Guest Reviews
- Antje (9/5): Venedig ist immer eine Reise wert, richtig toll, es war auch nicht so voll. Die Unterkunft ist super angebunden und alle - Sehr zentral und trotzdem ruhig.
- Nalini (8/5): It was a good stay - It was a great location It needs a bit upgrading of the bathrooms and the sofas and chairs.
- Miklós (8/5): - Minden Víz ellátás.
- Georg (9/5): - Lage, Größe und Kontakt zum Vermieter. Kleinigkeiten
- Ludmila (9/5): Perfect - Location was perfect for exploring Venice. Easy access to vaporetti, a grocery shop available in Zattere. Excellent icecream around the corner:-)
- Bernardo (9/5): highly recommended to really enjoy Venice - Location is fantastic, very quiet but just one step crossing the canal from San Marco Mixing the water on the shower is tricky, but all fine otherwise.
- Joanne (10/5): WONDERFUL, WE LOVE VENICE -- WE WERE AMAZED HOW ORGANIZED, HOW CLEAN EVERYTHING WAS -- OPERA, SYMPHO - LOCATION WAS GREAT, CLOSE TO EVERYTHING AND INTERESTING BOUTIQUIES, GALLERIES, MUSEUMS, GOOD RESTAURANTS AND TAPA BARS LIKED EVERYTHING
- Miriam (7/5): Decent enough apartment - Location is great - close to the water taxi which links directly to the main tourist attractions, as well as near plenty of choices in the immediate vicinity.
The apartment is relatively spacious, and decently clean.
The host was friendly and gave us a quick tour of the apartment. The shower was ice cold until our second day, when the host turned on the boiler. The apartment is fairly expensive for the comfort level it provides. The living room furniture is not really clean and is very lumpy.....could definitely stand a replacement.
- Grazina (10/5): Everything was great and I think the price of the accommodation is really not high. - I really enjoyed staying at Salute Appartamenti. This is a very nice apartment with a bedroom, dining room and bathroom, furnished in a historical style with Venetian accents. I was especially pleased with the impeccable aesthetic taste everywhere. Everything was very clean and tidy. I lived alone, but the apartment is suitable for two or even three people. It has everything you need: kitchenware, bathware and more. The apartment is beautiful, practical and in a wonderful location where you can quickly reach the most important objects of the city. What more could you want! Problems with hot water. The hot water was not enough for a full bath. The internet connection is weak, but as far as I know it's a Venice-wide problem.
- Peter (7/5): Good - Spacious, characterful atmosphere and tastefully decorated apartment. The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood. The location was fine, close to a boarding point for the boat transport and not far from San Marco square as the crow flies. The apartment has overdue maintenance, such as jammed windows and doors, leaking taps, a worn-out sofa.
- Rachel (7/5): A peaceful place to stay in Venice - Quiet location
Easy to find and get around from
Lovely comfy bed
- Emily (8/5): Brilliant apartment in a great location - It was beautiful and great facilities No hot water
- Stella (5/5): Works as a bed in a good location, but facilities severely lacking or broken. - The location was very well placed only 1 stop from Piazza San Marco, but on Dorsodouro which was much less busy. Lots of space in the apartment with a small private balcony facing a private inner yard area. Host allowed for a later checkout which meant we were able to leave our bags in the apartment all day prior to catching a flight out in the evening. Prior to arriving, we received a lot of concerning/pushy emails from the host. Some stating that they had cancelled our reservation but then saying that the message wasn't for us, and noting additional fees for cleaning (which are noted in the fine print at the very bottom of the booking page) that in our opinion should have been included in the priced of the room as it wasn't a small amount (over 50 EUR). NO WIFI even though a password was given in email. While there was a kitchen (which we were expecting to use to make some meals during a long stay), the sink had a plumbing issue and could not be used in even a small capacity (washing 2 dishes after breakfast) without the pipes overflowing onto the ground. We raised this issue within 24 hours of arriving and asked if someone could come check on it, to which the host said they would. I don't know if anyone ever came when we were out but the water puddle appeared to just dry out by itself over night. We tried to test the sink again a day later (poured a small bit of only water down the drain) and it overflowed again onto the floor but this time smelt of pure sewage. The smell was extremely strong and we had to open all windows and close ourselves in the bedroom with a towel under the door to try to escape the smell. There was no cleaning equipment in the apartment so we couldn't mop the water up. There was also no sponge/brush in the kitchen for washing up; we did not try to use the dishwasher. We couldn't sleep with windows open because the way street was paved and the buildings are, the sounds from the street often sounded like people were IN THE ROOM WITH US; it was extremely disconcerting especially since we were expecting the host to come any minute to deal with the sink. The single fan in the house was broken.
- Noah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ge (8/5): Excellent location, well maintained apartment; it exceeded our expectations - a perfect stay ! - The location was perfect and the apartment was very cosy, especially as it was quite cool in Venice during our stay, so it was a comfort to be able to easily come back to a warm shelter. Natalia, who let us in, was lovely and she promptly helped us when we had a query. We would have no hesitation in staying here again and would seek out this apartment for future stays. The bathroom water pressure is not great and the shower a little awkwardly positioned under stairs, but this is Venice and these houses are perhaps hundreds of years old, so we are grateful that so much hard work has been done to make this property such a cosy home to stay in.
- Jill (7/5): A comfortable apartment, if a little old fashioned, but in one of Venice’s quieter neighbourhoods. - Dorsoduro is a quiet area of Venice, ideal for art lovers with easy access to the Peggy the Guggenheim There is no oven, so not ideal if you are staying longer than just a few days.
- Alice (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (7/5): apartment quite+facilities are adequate WIFI needs to be upgraded but over all we enjoyed our stay - Very Quite location and very central Apartment could do with a refurbishing exercise and the wifi was not strong in all the apartment , we could use only in the Bedroom
- Elena (5/5): Shower preassure really bad - Location No preassure in the shower, no hot water!
Bed uncomfortable
- Louise (8/5): Very good -
- Lina (10/5): Really good - Location is very good, you can walk every where in about 20 minute’s.
Property was clean, with all stuff you can need.
- Tuuganbek (2/5): Overall, I don’t recommend it to anyone, - Не понравилось I didn’t like it - 1. Wi-Fi doesn’t work, the password is wrong, it was specially made so that - it doesn’t pay for the Internet. When they wrote that wi-fi was not working, the owner replied (photo) 2. The lighting above the stove in the kitchen does not work. 3. The sheet and mattress pad in the bed are constantly rolling down, need to be corrected 2 times during the night. 4. The garbage is not taken out, no one does it, due to the unpleasant smell, the garbage bag was taken out onto the street when they came from the excursion - they saw a note on the pact (photo). 5. My wife got infected with mosquitoes or lice, I don’t know what.??? (photo) There was insect repellent, but it didn’t help, no one helped. 6. The towels were very old (probably the same age as the “city of Venice”), very hard and smelly, like a floor rag. 7. Air conditioner, mobile - should have a hole in the outside, but this hole does not exist. The air conditioner is of no use. Overall, I don’t recommend it to anyone,
- Anisa (3/5): n/a - n/a n/a
- Carpenter (4/5): Probably not worth it. - great location for main attractions, cute apartment, bigger apartment than expected. Mosquitos everywhere and I mean everywhere. Me and my husband were getting eaten alive while in the house relaxing and even sleeping. My legs are covered! I’ve also seen the owner say mosquitoes in the house are “not his problem”. Yes they most definitely are there needs to be a trap or some kind of effort for this. It made this apartment lose many points for me. Another big con is the 70€ cash cleaning fee they don’t tell you about until after you book. Absolutely not okay to demand people pay for it when it wasn’t disclosed when booking! They literally threaten to not let you into the apartment with no refund if you don’t show up with the cash. Had we known we needed to pay 70€ extra we definitely wouldn’t have booked this place. It’s not even a good deal at that point. Feels so sneaky and wrong this needs to change. Also I beg of you to replace the towels they’re super old and smell like mildew. And last thing when we booked we got sent a really weird and demanding message telling us of all of the charges we would face if we don’t show up on time and the undisclosed cleaning fee. Honestly, I just wouldn’t recommend this place for the communication alone.
- Pavlo (8/5): It was beyond any expectations, I totally recommend this apartment - It is an absolutely beautiful and authentic gem apartment in the most unique city in the world. The location is amazing, being at a very quiet place, and at the same time pretty close to all the interesting spots in town. The host gave a very very detailed and precise information about how to get there and check in, and was very helpful. Those are so minor things compared to how I liked these apartments that they don't even worth mentioning, like the missing plug in a bathtub.
- Tejas (6/5): good location but not so good facilities - location There were mosquitoes in the apartment. Too many to sleep comfortably I asked for a mosquito repellant liquid but was denied.
Also the wifi is not good at all.
They mention washing machine in the facilities but it is not there in the apartment. The owner should list the facilities carefully. If something is not there, do not mention it.
I
- Chorley (10/5): loved every second, thank you so much - it was chic and comfortable
Natalia was very welcoming the towels were a bit old
- Pankaj (8/5): Great location, very good apartment/ facilities but the weather could have been better! (: - Self catering apartment with Kitchenette and living room.
Great location next to Salute ferry stop (literally opposite St Mark's Square.
Good facilities in the apartment. The cleaner who gave us the keys had no knowledge of English so was unable to answer any questions we had for her.
We couldn't get the TV to work (just to chill out for 10 minutes in the evening!)
We didn't know how to turn on the heating initially - it was very cold in Venice on the day of our arrival.
When we contacted the hosts by phone and email the response was very poor - non-English speaker on phone and email response was ask the maid. We never saw anybody related to the apartment during the whole of our stay!
Recommendation:
1. Have an English speaking person when picking up the keys
2 . Create a simple manual of instructions for things in the Apartment ie TV, Heating, etc and also helpful hints and tips for tourists eg good local bars, restaurants, how to use the Vaparetto on a one off basis without the need to buy a daily pass, etc
- Vinícius (9/5): Superb -
- Freddie (8/5): Very good -
- Tatevik (9/5): Superb - it was really good equipped house. and it was beyond expectations as there are some not good comments. The apartment are located 15 - 20 minutes walk from san marco square but on the other side of canal. The heating was good. the hot water always works. It is furnished with old style furniture but for venice it is rather interesting. The only disappointment I didn’t notice 70€ + 30 € payments before booking but it worth it.
- Kelsey (10/5): Gorgeous - It was such a cute apartment!! Excellent location. Massive space. everything you could want
- Augustin (10/5): Exceptional - very nice vintage apartment ,the pressure from hot water not that good, have to be fix.
- Hj (1/5): Don't Waste Your Time On This Faked Apartment - The apartment was fine actually except that the internet was Non existent and poor reception, no hot water and water pressure was extremely low and room heating was not turn on. It was bad service from the beginning. They only interested in collecting Cleaning Fees upfront, no guidance as to how to reach the premises considering it was night time. It took us 3hrs from Santa Chiara to reach the apartment but with the help of several local Italians. We almost had to sleep at the boat station bcoz it was the last boat service and fortunately, it was the right boat to Salute. We found a couple who showed us the apartment just past midnight. The maid who promised to come and collect the cleaning fee did not turn up at 08:00. When I ask, she replied she's not free and told me to leave the cash on the table for her to collect at 12 noon. On our last day, we were threatened by the maid to provide our passports copies failing which she will report us to the police. At no time, did she or the apartment request for our passports. We would have given them if they ask for it just like our Milan Hotel GIOIA HOMES who did it in advance prior checking in. This is the WORST STAY I ever had with Booking.com. The apartment had the cheek to offer me a better service for future stay. However, they're not keen to resolve present problems encountered by guests immediately. I don't understand why the cleaning maid was communicating with me instead of the apartment. Turned out she was not a local as confirmed by my newly met Italian friends. This is Garbage Service apartment
- Pik (3/5): Awful experience, but Venice is still beautiful! - It’s close to the Salute water bus station (2-min walk). 1. There is no elevator and you need to climb up the stairs. Too many narrow stairs for more than 2 big luggages to run up. We were only told that we were living on a second floor when we met the host on location.
2. Slow water flow and unstable hot water, sometimes you can only get cold water.
3. Too many mosquitoes in the house even we close all windows all the time. There is no mosquito machine provided.
4. TV is not working at all. Get your own entertainment ready!
5. Wifi is weak and unstable. Limited access when you are only 1 meter near the wifi extender in the living room. You cannot access wifi when you are in the bedroom, bathroom and the kitchen.
6. Impossible communication with the host as she and her husband cannot speak English and she was not very responsive most of the time.
7. Washing machine is not at the same apartment. After we requested the key of the laundry room on the first day, we had to wait til the 3rd day of our stay to get the key.
8. found out there’s stain on the towel for shower.
9. The light above the stove was broken, you must cook in dark sometimes!!
- Gleb (7/5): all was fine except that it was a torture to take a shower - nice location, nice and comfortable one bedroom apartment big problems with hot water in the bathroom all the days of our stay.
- Myles (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ady (6/5): Pleasant -
- Edgars (5/5): Passable - Cleanliness, location Stuff
