Guest Reviews
- Nguyen (5/5): Cũng tạm dược - Cũng tạm được Cái đệm
- Aleksi (2/5): Keep away at all costs - There were lots of various services available nearby and multiple trains & buses going for all directions. The kitchen had less than bare minimum equipment, you can't even slice a bread. Poor bed, too small for two people. The shower had low pressure so washing long hair was nearly impossible (and resulted in warm water running out).
Very restless neighbourhood, the police sirens were blasting throughout the nights.
Usually we keep our expectations low but we could not have expected this.
- Emma (1/5): Sad, Uninviting Space - Good location, very central if you are looking to stay on the East side. This flat is honestly nothing like the photos. It does the job if you are in a pinch, but it’s not a cozy, welcoming stay whatsoever. We live in London so are used to small, old spaces and don’t care about things like the amount of stairs etc (as mentioned lots previously), but honestly the space was just… sad. There is absolutely no love put into it, it feels like someone just threw together some of the cheapest, most uncomfortable furniture they could find and called it a day. Super uncomfortable couch and bed, barely enough toilet paper, dirty stained dishes, and some very sad decor (see duck tableware below). If you’re looking for an airbnb type deal where there is actually some love put into the place this is not it. Owner was also unresponsive to any inquiries.
- Martin (4/5): Stay at CoDalston - Close to transport, good size and clean Very noisy late/early hours, no balcony, only if you climbed out of a window onto a flat roof
- Emilio (1/5): Terrible expirience. - Nada. To whom it may concern,
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the room I was given. The listing is completely misleading, the actual size of the room does not match the photos shown on your website.
There is no wardrobe or space to hang clothes, and shockingly, not even a toilet seat in the bathroom. This is completely unacceptable for any accommodation.
To make matters worse, the constant loud noise from the extractor fan of the shop below makes it impossible to sleep or even hold a conversation when the window is open, something necessary during the summer heat.
Unless this issue is addressed and some form of compensation is offered, I will begin posting weekly reviews so others are made aware of the actual conditions. This situation is completely unacceptable and should not be ignored.

- Alina (9/5): Soggiorno top!
- ABRAHAM (7/5): Bien calidad precio - Tenia lavadora Poca calefacción
- anna (7/5): - Doccia pressoché inutilizzabile…
Non restava l’acqua calda per più di due minuti consecutivi..
- Kat VonTrapp (9/5): GREAT FLAT, GREAT LOCATION. - The convenience of location, it felt very private in the upper apartment. Bathroom was really well done. It was great to get some air on the balcony.
I'm going to stay there again this week, looking forward to it. I feel a television would be good. As I don't watch a lot at home, it's a treat when I'm away.
Definitely a couple of lamps needed for the living room. This is a common oversight in short term rental places.
Also, no washing machine but that's OK for a short stay.
Everything else was spot on.

- Ursula (7/5): good option for couples who want to explore the vibrant east - very good location, charming studio and good communication. I loved the little café Strelizia on the other side of the street and the vibrant area, although I recommend earplugs because you can hear the noise from the street and on the weekend the club next door. The only thing I did not like was the broken lock on the balcony door and that there was no extra lock when you enter the apartment. But all in all I was happy with the place :)
- Paul (8/5): -
- fabrizio (8/5): -
- Özgen (1/5): - There is no one that you can reach out if you have any question or problem! They basically send you a message for once at the begining and then gone. The building is like a horror house and the area doesn't feel safe. If you are a single guy, that might be working for you but not for the ladies that's for sure! Especially for that price, this was a complete dissapointment.
- Mousa-ATX (1/5): Avoid this place - Nothing Nothing as described on booking . Com. Smells bad, and not clean at all
- Margot (4/5): - Location It was a bit dusty and it needed some serious maintenance taps were little more than a trickle due to limescale etc
- rosetta (10/5): - The location and the room was very homely
- Jim (3/5): not a comfortable place to rest between outings or after a long day out. Only one chair. - The place was much smaller than the posted photos showed, the photos were very deceptive. The bed was very small for two people.
- Howat (10/5): Exceptional - The bed was so comfy! Everything is at your doorstep, as well as overground so close. The neighbourhood looks rough, but we didn’t have any issues at all, I would definitely come back to stay.
- Janet (5/5): We enjoyed our stay but struggled with the narrow stairs. - Good location for access to trains and buses It looked nothing like the picture and we would’ve liked to have known we would be on the third floor as there was no lift.
- Jessie (2/5): Renter beware! Read all the reviews before booking. - The location was good though beware of a Friday or Saturday night, the nightclub below is loud. The pictures on booking.com are highly misleading - there was a picture of the “room” we stayed in but it was amongst pictures of other options so it was unclear that unit 3, where we were staying, was so tiny. There was room (barely) for a double bed. There was a small desk with one chair if you needed to sit, but with two people and nowhere else to put them, we had to store the suitcases in front of the desk. There was a clothes bar, but only 3 hangars, and that was also the only place to hang towels to dry. The bedroom window could not be opened so it was hot and stuffy. There was no mention that it was a walk up (very steep narrow stairs). If our daughter did not live around the corner, it would have been dreadful - as it was, we used it to sleep and nothing else.
- Jacob (9/5): Superb - Very similar to the photos, clean, exactly what you need for a weekend gateway in London No closet but it’s really not important for a few days stay
- Angela (8/5): Very good - No internet
No tv
- Amanda (8/5): Very good - Very close to tube and buses, vibrant area. The noise of people trudging up the stairs past our room.
- Stylianos (5/5): Not too bad, but not good enough. - Location was good; internet was of good quality; hosts were overall helpful First of all it was 4th floor and not 3rd as communicated; once you open the apartment door there’s one more staircase waiting for you. No elevator, which didn’t help when we had to carry our luggage. Second, bathroom light was not working. Third, they only left us 2 towels, one of which also seemed stained with sth (or bleached, I can’t be sure). Fourth, the couch in the sitting room was not very accommodating. Fifth, there were cigarette butts at the balcony. Sixth, the overall quality of the building seemed a bit compromised.
- Kristen (1/5): Absolutely horrendous. Left immediately. - absolutely no redeeming qualities DO NOT STAY HERE.
I left after one night. Absolutely horrendous. Bathroom has visible mold, toilet has sewage smell, room
Is tiny, bed is uncomfortable, they leave you only one roll of toilet paper. The hallway leading up to the room is filthy. Additionally - the door on the street DOES NOT LOCK - only your room door does. I was incredibly worried about security. I could hear someone above me all hours of the night & woke me up multiple times
- Θανάσης (9/5): Great Area, Cozy Room – Worth It if It Fits Your Budget - The room was very cute—everything in it added a warm touch, making it feel incredibly cozy and comfortable. Plus, the underground is less than a 5-minute walk away, which is super convenient! Not having hot water after 10 pm was a bit of a letdown. Also, it would be great if each guest could have an extra small towel—it would make things even more convenient. That's all :)
- Roland (7/5): I enjoyed my stay - The area was really nice, public transportation was easily accesible, stores nearby and tons of cafes and restaurants. View to the street was also quite nice and you could see the skyscrapers as well which were very pretty at night. Check-in and check-out was very easy and information from the owner was clear. The street itself was safe though at night could get rowdy. Getting in contact with the owner felt impossible. We couldn't call them nor would they reply to emails or messages. At night police and ambulance sirens were quite annoying but not the owners fault :D. Bathroom was very small.
- G.12 (7/5): Good - Very convenient location to get to/from places around East London. I was pleasantly surprised that the room had more amenities than listed as it wasn't really clear from the description. Overall good by London standards; generally clean and comfortable for a short stay, especially solo. Might consider staying there again. As my room was at the back of the building, the noise from the nightclub or the street mentioned by others on reviews was less of a problem than I dreaded, though still noticeable, but with the takeaway food business downstairs, there were strong fried food smells from as early as 6am every day.
The flimsy lock on the door was also a little worrying.
Bad water pressure/temperature in the shower and not enough toilet paper for a longer stay.
- Tobias (7/5): Good - Location was very convenient since the friend I visited lived just 2min away. The apartment was clean and everything went as planned. On saturday evening there was incredibly loud music from a club next door, continued until 4 AM.
Water pressure in the shower could also be improved.
- Julie (5/5): Passable - The location. Old, not super clean, noisy, cramped, uncomfortable bed.
- Robert (1/5): Awful customer service. Charged me for a room I did not use. - Awful.
They told me they had cancelled my booking so I booked another hotel.
But then they wouldn't refund my original booking. So I had to pay and not use the hotel.
Customer service non existent.
- Lisa (6/5): Pleasant - It was clean and had decent wardrobe space It didn't match the photos on the listing. The flat was located on the top floor and there was no mention that there was no lift in the building. With many suitcases this was challenging especially after a long flight.
The property was above a nightclub and so it was difficult to sleep because of the noise.
- Kinton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Will (7/5): Good -
- Georgia (7/5): Convenient, clean & comfy - just lacking a few essentials. - Bed was comfortable & having a small kitchenette was handy. Location was good for catching buses and trains, and some excellent restaurants around. Check-in & check-out was simple. The studio is small but fine for one or two visitors, and very handy to have a desk for work-from-home-ers. Bathroom was good, shower was nice and warm! WiFi was very reliable. It was very warm but having a fan in the room was excellent and the windows all opened. Really could do with a few extra supplies - a drying rack or even a hand towel to dry off dishes once cleaned is very much needed. Toiletries are included (shampoo & conditioner) but having shower gel would be handy too. More toilet paper is needed for longer stays. Maybe some hooks on the wall in entrance to the studio for hanging jackets & coats, and a couple more clothes hangers on the clothes rail would be nice.
- Siqueira (5/5): Passable - Too noisy and it was too hot. Only a bad functioning fan available.
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - It was okay The bathroom wasn't clean, we had to clean it ourselves.
- Erdinc (1/5): Bad - No air-conditioning we couldn't sleep at all, Avoid in the summer.
Windows are so old it's like you are sleeping on the street ( would be good with double glazed windows)
If you are on top room no wireless connection reaches it.
Mattress was absolutely S......t you can fill the sprangs on your ribs.
- Lucy (1/5): DO NOT BOOK - Nothing about the host or the property. The only good thing was that the cleaner was there when we arrived so we were able to get in. And she put us in touch with the host who was not answering through booking.com or the provided contact number. She was then very sweet after the host made me cry. The host was uncontactable and did not send us the lock box code before we arrived at the location, we only managed to get inside the door of the building opened from the street by pushing it open from the street (felt super unsafe). We were very lucky that the cleaner was there and called the host for us, he was extremely rude and unhelpful. It was quite loud as it is next to a building site and poorly ventilated making it warm and stuffy even with the windows open and fan on.
- Kimberley (10/5): Great location - The location was brilliant to get to wireless festival and also concert at Tottenham hotspur. London attractions easily reached, right next to station. Great eateries in street.
- Ellie (4/5): Wouldn’t come and stay again due to the issues i dealt with. - comfy bed Room and shower was dirty in corners, skirting boards walls etc, no extra bin bags or washing up liquid etc, amenities were minimal, towel provided was stained, was a loud beeping noise that came from a meter box downstairs all throughout our third day stay into fourth. Lamp broke two days into the stay, bulb was flickering & eventually stopped working. Would suggest maybe getting a full length mirror put into the room compared to the black unit as the mirror on there was bent & not most practical. Felt unsafe due to front door into the apartment block was very unstable & didn’t seem to lock properly meaning people could enter the block if they pushed the door hard enough.
- Ashley (9/5): Everything you need for a stay in London. - Super great location right by the Overground. Clean and spacious and modern. Very nice neighbourhood with good food and bars. WiFi is a bit spotty. Need to climb up some stairs to get to flat. Can be a bit noisy at night when Cafe OTO has late events.
- Christopher (5/5): Convenient location but uncomfortable and overpriced - The location is convenient and a desirable part of the city The “double bed” was a 120cm, not comfortable for two people. There is no space in the apartment and no shelves or places to keep luggage clothes toiletries etc. there’s not enough space in the apartment for these to just be on the floor especially for two people. You hear everything from the street in the apartment and it’s a noisy area. Very uncomfortable stay for the price
- Hugh (8/5): Very good -
- Natascha (6/5): Good location, clean apartment but not too comfortable - It was very close to the Overground Station Dalston Junction and there are various supermarkets and restaurants right around the corner and even one below the flat, where you can order some burgers and ice cream. The apartment was clean. The flat door was unlocked at all times and therefore freely accessible to everyone. The air in the room was very stuffy, it was sometimes very warm and there was hardly any improvement even with all-day ventilation. I did not receive an answer to my enquiry as to whether there was a hairdryer in the accommodation, but there was one on site.
- Luiz (8/5): Very good - great location. clean and simple The front door lock wasn't really locking the door. it can be noisy at night as there's a pub in front of the window and lot's of buses passing on the street.
- Luiz (8/5): Very good -
- Nancy (7/5): Good place to stay and good price. Location was excellent for food and access to trains - Cleans and comfortable Needed dish soap, another roll of toilet paper, and better communication.
- Stijn (8/5): Very good -
- Francesca (10/5): Perfect accommodation - The flat is really nice, cosy and clean. It has everything that you need.
Perfect location for going out (restaurants, pubs, clubs) and well connected.
- Ruby (5/5): Disappointed - Easy self check in. Located above train station so easy to get around London. Where to begin… the shower had visible black mould, the towels were bleach stained, despite booking for 6 nights we were given 1 roll of toilet paper only (to be fair this was fixed promptly with a message to staff), the only chair was very dirty, surfaces had not been dusted. On our final day, the power went out - staff came to help and fix it but while there tried to blame me for the power outage and blame previous guests for the towel/chair/shower situation taking absolutely no responsibility for the fact that they didn’t check the property was cleaned to an appropriate standard before guests arrived. We made this issues known very early in our stay.
- Bence (6/5): Pleasant - The location was really great. The shower is covered with black mold. We stayed 4night and they left us with only one toiletpaper, thats so cheap. Hair everywhere. We tried to call the owner on our first day, but he didn't respond.
- Md (6/5): Pleasant -
- Aisha (10/5): Great location, clean & tidy - Clean & tidy was a great home away from home Slight sewage smell from the toilet
- Giorgos (9/5): Near the bus, overground. I suggest it !! -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Valeria (10/5): Beyond expectations, would definitely book again! - I loved the coziness of the place and the intelligent disposal of the furniture. Very clean, very warm, conveniently close to nice neighborhoods and with easy public transportation access to get basically anywhere in London. A true bargain!
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional -
- Udroiu (10/5): Exceptional - We had bus station and underground very close, it was a big bonus for us. The room was cosy and warm. We also had a lot of facilities like iron, fridge and cooker. If we are visiting london again, we are 100% booking the CoDalston again. The room was big enough for us and our luggage. I liked it very much and I was surprised of the price. Also, the checkin was very practical, because we didn’t had to be at the property at a fixed hour. Because of the reviews, we were afraid of the noises, and yes, you can kinda hear everything from the outside, but the town is pretty chill at night and we were very tired from visiting, so we slept without any problem.
- Danny (10/5): Exceptional - The location, the comfort and the place are 10. I don't understand why the bad reviews are coming back for sure.
- Michael (7/5): Good - Location was very good. Bit ran down inside before you get to your room.
- Olivia (8/5): Very good - Great price and amazing location. The facilities were clean, great value for money! A little smalll and the owner was hard to reach p
- Manca (8/5): Very good -
- Michela (6/5): Pleasant -
- Leonie (9/5): Superb -
- David (4/5): Uncomfortable for more than 1 person, horrible wifi connection - Self service check in, clean - they provided only 1 toilet paper roll for a 5 day stay
- bed and pillows are uncomfortable and provide back and neck pain after 5 days
- really small space, reasonable for 1 person, uncomfortable for 2
- the most horrible wifi connection
- Mrs (10/5): Nice place with a good location, and also a nice view - It has a small kitchen, comfy and nice place The only thing I don’t like is that there was no tv in the property
- Anisah (5/5): Passable -
- David (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ashish (9/5): Superb -
- Alison (6/5): Pleasant -
- Veljko (1/5): never again - 1. Lots of hair on the sheets. Possibly not washed from last visit.
2. They market that the room is 40m2. The room is 20m2.
3. The toilet was very small and there were big problems with the shower. The shower only had very hot water. It was not possible to shower because the water was so hot that it was not possible to take a shower. The owner was unable to fix this for us in 3 days. We reported the problem straight away, it was not fixed during our stay. Pretty bad customer service
- Carlotta (5/5): Passable -
- Lautaro (3/5): Poor - Location was ok Unit is smaller that it appears. Communication with the host was poor and could be improved.
- Abbie (7/5): Good -
- Alice (8/5): Very good - Everything was perfect.
- Ktek (9/5): Furnished very nicely, convenient location. Would happily stay again. - Great to get into the city for work, very comfortable and kitchen area was well equipt Room was at the front (overlooking Dalston high street) loud at times, in future would request room to rear.
- Melissa (7/5): Great price for the location - Great location, clean and simple like in the pictures. Check in was easy! The co-working space downstairs was great. The street outside was extremely noisy. No air conditioning during a heatwave. Wifi was spotty at times.
