Guest Reviews
- Erica (10/5): Stunning - Felt like a privilege to stay in such an historic place. Beautiful building in a fantastic location. Close enough to access everything but not in the busy centre.
Room was clean, beds comfortable and host friendly and helpful 😊 Nothing
- Hannah (9/5): Excellent would return - Location is excellent
Walking distance to all you need, but a nice and quite location
Room has everything you need. Location
Cleanliness
- Kate (9/5): - Great location and such a great space

- Karolina (10/5): - Beautiful place! Great location!
- C (10/5): Fantastic accommodation in a fabulous city! - We loved the location. The communication was excellent. The Loft was comfortable and provided everything we needed. The size of the apartment was huge. All good although WiFi was intermittent.
- Julie (10/5): Fantastisch! - Prachtige locatie, goede service!

- Peter (9/5): We could see the uffizzi gallery across the Arno. I would recommend this place if you don’t want just a hotel! - It was a 17century palace and we stayed in apartment three which was originally a chapel. Amazing location and value! There was a kitchen but a proper kitchen knife and things like a grater would be a plus.

- Anders (10/5): A Weekend in Napoli - The property, just below Castel Sant’Elmo, nestled in the hillside, is a great launching point to see Napoli’s city center. It was a very clean room, with a fantastic view of the Mediterranean below. Convenient shopping and good restaurants nearby.

- Guest (9/5): Fenomenal.

- Sarah (10/5): - Perfect location, great building

- Javier (10/5): Live like a Florentine... - The Palazzo setting is an immersion into Florentine life. The apartment's location is ideally situated on Via Bardi immediately crossing the Ponte Vecchio. The modern and vintage furnishings make for an accurate combination of what Florence is today. It has the amenities for a complete stay: AC, washing machine, kitchen, and secure building entrance. The shower had great temperature and pressure. The studio is enough size for one couple or a solo traveler.
Ultimately, if you wish you had more time to spend in your apartment during your visit, you'll likely enjoy this property. But alas, the rest of Florence beckons.
The staff were welcoming and able to accommodate an early arrival. This was my second booking with this owner, so it's a pleasure to write this review. They also manage Palazzo Capponi on the same street.
Is it pricey? I booked for high season, so it is comparable to a four-star hotel, with, of course, more privacy. At least how the listing is presented on Booking.com, the photos aren't clear which of the two apartments one books at this address. I wasn't sure which of the two spaces I was getting until I got there.
The kitchen is adequately stocked for basic cooking. Breakfast, light lunch, etc. It was fine for my use. Probably not enough pots or pans for a bigger preparation.

- Mark (10/5): Awesome staff, great location, would visit again. - Brilliant location. Walking distance to every attraction you’d want. The bed was a tad bit small.
- Alanna (9/5): Superb -
- Kitrena (10/5): Modern space in an old palazzo - This place was a delightful surprise. Old palazzo on the outside, funky layout but modern updates on the inside. Quiet rooms, comfy bed, great water pressure, separate WC and shower. Close to many sites of interest, but on the calmer side of the river. Lots of great places to eat nearby. Would stay again. No soap in the shower bathroom.

- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barbora (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adriana (8/5): Very good - Great location. The apartment had character. More a loft style with the bed upstairs overlooking the apartment.
- Jaya (6/5): Pleasant - Location is perfect,
Hotel was unique and beautiful The bathroom wasn’t to good.
The staff don’t clean your room whilst you’re staying there.
Toiletries are not abundant.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional - The staff saw us show up iat the front door in their cameras and came out to greet us right away. Very comfortable, amazing location, they had packages of olive oil, balsamic, coffee capsules, salt and pepper. Very functional kitchen with a small dishwasher. I had a problem using the stove and they came over right away. In the morning, before traffic, you can hear the river. Very peaceful
- Andrew (8/5): Great stay in a large apartment with comfy bed on quiet lane right in the centre. - We arrived at midnight. Excellent instructions re keys, along with a video. Worked perfectly. Really liked huge size of room. Was like a mini apartment. Quirky, small bathroom but more a feature of the owners working with a historic property. Certainly not a negative for us. Bed was comfy. The window is over a lane but was surprisingly quiet considering how central it was. Window has metal grate on outside so no issues with it being open at night. Ground floor so no view but that really doesn’t matter seeing as so many views though city all day! Honestly not much. Probably could have done with more than just the single small sofa as soft seating but hardly a deal breaker!
- Debra (8/5): Quiet and comfortable in a great location close to everything - Great location, really quiet and peaceful but close to everything It was great to have a washing machine, but those on shorter stays would need a dryer not just a rack.
Picky - but - need a little shelf or something in the shower.
- Christina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bradley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vallin (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (8/5): Great location in Florence - Quirky accommodation that was clean and tidy, super close to the Ponte Vecchio. Ideally situated close to some nice bars and restaurants. The bathroom was a bit too quirky but at least functional, but had a bit of a damp smell, most likely due to the accommodation being slightly below street level. It wasn’t enough to put us off. The accommodation would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
- Alejandro (6/5): Good stay in a good location but lot of room for improvement - Very good location and it’s very nice to stay in an old Palazzo. The bed was also comfortable. The apartment has the cute old palazzo aesthetic but needs to be kept more updated and comfortable, especially for the price range its aiming. The furniture is very sparse, the room is extremely dark and the bathroom is not good in this price range: toilet inside the shower and the sewer smell in it definitely needs to be improved.
- Julie (10/5): Magical “home” setting the scene for glorious days in Florence, so close to Ponte Vecchio and beautifully set up. - Incredible privilege to be staying in such an historically significant building. We loved the elegance and simplicity of styling of the living spaces, and the magnificent private courtyard.
- Klaudia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Conghuan (10/5): Great stay - Great location, comfy beds, have all the amenities that we need. Really like the courtyard before walking into my unit. finding the "front office" is a little difficult and confusing. We got to the address and there was no signs. I had to walk through a big door and asked the person who was sitting inside a small office on the right and it turns out he works for the "hotel". I wish there were a small sign outside telling me where to go.
Overall it's not a big deal. I would stay here again.
- Nina (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mango (9/5): Superb -
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely stay.
Great location, and the apartment had everything we needed.
Was great to have a washing machine.
- Fryberger (9/5): A beautiful apartment in a great location we could not have been happier:) - The property is in an excellent location, walking distance to everything in Florence, it is beautiful and modern in a very old and fabulous palazzo. The concierge was excellent and helped us with early/late check ins, luggage storage and airport taxi:) There is a restaurant in the next building that can be heard a little on their busy nights, otherwise a very quiet neighbourhood:)
- Lucy (10/5): Beautiful property in a central location - A beautiful property in a central location but tucked away on a quiet street. The apartment was huge and had all the amenities we could need. The staff was also helpful with the check in & check out process. The only problem was the parking, good to do research beforehand to know where you can & can’t park.
- Olena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patricia (10/5): Wonderful apartment! - If we could give it more stars we would. This apartment was a true gem. It is newly renovated within an old historic building. So nice! The bed was amazing. Our best nights of sleep on our trip. Great coffee shop right down the lane. The apt is right down the street from the famous bridge Ponte Vecchio. Close to all the major sites. Highly recommend! We loved our stay here.
- Leanne (8/5): Very good -
- Teresa (7/5): Great location, what we needed for 5 nights in Florence - The location was excellent , clean and had good facilities Was all ok
- Giovanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brittany (10/5): Gorgeous modern apartment surrounded by such historical features! So close to everything! - Gorgeous modern apartment surrounded by such historical features! Nothing!
- Katelyn (10/5): Best location, would stay here again - Staff was so friendly & this location is perfect! Studio was spacious, bed was comfortable. Loved having a washing machine and drying rack. Also the coffee in the room was SO good. I would absolutely stay here again. We had mosquitos in the room but I don’t think that’s really the hotel’s fault.
- Carole (9/5): Overall had a lovely stay in Florence it’s a gorgeous city. Lots of history, great choice of places to eat and easy acc - Great location. Good facilities everything we needed and very clean. Loved the style of property and building. We didn’t realise there would be mosquitoes and got very badly bitten in the apartment at night. Couldn’t stop them.
- Johengny (10/5): Beautiful place, beautiful neighborhood, just amazing overall. -
- Venter (8/5): Very good -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Great customer service, beautiful apartment, fantastic location - There was an issue (mainly air con not working) with the apartment we had originally booked which looked lovely but they could not fix the issues...staff were brilliant and upgraded us to a beautiful apartment which was amazing. we couldn't have been happier with our stay and the way management resolved our initial issues. Great customer service. Nothing
- Khaled (10/5): Exceptional - The first room had a leak, we called the staff and within 1 minutes they offered 3 different upgrade appartments to choose from. All of their apartments are fabulous and the guy that work there is fantastic!!! All was great
- Vivian (7/5): Great location with a few issues - Absolutely great location and beautiful entry inner courtyard. The room was exactly as advertised, but the air conditioner did not cool the room. This was a problem as the bed is in the loft and heat rises so we sweated and did not sleep well. We went as far as spending 40 euro to buy an additional tabletop fan, which we left for the next person. The bathroom has a vent and fan that is somehow connected to either a utility room or garage as there are fumes that came into the bathroom and got worse if you turned fan on. It was very unpleasant. We kept the bathroom door closed so the smell did not enter the main room, but still, it was unpleasant to enter the bathroom to shower, etc. The room has an efficient kitchenette, a nice washer for clothes, and a lot of character. Tiago was very nice, efficient check in, and even came back to bring us laundry detergent. Air conditioner not cooling room chemical smell in bathroom, and black areas in shower that look like mold. Someone in the building left a used condom on our doorstep, which I understand was a guest as they would need access into the cortyard.
- Susan (7/5): Good -
- Tara (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful and perfect location!
- Jose (10/5): A clean and spacious appartment in an excellent location and in a true palazzo. What else would you need? - The location cannot be any better, close to the center but in a very quiet street. Ample living space, extremely clean and in a gorgeous building (a true old fashion palazzo). Would book it again if we return to Florence. Highly recommended. Nothing
- Jackie (9/5): Superb -
- Chloe (10/5): The most incredible stay. Absolutely gorgeous apartment so tastefully done, immaculate and such a perfect location. The - Absolutely stunning. So tastefully decorated throughout and faultless.
- Jacqui (10/5): Lovely - The size and closeness to town. A feeling of great space . For such. Great space I think there could be a better use of space for the people staying there.
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- Alison (9/5): Overall it was very good and a lovely spacious apartment - It was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Having a washing machine and kitchen was very convenient. Not being serviced daily or even ever second day was a bit disappointing
- Harry (8/5): Very good -
- Vicky (10/5): An exquisite apartment in a perfect location - Perfect location. Stunning interior. Very comfy bed Nothing
- Robert (9/5): Unique place to stay in fabulous, historic Florence. - Brilliant location. Historical setting. Slight mosquito problem
- Nevena (9/5): Wonderful apartment near Ponte Vecchio - Beautiful apartment very close to Ponte Vecchio. We arrived by train so it is a short walk (20 minutes from the train station as well) - bonus point to the walk - you pass by through a lot of tourist attractions so you know immediately haw to plan/organize/orient yourself in Florence.
It is within walkable distance to almost every tourist attraction but at the same time you can retreat to the studio and away from the crowds.
The studio was well equipped - we had a very good bed, kitchen with all appliances and dining table. You could even cook if you want to -we only did a quick breakfast/coffee in the morning.
I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Nothing really.
I would only have appreciated more coffee cups for the coffee machine and more toiletries - travelling light is not ideal for bringing a lot of toiletries and if you stay a bit longer.
- Lisa (9/5): Beautiful property in a great location close to Ponte Vecchio. - Great location, only a short walk from Ponte Vecchio. Comfortable modern apartment. The entrance and communal courtyard are stunning. The property numbers along the road were a bit confusing if you are unaware that some numbers are for garages and others houses. However still fairly straightforward to find.
- Lothar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Euphemia (9/5): Next time we will stay here again! - The host was very kind! Nothing
- Carina (7/5): Lovely place, lovely area, would gladly revisit. - The location was superb and gave us access by foot to the attractions we wanted to visit. The ambience of the Palazzo was perfect, and the neighbourhood lovely. It was quiet at night, and allowed us to sleep well. I wasn't overjoyed with the shower get sachets, as they handle poorly with wet hands. The toilet flush often got stuck, leaving the water to flow (noisily) until you tapped the button again to shut it down.
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shawnda (10/5): Its so neat to be able to stay in an apartment with so much history and yet have all modern touches - Great location ! only a minute away from Ponte Vecchio and about 5 - 15 minute walk to all the major attractions in Florence. The building that the apartment in is approximately 1400 years old and has always been owned by the same family. If you truly want to stay in a piece of original history with all modern amenities, this is the place you want to be. Exceptionably clean, high end sheets/linens, cute kitchen with 2 burner stove, microwave, all dishes and utensils, fridge, and even a washing machine ! We will definitely be back and recommend it to all our friends and family. We loved it. Nothing. All was great !
- Lawrence (8/5): Nicely designed ground level apartment in a very pleasant and convenient location - Layout, use of space, quiet, location Took a bit of online research to figure out controls on stove
- Angela (10/5): Amazing stay with wonderful host. We would definitely come back. - There were many amenities- kitchen, air conditioning and plenty of space. The area is walking distance from sight-seeing but also had privacy from the parties at night. The shower did not drain as properly but otherwise was warm and the water was clean.
- Gina (9/5): A magnificent apartment. Loved it. Would stay there again. - Gorgeous entrance - could hardly believe it was our place! The apartment was modern but interesting. Great location- quick walk to Ponte Vecchio. And apartment had a washing machine which was great. The staff let us keep our luggage there before check in. Air conditioned and comfortable bed. Would have been good to have a drier to dry our washing.
- Darlene (10/5): It was the best apartment in our 6 week visit to Italy. - It was a beautiful apartment. Lots of light, great location. It was in an atmospheric but not good noisy section of town. Check in was easy. Nothing
- Michelle (10/5): Amazing stay in Florence - Amazingly beautiful place to stay, fab location! Nothing! We loved it all!
- Virginia (10/5): Excellent and comfortable stay. - Excellent location. Beautiful building and apartment full of character. Easy booking and check in process. Tiago and the desk staff were helpful with trying to arrange a taxi to the airport during the a National bus strike. Nothing we didn’t like. The only small thing that would have been nice is if there was a shelf in the shower to put toiletries.
- Di (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (8/5): Good location. Historical building. Comfy bed. - Great neighborhood. Close to everything, but not on a noisy block. Bed was comfortable. Historical building with modern amenities. Absolutely gorgeous room with high ceilings. You enter into a courtyard before entering the apartment and it's very charming. The heating and cooling unit is noisy and woke us up several times at night. The wet bath (toilet in the shower) was a little weird. Literally, the shower runs on top of the toilet like a camper bathroom. You have to remember to remove the toilet paper before showering and the shower was slow to drain, so if you have to use the toilet after showering - you have to step into draining shower water. The place is a little difficult to find and the reception desk is in a different location than the appartement. I do not recommend taking the bus from the train station to the apartment. Take a taxi if you can. It would be nice if the staff met you on the block of the apartment rather than making you find the building with the reception desk to get the keys to go to another apartment down the street. It would also be great if the guests could get a historical summary of the place since it is historical.
- Jenny (10/5): The perfect place to stay in Florence - Loved this little apartment. It was in a great location just over the river opposite the Uffizi Gallery. It was in a quiet and safe area so our sleep wasn't disturbed but it was also a very easy quick walk to all the shops, bars, restaurants you could want to visit. This is the perfect location for all the sights as well. We will definitely be back to Florence and this apartment.
- Nikita (10/5): its a nice place - the property is beatiful. the host even gave recommendations on a paper. the host could have kept some nice small things to eat. We got little things like wafers, biscuits, etc. from some other hosts and it was a beautiful gesture. For the cost we were paying they could have added some amenities
