- Ema (8/5): Very good - Location was perfect Very noisy
- Circe927 (9/5): A sweet apartment in a real neighborhood--with a great host! - The apartment was very clean and had all we needed for light meals, morning coffee, hanging out, sleeping. The bathroom was immaculate, and the shower was awesome. Ersilia was a fantastic, attentive host. She arranged taxis for us twice, and had lots of helpful advice. We chose the place for its proximity to the archeological museum. In the same area were some lovely small restaurants. Across from our apt. was a small grocery store, which had what we needed, and a fruit/veg shop was just below us. Great pizza was in easy walking distance. I'd just advise that you have to accept Naples for what it is: a big, bustling, enthusiastic city with lots of traffic, and neighborhoods where people live their lives and don't think about the tourists. So, the apt. is in a neighborhood, and you'll hear the guy on the moped who makes deliveries every few hours, singing opera. The kids will come home from school and play in the street. Neighbors will do the passiegiata before dinner. By 9 or so it calms down and you can sleep very comfortably; but in the morning, people will be up early and going about their business. If you need lots of quiet around you, then you'll need to bring earplugs or white noise. The place is totally worth the effort!
- Mabon (9/5): Superb -
- Qusay (8/5): Very good - Nicely furnished and renovated apartment with enough space for up to four people. Kitchen very well equipped. Coffee and tea as well as dry toast and jam were provided. The coffee was much appreciated. Early check in was no problem. 2 ACs in the apartment were perfect. Theres even a washing machine and a dish washer. The apartment is in the 1st floor if an old building with low windows, it was quite dark. The cleanliness of the place was really not great. Microwave had dry tomato sauce splashes all over, the shower somewhat moldy, some spider webs here and there. I'm not sure if smoke alarms are mandatory in Naples but the one in the apartment just layed on top of the microwave with no batteries in it.
Communication was just ok but not great. The city tax that was asked for at arrival was more than what was given on booking, but we didn't agree to give the extra money asked.
Location is so so. It is close to the historical city center, but it's still a 15 minute walk. The next metro is not right around the corner either. I've stayed in better in Naples.
All in all a good apartment but with caveats.
