Guest Reviews
- Pauline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dita_prague (9/5): Superb - Beautiful place, great location, well equipped. Love it.
- Mele (8/5): Very good - Spacious, well appointed, outstanding location. Lovely host Valentina, was helpful and understanding. The street is convenient and quiet with unexpected charms, like the neighborhood Trattoria Aticca with simple and delicious food and nary a tourist in sight. The sole disappointment was the construction that is going on next door and across the terrace. The noise is from 8-5pm daily. The amount varies, sometimes it is not much other times it is pounding. It will likely be going on through Spring 2025. If you plan to be out and about during the day, it will be fine, but if you like to sleep-in, or nap during the day, you might consider otherwise.
- Alison (9/5): Superb - Amazing location, walking distance to all the sights. Lovely, comfortable apartment, with all you need.
- Matthias (9/5): Quiet place in the middle of town - This is a very nice and really quiet place in town. Equipped with whatever one needs, one could even spent a longer time there. Valentina was super nice, and we had a very warm welcome. Unfortunately, there is a temporary constrution side next door, but Valentina told us and even offered to cancel our reservation. After all it was not too bad, because we spent most of the time in town. We would definitely come back, but Florence is full of people and one has to pay 5.50 per night and person as a tourist tax, what is in particular anyoing, given that the day tourist, that are the biggest part of over tourism do pay nothing. Nothing to complain.
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Dirk (9/5): Really a quiet appartment in the centre of Firenze (Duomo on 300 m). - Contact with the owner. No impersonal code. Very friendly and helpfull owner.
The best equiped appartement we ever had.
With a very nice terrace. Maybe a cooker hood in de kitchen would complete the kitchen
- Ian (10/5): Wonderfull - Traditional apartment, very clean, lovely private terrace garden in the very heart of Florence (10 Min from the Duomo) Nothing
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marisa (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is in an excellent location. Host was to hand if needed anything and was very accommodating. The garden terrace was lovely. We liked everything, but I would say there are a couple of flights of stairs, so it may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
- Richard (9/5): A superb apartment with amazing terrace in heart of medieval city - Prefect location in heart of medieval city. Sadly the weather meant we couldn’t make full use of the excellent terrace. The kitchen equipment was amazing and comprehensive Building works in the adjoining property was very noisy at times although we appreciate this was totally beyond the owners responsibility
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect location, beautiful decor. - Location was amazing nothing
- Judy (9/5): Great apartment - Very quiet property and yet well located. Valentina and her son Gregorio were very friendly and available yet discrete. The bed was comfortable and shower was good. Very well equipped kitchen. Nothing
- Bronia (10/5): Just perfect! - This property is perfect. Valentina is very friendly; it is beautifully furnished and the large terrace has a lovely view. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a large fridge-freezer and a washing machine. Everything is spotlessly clean and the place is very secure.
And yes, it is wonderfully quiet, yet all the facilities, and the places you’ve come to Florence to see, are in easy walking distance. There was nothing I didn’t like!
- Lina (10/5): Exceptional - Location, cleanliness, terrace, bed, everything you needed was in the kitchen. Turn right outside the beautiful doors, and in 3 minutes you are in a small piazza with a great selection of restaurants. The grocery store go left. All the amazing sights are a beautiful walk away. I could go on and on. Valentina, our host, is so nice and helpful. We enjoyed our 6 days in Firenze so much we now feel homesick, Grazie Valentina you will see us again 😊 😘 Loved everything ❤️
- Anthony (9/5): Great stay in comfort central apartment - Comfortable roomy very well equipped apartment within easy walking distance of all the sites. Lovely balcony area and handy mosquito screens over the doors . Valentina was very accommodating with check in and very friendly Nothing
- Michelle (10/5): Lovely central apartment in a quiet place - The apartment was central to walk to everywhere and in an area that was quiet.
We loved the patio to chill out after a day out walking to put our feet up.
It was furnished in traditional Florence style which was authentic and to our liking.
Clean and everything you need in an apartment. There wasn't anything we didn't like - One tip I would give is to include a bottle of water in the fridge for arrival - that would have gone down well after a day of travelling.
- Lewis (9/5): great stay, would recommend to others - lovely apartment and quiet beatiful outdoor deck area no air conditioning
- Neil (10/5): The only place to stay in the city of Florence - The apartment is perfect with regards to its location and its facilities. It's just a few minutes walk from the cathedral and in a lively and interesting part of the city with numerous bars and restaurants, but the apartment itself is peaceful with a beautiful terrace overlooking a quiet hotel garden. The whole apartment is secure, spacious and comfortable, with every facility that you might want and the bed was very comfortable. Valentina was a perfect host, warmly welcoming despite our travel delays. There is nothing that could have been better.
- Ian (9/5): A lovely time in Florence in a delightful apartment which lived up to its name - Superb central location but in a quiet side street. The terrace was peaceful and quiet. The apartment was traditional and well equipped It was unfortunate that when we stayed building work was being undertaken in adjacent apartments. This didn't really spoil things and would only be temporary
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - Quirky, spacious accommodation, very helpful and friendly host. Comfortable bed, delightful patio.
Within walking distance of most major sights The w/c is very tight
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Glenn (8/5): great place, historic character - location, patio, everything provided many different levels, not suitable for one with any limitations
- Yvonne (9/5): loved Florence and Chianti region, learning the history and exploring the amazing sightings - central location, lovely quiet terrace and apartment had everything you needed could do with a small bistro table on the terrace for drinks
- Boriss (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): excellent -
- Joanne (8/5): Very good - Locations, cleanliness, host, safe/secure, comfort and facilities The heating was not on for a couple of nights...a bit cold
- Pierre (10/5): Exceptional - Great apartment, lots of charm, very nice host
- Susantana3 (9/5): I will try to book this lovely comfortable quiet place every time I visit Florence. - The location couldn’t have been better! Was minutes from the Duomo and several wonderful places to dine and was still so quiet you wouldn’t know you were in a city. Surrounded by churches and church bells and adjacent to a hotel with a lovely courtyard that was visible from the wonderful private terrace. The bed was extremely comfortable and the apartment was charming and very homey. There are a couple small grocery stores nearby that were well stocked. Surprisingly, it seemed that everyone did their grocery shopping on.Sunday evening! A really excellent pasticceria was a 3-minute walk away. As is typical in Italy, there were no screens on the windows and no mosquito netting. Because the weather was so warm I had to keep the windows open at night and even with the ceiling fan on, I got a few new mosquito bites each night. The other thing to be aware of is that the apartment is on the second floor and there’s no elevator so you have to carry luggage up two flights and then down 1/2 flight of a very narrow stairway to reach the apartment. Valentina the host was very helpful with this and even helped me drag my luggage out to the curb for an early morning departure. She also called the cab for me the day before.
- Leonora (10/5): Valentina was a wonderful host. The apartment is very charming and the balcony is beautiful. It looks onto one of the fe - great location
