Guest Reviews
- ANGEL (9/5): Bien lugar para conocer Venecia - Situado en zona tranquila pero accesible
- Beckham (10/5): Beautiful apartment, great location! - Wonderful location, beautiful large apartment with lots of natural light, beautiful artworks, comfortable and very homey! Host was very helpful and gave us lots of good information about the area/things to do, as well as answer any questions we had. No elevator and small staircase to reach the apartment, would not recommend if you have very large luggages or trouble with stairs.
- paul (10/5): Our family thoroughly enjoyed this character-filled property. We felt like Venitians! - We loved staying in this character filled home in Venice. Everything about the property; the exterior climbing flowers and massive wooden entry door, stone spiral stairs to the main level, marble floors and exposed beams echoed the rich history of the island. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, and main bathroom clean and spacious. Having a secondary powder room was convenient. The location was a short walk to cafes, restaurants and shops without the San Marco crowds. Beautiful! Figuring out the trash collection system in Venice was complicated but necessary. I love the trash boats and the fact that recycling is prioritized.

- STEFANIA (10/5): Struttura signorile splendidamente arredata! - Struttura stupenda arredata con gusto, molto spaziosa e perfettamente attrezzata. Molto comoda per 6 persone. Posizione top.
- Simon (10/5): Couldnt have chosen better and I would recommend this to anyone - You couldnt ask for a better location, central to everything on the island, and building had such character. Cant think of much
- Linda (10/5): Lovely stay. - Great location. Host super helpful with suggestions of where to eat and what to do. Nothing.
- Roman (9/5): - Chýbalo nám rádio - funkčné
- Alexandra (9/5): Loads of character! - This was our favourite accomodation on our recent trip to Italy. We loved the quirky style and wonderful features including spiral staircase, hidden attic bedroom and glass chandelier. There were good restaurant options in the local area and the kitchen was well-equiped with a grocery store nearby (we also highly recommend the Majer bakery). It was a perfect size for our family of 5 (including 3 adult children) and in a good location to explore Venice (about a 15 minute walk to the train station). The host was very helpful and responsive, even coming to find us when our GoogleMaps wasn't working! One of the queen beds was very firm which may not be to everyone's taste. Also, we were a little confused by what to do with the rubbish, we found the boat but I think perhaps it was supposed to be put in a bin on the side of the canal that would then be put onto the boat rather than just throwing it in. It might be a good idea to clarify this with the host - we left it a bit late.
- Anne (9/5): - Everything
- Elizabeth (10/5): The apartment is awesome, and I recommend it for adults, especially historians. I loved it! - The apartment was comfortable and clean, and the owner and staff great to work with. The best part was the historical feel of the place, from the spiral stone stairwell into the apartment, and the windows. The tile flooring was beautiful, and the location was great, being close to the Academia, and hub for gondolas, buses, and taxis. I believe the main room chandelier is a Murano - it’s a beautiful piece of art. The second shower was smaller than expected, and the high window in the main bathroom let in a few mosquitos; but neither of these were a show stopper.
- Robyn (8/5): Great location, great host, perfect place to base yourself for a few days - Perfect location to immerse yourself in the local area. The check in process was very good and communication was easy and frequent. The apartment was well supplied and easy to access (if you have difficulty navigating stairs maybe choose somewhere else. We would recommend families to stay here and we will certainly book again when in Venice. The main living area first thing in the morning was a little cold on the feet - due to the cold coming up the stairs. The heating in the apartment is sufficient in winter to keep you warm though. Also opening the windows the winter sun coming in heats enough during the day
- Jesse (8/5): - Very pretty and rustic home in a convenient part of Venice. Not too far from the train station with restaurants nearby. Great for a bigger family. The place was pretty dusty with dust flying off the sofa when we sat down. Pillows were overdue to be switched out for new ones. One was not usable because of hard plastic(?) objects in the middle. The others were completely flat.

- LeoniPlo (10/5): Amazing house - The hosts were treating us not like tourists, but rather like family members visiting. The vibe of the house was the same - it feels like home, but not like a tourist place.
We were met at the doors of the house and received a tour around the rooms and instructions on using the facilities. We could use and regulate heating as we liked it. The kitchen is perfectly equiped even for longer stays.
The house itself is marvelous - a mixture of historical architecture and more or less modern facilities. And it is huge as well.
There is abundance of cafes and restaurants in 2 minutes walk. And there is a supermarket 4 minutes away. It would be better to have modern pillows.
A bit pricey, but it was worth it.

- Cristiana (10/5): - Bellissima casa molto confortevole e spaziosa in ottima posizione
- Karen (10/5): - Everything here was amazing. We loved our short stay in this charming place. Plenty of room for everyone and a delightful place to be. Our host was amazing, gave us lots of tips to explore Venice and the surrounding islands.
- Patty (7/5): - The apartment location is great and the decor was really eclectic and fun. It was fine for a 2 night stay. Great Venetian touches throughout made for fun photos.
2 sinks in the main bathroom was nice and lots of counter space throughout the apartment was convenient for 3 women to use. The 2nd bathroom was really just a toilet closet with a shower head over the toilet in the corner and should be called at most a half bath. Access to the main level from the entry is up a cement spiral staircase with over 20 stairs. Our medium sized suitcases stayed in the entry way rather than trying to haul them up the stairs. 3rd bedroom is up a further spiral staircase from the main level. Ok for kids but tough for adults.
- Becki (7/5): We had a good Venitian experience! - A true Venetian apartment! Cute and charming … beds were comfortable! Hostess helped a lot before trip guiding us where to go through Venice. More stairs than we thought. 25 step winding staircase to get to living quarters. Walking to apartment over four bridges with stairs with suitcases was challenging! If we had packed lighter, that would have helped!🤣

- Marta (10/5): świetny pobyt w komfortowych warunkach i dobrej lokalizacji. Niestety za krótko. Na pewno wrócimy - świetna lokalizacja. Apartament zgodny z opisem i załączonymi zdjęciami. Bardzo dobry kontakt z włąścicielką. -
- Paola (10/5): - La ubicación, la amabilidad de los dueños y la distribución general del piso Por indicar algo a mejorar, una de las camas y almohadas un poquito duras, pero en general todo perfecto
- Christina (9/5): Enjoyed our visit.would recommend to others. - It was authentic. Close to the bus station. Enough space for our family of 6. Washing machine. Beds weren’t super comfy. Neither were pillows.
- Ophir (10/5): A lovely, spacious and well-equipped house in a quiet yet comfortable location. - The house is large, elegant, well-lit and well-equipped. The vicinity to the main parking at the Piazzale Roma (a short walking distance) was very convenient. Giorgia, our host, was very nice, attentive and informative. The pillows were uncomfortable.
- Alyssa (9/5): Quintessential Venice. Very charming Our kids thought we stayed in a castle yhose two nights. - It was close to the plaza and transportation. Had AC and enough beds to accommodate our family of 5.
- Laurence (10/5): - Tout était parfait : magnifique appartement, propre, bien équipé, très bien situé
- Adam (10/5): We loved our stay at this wonderful, unique home in Venice - This house was perfect for our family of 5 (two adults, 3 kids - 17, 15, and 12). We had plenty of room. The hosts were great, wonderful communication and met us at the house to show us around and give us keys and local info. The home is in a quiet location and it was very easy to find from the bus or train station. We loved our stay!
- William (6/5): Pleasant -
- Marie-eve (8/5): Perfect location. - Great location, perfect to discover Venice. Not too far from parking or train station. We liked the fact that we had two bathrooms for our stay. The service bathroom had some issues but it was still used.
- Diane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marian (8/5): Very good -
- Meredith (10/5): Exceptional - Convenient from Piazzale Roma. Close to restaurants and cafes. Garden views. Charming and comfortable Venetian building. Great communication with hosts. Good orientation of the building when we arrived. Pillows were a bit lumpy but that’s a minor thing.
- Selene (10/5): Exceptional - The location is just less than 10 mins walk from the main train station , and also super convenient location to get around by walking to find food etc . Nothing
- Marcelino (10/5): Exceptional - Getting to the location was easy. Getting around to the sites was easy.
- Jenna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrej (10/5): Exceptional - We picked this apartment for it's location- couldn't choose any better! Less than 10mins walk from Garage San Marco.
Amazing Giorgia let us drop our bags during the day. Property was nice and clean, very spacious! Easy walk to town, lots of bars, cafes and restaurants within 5mins. Also 2 shops less than 300m away. Highly recommend !! Looks amazing with lots of character - staircase is fantastic feature. Thank you! Short stay only 2 nights..
- Tooraj (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Char (8/5): Awesome house in the middle of everything, but away from all the tourists. - The location was excellent. Communication with Giorgia was superb. The house was fantastic, everyone loved it. It was large enough for 6 adults. We all wish we had access to the backyard, it was very enticing from the windows. The biggest complaint was the beds, they need to change them out. Not really a complaint, but the wet bathroom (combo toilet shower) was quite interesting, never encountered one before except on a boat. Had some hot water issues, but it was solved. Be advised that there are a lot of stairs, so people with disabilities shouldn't stay here.
- Dawn (9/5): Superb -
- Irene (7/5): Everything was very old and outdated, even thought it had its historical value and charm. - Location and historical value Uncomfortable mattresses, and pillows.
- Anton (9/5): Spascious apartment with old-style charm! - Great location in quieter area next to university and only 10 minutes walk from Piazzale Roma (taxi rank). Very spascious apartment with old-style charm and all necessary amenities. Nothing
- Sarah (7/5): Needs better pillows and mattresses or mattress pads. - The location, the originality of the building, the space was a good size for our family. The pillows and beds were very uncomfortable. If you ever open a window the mosquitos swarm you all night and you can’t sleep. If you turn on all the ac at once the power goes out and alarms go off until you get the code by text from staff.
- Samuel (10/5): Loved the location, advice from Barbara, and help that Giorgia provided us. - Location perfect. Great advice about Valparetto tickets and how to get around. Giorgia was so nice to us and really above and beyond to get us back property that was left there by accident. Campo Santa Magherita had good restaurants and places to watch soccer. great place to take the all the Valpretto lines back and forth. Unfortunately only one key for the property so difficult to split the group.
- Amanda (8/5): We really enjoyed feeling a bit more like a local staying here - The apartment was exactly what we needed in terms of bedrooms, living space, green outlook, kitchen and we absolutely loved the location which was away from the busy, touristy heart of Venice and had a more local feel. The square nearby had some wonderful restaurants and bars that were less touristy. The shower water pressure and temperature which I think is a Venice thing!
- Annisa (9/5): Beautiful home with a very convenient location! - The location was perfect! It was a short walk from the bus station, albeit the bridges and the stairs. The rooms were great and big, it was enough space for a family of 6. There were a lot of stairs… one of my family members have trouble with her knees so it wasn’t pleasant for her to go up the spiral staircase. Fortunately we only had to climb up them every time we return from an outing
- Anonymous (7/5): Nice apartment. - The location was away from the central area and quiet at night. The bedrooms were large and beds fairly comfortable. The spiral staircase caused issues for transporting large suitcases, and may be of concern to those with mobility issues.
- Karonte (9/5): Superb -
- Gordon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maree (8/5): The house is in a perfect location and is within walking distance to everything. It is a little tricky to find but the m - The location is incredible. The house is full of charm. Giorgio was extremely helpful. Everything was great so no complaints at all. If anything, an extra pillows would have been nice.
- Sandra (9/5): Beautiful heritage apartment for big group - Magnificent historic building with plenty of space for a group, allowing views through its big windows of pretty gardens. It has plenty of quirky charm, with an attic room hidden through a wardrobe, medieval-like entrance with spiralled stairs, a staircase leading up to a mezzanine storage area in one bedroom, a funny second shower over a toilet room. It is located in a quiet pocket a minute’s walk to a canal and relaxed more-locals scene with cafes and shops and an abundance of quaint laneways. Yet it is not too far to walk to explore Venice’s big tourist drawcards. Host very friendly and attentive to needs. We were offered late check out if we needed it. No complaints
- Jae-gyung (7/5): Good -

- Nicolas (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (9/5): Authentic place to stay - Very authentic place to stay The front door could not be locked
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Neighborhood location. Not touristy, yet convenient to all. Comfortable beds and bath. Tight spiral stairs from ground to first floor.
- P (10/5): amazing stay, loved the place - beautifully decorated place, big rooms, amazing location, fully kitted with anything necessary for our stay
- Victoria (10/5): Spacious, with local style, comfortable, friendly host! - Apartment is spacious and 5 people were feeling comfortable and had enough space. Apartment has high ceilings, beautiful big Murano glass lamp in the living room, air conditioning in every room, fully equipped kitchen, castle staircase, secret room with 2 beds, which our kids enjoyed a lot! Location is very good and convenient, area is quiet at night and not crowded at day time. The host is very friendly and helpful! Pillows could be more comfortable
