. 3 persons.
- Oren (10/5): Would stay here again - The flat was roomy and nice, everything was as expected. Wifi functioned properly. No A/C but a fan was provided. Late check in (self) was easy and so was checkout. Location was convenient, walking distance to two underground stations. Glad we chose the place. A minor issue of soundproofing, one could hear people talking in the street below, though it happened rarely as it's not a busy place.
- Lorraine (8/5): Very good -
- Mallin (6/5): adequate - location bathroom too small and bed poor for a double .
mattress and size only suitable for single occupier
at best
- Parvathy (9/5): Nice and comfortable Stay😊 - A good and compact space for a group of 3. It is easily accessible from Liverpool St station, and there are numerous restaurants within 0.5 miles.
- Fiona (2/5): Not clean - Great location Late allowing us to check in
Shower didn't work properly
Place was not clean
Owners not interested in fixing shower
