- Daniel (7/5): - La ubicación era muy buena La limpieza, cuidado del alojamiento y la cama
- Анна (9/5): -
- Kathleen (9/5): - I loved this little apartment. It was in a fabulous location and was really cute and cosy. I had a very comfortable stay. Jacopo was a responsive and helpful host. Maybe the apartment needed a few more basics in the kitchen but it was fine for one person.

- zen travels (8/5): - Good location, super easy communication with admin. The room needs a bit of attention and fixing, nothing major but it’s the details that make the difference.
( ex bathroom door hinges, etc)
The interior/room feels improvised in a haste right now and it has potential to be amazing.
- Marta (10/5): -
- Mark (9/5): Evocative, comfortable, convenient and issue-free. - Very good, clear instructions on access and prompt attention on arrival. Unique property, felt safe and was comfortable, and would definitely look to stay again if I return to the city. Unfortunately the shower fitting was damaged, which made showering awkward. Would also be improved with a microwave.
- Ronald (10/5): Charming place in a wonderful location from which to take strolls around Venice! - Beautiful spot, very safe, and close to an uncrowded water bus location.
- ingrun (5/5): - The sheets and cushions were smelly, curtains weren’t clean
- melinda (8/5): Quiet location close to everything. - Perfect location Could provide an extra towel
- federico (9/5): - Ottima posizione, rapporto qualità prezzo, silenzioso Qualche ragnatela
- Paul (6/5): - Great location for what we wanted. Shower head holder was broken. Lack of bowls (only one) and basic cooking utensils (eg. Bread knife and chopping board)
- Peta-Louise (8/5): - Location was good, nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to everything. Jacopo was very helpful and easy to communicate with throughout the stay The shower head you had to hold so made it tricky to wash hair.
- Chris (10/5): 3 day visit within Venice - Apartment is within a stunning building right in the heart of the city. Half the apartment is a library of stunning books. Bed was super comfy and extra pillows etc in the cupboards. . The owner was amazing and really went above and beyond to meet our arrival time and answered queries we had to do with transport quickly and provided excellent instructions on how to find the apartment. Fantastic coffee and sandwich bar 5 mins away!
- Andrew (9/5): Amazing historical apartment - Location, close to water bus, apartment is historic and very atmospheric the owner was very helpful with a great guide to find the apartment then forward where the supermarket and best restaurants in the area. The holder for the shower head was broken, and a extra couple of pillows would of been nice.
- Karrin (9/5): Very nice - They where excellent at communicating with us as we had some tech issues our end & they where very accommodating to our needs
- Ondrej (7/5): -
- Ana Belen (9/5): Maravillosa ubicación y el dueño muy atento siempre - La ubicación es inmejorable Todo me gustó
- Eternaile (6/5): Venice hideaway, in an authentic building within short walking distance to Venetian culture. - The location, quiet and close to shops, 20 min walk to San Basilica. 11 min walk to St Mark's Sq. Closet public transport water stop at Giglio, 5 min walk.
Jacob did come to fix WiFi, he also gave advice on the local area. Full description of how to get here with various options and photography of how to get into the place. He was helpful and lives locally. The accommodation does not have useful kitchen basics, such as scissors sharp knives tea towels etc....
The shower holder is broken and we had no wi-fi working for almost 24 hrs.
No welcome pack !
- basics such as coffee, bottle.water, milk or tea. No local shop for groceries.
We were only given information about the property, daily visitor taxes and municipality forms 24 hrs in advance. Which really needs to be sent at least 4-5 days in advance....given that visitor city taxes double from €5 to €10 per person.... if the exemption form does not apply to you.
- Sormila (6/5): Met all basic needs on a holiday stay - The location, the landlord-tried his best to resolve issues,on the whole, it had all the basic amenities to have on a holiday when one is out for most of the day. Venice was hot 27 to 30 degrees and very humid.the air con did not work and there was not time to fix the problem and so at night difficulty sleeping and due to needing to keep window open for breeze, got bitten by mosquitoes.
- Barry (8/5): Very good -
- Sally (10/5): I would be happy to return and will recommend to others. - Very convenient location. Easy walk to major sites, easy access to train and airport transportation. Very quiet. Easy check-in and good communication with property manager. Appreciated being met upon arrival at the property rather than having to navigate the lock-box. Mosquitos - probably a fact of life in Venice.
- Shona (5/5): Great apartment but the stay could be so much nicer spending a small amount on sorting the above. - Fantastic location
Charming old building with lots of character. Kitchen really poorly equipped ( 1 bowl so had to take turns for breakfast cereal) . The plates and cutlery were not clean and there was a very unhygienic cloth/ sponge scourer. The duvet was very old and not clean. The toilet needed cleaning with bleach !
- Дмитрий (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing!!!! Just wow, old-world charm in the heart of Veince. Our host was wonderful and welcoming and gave us plenty of information regarding directions and the best restaurant etc. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I fell in love with this building. The courtyard is stunning. The apartment is very big and had everything you would need for a short stay in Veince. The location is just amazing with a bar, restaurant & a coffee shop with freshly baked pastries in the morning perfect for breakfast within a 2 minute walk. Just a few minutes walk to Piazza San Marco through the most incredible shopping street. While so close to everything, we heard no street noise, just San Marco bells in the distance that was a delight to here. Would highly recommend Ca' Barbarigo and i hope to return soon. Grazie Leaving, we loved everything!
- Michelle (7/5): Good -
- Dimitris (9/5): Superb - The host was very kind and willing to help with any problem. The location is very ideal. The apartment corresponds to the photos presented. For those who like boss graphic environments this apartment is ideal. The bed mattress could have been better.
- Joan (8/5): Lovely spot in a great neighbourhood - Lovely spot. A privilege to stay in a palazzo and experience traditional architecture. Hearing the piano being played upstairs was super romantic. Kitchen could be better equipped, and maybe some mosquito preventatives. Don’t open windows as we were eaten alive!
- Nikolaos (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kerensa (7/5): Great location - The location was fantastic, within 10 minutes walk of all the main tourist sites and really close to a vaporetto stop. The apartment was nice and quiet too, and the bed was comfy. The host was super helpful and sent us very detailed instructions to access the apartment and directions to the nearest supermarket.. I felt he would have sorted anything out really quickly if I'd had any problems. The apartment could have been cleaner although it wasn't that bad. The kitchen nook was very poky and would really benefit from a microwave. The pillows were very flat, we could have done with 2 each. The phone signal was poor inside the apartment, WiFi would have really helped!
- Marc (3/5): Poor - The location, the coffee pot and the hairdryer…! Cold, not clean, thin curtains, tired decor, broken shower fitting etc.; it just wasn’t comfortable
- Nadica (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Fantastic property for an authentic stay in Venice - Stunning original property in fantastic central location. Window opens to quiet back with canal.
- Simona (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sophie (8/5): Beautiful historic apartment on a canal in the heart of Venice - This place is incredible. It's in a centuries-old palazzo on a canal, in the heart of Venice (San Marco). The apartment is so full of character - stone walls and timber beams, a book-lined stairway, a smattering of art and antiques. There's also a little kitchenette and a decent bathroom. There was a TV (though I couldn't figure out how to use it!) and great air con.
The host was quick and helpful to communicate with, and gave excellent step-by-step instructions on how to get to the property. He also sent over some recommendations for places to eat.
I can't emphasise enough how magical it was to stay on a canal - super near to sights, main squares, cafes and the main thoroughfares (including vaporetto stop just a few minutes away), but also secluded enough that it wasn't crowded or noisy at all. It was so magical to open the window and take in the sights and sounds of the canal. Also, the palazzo that the apartment's in has a beautiful historic courtyard and well that were fascinating in themselves.
The place was quiet - I could hear neighbours at times during the day but had no real issues.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat! A couple of minor points:
There was no bin in the bathroom - not ideal for people who menstruate! There was no shower gel either (though other toiletries, so maybe this was just an oversight).
The shutters blocked out light from the main window perfectly, but there's also a bathroom window with lighter curtains, which let light into the main room via a skylight - so it wasn't possible to sleep in total darkness.
Also, be mindful that you're sharing the palazzo with the Venetians who actually live there, and they might want privacy and for you to not photograph the shared courtyard. One neighbour acted hostilely towards me a couple of times when I was in the courtyard and it was only when she said 'no photos!' I realised why.
- Gillian (7/5): Comfortable and within walking distance to St Marks square - Handy to major attractions Distance from train station, but had excellent directions on how to find the property from the proprietor
- Avalon (8/5): Amazing location and beautiful aesthetic - Amazing location, right in the centre of Venice and next to the canals. The location of the apartment was a higlight and we loved the aesthetic of the place. The apartment was lacking basic amenities such as hand soap, enough toilet paper, kitchen utensils, dish soap and tea towels etc. These were only minor but did affect our overall experience and could be easily remedied for future guests. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and our host was helpful and always responsive.
- Kellie (8/5): Very happy, would stay again. - Cute property, great location and fantastic host. Could use new pillows.
- Sarah (8/5): Large apartment in the heart of Venice - The location of this apartment is amazing, it’s a 2min walk from the Giglio stop which is serviced by the Alilaguna Orange line (boat from the airport, last stop on the line) and the ACTV Line 1 (goes up and down the Grand Canal). it’s also only a 5min walk to St Marks square in one direction and around 5-10 to Rialto in the other direction.
the apartment is a large space, especially by Venice standards, so it was nice to be able to spread out, and come and go as I pleased. Process to collect keys is simple and quick, and good instructions are provided by the owner. I couldn’t get the AC to become cooler. I wasn’t sure how to work the TV (but managed to connect to their Netflix which was good). it would be good to have some printed instructions for these two items, though I am sure I could have contacted the owner to ask.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the room, because it was very traditional venetian room on a water canal. It took 5 min to St. Marco Basilika. The owner was very kind, he helped us to reach the apartment, and he answared the masseges very quick.
- Brice (8/5): Very good -
- Tako (10/5): Exceptional - Great location 🌏 near to main attractions, to be precise Piazza San Marco, easy to get to main train station with water bus line one, station Ferrovia. Station of this property with water bus line one is Maria dei Giglio from train station. Property was clean, comfortable and nice place to stay and spend holiday ❤️
- Bennato (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice, the host was very fast to answer and take care of any questions we had. Great place to stay.
- Sanjeev (8/5): Very good -
- Olive (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely little appartment close to everything and very central. On a quiet street overlooking a canal so you will get a real sense of being in Venice. Highly recommended. The host is extremely helpful.
- Ml (8/5): Very good - Location & price Was not clean enough: floor was dirty & other surfaces were dusty. No art on walls to give charm to the space. No condiments in kitchen. Checking process very challenging due to NOT knowing landlord has sent images in WhatsApp. Very confusing directions over the phone.
- John (7/5): Good - - The location, in the heart of Venice but still able to wander off to back streets to find good priced food.
- The very detailed directions on how to access the property.
- Internet: it was an added bonus with casting device as originally it stated no internet.
- The quiet setting we never saw or heard anyone else - A comfortable sit. After long days of trekking an arm chair would be nice rather than lying on the bed. Or two chairs for dining.
- Aircon sensor is glitchy.
- Tania (10/5): Exceptional - I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The flat was in an ideal location - a walking distance from all the places I visited, yet its surroundings were peaceful and quiet. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The bed was large and comfortable. I travelled alone and felt very safe. Check in and check out time was flexible. There were some misunderstandings when it came to giving back keys, however they were my fault. The owner was very understanding and helpful despite of this problem. I would surely stay here again.
