Guest Reviews
- Jane (8/5): Excellent location and pretty good amenities in the room. - Great views and excellent location. Street noise on Friday and Saturday nights was horrendous - difficult to sleep. There were insufficient towels (only 2 provided) and no flannels. Insufficient soap in bathroom and we ran out of toilet paper (on last day). Also didn't like how reception would not store our luggage for a few hours after checkout.

- Mary (10/5): -
- John (4/5): - The location and the upstairs pool Cleanliness (we found a cocroach on our first morning), as this is a privately owned apartment, the staff are very unhelpful. The images shown on the booking show the property to be bigger and clearer than it is. We also found rust on one of the pans that we wanted to use, and marked towels and sheets.
- Hannelore (7/5): -
- Cristina (9/5): - Location and view from window. Thai restaurant on ground floor was excellent!
- Katie (7/5): - Good location city wise. Not gate noise wise form the locals in the park at night. Noise from the park at night.
- Chloe (8/5): -
- Zion (10/5): The pool and view was amazing - Everything was great worked well for my family sun rise and set was amazing The towel and toilet paper didn't match up with how many days we were there. We were supplied with more towels which was great but didn't want to ask for more toilet paper after they had already dropped off.
- Jonathan (10/5): -
- Andy Heejung (9/5): - 위치 가격 소음
- Kiran (5/5): Okay - Access to public transportation Was Okay
- Julia (8/5): Perfect location ! - Perfect location! Walking distance to everywhere! More washing up liquid and washing detergent would have been nice .
- Cassie (7/5): Good - Great location with beautiful park across the road Old and quite rundown, tiny bathroom
- Marjorie (8/5): Very good -
- Vic (8/5): Pretty good all round. - Central location to the city and public transport. City and Hyde park view. Washing machine Minor issue but the shower curtain was bulky and made of a material that got in the way while showering.
- Morena (8/5): Very good -
- Uditha (10/5): Exceptional - It's clean and spacious. Walking distance to most attractions. Front counter staff is very friendly kind and helpful. Beautiful city view. Highly recommend
- Carina (7/5): Good - Property was is a great location!
- Martin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Julia (8/5): We still enjoyed our stay as location was excellent - Location was excellent. Great facilities in building I.e. lovely pool and spa area although we didn’t use them. Good aircon. Bare necessities, I.e 4 teabags and coffee sachets, no milk, not even powdered. No salt and pepper. Missing cups and plates. One saucepan unusuable. Rusted. Have never experienced an Airbnb like this anywhere in the world. Sheets too small for bed. Not fitted. Thin stained doona not even in doona cover but placed between 2 sheets that didn’t fit bed. Windows didn’t shut as catch is broken and held together with a piece of wire which blew off onto the outside ledge. Settee collapsing.
- Cathy (8/5): Very good - Location good Not a good bed....it was abit dated...and there was a musty smell.
- Nathan (10/5): Exceptional - How close it was to everything. The cleanliness. Needed more toilet paper
- Giang (7/5): Good - The location was GREAT. Looking down from the window & we can see a beautiful park. The apartment was clean, there's full amenities. The check in was smooth & easy. There's also a pool at the top of the building if anyone want to swim. I'd give the apartment a solid 8 if not for: (1) the pots & pans in the kitchen were UNUSABLE. They're all broken & dirtied, please replace them asap. We wanted to cook but could only use the microwave because of this. If we didn't want to cook then we wouldn't choose an apartment with a kitchen. (2) The sound of the aircon can be loud at times, but if you don't mind background noises then it would not be a problem. (3) I recommend putting a hanger on the door in the bathroom, it'll be so much more convenient when using the bathroom.
- Darryl (8/5): Enjoyable. - The location. All good.
- Rahadian (2/5): Not as we expected. - I booked for 4 adults but they provide only 1 king size bed.
- Alanafd (7/5): Good value for money, for a weeks stay and location was good - Didn't receive a breakfast Aircon was very loud. Duvet didn't have a duvet cover and the mattress didn't have a fitted sheet, only a flat sheet.
- Mileah (5/5): Passable - Good location for sightseeing The bathroom floor needed a proper clean, lots of dirt on corner tiles, made the bath mat filthy. The tiles had a lot of mould and the bottom of the shower curtain was filthy too. One of the windows in the kitchen had a broken lock, so it wouldn't shut, let heat & road noise in. Also the air-conditioner was extremely loud.
- Julie (6/5): Pleasant - The location was great The bathroom needs a proper clean
- Reza (10/5): Exceptional - The location is very good, between Opera House and China Town... Close to everything.
The fitness area and swimming pool are amazing. Some details in the room, but what we can say.. It is old apartment... The aircon bit leaking but they fix it right away after we report it
- Rafael (1/5): Never will I go back there. - Location Unpleasant smell on arrival. Aircon dripping. Cockroaches in the bathroom.
- Helen (3/5): Poor - The location, laundry facilities, swimming pool and gym are really the only things going for this place. I don't normally write reviews however I was very disappointed with this place.
• The air con leaked excessively, needed several towels to mop up every day (had to put kitchen bin under main drips and empty every hour so it didn't overflow)and it wasn't particularly cool.
• No air con in the bedroom
• Fridge leaked water out the bottom.
• Window lock broken in kitchenette and couldn't be closed.
• Main light didn't work and several smaller ones missing bulbs.
• Extremely noisy, even though on the 9th floor we could hear people on the street as well as the traffic and needed ear plugs to sleep.
• Thin walls could hear people from neighbouring appartments.
• Not particularly clean and mould on the bathroom ceiling and floor.
• Very tiny especially the bathroom, the appartment is not really suitable for more than 1 person.
• No room for suitcases so constantly tripping over them, the only cupboard was full with picture frames, heaters, umbrellas etc.
• Not enough dishes (some were chipped), cutlery etc.
• Rusty inside saucepan.
• Had to make up sofa bed ourselves even though the booking was for 3 people.
• Sheets were to small for the main bed and barely covered the mattress, I had to keep remaking the bed everytime I turned over in the night other wise I would be sleeping on the bare mattress.
• Mattress was stained and sheets had holes in them.
• Private appartment in complex so we couldn't use any of the services available to the other appartments e.g. replenish consumables, more towels, luggage storage etc.
- Sheree (5/5): Good location - no breakfast option we were not permitted to leave bags at reception after check-out which was disappointing.
- Jill (8/5): Very good - good location, good park city viewshaft the perfume at the lobby is way too strong - gave me a headache everytime I entered in
- Tanika (6/5): Pleasant - It was in a prime location It was very bare minimum,
- Jeremy (8/5): Very good - Location is great and was good value for a place a family could stay. Spa and pool had great views from the roof It is small, so fitting four people in is tight but you aren’t staying here to enjoy your hotel room.
- Sophia (7/5): Good -
- Kelly (8/5): Thank you just what we were after - Location
Ease of access Needed more blankets for beds
Got a bit cold
- Grace (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Megan (10/5): Great stay for my trip. I was very comfortable & the check in at the property was easy. - Easy to find for first timer to Sydney & comfortable apartment. The kettle wouldn’t work.
- Buckley (7/5): Good -
- Laboni (5/5): Passable -
- Rafael (9/5): Superb -
- Ann (9/5): Would recommend this property to others -
- Mei (7/5): Good - Strategic location Not enough bed for 4 adults
- Jochems (8/5): Very good - Great location good facilities Noisy from the traffic could do with double glazing to block out traffic noise
- Graham (3/5): Location was great. - Not a lot other than location. Grubby
- Dion (5/5): Passable -
- Leon (6/5): great location , pleasant views -
- Sylvia (2/5): Never go back there again. - Very nice swimming pool view. Very dirty, specially in the toilet and stained mouldy bathtub, shower curtain was mouldy. The Aircon was noisy and leaking, no aircon in the bedroom. Nice view but the windows are old and dirty. Cheap wooden chairs in the dining are not safe to use.
- Derrick (1/5): This host cancelled on me and booking.com did not notify me, I was shocked and left stranded. -
- Jamie (7/5): Good -
- Tan (4/5): Can’t get a good sleep - Location Beddings were bad
- Isabell (5/5): Passable - Located walking distance to Museum and train station. Excellent pool facilities. Room wasn't cleaned properly. The sofa bed wasn't functional. The spa wasn't working.
- Dione (5/5): Passable - Gym was modern and well equipped. The location was good. Only 5 minute walk to station. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was modern Couch very uncomfortable. The whole apartment seemed dirty and furnishings and furniture very outdated. Even though on 9th floor it was very noisy with street traffic. Even saw cockroaches in apartment. The staff were unfriendly and not at all helpful.
- Anonymous (1/5): Bad - Only location Sofa bed was not gud ….it was almost going to broken
- Sam (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (7/5): Would use the apartment again, would just like to see an upgrade of some of the furniture. - Fantastic location, great for all Sydney attractions and easy to get to good restaurants. Had everything you need in the kitchen for a quick stay. Also great apartment facilities, pool, gym and spa. The pull out sofa bed was very uncomfortable and when used as a sofa it sank, making sitting also very uncomfortable. The Dining chairs started to come apart, time for an upgrade.
- Hannah (8/5): We were visiting for two nights from NZ showing our teenage son the sights. - The location of the property was ideal, not far from anything. We liked the rooftop pool and spa and the free wifi. The pull out sofa bed was hard and uncomfortable.
- Kath (7/5): Good - The location was excellent. The rooftop pool was convenient. The sofa bed was uncomfortable.
- Carole (1/5): Do not book this apartment it is disgusting - Nothing it was an absolute disgrace how you can rent this out in this state is beyond me and charge the prices you do It wasn’t clean
The so called sofa bed to accommodate 2 people was atrocious seriously needs sorting out
Ironing board is dangerous put any pressures on it it collapsed
The bathroom was dirty and mouldy
The windows was disgraceful
- Kenny (9/5): Superb -
- Barbara (5/5): It was okay. - It is in a very good location. Very convenient. It did not have a good clean. In general, it was organized but it had a lot of dust and the bathroom looked was never cleaned.
The bathroom was dusty with hair on the floor and into the bath also still a few bottles of shampoo used on top of the sink. It was reserved to accommodate 3 people but the place only has one bed. What was supposed to be a Sofa bed is only a normal couch very small, old and very uncomfortable to be used for someone sleeping.
I recommend to maybe replace the couch for a reasonable sofa bed or just advertising it is for maximum two people.
- Margaret (3/5): Great location, shame about the dingy apartment - location St Vincent de Paul furniture, uncomfortable and rickety table, shabby paint work, unclean toilet (visible), broken windows (fix them and replace with sound proof double-glazing), no dish washer (unsure of cleanliness of plates a cutlery)
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Basic but has everything necessary for our stay. There too pool, jacuzzi and gym were a real bonus. The corridors were a little grubby.
- Marsden (1/5): This apartment does not look anything like the photos. The apartment was dirty and dated. - The only positive aspect of this apartment is the location. On Hyde Park and walking distance to Sydney CBD and transport options. This apartment does not look anything like the photos. I would not have booked this apartment if I had see it beforehand. The whole apartment needs updating and cleaning. The walls are dirty and need repainting. The window sills are chipped and cracked. The windows have cracks in them. No lightbulbs in bed side lamps. Sofa/lounge needs replacing, you fall in to the hole in the middle when you sit in it and can't get out - from other reviews the owner would know this already but I can only assume they don't care. The table in the kitchen is chipped and stained. The chairs don't match and have stains. The kitchen is actually ok though I wouldn't be game to use it based on the overall dirty nature of the apartment. The ironing board couldn't take the weight of the iron so we had to put it on the kitchen bench to iron. The bath needs replacing or updating as the paint has chipped off. No soap dish or anywhere to put your soap. Air vents filthy. Whole building is awful. $580 for two nights does not reflect this apartment. The only positive was the view and the location and the sink in the bathroom which looked new. We wondered how an apartment could show photos that are so far from what we experienced. My photos do not show how dirty and old this apartment is. My error was making this booking without reading the reviews (not something I usually do). Read all reviews prior to making a choice to book.
- Amila (7/5): Good -
- Karen (7/5): Good -
- Rhiannon (5/5): Average - The roof top pool, spa & sauna were beautiful The fold out sofa bed was terrible & the shower tiles were extremely mouldy
- Guiver (8/5): Very good -
- Stacie (4/5): Disappointing - The location and the view was amazing. The sofa bed is not suitable to sleep on. Had to purchase a blow up mattress. Needs replacing. The bathroom was dirty and need a clean from mould.
- Marcela (5/5): Only got 2 toilet paper rolls, 1 of each mini toiletries shampoo, soap and conditioner, a 100ml box of milk and 4 coffee - Super well located!!! Spa and pool really good!!! Only got 2 toilet paper rolls, 1 of each mini toiletries shampoo, soap and conditioner, a 100ml box of milk and 4 coffee sachets for a 5days stay for 4 people. Host never replied back. Sofabed is terribly uncomfortable. Shower was disgusting 🤮 Not even a pan to cook some eggs. Not a place for 4. Reception wasn’t able to keep our bags for 2 hrs.
- Yeshey (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jamie (9/5): Superb - Good location Lack of toiletries
- Saurin (5/5): Uncomfortable but can be better if done some modifications. - Location, view, pool, spa, gym. Glass windows were dirty, bathroom was too small, sofa bed was too rusty and making squeaky sound, Heater was too noisy. Even from 9th floor the road traffic was clearly heard due to poor sound insulation.
- Lamprell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ben (4/5): So much potential but needs maintenance/uplift. - The facilities of the hotel were great. The gym, pool and spa were really nice. The location was super central and accessible to trains, buses and food. Inside the room the bathroom and renovated kitchen had potential. The master bedroom was comfortable. Communication between the host and myself was great. The apartment was very dirty. The air vents cycling the aircon were clogged with dust along with everything else in the apartment.. The kitchen cookware is all rounded at the bottom so making any food was impossible without burning it black. The fridge leaks, so every morning we woke up and had to mop up water. The pull out couch mattress is completely sunken in the middle so you are sleeping in a hole with a bar across the middle of your back and covered in hair. All of this could easily be fixed as the apartment has so much potential to be an amazing budget accommodation. It just needs maintenance and cleaning.
- Huiyan (7/5): The location was really good. - The location was really good and the kitchen was really handy.
The receptionist was really nice and helpful even though this apartment was looked after by a property management. When we booked this hotel, we didn't know this apartment was looked after by a property management.
We have booked 4 nights of stay, but they didn't provide enough washing products for shower. When we ask the receptionist, they advised us to contact the property management.
- Deb (3/5): A perfectly located property which could do with some money spent on it to replace old and dated furniture and fittings. - The location was perfect, so close to Hyde Park and Museum train station. This made accessing the airport, the heart of the city and Circular Quay very easy. The apartment is a good size for two people. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The view from the windows would have been nicer if the windows were actually clean and not covered in tape over the obvious cracks. The sofa was very uncomfortable and had small tears in the fabric. It really should be replaced immediately. The pillows also need replacing and they were somewhat lumpy. The fridge leaked water at the bottom and both the frying pans provided were peeling which made using them very distasteful. The hot tap fell off in the shower a couple of times and the bathroom sink plug did not work.
- Susan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lillyraine (1/5): Bad - Waiting 2 hours at 10 pm to check in because it wasn’t cleaned
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Bilaval (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (4/5): Darlinghurst Disappointment - The location was great. Kitchen & bathroom facilities were very good. Very noisy from rd & st noise even though we were on 9th floor. Heatpump was old & noisy, too loud to have on whilst in the apartment. Needs new bed, uncomfortable & when one moved the bed jerks, tossing the other person around. TV screen was streaked with grime. No remote. Finally found when bed settee was pulled open - found underneath.
- Margot (6/5): Pleasant - Very pleasant stay. The mattress of the sofa bed deserves to be changed.
- Princess (1/5): staff are nasty and doesn’t have heart, and the host raising his voice when i am asking how his facilities - nothing no parking space host does’t have honesty about parking space, room is full of dust and elevator had a lot of dust,
- David (8/5): great location - the location and size of the apartment the only downfall was the pull out sofa needed and urgent upgrade. but for the kids it was bearable
- Jennifer (5/5): Passable - close to city
- Kseniia (5/5): insect in bathroom - Location is greate, facilities are wonderful as well. The view is amazing. Was dust on Windows, conditioner, bathroom, even on remote control and giant cockroach in bathroom 🥴 Also the sheet Was as sandpaper very uncomfortable but at least clean.
- Jess (6/5): Pleasant -
- Pierre (9/5): Superb - Great location and easy access to everywhere. Comfortable apartment and was a great place to stay. Had arranged an early check-in and confirmed via email but when we arrived we had to wait for about an hour and a half to get access to the room with no real communication. Apart from this everything was smooth.
- Tiramasu (7/5): convenience - Mould and dusty got Asthma.
- Debbie (7/5): Good -
- Serena (7/5): Great location for short stay - Loved the location- perfect for a short stay in Sydney with the park across the road and a short walk into the heart of the city- it was lovely conditions to be able to walk everywhere on the beautiful winter days we experienced. The apartment, while small, was a great size for 2 people.
Very comfortable bed in the bedroom.
Good basic kitchen if wanting to eat in. If planning on using the lounge as an extra bed, it needs replacing. When booking the accomodation it states will allow for up to 4 people- while it was perfect for 2 adults on a short stay, it is a very small apartment. I had indicated that it would be 2 friends sleeping separately but not sure if that message reached the owners of the apartment as there were no sheets for the sofa bed or extra blankets or quilts. We were so tired after big days and nights that it wasnt too much of an issue, but I imagine not everybody would be as relaxed as we are sleeping on an old sofa bed with an old mattress topper that had seen better days.
It was quite noisy at night due to work being done directly outside, but again as our days and evenings were full and we were exhausted we managed to sleep through it all at night.
- Tracey (8/5): Awesome! - The location was fantastic for proximity to the city, the views over Hyde park were amazing. The size of the apartment was amazing and the facilities were excellent. The bathroom was functional but could certainly do with a bit of a renovation ( I assume the owner is slowly refurbishing the apartment as the kitchen was beautiful and looked brand new) whilst the bathroom could do with some love, as the bath tub is very worn and has a lot of marks ( still clean just obviously well worn )
The washing machine was fantastic as it meant I could do a quick wash on some clothes that I wore for the run. I would definitely book this apartment again, hopefully in warmer weather to take advantage of the great pool. Overall I will most certainly reccomend this to my family and friends to stay at. It took a little while for me to get the keys as I had arranged to get a bit earlier check in at 1.00pm. The reception staff were helpful but as it wasn't their apartment I had to call another number, I spoke to Peter ( I think? ) he was lovely and helpful and quickly rang the cleaner to bring the keys down- very prompt and efficient. Thank you. As I said earlier, the bathroom is a little tired looking and could do with some love, but the hot water was fantastic the facilities clean also. The shower curtain could possibly do with a new one too as the one at present does have a little bit of mould and discolouration on the bottom. The only other small thing at a stretch was the bed was comfortable for one or two nights but became a little hard by the second-third night. A simple mattress topper would make it super comfortable.
