- Jean (10/5): Venetian Palazzo for real - This is a truly unique apartment in a really interesting district.
- Guest (10/5): Fantastic stay - In our family we have unanimously agreed that this was our best decision to stay in Vintage Venice Apartment. Extremely spacious premises, impressive decor that you could enjoy every minute of your stay and feel the real Venice flavor. Quiet surroundings, at the same time very close to the tourists attractions. If you’re looking for a special place in Venice- here it is! Sad to leave the apartment:(
- bertheaugrandpied (9/5): - Magnifique appartement dans un palais, très bien situé proche d'un arrêt de vaporetto. Attention à penser à prendre le nécessaire pour les moustiques, en tout cas l'été.
- Tina (10/5): - Beautiful
- Anatoli (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (10/5): Staying in this apartment was as central a part of our Venice experience as all the walking and site - This is an enormous, dazzling apartment in a gigantic, historic palazzo, offering an exceptional and unusual experience. It is located in a quiet corner of Venice that is still extremely close to the centre and the big tourist sites. The main "drawback" is that you may not want to leave the apartment... The main rooms are all like museum spaces that are nonetheless for living in. But both bathrooms are clean, modern and very functional, and the kitchen has everything you need to cook at home now and then (recommended, as the Venice markets are so tempting, and then you get to eat in the magnificent dining room!). There was nothing that really bothered us much, but some people who expect all the perfect amenities of a modern hotel might not like some of the "faded grandeur" of the place (chipped or flaking plaster on parts of the walls, antique furniture that looks amazing but is not always the most comfortable; beds were very comfortable though). For us this was "atmosphere" and part of the experience. But some people may just want everything shiny and new--this would not be for them.
- Bridget (9/5): Fabulous Vintage Venice! - We loved the historic grandeur of the place - so much space! Having said that the bathrooms were modern and hot water was plentiful as were the towels. The beds were comfortable, with lots of options for sleeping arrangements. The kitchen was well equipped, though we ate out most of the time. We did enjoy one meal around the fabulous dining table, under a Murano chandelier. We ate breakfast around the large kitchen table. We loved the big windows and the balcony and we eventually got used to folks going about their day to day activities on the canal early in the morning! Nothing major at all, just the hot water never really did appear at the kitchen sink but that was easily remedied by using the kettle/hot water from the bathroom. Also just for British 'normal' kitchen ware, an electric kettle and a toaster would have been nice (rather than stove top kettle and grill). But that'd be nitpicking. Everything you needed was included in the apartment.
- Ana (10/5): An experience not to miss - for forst time in Venice was a perfect accommodation. - It is in a very quiet area - which is super nice given the crowds of tourists in the central area. Yet it is very close to anything one may target seeing in Venice.
The apartment is in an old palazzo, it is huge (250 sq m) and speaks for Venice - we have had a really immersive experience by staying in it during our first Venice visit. It has the old time perfume, gives you the creeps, has doors everywhere, mystery and magic, has amazing view of the canal in front of it, has a nice story and the old decoration and furniture.
The two bathrooms are though newly fitted, it has heating and all the comfort one needs for a pleasant stay.
It is perfect for two families with kids - it has seven places in six beds.
The housekeeper has told us people are renting it for parties - which is indeed very suitable given its size and very large living rooms (it has three).
Kitchen is very large and fully fitted with dish washer, cooking machine, old furniture but everything one needs. We did not use it given the excellent possibilities for all meals of the day in the immediate vicinity. For us it was a bit too large - but that is not a problem of the apartment. Or it is rather a luxury problem.
- Robin (10/5): Beautiful and huge apartment in great location. - This place exceeded all expectations. The pictures don’t do justice to the size or the grandeur. We really felt like we were staying in a palace. The location is wonderful too with loads of great restaurants and close to vaporetto stops. The bathrooms have been updated nicely and the property had everything we needed. It was hard to get my family to leave.
- Anna (10/5): Amazing!! We definitely recommend this apartment to everyone. - The apartment was spectacular; a heritage apartment with luxury rooms and magnificent views of the canals. The kitchen was huge and fully equipped. The beds were firm and very comfortable. It was located in an area without many tourists. The atmosphere was wonderful. Superb in every way. Thank you most sincerely!!
- Carbutt (10/5): Exceptional stay - The apartment is spacious, stunning and enhanced the whole Venice experience. The origanal features, paintings, amazing pieces of furniture and art work make this apartment the perfect place for a stay in Venice.
The kitchen was well equipped and there was more than enough cooking and eating utensils.
It is positioned in the perfect spot on the canal close to everything you need but still quiet and peaceful.
Francesca was amazing meeting us on arrival and talking us through what we needed to know and gave us means to communicate with her throughout our stay should we need anything.
This apartment is a definite must for anyone who wants the whole authentic experience of Venice. Coming home😢😢
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional - Genuine venetian palazzo with amazing decor but with 21st century bathrooms. Stone balcony over the canal. Still in the ownership of the original family including doges and 14th century explorers: loved the history. Good location, peaceful but within easy reach of the main tourist attractions. Kitchen facilities acceptable but minimal. Not a problem as there are good places to eat nearby. WiFi patchy.
