• SOPHIE (1/5): Appartement à fuir !!!! - Uniquement le lieu géographique Logement Sale en mauvais état, très mal entretenu, la description de l’appartement ne correspond pas du tout à l’identique du logement, il y avait beaucoup de manquement essentiel!!! Aspirateur qui aspire pas malgré que j’ai pris le soin de le nettoyer de nouveau! Et aspirateur rafistoler un peu partout!! Porte intérieur du congèle qui tiens à moitié! Machine à laver, sans étendage! les vitres étaient extrêmement sales! Limite, on ne voyait pas le jour à travers !! Les tapis au sol, très abîmés et tout taché, la literie en très mauvais état!! encadrement de lit rouillé par endroit, latte de lit manquante! sans parler de la rouille dans la salle de bain et dans le fond du toilettes juste cela est inacceptable! les miroirs étaient tout piqué au point qu’il n’y avait aucune visibilité à travers! Sans parler des travaux qu’il y avait au sein du bâtiment avec un joli réveil matinal à 8h ! Rapport qualité prix zéro !! Je loue depuis de nombreuses années auprès de Booking, c’est la première fois que je rencontre un tel problème, APPAREMMENT À FUIR !!!

Probabilmente dettati dalla poca cura degli ospiti precedenti, Soprattutto nei bagni sarebbero da sostituire le cose danneggiate.

Wish we could've stayed longer ! Staying right next to the bell tower was annoying to get woken up to, but ear plugs fixed that issue.

I could reach someone via email if I needed to ask anything which was good Apartment was warm when we arrived which was nice as it was quite cold Bathroom products could be a bit more luxurious, it would add a nice touch Discovered a crack in the floor covered by a rug which wasn’t ideal but luckily we weren’t walking about barefoot - and it was easy to avoid it Couldn’t quite work out how to turn heating down or off - there were no instructions Main door to building was difficult to get into as heavy and warped / it might need looking at

There was no hot water. The beds were not very comfortable.

• Valdeir R Silva (9/5): Veneza, precisa ser visitada, este é um bom local, mas evite malas grandes. - Nossa viagem teve duas característica principais, estávamos em 7 pessoas e fizemos ela com carro. Baseado nisso foi muito boa a hospedagem, fácil acesso, ficamos no que eu entendo literalmente no centro a alguns metros da Ponte Rialto. Este imóvel a solução que tivemos para estacionar o carros foi na área externa de Veneza, antes de pegar a via principal tem grandes bolsões de estacionamento que embora não tivesse muitas avalizações boas não tivemos problema. Estacionamento próximo a € 6,00 a diária. Imóvel em um lugar muito tranquilo, próximo a supermercado e fácilacesso aos principais pontos na região central. Todos os comodos são muito amplos. A falta de um segundo banheiro, mais a região tem suas limitações. E como tinham fotos da sacada do imóvel no perfil de divulgação, ficamos na espectativa de poder ter acesso, mas a mesma estava fechada e não tinhamos acesso.

• Miso (5/5): Wouldn’t recommend booking this place. - The location was great The split level apartment was on level 4, not lift and the staircase was extremely narrow. It was difficult to luggage suitcases up the flight of stairs. The kitchen and day room located on the top floor was unbearable as there was no aircon, the rooms downstairs luckily had aircon.

Staff helped us find the Apartment when we had difficulties. The address given led us to a different location. A confusion re Manin, which is also a location in Castello. The sliding door on one bathroom was stuck which wasn't good for privacy.

• Ka (4/5): Disappointing - It was a bit confusing which apartment on the level we had booked. We somehow found ourselves having accessed the wrong unit on the same level. Everyday during our stay we had other customers trying to access our unit whilst we were sleeping waking us up on several occasions. They were obviously as confused as we were. The sofa bed also looks a bit tired and could probably do with some cleaning. Despite these issue, the staff were polite and helpful when we were in contact with them.

• Maryann (6/5): WE made the best of it considering. - The apartment was clean but it was not easy to fine stuff. We purchased several things and just before the last day we saw some supplies. WE did laundry but the language on the washing machine, was hard to read because it was in their language, not in ENGLISH. WE COULD NOT DRY THE CLOTHING AND HAD TO BRING IT BACK HOME WET. The Garden was nice. the pictures on Booking.com are NOT the same as the Cherubini apartment. WE found one of their locations called Cherubini and left our bags there - once we returned from having lunch at 2:20pm they told us we were at the wrong place, WE THEN SPEND OVER 2 hours trying to fine the location which was very difficult to fine. They did not know where the different locations that we gave them of where we were standing, YET the location was across the square we were stand at for hours. THE Name of the building received in our email was NOT the same name of the location. Finally arrived at the location - because of a restaurant owner, that we asked after 2 hours trying to fine the apartment. WE even experienced the fuses blew out 2xs, after putting on the laundry and using the microwave at the same time. WE called the city apt telephone number provided and left 3 messages and we could not reach anyone. NO ONE ever called us back neither. Lucky that we had our cousin who found the fuse box (NO INSTRUCTED in the book they left us for any emergencies). MY COUSIN was able to reset both times the fuse box when it happen. LAUNDRY ROOM WAS GOOD BUT THE DRFIER WAS NOT IN ENGLISH AND WE BROUGHT OUR CLOTHING BACK HOME WET. NO INSTRUCTIONS IN THEIR BOOK ON HOW TO USE THE WASHING MACHINE NOR THE DISHWASHER - WE HAD A HARD TIME TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT ON OUR OWN. The place had stairs which we knew but it was not easy to carry up our luggage thru the narrow stairs to get to our bedrooms. They also asked me to leave an extra 40 Euros because they said booking.com did not charge us the city taxes. WE LEFT 40 EURIOS ON THE TABLE PER THEIR INSTRUCTIONS. Now I see on booking.com they did charge me $45.00 for taxes additional - someone needs to refund me 45.00 dollars, because they (City apt) THEY NEVER RECEIVED full pay from booking.com - SO THEY SAID. Personally i would not recommend the use of this apartment for adults in the 60s, unless they are 30 years old or younger.

To be honest, it was abit scary going back to the a - The location There were hundreds of mosquitos all around the apartment. One of the window was open when we got there and that was the entryway for them. My daughter got bitten the worst, it was all over her face and eyes. I had to find a pharmacy to get her some itching crème the very next morning. The place is very very dated and the AC doesn’t even make in ti the room or family room.

The pictures online do not reflect this specific - Cherubini terrace apartment too much. This property is over 5 levels with a serious number of steps between each level. Minimal clothes storage in master bedroom and what furniture was there was poor. If poor mobility perhaps not for you.

• Jolynn (7/5): If you book on this website call the property to get more information b/c what you might be surprised when you arriv - The location was great however when you book you don’t know where the apartment will be. It was fairly easy to find and they checked on us after it rained hard to see if we had any issues. Not sure how many City Apartments there are but it is not in the location shown here. The description and pictures are of all the apartments. Even after confirmation, our apartment had a balcony on the description but we did not have one. Also, there was not mention on being on the 3 floor with no elevator and a small staircase. The location was not where we initially thought it was. We had 2 apartments and one had a very moldy smell.

• Yanping (6/5): Good hotel, but make sure you know what you are getting. - The location is great, quite close to main attractions. 1. City Apartments San Marco on Booking.com shows it is right next to the water front, almost next to the Water Taxi. This is not accurate. This place has several apartments. The one we got - Rubino Apartment is about 4 minutes walk northward from the Water Taxi spot, and has no view at all (not even city view, let alone waterfront view). It would have been ok if this info was available at the time of the booking. Imaging you have to walk 4 minutes with your travel luggage in the heavy rain, and there is no car taxi on the island. Water taxi is all you have got.

• Daienne (3/5): Would not recommend this place. - The only thing we liked about this apartment was location. Host gave us very directions that were very simple to navigate. Upon check in (3pm) we arrived to find both apartments had not been cleaned from the previous occupants. We had to leave apartment for over an hour and a half for the cleaners to tidy up and clean. The air conditioners barely worked and the filters were disgusting. In be known to them we had 2 air con techs travelling us. Washing machine : we could not open the door. Then to be told by the host (just use a knife) Therefore no washing facility. I sent an email of our complaints to owner wanting some form of compensation and did not get a reply
• Paul (7/5): Nice apartment, nice location, very poor customer service given the issue was check in was a problem of their own making - Location was excellent We were 3 hours late getting to check in , due to a number of issues. So not satisfactory poor response to communication, complaints about check in not taken seriously told to leave bags unattended and return when apartment had been cleaned, check out 10 am check in 3 pm so plenty time. Did not compensate for late check in as we unable to gain entry and then were rude when asked to leave bags in room for an hour or so after check out time. Do not respond promptly. Felt they rude in responses. Were prompt when asking for city tax had been left on table

• Elsa (6/5): Not what it seems - Location it's probably it's only good feature It was hard to find as it's basically down a alleyway off a main road but doesnt have a road name so google cant quite make out where it is. Very basic apartment, was expecting maybe a welcoming pack with perhaps more than just 2 coffee pods for 4 people for 3 days. There was no sugar or salt/handwash/shower gels. Just simple things like that should be provided. The other dissatisfaction has to be communication it's done via a whatsapp message which is fine and at the end of your stay you are asked to leave the city taxes for the cleaners to pick up. I contact the WhatsApp number the night before we checked out and paid our city taxes through the paypal account given. Only to get a rather rude message through whatsapp in the afternoon once we had checkout to ask why we hadnt paid the taxes and if not paid I would be reported to the police. I checked my paypal account and confirmed payment and the person responding on whatsapp doesnt even know the name of the company its paypal email address is registered with.. I never got a confirmation following text to apologise for their rudeness or to even confirm that payment was indeed received, even after I had chased a day later.

• Lori (3/5): Not up to expectations - The space accommodated our family of 4 adults and 1 child well - (we brought our own crib, there was non provided) there were convenient cafes and restaurants nearby. The unit was easily accessible. I booked this based on the pictures shown for "City Apartments San Marco" however, our unit was very plain providing only the basics, not the colorful description with nice furnishings. It was up 3 flights of stairs. There was a/c only in the 2 bedrooms and could barely keep up. There were no screens on the windows so mosquitos came in. The sheets and towels were clean, but the beds were quite hard, the kitchen was sparsely supplied and the floor was dirty. There was even a prescription pill on the floor - thankfully, our baby didn't find it first! The owner/manager did not meet us but gave very clear instructions on how to get in.
• Tammi (4/5): Location has it pros and cons. Would I want to stay in this unit again? No. - Our check in process went smooth. We did the pre-check in via email the day before our arrival and were provided with the door code and how to locate the apartment keys. The host's directions to get to the apartment were clear as well. The apartment's location was excellent. The cleanliness of the apartment itself was acceptable. No obvious dirt at first glance. The aspect of the location that is a plus is that the apartment is just steps away from the square. I know Venice has all these little alleys to access homes and apartments but this little alleyway was dreary, dark and creepy to us and it smelled unpleasant. Once we unlocked the door we walked into a dark foyer/entry hall. We did figure out where the light was. I might suggest that the light be on in that entryway when guests arrive and perhaps some kind of welcome sign. The stairs were a big drawback. Thankfully we each only had carry-on. You will want to alert guests to this in the listing that the unit is on the third floor and that there is no elevator access. If someone has mobility issues this would be a problem. I only found after I reserved that the unit was on the third floor and there was no elevator access. The carpet going up the endless stairs could use a thorough cleaning and vacuuming. The windows in the living room were hard to open and upon arrival the air conditioning did not seem to work/or we couldn't figure out how to operate it. We managed to open one of the windows after numerous tries. We communicated with the host and they sent someone the next day to address these issues. The weather was sweltering during our visit so the first day (we were only there for two day) was extremely uncomfortable temperature wise in the apartment. The technician fixed the windows and said that we had the air conditioning unit on the heat setting. The technician "supposedly" set it correctly and told us to keep the windows shut so the space would cool. It never did. So we ended up having to open the windows. The unit is right above a street with many stores and restaurants so the foot traffic is heavy and noise level high. This is bothersome late at night when trying to get some sleep. With the air conditioning not working properly we had no option but to leave the windows open and deal with the noise. Having to take the trash to a disposal location seemed ridiculous as there a cleaning fee included.
• Alice (9/5): Highly recommending this to friends for a stay on their next family trip to Venice. - The location was exceptional. Our daughters spent the morning watching the "parade" of gondolas out of our apartment windows. There was a small issue with the AC Unit, the hosts were highly responsive and offered to fix it right away. We declined. The sulfur smell in the building but that's just Venice:-) and has nothing to do with the apartment. By the end, we got used to it.

• Nikki (10/5): Great location and apartment. - The room was much bigger than expected. Very excited to hear the singers on the gondolas come past our window. Airconditioning was fantastic with such warm weather. Location was brilliant. Communication from hotel was also great with regards to arrival and access to the properties. Beds were a little firmer than expected, but that's just personal preference.

• Iva (7/5): Good - Apartment was in great location. Very close to lovely restaurants and St Marco's square. The apartment was clean and spacious but we didn't get the same apartment advertised when we booked it. Host was responsive and friendly. Overall it was adequate especially if you're out all day and just need to sleep in the evening. Location is great. Apartment is a bit dated and facilities old. There was an old dirty sponge in the sink. There was a washing machine but no drying facilities...no drying racks. Beds were uncomfortable to sleep on.
