• Julie (6/5): Disappointed in the condition of the building. - Great location very central. Felt the property when you first entered was in need of paint and clean up .Smelt very damp and we didn’t feel it was healthy. Washing machine smelt and had mould so we couldn’t use it.
• Christine (10/5): Cute apt with quick access to all the attractions - Fantastic location near everything, I really don’t think it gets much better. Apr was well equipped and was very comfortable. The two full baths were great especially with two teenage girls traveling.
• Damla (8/5): Appartement situé dans l'hypercentre et dans une rue calme. - L'appartement est idéalement placé, à proximité de tous les lieux et monuments intéressants. Il est situé dans une petite rue calme (sauf quand il y a des travaux). Vous avez une supérette à 5 minutes à pieds. L'immeuble est doté d'un petit ascenseur. L'appartement est situé au premier étage (plus proche d'un deuxième étage) à l'arrière, donc vue charmante sur d'autres terrasses. Deux chambres, deux salles de douche, une petite terrasse (pour 1 personne à la fois). Un salon /salle à manger assez spacieux avec cuisine bien équipée. Malgré nos recherches, nous n'avons pas trouvé de boulangeries dans le centre de Florence. Manque de luminosité mais c'est aussi le charme des vieux immeubles. La légère humidité pour la chambre qui possède une salle de douche et ce, malgré le système d'aération.(la deuxième est dans le couloir). Nous avons eu deux jours le bruit des ouvriers qui rénovaient la façade et le toit. Un casque de sécurité des ouvriers et des petits gravats sont tombés sur la terrasse. Les chaises qui grincent fort. Les voix des voisins de l'appartement juste à côté. Mais tout cela ne nous a pas empêché d'apprécier cet appartement.

• Janis (8/5): Very nice apartment, shame about rude host who is not able to accept slightest constructive criticism. Did not spoil ou - Beautiful rustic apartment, great location in the heart of Florence, close to all major attractions. Was comfortable for our stay. Building works (scaffolding outside property), which we had no warning about was quite worrying at first sight. Especially smelly portaloo, for builders. Broken light switch in bedroom on arrival, meant lights worked intermittently, and very rude host. Did not listen to any response from me about not receiving messages. Host only tried to contact one ( not several phones) phone/email, but would not listen about no service then no battery. Phone was left in room recharging whilst we were out for first evening there. Unfortunately I had no choice with this. Three other people in our party who were all shocked by her behaviour and rudeness asked me ‘how I kept my cool?’ But still no responsibility taken for this rudeness! Take a long hard look, host is argumentative in all reviews with anyone who says anything slightly negative and will no doubt still continue to argue. Such a shame as a beautiful apartment, but customer service is paramount!
• Janis (8/5): Comfortable rustic apartment, in the heart of a beautiful town. - Spacious, clean, rustic 2 bedroom apartment right in the heart of Florence. Had everything we needed for a very enjoyable 6 nights in a beautiful town. We were not warned about the building works outside (scaffolding), so it was really off putting on first arrival, but didn’t affect what the inside of the property offered for our stay, which was comfortable. Host was very rude. Said several messages were sent to inform us that passport details needed to be provided on day of arrival. We received one message which was at the end of a very in long email. Email was delivered after arrival at the property, which wasn’t seen due to poor service. Admittedly, there was a post it note, left in room, but was unfortunately not seen until after due to it being covered by a bag by one family member. We were woken on the first night, after 10.30pm by the host shouting and almost breaking the door down. When I tried to politely explain that I hadn’t seen the mail, she was very argumentative and still shouting. Apparently she had never experienced guests like us, which I now find hard to believe, given there was a similar review. What these host must realise is that travelling to another country affects our internet/phone connections and our first thought after a long journey is not to sort WiFi and read long emails. Light switch was broken on arrival and the main lights in the biggest bedroom worked intermittently. Again when host was informed, I was told it wasn’t broken on arrival. Lesson learned, take a picture on arrival! Shame about such a rude host, as this behaviour doesn’t compliment her lovely apartment.

Close to lots of bars and restaurants but was nice and quiet, it is though, quite a walk from the station , so maybe get a taxi, if you’re coming in to Florence via the train, it’ll be the only time you’ll need one Not great light as there were lots of other buildings around and this meant that any rain puddles never really dried up, creating an oasis for mosquitoes we think, Also the apartment felt a little damp and cold despite May weather, the en-suite shower was also permanently damp despite the extraction fan being on, so again lots of mosquitoes there too

• Leda (10/5): Exceptional - Few places we have stayed have the details of this apartment. There is everything. Many kitchen utensils, soap to wash hands in bathrooms and kitchen, cleaning cloths, oil, salt, pepper, a complete book of recommendations, good taste in decoration, washing machine, dishwasher... it means, there are many kindnesses that few hosts have with their guests. In general, it is a very nice place that makes you feel at home. The location is quite good because everything is close. The use of heating is, perhaps, a bit arbitrary. The time slot 6-10 am and 6-10 pm is very necessary, especially if it is cold and rainy outside. For the rest, I would have no problem repeating. I am going to recommend it to friends and colleagues who come to Florence.
• Jennifer (9/5): We loved our stay at the Oasis! We didn't want to leave! - The flat was clean and comfortable, with two rooms with cozy queen beds and two bathrooms with very nice showers. The kitchen was well stocked with necessities; the sitting room had four big chairs and an eating table. TV had Netflix so we finished a series we were watching at home, which was great when we were exhausted from the day. The flat was perfectly located for us, within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see in the city. The street itself was quiet and well-lit for going out at night. The building was locked as well as the gate inside the building, and the halls were well lit. This is not a dislike for us, but noteworthy. The flat is several flights upstairs. There is a charming but very small elevator that opens on the first landing (so there is at least one set of stairs that must be used) that will hold 2-3 people, or 1-2 people with one piece of luggage at a time. We used the elevator on our first and last days to move our luggage; it took a couple of trips. All other times, we took the stairs. It was fine for us as we are fit, but notable for those who are unable to navigate several flights of stairs.

• Daragh (10/5): Perfect Tuscan oasis - The apartment was a little taste of Tuscany, a quiet oasis in a busy city. Everything went smoothly, the check in process was made very easy. The apartment had everything we needed, was clean and very comfortable for 4 adults. The area was fabulous, close to everything, with a huge variety of restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend it.

We had a small miscommunication issue, but it was sorted out directly with the host.

• Miller (10/5): Exceptional - I liked everything about our stay in Oasis! The location was perfect - off the beaten path, actually snuggled amongst everything you'd want to see and do in a short trip (3 nights) in Florence. The apartment was quaint and charming. It had everything needed and more. Linens were crisp and fresh and the beds comfortable. Having the washer was especially nice as we had been in country for a week prior to arriving in Florence. Interactions with Marie were a pleasure - she was truly a gracious hostess. I do not have a complaint. My travel mate is claustrophobic which means the elevator freaked her out but that was explained in the entry instructions. The elevator is small and super cool, if you don't mind confining spaces. Steps were available and we used them except to transport our luggage (thank goodness 😅)!
