Guest Reviews

- Gitte (9/5): Fantastisch! We hebben van alles genoten. - De locatie. De gezellige sfeer in de woning. Het heerlijke balkon met een prachtig uitzicht. Muggen🤔
- Elena (10/5): a great choice for those looking to stay close to the center and in a comfortable apt - the position is amazing .... walking distance to ponte vecchio and the center , without being noisy ! we loved the apt , was spacious and beds very comfortable

- Will Foord (10/5): Great location, helpful and friendly hosts, just far enough away from centre to be quiet. - The location was perfect, just on the quieter side (from the main city centre) across the famous Ponte Vecchio. A nice distance to walk after dinner in the town and not far at all if laden with shopping bags.
- susan (9/5): Fantastic stay in the heart of Florence highly recommended - Very comfortable, well appointed, great view
Great to have bathroom for every bedroom Need to go up steep hill then four flights of steps- not suitable for anyone with any restriction in mobility, needs to be stayed in description.
- David (9/5): Great Location & Great Stay - Very easy to coordinate key pickup with Veronika, the property manager, & we were in touch with her upon our arrival. The apartment was as advertised, with an incredible view of the Duomo from our balcony, & also the disclaimer about the hill that the street is located on & the stairs to the third floor of the property properly set our expectations. Overall, the place had plenty of space for our party of 5 & was excellent. The 3 bathrooms definitely helped as well for showers & when the time came to get ready to go out, as we were not all waiting for one bathroom. Wonderful stay & I would highly recommend it. The aforementioned hill & stairs, but again was fully documented & not much could be done about that. Just made for one last bit of exertion after a long day of walking. Unfortunately, the only issue we had was that the WiFi was out in the entire building, which made for a bit of a challenge in checking e-mails & getting online without paying extra for data rates while overseas. However, the owner, Mario, was fully in contact on this issue & very attentive & even reduced the price of our stay a bit to accommodate for this unforeseen problem.
- Anne (8/5): Spacious apartment with great views. - Veronica was pleasant and efficient, she met us and showed us around the apartment. Payment in cash was not a problem. She responded to our messages immediately.
The AC unit in the communal area kept it cool, with individual units in the bedrooms.
The terrace was wonderful, we enjoyed morning coffees and evening drinks taking in the view. As described in the description, there are many stairs so just be aware it could be difficult with children, heavy luggage or people with mobility issues.

- Lina (3/5): I would not go back…… - The view was pretty and the balcony was a nice size. I was very disappointed that the place was not like the pictures. The pictures show white clean walls, let’s just say they really need a paint job or at least update your pictures. Place did not feel
Clean. Air conditioner was not stronger at all. As if they had it locked so you can’t make it colder. I was there during a heat wave and had no relief inside the apartment. They had small portable blow driers in the washrooms which none of them worked. The iron plug was faulty.
It’s situated on a hill and then you have another 67 steps, the staircase walls are dirty and narrow and a little steep.
Property owner should be honest with the renters and update their pictures…..
- Maria (5/5): Passable -
- Dorcas (9/5): Beautiful appartment in fantastic location. - Fantastic location. Beautiful old building with lovely view from the terrace. Three bathrooms great when there are lots of you. Stairs were managable for us, but might be difficult for some.
- Pascale (10/5): Gorgeous apartment in Florence - Fabulous place! We loved the views from the balcony. We were six couples and it was plenty of room for everyone. The stairs need a call out. We are a fit group and didn’t mind walking up them but they are incredibly narrow and steep. But it’s worth it for the view - your own rooftop bar essentially with surely some of the best views across the city. The bedrooms were large and comfy and we enjoyed having a dishwasher and clothes washing machine.
- Helena (9/5): Quirky Apartment with view of duomo - The apartment was quirky and had amazing views .
Lovely central location .
We were prepared for the steps and hill- from previous reviews It may be helpful to provide basic food essentials- perhaps some water and milk -
- Kate (10/5): Perfect location! Very well-thought-out amenities. Lovely place to explore from but also to relax in. - Fantastic location and very comfortable to relax in. I liked everything!
- Geoffrey (10/5): Great stay. Thank you so much for a wonderful place to stay for our family holiday. - The property was very close to all attractions.
- Danielle (8/5): The apartment suited us as we were travelling with a group of 5. The apartment had two lounge rooms so plenty of space t - The property is in a good, central location to Florence attractions. I wouldn’t recommend this property for people with knee or hip issues, pregnant woman or anyone with mobility issues. Something to note; if travelling with heavy suitcases, the property doesn’t have a lift and there are several flights of steep stairs leading up to the apartment. The apartment is dated and shower recesses are very small.
- Mosor (10/5): Very good - The view was incredible. The location is pretty close to the city center. The apartment is nice and cozy. It is a bit hard to get to the apartment because of the stairs, but a nice view comes with sacrifices :)
- Richard (8/5): Spacious, authentic apartment set in a wonderful location. - The views were amazing, and the whole place was very spacious for our group of six people. The three separate bathrooms were also very convenient. Also a wonderful location within walking distance to so many sites and places of interest. The unit had AC units, but they seemed locked into a set temperature. We went in October, but it did get very stuffy with these limitations. We didn’t want to bother our host, and ultimately this was a small inconvenience though in comparison to the highlights.
- Jeremy (8/5): I loved the stay. The managers were really good with communication. Really close to Ponte Vecchio. - Close to everything. Has everything you need. View is great. Is a bit small for 6 people. The hill and stairs was hard for some of our party. I loved the exercise! It is clear in description. So I told them to stop complaining.
- Oliver (9/5): Lovely apartment for a three night stay - The views and hotel was very roomy! Great location near to the bridge and ice creams yummy! 20 mins walk to the station. The only negative comment other than the stairs was our friend who was sleeping upstairs got bite by a mozzy so ended up sleeping on a mattress half in the bathroom half in the corrdior by the double bedrooms :D but then we realised when leaving there was mozzy bug things in the kitchen after all!
- Veronica (10/5): 4 flights up with no lift but worth it - the views from the terrace
- Darren (1/5): Bad - There was nothing exceptional, or even good about this property There are so many things to list that either weren't mentioned or should have been in the description of this property. So, the problems... the walk up the steep hill out of town, the 5 flights of steep narrow stairs to the apartment, dirty furniture (the lounge chairs are grimy and parts of the floor have years of dirty/debris), dirty apartment generally, dirty balcony with room perhaps for two people only, ultra firm mattress, small showers, lack of cleaning and toiletries products (these were leftovers from other guests), no tumble dryer or oven as advertised, broken clothes rack, no tour desk or onsite parking as advertised, only one wine glass in cupboards, no sharp knife at all in the kitchen. The fridge and AC's were obviously only activated just prior to our arrival and took overnight to get on top of the residual summer heat (40 deg Celcius). We feel an apartment at this price point in Italy should have had a coffee machine but it didn't, again there was previous guest's coffee of various types left there (one was baked hard). It's worthwhile knowing the nearest cafe/restaurant was roughly 100 metres away. Note, we are fit, healthy people without weight or mobility problems. We would rate this apartment as a 1 star that is nowhere near the worth of its nightly rate which compares with 4 star hotels in the tourist centre of Florence nearby. We greatly regret this experiment with a small property and won't be caught out again. I will comfirm Veronica was helpful and attended quickly to requests.
- Stephen (10/5): Relaxing family home - Great position and great hosts All was good
- Wendy (8/5): Overall good value - Size was good- having multiple bathrooms made our busy schedule easier Air con doesn’t really cover the downstairs living area/kitchen so quite hot but bedrooms were fine; lots of stairs was hard with luggage but view was nice
- Seamus (10/5): Amazing place, close to everything with an amazing view - The balcony had a beautiful view and the property was very close to everything in the city there could have been more bowls
- Catalin (10/5): Exceptional - Location great, 5 mins to Ponte Vecchio. Host - Mrs. Veronica, very nice. The Restaurant recommended by the host very good. The apartment is located at the last floor, very cosy and with a good vibe. We liked it a lot! Everything was great.
- Diana (8/5): Not bad, not stellar - Pros: great location in spite of the hills. View from the balcony is lovely. Church chimes are beautiful. Good space for a group of six. Three bathrooms was lovely. Didn’t realize how much so until later when we had an apartment with only one. Washer and drying rack worked great.
Given the price of 300 E per night I was hoping for a bit more Cons: incredibly uncomfortable furniture, and beds. Owner rectified this a little with a memory foam topper when asked the morning after the first night when I could barely stand up straight. No good cutting knives or bowls. Loose toilet seat from previous review still not fixed. Main door lock is fussy.
Worth noting the stairs and hill not good for people with disabilities.
- Lisa (6/5): Too many stair steps! - Great location-very close to the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi.
Great air-conditioning after a hot day.
Clean enough. I had booked the property several months in advance and thought I had paid for it. There was quite a bit of communication between me and the operator of the property and it was not mentioned that we had to pay when we got there. The misunderstanding was on me quite a bit, but I did not appreciate the demand for payment right as we got to the property.
There are 68 stair steps from the bottom of the apartment building to the apartment itself. That is A LOT of steps after a long day of walking. They are also quite scary.
The apartment building itself is on a very steep hill that you have to walk up before you walk up the 68 steps. All in all very exhausting.
The apartment itself is not really worth the climb. The furniture is very uncomfortable and dated and made relaxing at the end of the day nearly impossible. The pillows on the bed are very flat.
- Becky (6/5): Several issues. - The view and terrace was wonderful. The steep stairs were hard to climb. We were shouted at by one of the neighbours because we were struggling and weren’t shown where the lights were which made it really dangerous.
The toilet seat and shower screen were broken in the upstairs bathroom.
We were made to pay cash which we were not aware of and caused stress.
- Fran (9/5): Lovely spacious apartment in THE best location! - Fabulous location, just a few minutes walk to Ponte Vecchio. Very spacious. Great kitchen. Even had dishwasher tablets and washing machine liquid if you wanted to use them. Beds were a little hard but we all slept like logs! Clean bed linen and towels. Having 3 bathrooms was so convenient. Plentiful hot water. Loved the terrace was enough room to have nibbles and drinks and enjoy sunny evenings listening to church bells. Aircon was appreciated. Supermarket down bottom of hill. Not cheap but lots of choice. About 20 minute walk to train station. Was fine with cabin cases. Wouldn't recommend walking if you have large cases as very busy and cobble stone footpaths. We knew to expect apartment was up a hill and then have 69 steps and it was absolutely fine and we're all in our late 50's.
Few minor niggles-The door lock was really frustrating and feel does need replacing.
Sofa is worn and could do with replacing.
The upstairs shower is under eves so not suitable for tall people.
Could do with more hanging storage in upstairs roon- possibly utilise the seating area.
- Katie (9/5): Superb -
- Dietmar (7/5): Good -
- Dayna (10/5): Wonderful visit to Florence. Veronika was absolutely amazing and so accommodating, thank you! - The authenticity of the property, spacious, great view on a great street
- Anne (8/5): Lovely apartment - A very comfortable apartment with a pretty view over the rooftops to the Duomo. Very close to a lot of the attractions. The steep climb to get to the building, followed by 58 steps up to the apartment. We did know we were on the 4th floor without a lift, but the 2 combined was hard work.
- Anonymous (5/5): Overall the place was functional. - Location close to all the sites. When it rained, water was coming in from the roof.
No towels in the kitchen to keep kitchen clean.
Property was up a steep hill and then a whole lot of steps to the apartment. On Booking.com they let you know there was no elevator, we overestimated our fitness to be able to handle it.
Could not get washing machine/ Dryer to work.
- Darran (8/5): Comfortable apartment in a great location. - Great location, close to amenities, supermarket, key sites and the river. 3 bathrooms meant that we all had some privacy. Communication and information from the owner was excellent. Very little to dislike. The steps up to the apartment were a good work out and they would be a challenge for anyone who wasn’t fit. The front door key to the apartment jammed a few times but a very minor point.
- Ellen (10/5): Gorgeous view from the balcony of this very comfortable apartment - This was my favorite stay on our multicity holiday. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. It is located on a hill and there are multiple steps up but we were prepared for that and were rewarded with a fantastic view and a very comfortable place to stay. Would definitely recommend this place. Florence itself exceeded my expectations as well and was definitely my favorite city. They accommodated our request to drop our bags at the apartment earlier than regular check-in and we were met at the apartment - this was very much appreciated as it allowed us to maximize our time. Had no issues
- Lyndsay (10/5): Fantastic location - Great location
3 bathrooms Nothing
- Holly (7/5): Perfect location but needs better beds - You cannot fault the location of the property it was fantastic and the view is lovely! Stairs to apartment as advertised are steep! But mostly the beds were extremely uncomfortable to the point none of us had a good night sleep. Also have a very grumpy and rude neighbour that shouted at us for leaving the apartment.
- Anthony (10/5): Read above - No breakfast included Where should I start? Let's see
I am being very honest,STAY AWAY from Florence, the Taxi system sucks, you can't get a Taxi if your life depends on it,can't flag down a Taxi, when you call a taxi they hang up,WTF,there is only one Taxi company, I can't help but wonder who controls the Taxi system...(if you know what I mean). My wife and I are here for seven weeks,I an Italian born in Canada, traveling all across Italy we found this scam happening in all parts of the country In major centers, what a f-ing disgrace, having said this, the rail system here is exceptional,
- Liz (8/5): amazing view of duomo - beautiful view and fantastic location. veronica was very lovely and helpful at check in there are a lot of stairs but this was known to our party and entirely manageable
- Rebecca (8/5): Felt as if we lived in Florence rather than staying there in holiday. Charming apartment with beautiful views in a great - Cosy and charming apartment. There were a few miscommunications during our stay - might be helpful to have an information brochure in the apartment to avoid this!
- Martina (10/5): Great apartment in a good locality with an amazing view of the city - The apartment was located in a nice locality close to most of the city's main attractions. The view from the apartment was amazing. AC in each of the rooms is a big plus.
- Jill (10/5): Perfect, better than photos. - The view is amazing, the apartment is beautiful. It’s the Florence apartment of dreams. Nothing. The steps are hard but as long as you are prepared for that before you book it is as described. Don’t book if u health conditions,
- Chloe (10/5): One of the best views in Florence - The property was perfect, the view was stunning and Veronica was so welcoming and helpful.
- Hira (8/5): Very good -
- Betty (10/5): I would recommend it to anyone - Everything My bedroom was extremely small but it didn’t really matter
Everything else was wonderful
- Yunting (5/5): Big and spacious but..... - The view from the baloncy is beautiful. Although it's not a full unblocked view, but you are still able to see the dome clearly. The night view is awesome too! The rooms are big and spacious The room gets chilly at night, and the bedsheets are slightly dirty/dusty. The huge downside is the house is on the 4th floor and the stairs up is narrow and steep. My husband, infant and I gotten bad insect bites/bed bugs bites which has inflammed after a few days
- Catherine (9/5): Good location and friendly manager. - I loved the location. very close to the Ponte Vecchio bridge and all the sites. The stairs are tough. Narrow and 67 steps. Not a place for anyone with knee or cardiac issues.
- Sean (7/5): Charming apartment with plenty if room for a family. - The location and view is amazing. Great size of living area. Charming decor and artwork. It was awesome having three bathrooms. The couches, cushions and beds weren't really that comfortable. The bed covers look very old and stained. The electrical sockets are flimsy and the internal balustrade does not look structurally sound. Very stressful having kids lean on it and it moves. We did expect better laundry facilities.
- Ray (8/5): Wpuld stay again.. - Location is excellent- less busy on the oltrarno side. More like a neighborhood but super close to everything Stairs stairs stairs!
- Knut (6/5): Pleasant - Once it must have been a beauty, but over the years the whole place has become a bit run down, both the apartment itself and all the furniture. The location to the old town is very good, but the way back, up the hill and the steep stairs in the house, very sweaty. Good shopping facilities nearby Compared with all other apartments we had in Italy, there is definitively room for improvement
- Michael (5/5): Passable - Nice view from balcony. Shower trays were grimy and need replacing. Mosquitoes were able to enter apartment though various unsealed holes. Spiral stairs to top bedroom/bathroom are steep and slippy so great care needed. For information only, there are about 60 stairs to access the apartment after a 300mtr steep walk from the river so please ensure all your party can handle this amount of exertion.
- Sarah (7/5): Good -
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - We totally loved this apartment - fantastic location, close to all the main sights but also quiet, and a balcony with the most amazing view of Florence. Mario and Veronica were so welcoming and helpful and the apartment was very well equipped. Would definitely recommend!
