• Roxana (10/5): Stay in a real Florentine apartment - Silvia’s apartment is the perfect stay in Florence. My favourite part? It’s far away from the crowds and tourists (bit overwhelming), yet 20 minutes or less to the main sites and a few blocks from Santo Spiritu bars and authentic trattorias. Don’t stay near the Duomo. Stay in Oltrarno; the closer to Porta Romana, the better. Silvia’s place is a cozy Florence apartment. You feel as if you were staying at your friends or family’s house. You have a room with a big bed and a bunk bed, plus the living room has a sofa bed. I didn’t need such a big place as I was traveling solo, but I’m so glad I found Silvia. Thank you again for the welcoming presents and all the tips, and of course for calling a taxi to take me to the station. Mind you it’s on the second floor (3rd in American terms) and no lift, but I knew this beforehand and Silvia insisted on carrying my luggage herself.

• Bahruz (10/5): Very nice & beautiful house at a great location with a great host lady. Would be coming back again! - Pretty much everything. Silvia - the host lady, was a very nice person. Helped with almost all our questions and gave great directions. Just next to Boboli Gardens, 10 minutes walk to the Old Bridge, close to Carrefour market, and other amenities etc. The home is very stylish and beautiful, at safe and great location, equipped with pretty much everything, including the necessary kitchen utensils and the washing machine (except for a microwave, but we did not care much). The bedroom window opens to a busy street, so it gets noisy (even at night) because of motorcycles + mosquitos. But with an air conditioner, which Silvia installed while we stood there, and the shut windows the problem was resolved and we were very grateful to Silvia! Otherwise, no other issues at all.
• Kelly (10/5): Sylvia was so sweet. She gave us a map and highlighted some favorite restaurants and sights. She was supportive and resp - The apartment was so cute. Brand new AC in the bedroom and a huge fan in the living room kept us cool on some very hot days! Nothing. The walk to the duomo was “long” when it was hot (like 20 ish minutes) but the location was actually so nice to get away from the crowds and the noise across the river.
• Charl (9/5): Superb - A comfortable family apartment within a stiff walking distance to historic center of Florence, but served by frequent and easy bus transport. Well equipped kitchen. Note that there are a few flight of stairs. Traffic noises at night means keeping the bedroom windows closed. A very comfortable stay with a good host a short telephone call away.

• Groves (10/5): Florence is an unbelievable city, and Silvia's appartement puts you right in the middle of things. - This is an amazing appartment right in the center of Florence. Everything was within walking distance: The Plaza Vechio, the Duomo, even the train station was walkable. Sivia was an awesome host and helped us figure out things that we needed to do. I would definitley recomend staying here. In fact, we are already talking about coming back to visit again. Nothing really. The place was awesome.

• Jennifer (8/5): Nice older apartment. - Sophia was very accommodating. The facilities are very good. The kitchen was well stocked. I know it is normal however no screens in the bedroom lead to me getting bitten by bugs and consequently we needed to keep the windows closed. The room consequently was warm and stuffy.

Coffee machine, tea, water, gift battle of wine - all help to start enjoying your vacation from the beginning of your stay in the apartments. Silvia was very pleasant and always willing to help. A small note. There was a washing machine and dishwasher at the apartments but no detergent.
• Jarle (9/5): Overall a very good stay, thanks to Siliva for the hospitality. - Silvia was a very good host. Our arrival time was moved back and forth a bit during the day and Silvia was accommodating and helpful despite having to wait long for us. She was always very responsive and helpful. The location of the property is very good - just outside the main tourist cluster but close enough that the centre is easily reachable by foot and public transport. I worked outside the centre and it was even better because of that. Overall the flat is well-enough equipped and has the feel of a lived-in space which makes for a comfortable stay and a relatable space in contrast to a hotel room. There is a nearby supermarket and also many restaurants if that is what you prefer. The bedroom is on the side turned towards the road so there is a bit of road noise, noticeable in the morning. The flat is also up a few stairs without a lift - that was not an issue for us but be prepared if you are lugging big suitcases.
• Ronald (10/5): The property added to a wonderful visit to Florence. Would stay here again if we had an opportunity - Sylvia met us at the property and showed us around the apartment. She has left written instructions in regard to some housekeeping matters and had gifted us a "welcome" bottle of wine. Silvia was easy to contact and has several books in several languages on what to do and see in Florence. The apartment is well set out, quiet and very homely. There was nothing that we didn't like

• Josephine (9/5): Fantastic location, lots of artisan shops and cafes nearby and an easy walk to the centre of Florence. Sylvia was a grea - Fantastic location with lots of restaurants, cafes etc close by and less than a 15 minute walk to the centre of Florence.
• Martina (10/5): I recommend to stay there, tidy apartment, well equipped, great location. - Great location, it's very close to Boboli Gardens and Palazzo Pitti but also to the city center and the train station. We met friendly landlady who gave us the keys and showed us the apartment. There is a coffee machine but also coffee capsules, tea, sugar. At nights you can hear sounds from the street, motorbikes drive on it until midnight, but the equipment of the apartment (e.g. towels of very high quality, a washing machine) plus its location balance it. There is no lift in the house (and the stairs are narrow) and noisy motorbikes on the street in the evenings but it is not landladys fault.

• Stephanie (10/5): Charming local neighbourhood close to Firenze centre - Location was fantastic, out of the busy city centre but still within walking distance. Lots of local cafes, bars, and boutique shopping. Reasonably quiet and lovely view. Silvia was friendly and responsive, in person and via whatsapp. Dishwasher detergent would have been nice. Also be mindful that there are a couple flights of stairs if you have luggage.

She gave us amazing restaurant and activity recommendations and was very responsive to any questions we had. The air conditioner didn’t keep the room cool so it had to stay on most of our stay.

Silvia was very helpful providing a thorough orientation and helping us make taxi reservations to train station. No clothes dryer on site, but there was a wash & dry service down the street.

• Patricia (10/5): Definitely recommend Silvia the owner and her apartment and would stay here again - Owner Silvia was exceptional in looking after us - including when I rescheduled as well as assisting us re a bus/train Bologna connection at 1am - even contacting us at 1am to ensure we caught the taxi! Can't praise Silvia enough. The apartment is lovely - with the dining and kitchen overlooking quiet gardens and has full functionality - we were not lacking anything. Comprises shower room; bathroom; extensive kitchen; dining area; sitting area (includes fold down beds); raised sitting platform area; bedroom with double and bunk beds. Located in a traditional and quiet area; with easy walking access to the centre and with many supermarkets nearby, ensuring easy to eat in the apartment. Would definitely stay here again. • Vickymarg (10/5): It was like a home away from home. - Very well equipped with everything you might need, full kitchen, coffee maker, washing mashine, powerful conditioner and more. Oltrarno Home is roomy, comfortable, and clean. The owner, Silvia, is very warm and accommodative person. Due to delays, we arrived 4 hours late, at midnight. Silvia was there to greet us and thoroughly show us around the apartment, she also kindly left us milk and cake. Moreover, her suggestions about local restaurants and attractions were very helpful. Overall great experience and we will definitely stay again at Silvia Oltrarno Home next time we're in Florence! Everything met our expectations. I couldn't think of anything we didn't like.
