• Karen (9/5): Lovely location, staff helpful on arrival and when we had an issue with the boiler. Would definitely recommend - The location is fantastic. The decor is in keeping with the period property and the beds were comfy As others have mentioned, the stairs are very steep. Top tip - we took our suitcases down empty and packed them at the bottom to save struggling with the weight on the narrow staircase
• Valerie (6/5): Without the plumbing issues, the flat would have rated excellent for its character and location. - The property was very well located for St. Mark's Square and other Venice attractions. The accommodation was full of character and well suited to our group. The day after we arrived, we found water leaking through the ceiling of the upper landing. This was from the boiler on the top floor but the host insisted that it was from the bath situated below the leak. He also suggested that the bath should not be used and that all seven of us should use the shower. We would not have rented the accommodation if it had only one shower/ bath. A day later, we used the dishwasher and found that it leaked on the kitchen floor. There were some other minor issues such as only one rubbish bin for accommodation over three floors and the toilet paper ran out before we finished our stay.

• Jeanette (9/5): Place is nice but has many stairs. - Easy walk to St. Mark’s. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. High stairs can be difficult for people with bad knees and back. The property has 3 floors.

• Arnold (7/5): Nice three bedroom apartment at a good location. - This is a nice three bedroom apartment at a very convenient location in the old center of Venice. The three bedrooms each have a good double bed and air conditioning. There are two bathrooms, but only one has a shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washing machine. Giulia was very friendly to welcome us. This apartment has a fourth bedroom, but this is very small, has no air conditioning and only a small and narrow single bed. One of us had to book a room in a nearby hotel because this “fourth bedroom” was not suited at all for an adult. The apartment was clean, but some parts of the shower, the lightings and cupboards were broken. It needs better maintenance. The apartment is well located but the main entrance is next to a public toilet.
• Brian (10/5): Home away from home in Venice - This is a great place to stay in Venice. A few minutes walk to San Marco, where you can see the Basilica and Doge’s place as well as catch a water taxi or gondola. Marcello was in contact weeks before we stayed to help us with necessary paperwork to stay in Venice, as well as suggesting restaurants and activities. He can even arrange a water taxi for you. Giulia is your in house contact. She showed us around the property and was available for any questions. I highly recommend this property because of its location and wonderful staff. Nothing

The location was excellent, just a few minutes walk from Piazza San Marco in a lovely square with restaurants and shops. Marcello looked after us really well ordering a water taxi for us and we were met by the lovely Valentina to show us the Apt. We loved our stay. There are a lot of steps to the top floor. My 83 year mother was with us but thankfully there were 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and the living area on the main floor so she managed fine. It wasn't really an issue and the charm of the apartment was worth it.

Great location and only a 5 minute walk to St Marks Square. We had lots of recommendations sent prior to staying which was really useful! Issue with water leaking from the upstairs bathroom meaning we couldn’t use the shower for one of the nights. Also, could do with providing more toilet rolls as there was only 2 for a party of 7 and we had to go out and buy more

• Stephen (10/5): Intriguing, lively and energising adventure! - Good position and beautifully appointed appartment. Ideal for visiting all the points of interest in Venice or catching a vaporetti to the Lido or one of the islands in the lagoon. It is situated near a public convenience and therefore the odd inquisitive tourist tried to enter the apartment rather than go to the loo. We also had problems with hot water for showers etc, which was partly resolved after 48 hours.

The owner/operator was very accommodating. Arrangements were made for taxi transport. Restaurant and attractions/sightseeing were recommended. The weather LOL But it really wasn't that rainy.

Tastefully furnished, ancient beams, everything you could need and in a super location, minutes away from St. Marks Square. Marcello our contact was more than helpful. He gave us lots of recommendations, booked a water taxi for us & answered all our questions....and we had a lot! Terrace furniture needs refreshing with a couple more chairs.
• Jackie (10/5): Friends trip - This apartment is stunning, the decor is beautifully done, had everything we needed and the location was perfect, 2 minutes walk to St Marks Square. Marcello met us at the apartment and gave us some really useful Information he also booked our water taxi from the airport, perfect host.

• Phil (9/5): Excellent stay in the heart of Venice. Highly Recommended!! - Super accommodation right in the heart of Venice. We could not have wished for more. Would stay there again anytime. Highly recommended. Not immediately easy to find on Google maps but if you aim for the ‘Ponte de Canonica’ bridge (which is also a perfect drop off/ pick up point for your water taxi), and then onto ‘Rughetta S. Apollonia’ and it’s down a narrow alley on the first left (sign posted WC). The accommodation is the only door on the left. There was also a key for everyone in our party which was ideal. Once the wooden shutters at the windows were closed at night the rooms were very quiet. There was also hot water even after everyone had showered. The owner and his son were excellent hosts. Best contact was through ‘WhatsApp’ which allowed us to keep in touch with any updates and delays. Photo attached is from the balcony at night. I could not find any smoke alarms on any floors.

• Kerstin (9/5): Lovely stay right in the middle of Venice - Lovely apartment, well equipped with sufficient space for 7 people. It is located centrally, very close to San Marco’s place with good connection to the Vaporetto, so that you can easily get anywhere in Venice. There is a steep staircase in the apartment, not at all a problem, but might be a bit difficult for elderly people.
• Sari (10/5): Exceptional - We really like the apartment. It was spacious, clean and beautiful. The roof terrace was nice to spend time and chat. Location is very central even though we got lost at arrival. You just have to get the next bridge (Ponte della Canonica) from the Bridge of Sighs (Ponte dei Sospiri) walk some tens of meters and turn left. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend the apartment.
