Guest Reviews
- Colin (9/5): 10 minute walk to loads of restaurants and 20 mins to Circular Quay. Perfect - Breakfast was not included but the facilities for my own cooking were good Stairs. 68 years old, luggage and stairs are not a good combination. Also, not enough plug outlets. The easiest place to work was the kitchen counter which was not ideal
- Annie Love (2/5): It was ok, buy it seems like we dont want to stay in the accomodation to relax. we can also hear the noise from the peop - The sheets are not clean and the hot water is gone, no aircondition, towels doesn’t smell clean. The sheets are not clean and the hot water is gone, no aircondition
- Crick (8/5): - No air conditioner and was not told of the building site next door so had to keep unit shut because of dust
- Stephen (7/5): Great location to enjoy and explore Sydney. Highly recommend - Online Property was very clean and great location however there wasn’t any details about the building works taking place behind the building.
- Kailey (4/5): - Great location and communication with owner was great Few negatives on this property, no hot water the first night so was unable to shower comfortably.
The no aircon is hard, especially in summer
Was no advised the view of the balcony is a construction site, wasnt the cleanest place
- Vee (10/5): - Fantastic clean spacious and great location Loved everything
- Candice (5/5): Facilities nice and modern but not enjoyable for sleeping. - The place was well renovated inside and modern clean facilities. Short walk to The Rocks. Blind in bedroom didn’t work and window rattled all night in the wind. Cockroache traps all over apartment as there occasionally was some. TV remote didn’t work.
- Therese (1/5): - Nothing Bed cheap bed and couch filthy
- Angela (1/5): I wouldn't stay here again and don't recommend you do. - The location was good except for it being in a construction zone The apartment is literally on a construction site. The only windows in the unit look straight out in to a monster of a hole being dug up. Construction starts just after 7am Monday to Saturday. You walk up in the morning feeling like boulders are being dropped next to the bed or someone is using a jackhammer in the bedroom and it goes all day long. Mentioned to the host and the response was "It is in the listing that there is construction next to the property that's why you got a reduced rate". $300+ per night for the pleasure of sleeping next to a building site. The only mention of the construction is in the legals page. One sentence in amongst other content. You have to be looking for it to find it.
- Iresha (8/5): - Would have been good to know about the constuction, as I stayed din the apartment quite a bit to work.
- Edward (9/5): - Gabriel's communication was very good and responded in a timely fashion. Location was walking distance to everything.
- Dianne (8/5): Enjoyed it as I was able to have good walks - N/a Nothing
- Ernie (8/5): -
- sally (7/5): - Great location
Close to cafes, transport, and great walks- Barangaroo
Spacious and clean.
Easy check in and out
Felt safe Were not advised re construction sites directly in front of balcony which meant we could not/ did not sit outside. Building works at church accross road started at 7am. Were we advised of this we would not have chosen this accommodation.
- Lan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (8/5): Very good - Place was great, and cozy.
- Liana (8/5): Little home away from home - The location was really lovely in the Rocks area. It was a a 10 minute walk to Circular Quay which connects you to the train, light rail and ferries as well as plenty of restaurants and shops looking out at the Harbour bridge and Opera House. The house was equipped with a kitchen and small dining table with two chairs. This was suitable for my partner and I who stayed for 5 days as we were able to cook breakfast every morning or store other food and snacks. The living room came with a TV that used antenna and a sofa. The bedroom had a closet with sufficient enough storage. The appartment is located on the second floor so you will need a bit of strength to carry your belongings up two flights of stairs. This appartment did not have a mind blowing view as the windows pointed towards another house but personally we were not spending the whole day looking out the window anyways. The natural lighting was really lovely though.
I did really appreciate the host's hospitality. I found that the instructions and information regarding the property where shared in a timely manner and were very detailed and easy to follow. The host was very friendly and easy to communicate with :) It would have been nice if the TV was a smart TV which allowed the use of streaming services. The bed was quite firm but personally it did not effect the quality of my sleep. The bathroom does not have any counters so the only storage space is under the sink; we ended up utalising the washing machine as a counter space alternative. The seal on the bottom of the shower was also broken so the shower screen wobbled a bit.
The appartment does not have an air conditioning unit. It did come with a large stand up fan and a small little fan which my partner and I would move between the bedroom and living room and we did spot a small heater that was stored in one of the cabinets. We stayed in February where it averaged around 28 degrees celcius. Fortunately sitting in front of the fan was enough to cool us down but I can imagine on hotter days a fan might not be enough.
The lock for the main entrance would automatically lock super quickly which would then cause the main entrance door to not close at all or set off the lock alarm off. If it is possible to change the timing of the lock to allow for a couple extra seconds to get through before the lock starts turning would have been great, especially as guests are bringing in their belongings one by one.
- Alanah (8/5): Overall an enjoyable stay. - Great location, clean and spacious apartment. As there is no heating, an extra blanket would have been nice for cool nights.
- Liz (8/5): Old but well kept apartment. Very roomy and so close to the Rocks and Circular Quay. - Close to the old centre of Sydney. Easy to get to ferries and trains. Carrying bags up 2 floors. Being kept out of the apartment till 3pm when we arrived in the city about 10am. More direct communication with the host is needed.
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Janelle (9/5): Superb - The convenient location to our work site, the size of the apartment and the range of devices available in the apartment. The stair climb with all our luggage, baby and pram :)
- Sonia (8/5): Very good - Great location, clean and bright. There was no air conditioner and the fans provided didn’t have a cord long enough to place ithem in a useful position.
- Matt (7/5): Good - Location. Having to provide 2 forms of ID for all guests was excessive.
- Tony (8/5): Very good - Location missing Kitchen utensils.
Dirty windows
- Amanda (5/5): Passable - it was cosy it was freezing cold and so far away from everything.
