Whilst we understand this and coped ok, it would be difficult for elderly with mobility issues or those with lots of luggage.

It might be worth mentioning that there is no elevator to this apartment which was quite a challenge getting our two, 25kg bags up the stairs to the 4th floor.

• Benjamin (7/5): - The location of the place is great, close to the attractions. The common space is good which is nice if traveling with family. Although it wrote two separate bedrooms, the bedrooms are connected. You can't go to the second bedroom without going through the first. The accommodation was cold at random times because the wall heaters worked half the time. I had to message the host before he turned up the heating. I think the one pack of body wash and shampoo each are enough for one night stay but not more than one.

Plenty of great places to eat. It had everything we needed. The wifi was great. We will stay there again if we visit Florence again. Highly recommended. It was a little difficult getting luggage to the fourth floor but this is a minor thing. Everything else was fabulous!

• James (9/5): Perfect for sights and restaurants! - The property was ample space, very comfortable with a home from home feel, the property, and everything in it was very clean. The location was perfect for everything. Really would recommend. The only thing we had a problem with was the shower pressure and temperature, however after the first use we worked out how to deal with it. It wouldn’t put me off staying again.

Wir waren als Familie bei Angelo zu Gast, check in und check out verliefen reibungslos, sehr sauberes und schickes Appartement im 4 Stock mit Blick über den Dächern von Florenz, geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Wir kommen wieder!! es gibt nicht zu beanstanden!!

• Lueng (9/5): Close to main attractions of Florence - The apartment is in a great location, very central and only a short walk to all of the main attractions of Florence. We found the bed comfortable and it was quiet to sleep with the windows being soundproof . Yes its in an older building & like most historic apartments in Florence to have views of the Duomo you will need to climb stairs, but we knew this already Overall it was a pleasant stay . Everything was fine , water pressure is a little low though this may be out of the owners control being an older building
• Lai Wah (7/5): - I love that the walls have retained the original facade from the Roman ages. It was a very comfortable apartment. Dish soap, laundry detergent, basic seasoning, and kitchenware were provided. Loved that we could hang our laundry out from the kitchen door area. The view of the top of the duomo was beautiful. Unfortunately, during our stay, the air con broke down. We stayed Saturday to Monday. Upon informing the staff on Saturday, they weren’t able to do anything until Monday, which is when we left.

The owner didnot provide the washing up liquid and washing tabs for washing clothes at the apartment, when we arrived the first day. We were not aware that there was no lift in the building and we had to lift a heavy luggage to the 4th floor.

E foram quatro lances de escada para chegar ao apartamento.

The washing machine was a bonus especially when travelling around different areas. Large apartment with plenty of space for a family of 5. Great air con! The only reason I haven given it a 10 and I’m being picky here because the apartment was amazing, is the shower head wasn’t great. It wouldn’t stay up and the water didn’t come out particularly well and there were only 2 plates but we ate out anyway so that didn’t matter. I’m being really picky. I would stay there again!

• K (10/5): Great Location! AWESOME size of Apartment! - GREAT Location! Property Owner was easy to work with. The Unit was VERY Spacious and very comfortable! AC worked great! I felt like I was "living" in Florence in this apartment. The view of the Duomo from the kitchen window is amazing! The property could use a little deep cleaning. Many items from prior guests were left behind in drawers and such. To get the views, you need to climb stairs - views=stairs. I forgot about this and getting the luggage up was a little bit of a challenge, but once you are in the apartment, it all works out.
• Gail (5/5): Underwhelming - Fabulous position very close to Duomo & lots of other sights. Washing machine was very handy after we figured out how to use it. Mister Pizza in the Duomo square is a must-do. There are lots of restaurants close to the apartment & there is a small supermarket a couple of doors from the apartment. Apartment is on 4th floor with 8 flights of steep stairs so those with mobility issues are not suited. The street is exceptionally noisy until 3am every night making sleep impossible. No-one met us at the apartment to check in so we had no idea how to use the washing machine - some sort of instruction manual is needed - we sort of figured it out. The oven had not been cleaned & there was no toaster even though it was listed as having one on booking.com. The shower is small - my travelling companion is a person of larger stature & really struggled with it.

• Jing (8/5): A good view of Florence - Located in a narrow alley in the heart of Florence’s city center, this apartment is in a very old building. The window offers a view of the dome of the Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore). The room is spacious, but it’s essentially one and a half bedrooms, as one of the rooms is very narrow and connected to the main bedroom. The kitchen and bathroom are both small but well-equipped. Please note that this apartment is on the fifth floor and there is no elevator! Please consider carefully before booking! Also, it’s a bit expensive.

The loungeroom was a real lounge room with comfortable lounges to relax in. The kitchen is small but workable however it could do with a little more light. The 3 flights of stairs were fine but your fitness is tested.
• James (10/5): Authentic Florentine Apartment - The location of this apartment was sensational. It was an easy walk to all the major sites and also the train station. Having a supermarket only a few steps away was very convenient. The restaurants and food vendors nearby gave us plenty of options each evening. The view from the dining table of the Duomo was stunning. The apartment was spacious and authentic. There are two bars on the street level which make some noise into the evening. It had the potential to be annoying, or you could just embrace the vibe of this contemporary city. Also, the 73 steps to the front door made getting luggage up on the first day and down on the last day a physical challenge.

• Alejandra (10/5): Amazing stay!!! - This place is amazing! The whole apartment was huge, and it was very spacious!! It was so quiet in there and private. You could see the main church Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and is walking distance everything from there! Such a great place to stay if you don’t have a lot of time and you want to be in the center of all top attractions. The owner was so accommodating to keep my luggage until noon since check out was at 11am.

There is a chain supermarket downstairs next door, which is very convenient for daily shopping. The rooms are decorated so warmly that guests feel at home. It's a pity that there is no elevator, but it is understandable that such an atmospheric building would not have an elevator.

It was close to all the major sights and surrounded by options for dining, purchasing food for cooking (although we didn’t do any). The living/dining room were spacious. We also appreciated the washer. The bedrooms face the street and there was street noise well into the early hours of the morning. We knew in advance there were four flights of stairs and no lift, but in reality they were a lot to handle, particularly with luggage. They would be fine for someone with strong legs.

• Tanja (10/5): Massive apartment, perfect location, felt like a local - WOW this place was sooooo big, we did not expect it to be a whole apartment!!! the apartment was in the middle of the touristy streets so it was quiet because it was up 4 levels and perfect to get to where ever you wanted to go via foot!!! it has an old style interior that isn't tired so it felt like you were a local living in the city. no elevator so we had to lug our suitcases to the top level, but that was expected due to the description, was so worth it!

• Areli (10/5): In the heart of Florence gem! - I loved everything about this stay. You have a view of the duomo and plenty of space and quiet. There is two bedrooms and a sofa bed. There is a/c, washing machine, and seperate space for kitchen and dining area. The location is prime! There is no elevator but worth the climb of stairs! I wish I could call this place my second home. We enjoyed our time and had everything we needed and more. There is a grocery store next door and plenty of local restaurants. We felt like locals rather than tourists staying here. We walked from the train station to the home and had no complications getting there. I would recommend this place over and over again! Everything was phenomenal :)

Our host was always helpful and even mailed an item that was left behind, to our forwarding address. • Sabrina (8/5): Lovely place in the city centre - The apartment was in a great location, in between Il Duomo and the Palazzo Vecchio. It was a larger apartment for European standards, so we had heaps of space! Alessandro was great to deal with, and very responsive. We were able to leave our luggage in the apartment before check-in, which was a huge help! The street noise was loud, you can hear people partying all through the night on Saturday night so if you are a light sleeper, it may be too loud for you. Also the church bells toll from 7am until midnight on the hour. Note that it is up 4 flights of stairs without a lift, so if you have big luggage, this will be difficult

The living room offers an incredible view of the cathedral, which took our breath away. Surprisingly, we discovered that the apartment's kitchen table provided the exact view we were hoping for from a restaurant. The bedroom overlooks Palazzo Vecchio, adding to the charm. Just a stone's throw away, around 20 meters, you'll find one of the finest street food spots in Florence. Plus, all the major attractions are literally minutes away on foot. The apartment itself is not only spacious but also exquisitely beautiful. The gentleman who handed us the keys was exceptionally kind and helpful. If you stumble upon this apartment and it's available, don't hesitate – secure it before someone else does! This is a gem that's not to be missed! One thing to note is that the apartment is located on the 4th floor of a building without an elevator, which is quite common for buildings in the city center. While this might pose a challenge for individuals with mobility issues, it was not an issue for us. The slight climb up the stairs was a small price to pay for the incredible view and overall experience.

The host is super kind, available and helpful. The apartment is moderately clean. The water flow in the shower is weak. The water in all the taps has an unpleasant smell. The kitchen is not equipped enough (no new dish sponge, dish soap, Nescafe...). It is not possible to leave the luggage after check-out.
