• Abdul hakeem (1/5): It was the worst experience I’ve ever had. Horrible staff. - Nothing. Like there is nothing positive when you start off with a negative which was the wrong location for the unit. The unit was in the wrong location on the map. The bathrooms were extremely small. The showers were extremely small. The family room couch. The leather was peeling off everywhere.
• Fátima Espada (5/5): Desagradável - Os colchões eram muito fofos e as almofadas também e o apartamento também era giro a localização excelente. Os móveis estavam um pouco denaficados nos quartos,as paredes sujas e o que me mais mais me desiludiu foi o cheiro a fritos (peixe)que havia dentro do apartamento quando se entrava á noite é horrível.. Deve haver alguma restante por baixo não sei. Foi bastante desagradável.

• Roseanna (7/5): - The location was conveniently located near the train station and water bus stops as well as good restaurants. It was dirty. The floors and furniture were dusty, the closets had broken appliance pieces and piles of tangled and broken hangers. The sheets did not fit the mattresses, and they slipped off throughout the night. We were staying with another couple, but they would not provide a second set of keys which was very inconvenient.

La vista pero se cerraban los postigos de la ventana y porque una de las ventanas del dormitorio que da al canal no se podía abrir.. • Cox (9/5): Love our stay. Venice was beautiful and this was a perfect place to stay and explore. - We were very appreciative. For our first time staying in Venice this was a perfect spot. We had an early flight out the morning we left and so being close to the bus station was great. Also close to the train station made it an easy walk on arrival. The apartment was lovely and spacious, clean and quite modern. We had a view of the Rio Novo canal which is a busy canal but still lovely to be able to see if from the apartment. The area is a busy thorough fare as commuters come through that area from the stations so if you're looking for an extremely quiet place this may not be for you. This did not bother us at all and the noise is only noticeable when the windows are open, otherwise you don't hear it. We loved it. Our host was lovely and while a family emergency of theirs hindered our check in slightly, they were so accommodating in meeting us when they had more important things to attend to. Not a huge concern, but the beds only had flat sheets not fitted so ended up by morning being a little wrapped up in the sheet and the mattress's exposed.
• Osama (4/5): In summary, I dreaded coming to the apartment every night due to the smell and unhygienic feeling. F - The apartment is modern and beautiful. The view is amazing. The location is very good, and you can reach it from the train station by crossing only two bridges (one long and one short), and that is a big deal if you have lots of luggage, as there are lots of stairs on each bridge. After communication all along and through the train ride, the host did not arrive at the promised time. We had agreed to meet at 4 PM and after I arrived at the meeting point, they kept telling me 30 minutes later and eventually arrived after 5:30 p.m. I am not sure what the source was, but the house constantly smelled bad, like a combination of sewer or seafood. Maybe it was the smell from restaurants underneath, but there definitely was an issue with one bathroom, and keeping its door closed helped, but the whole house stank for the duration of our stay. All the extra blankets had yellow and red stains on them. The bedding actually on the bed looked clean, but I was very uncomfortable.
• Viktoriya (10/5): Amazing apartment, comfortable, great size and great location - Amazing apartment, right on the canal, great and not very expensive restaurants on the first floor of this building. Taxi, buses, and water buses are 5-minute walk. The supermarket is 7-minute walk. Amazing view of a canal from the living room and one of the bedrooms. The apartment is a big size, very comfortable and bright, located on the second floor (no elevator). The host is friendly, speaks English well, meets us, shows us the apartment, and provides a lot of useful information. All appliances and air conditioners were working great. Two washrooms were clean and comfortable as well. I attached the photo of the view from the lining room. I would really recommend this apartment.

• Elizabeth (7/5): Good for short family stay on a budget - Close proximity to the train station. Easily walking distance and ideal for a short stay. Photos are fairly representative. Didn’t use the kitchen apart from the fridge, so can’t comment on this. Unfortunately it is located above a sea food restaurant and so there is a distinct smell of fried food. Such a shame as the host is really helpful and the location is great.
• Colleen (8/5): Very good - The apartment was in a great location near the train station and all transportation options, both on and off the island. There are numerous restaurants within a very short walk and the host provided many suggestions and great tips for navigating the city. The kitchen is a bit bare on basics and it they didn't have what you would typically need for a 3 night stay such as garbage bags and more than one roll of toilet paper. The living room couch is not in great shape, with broken springs and shedding material. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable and did not have mattress covers and the bedding provided was very thin without additional blankets for warmth. Overall, great location and a wonderful host, but a bit of attention to basics and bedding would make this a much better stay.

• Matthew (2/5): We wouldn't recommend this apartment for the smell it turned us off Venice. - The location was good for us coming from the train station with suitcases. We had fine weather might be different when wet. We had our son to help lift our cases too but you could pay people to help you. The size of the apartment was good for our family of 4. There was a foul smell which gave us headaches worst in the extremely tiny ensuite and absolutely unbearable in the foyer. The host dropped in some air fresheners and mozzie plugs as this is a normal smell from the canals. Thankfully it wasn't hot as we assume it would have smelt even worst. We had the windows open when we were there through the day (which wasn't much) but closed at night for the mozzie's and the noise to sleep. The single beds room was extremely noisy hearing the people below at the cafe/restaurant which is open to late. Washing machine was not working - we picked this apartment months and months ago because it had a washing machine. When I asked the host where the machine was she said it doesn't work anymore and was not on the website as having a washing machine. Note to self to check before we leave for our next holiday that all facilities as still on the website like the washing machine. The machine was there but not working. Ensuite - very small - lucky the main bathroom was larger. Kids can use the ensuite.

• Maalouf (9/5): Superb - - Great location to get in and out of town without having to take your luggage on a water taxi. We took the train in, walked 6 minutes and took the taxi out which is 3 minutes walk. I can't imagine what people staying on the other side of the island had to do with respect of transportation. - Location is also great because right underneath it there were a few restaurants and ice cream shops. I recommend Majer for breakfast and Cafe Fiori for other meals if you want something close. - The flat itself is very spacious. 2 bedroom & 2 baths. The living room is big with a big couch that is L-shaped but opens big. There is air conditioning in every room including living room. - view of the canal from the living room and one of the bedrooms. - Christiana the host was very kind and provided all the information we needed and responded to communication quickly. - Really, not the fault of the unit itself, the smell in the entryway of the building was atrocious. We would hold our breath to go up the stairs. Once in the unit there were no odors. If possible I would recommend the building either put air freshener around or open the glass portion of the metal entryway door. - The 2 single beds are a little small for adults, but manageable.

• Matthew (10/5): The perfect flat for our family - spacious , clean and comfortably fitted out. - The hostess Cristiana was extremely kind and helpful and we loved being on the canal with views of the boats and water on one side and then having a nice quiet bedroom on the other side.

The view of the canal from the windows was something! We loved that this place has 2 bathrooms because we were 5 people. Would stay here again if I have a chance to visit Venice in the future!
• Katarzyna (2/5): Dirty, smelly, awful experience - The windows overlooked the canal. Close proximity to the bus station. WiFi internet was working. The first thing that hits you when you enter the apartment is awful smell of fried fish, which most likely comes from downstairs restaurant. The smell was there all the time and was unbearable. Cleanliness was appalling, it was absolutely disgusting. There was hair in bedsheets, stains on duvet, hair on bathroom floors, shower wall tiles were covered in limescale and clearly not been cleaned for ages, bathroom door and towel rail was dirty. Thick dirt across bottom of both shower trays, behind the toilet and under the sink. Broken sockets. Missing light bulb in one of the bed side lamps. Window blinds were broken. We were told we’re not allowed to adjust the heating temperature as it had already been set. Pots and pans were very old and heavily used, we had to wash them before use as they were greasy, this put us off cooking in the apartment. Washing up sponge was heavily used, we had to buy a new one. Dishwasher needed emptying on arrival. Bins were dirty. We had to dispose of our own rubbish. No clear instruction on how to use tv, it took us 2 days to work it out. Stool in hallway was rickety and ready to collapse, do not try to sit on it. Lighting in living room/kitchen was very poor. Somebody entered the property in our absence on the morning of check out and left a bag in the apartment. Cleaner was knocking on the door half an hour before check out time.

• Ian_w082 (7/5): Modern apartment in an excellent location, but the air-con wasn't good in the main room - The location is excellent, very close to the ferry terminal, bus and train stations. No more than 5 minutes walk. Its clean, well-equipped and fresh. The Air Conditioning! It only worked in the kids room. We went in the middle of August and couldnt get the temperataute in our room much under 27 which meant I could not sleep much. There were two fans which we put in the room however one was broken and the other one didnt have a protector on it... I cut my foot on it at night accidentally when I kicked it.. had to have it so close to me as the room was so hot.

• Vishamp (9/5): Great stay in Venice at Santa Croce Wonderful Venice - The apartment was very clean and had all the kitchen amenities. It is close to restaurants and Coop supermarket. The apartment is close to the Piazzale Roma bus station and about 15 mins walk to Santa Lucia train station. Cristiana handed me the keys and explained me how to handle in the apartment. • Kwang (4/5): Good location but not worth the money for this apartment - Location as there are lots of restaurants and close to central train station 1. Difficult to find the apt, but fortunately the representative for the apt contacted me to meet at hotel nearby 2. Aircon was not working in the hall and master bedroom 3. Appliances were old and furniture a bit tardy 4. Better to find a nearby hotel as cost was marginally lower only

• Kimberley (1/5): Falsely advertised as “air conditioned” not true! - The proximity to the main attractions. All within walking distance. The air conditioning system is not efficient, nor has it been for several years as I see the same repeated comments as mine. They won’t even bring fans to cool you off, they take the money then leave you and your children to have sleepless nights in 30’ temperatures. Also, very dirty, scuffs all over the walls, giant dusts and dirt in bedrooms, dirty dishes in the cupboards. Will never stay here again!
