• Maria (4/5): The place looks better in pictures. - The location was great. Not what we expected from pictures. It was difficult to enter and find apartment. Many spider bites from second level as the ceiling was covered with spiders and spider webs. Owner did not check-in with us. The kitchen did not have utensils. Only 1 bathroom. The shades on second level ceiling windows don’t open so it is very dark.
• Sandy (4/5): Find somewhere else - The location was handy We stayed 8 nights in this apartment and every time we entered the place you were hit with a very stale smell, we left the windows open while we were there( inviting all the mossies in) but this did not help, the shower was soooo slow to drain that if your shower was longer than two minutes the shower base would over flow. The furnishings were very dated and of poor quality The bed was at least comfortable although the pillows lost their life years ago. The apartment is above a garage and bakery and these people start work from 5am and you will be woken up by them, infact you hear every bit of everyone’s noise in the building. This place noisey.

One broken Coffee maker, second without the handle, scratched tefal casserole and the pan ,no more safe for cooking. However the tiniest cofee maker and little stainless Steel pot were good.

• Luis (1/5): This place is dirty, dangerous and should not be allowed to be rented until serios upgrades/repairs are made. - The location was extremely great. Right in the middle of the action. Steps away from the Uffizi and with many good restaurants and trattorias nearby. This place is not ready to receive guests. First, it needs a really deep cleaning. Everything in it was dirty. The kitchen is perfectly unusable. All the dishes are dirty, outdated and simply, everything in the kitchen should be thrown away and replaced with new dishes/silverware. There is questionable and expired food in the lower cabinets. That indicates that no one is taking care of this place. The mattress in the bedroom is one big crater and the couch looks like it was picked up from the side of the road. The bathroom is its own tragedy. The exhaust fan looks like it has not been cleaned since the Medicis ruled the town. The shower is so small that an average size person cannot take a decent cleaning. I went without soaping my feet the entire stay. It was impossible. The light is on the opposite side of the sink. Making it hard to see your face while shaving. There are two broken glass shelves that are a safety hazard. The shower curtain blocks the drainage and the shower floods and overflows into the bathroom floor. This place should not be listed for rental until serious repairs and a deep, deep cleaning is done. I’m suggesting Booking.com to reconsider listing this property. Also, it smells musty and the front door needs to be repaired as well. You can also see cobwebs all over the ceiling.

• Erika (10/5): Great :-) - The huge Iris apartment is 5 minutes walking distance from the Piazza della Signoria, and The Uffizi Galery. In fact it is close to everything important in the miracle named Firenze. The apartment is a typical Italian accommodation: the woden beams, the stone and brick walls, narrow stairs, and beautiful furniture which I like and appreciate very much. It has a fully equiped kitchen, and a washingmashine. My son and I loved it. The hosts: Riccardo and Giovanni are very friendly and helpful. Thank you for everything! :-)
• Ron (1/5): Miserable accommodation-stay away!! - Worse place we stayed in Italy. Dark and dingy. Everything was old and poorly lit. Kitchen ware was old, poorly stocked. Sofa was old and dirty. Bed mattress was sagging in the middle! Worst of all was the bathroom. A long room with a tiny shower. It was very small and tight. The shower mat was old and dirty. There was no ceiling above the shower!!! Just a hole with pipes showing. And it was dark and unlit. Terrible, terrible, terrible!!!

• Peng (1/5): Only bad impression - There is nothing to like in this property and this owner. Check out what we do not like. We did not managed to even get into the property. We tried calling the owner when we were there and not only did he not pick up but he DECLINED our call. That is a very rude attitude towards me and my family, it left a bad impression from us towards Florence in general. We had to find another place to stay after waiting for more than an hour to try to reach him and waiting him to respond to our call. I hope Booking.com takes action towards this owner or else more people will go through the same experience as us.

The door doesn't have a door handle which makes getting in and out of the apartment a little difficult. Also, it would be good to let potential guests know the property is on an alley which is busy with restaurant and other workers who start early in the morning.

• Craig (3/5): A Joke - Central Florence Took nearly 2 hrs to get into the property as no one was there to meet us like agreed,had to get intouch with booking.com to get in as owner was saying he didnt understand English. The photographs for the property were incorrect as was showing a totally different property that was a lot bigger and the reviews for this property are not true as they are for the other property shown in the photo's,this property is tiny. We have travelled around europe and stayed in 10 different places and this was a joke,booking.com dont want to know,i have complained as wanted at least a part refund in which i wont be getting,be very careful. Also dont use the parking garage next door,they have no respect for your vehicle amd steal monry frim your car.

• Nick (8/5): Great large apartment, great location but night club noise. - Really good location for main sights in Florence. Bit of a quirky apartment but loads of space. There is a small night club on the same street that opens at midnight and keeps going until 4 - 5AM. People hang around outside just under the flats main front window. If you are using the back bedroom you don't hear it . If you sleep on the sofa bed in the main lounge, then if you sleep lightly, it is likely to wake you up and it keeps going to the very early hours. We stayed Friday and Saturday night. The club advertises that its open every night of the week. Other than this great apartment but because of the nightclub I would not stay again. Which is a real shame
• Flo (7/5): Good - The location was amazing. The beds were very comfy and there was plenty of clean bedding and extra beds. One of the apartments had really good air conditioning and the apartments were nice inside. It was good value for money. In one of the apartments, the air conditioning did not work properly and there were consistent power cuts. There was a lack of some kitchen facilities, one didn't have a kettle and the other didn't have a toaster, pots and pans were also not in the best condition. We received very little warning for the passport checks, and had to delay our plans because of it. We also felt pressure to leave earlier than the check out time on the website (9:30-10), as we were told the day before it had to be 9:30 and then the host waited outside our apartments from 9.
• Kathryn (5/5): Passable - The location was superb, close to all the sights and awesome food as well as a supermarket. The apartment was very big and roomy and secure. Unfortunately the apartment is very tired. The air conditioning just doesn't work and is more like a fan than an air conditioner and with the hot summer weather we sweltered at night and day. It was no cooler than 27 in the bottom part of our apartment and 30 in the bedroom of our apartment. The furniture is very dated and likewise the kitchen was dirty with crumbs and left over food in the drawers and spilt coffee on drawers. Many handles were missing and there were a number of unsafe looking power points. WiFi was hit and miss with barely over 2mbps download when you could get a signal which made life a bit difficult when trying to email or download tickets for activities or keep in touch with family overseas. Families also need to be aware that with the very steep steps within the apartment it is not good for babies/toddlers. Compared to other apartments in the general area this one was just not what you'd expect and needs a refresh.
• Myers (8/5): Very good - Location right in the middle of everything. Five to ten minutes walk to see all the sights. There was a pot to catch water from the air conditioner. There was a towel behind the toilet to absorb water I think.
• Zakk (7/5): Good - Location was awesome. The apartment itself has lots of space. A little old. Odd smells in the apartment which make it a little uncomfortable. A/C unit needs cleaning.
• Oumar (8/5): Awesome value for the price, worth for longer stays as well, but not really with kids. - The location is perfect, in the heart of the city, so many sights were in a walking distance. Florence is not too big and it was awesome to walk around and easily walk back home any time when we got tired. The flat is actually in a party region, we had a night club just under the room's window and there was a partying crowd on the street almost every night, all night. So it was quite challenging to get a good nights sleep :-D But all in all, it was nice, and the fact that everything was in a walking distance compensated for the noisy nights.

• Kyann (7/5): Great location in Florence. - The location of the apartment was great! It was close to most of the major attractions in Florence. The host was excellent to work with and even let us keep our bags in the apartment past our checkout time which was very nice! The apartment was very spacious and well-kept. The major issue was how hot the apartment was. When we arrived at 18:00 it was 36 C inside and the AC was not turned on. We immediately turned it on, but by the morning it was only down to 28 C in the apartment so it was a very hot stay. I'm sure that during times of the year when it isn't so hot, this wouldn't be a problem and the apartment is very nice otherwise. The only other issue is there wasn't any utensils for eating. There were pots/pans and cooking utensils, however.
