Guest Reviews
- Mary (10/5): History books brought to life. - Veronica our host was above and beyond, she made us feel like family and guided us to an exceptional Italian experience. What a first time experience for us. We love her and her apartment. Thank you Veronica N/A
- james (9/5): Spacious and comfortable, would definitely choose this apartment when in Santo Spirito again! - Great breakfast right around the corner at Lunetta's. Numerous dinner options in the neighborhood as well. Spacious and comfortable, and the laid-back "funky" decor was a nice bonus. Five minute walk to the Arno.
- Morgan (10/5): Perfect location, lovely apartment! - The apartment was amazing! Perfect location to everything we wanted to see. The host, Veronica, gave us so many great recommendations and was very kind and communicative. We really appreciated her!

- Michael (10/5): One of the best places we have stayed! Veronica is amazing and so is her home. A must stay! - A wonderfully decorated apartment, in one of the best areas of Florence, near everything, yet very quiet, warm, and comfortable. Its everything someone could ask for when travelling. The hostess Veronica is a delightful person who shines with her smile. When we were leaving, it felt a bit as if we were leaving our home. If we come to Florence again, this is definitely where we will be staying There is nothing we would change. This is simply a great place!
- FEIFEI (10/5): -
- Anita (10/5): - Casetta dei sogni, se vivessi a firenze vorrei vivere lì! Arredata stupenda, si vede che una casa che ha una sua storia, non è una di quelle anonime e tutte uguali.
- Emmanuele (10/5): Wow! - Posizione perfetta! Nulla. Tutto perfetto

- Ron (9/5): Nice trip - Location. It also had the ambulance/felt like the feel of the entire city.
- Angel (10/5): Spacious and central - I liked everything! In the area of Santo Spirito, in a fairly quiet street, a few steps away from Via Tornabuoni and Palazzo Bobboli. Furnished in an authentic manner, very spacious, and equipped with anything needed. Ms Veronica, the proprietor, is a great person, very sunny and helpful. I will definitely return!
- Mahsa (10/5): - We had an amazing time staying at this beautiful house in Florence.
Veronica was the best host we’ve ever had. She is super kind, caring, and makes sure you feel comfortable. She even gave us thoughtful recommendations, helpful local tips, and everything we needed to enjoy Florence.
The house was clean and very comfortable. Every corner is beautifully designed with antique furniture and details that make it feel extra special. We visited in November, and it stayed warm and cozy the entire time.
The location is perfect for exploring the city, and the neighborhood is charming and full of character.
We appreciated everything and can’t recommend staying here enough!

- Phi-Lyn (9/5): -
- Char (7/5): 100% Firenze flavor! - The host Veronica is really communicative, and the apartment is just as beautiful as the photo indicates.
- Jaimie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ana (10/5): The best! - I cannot recommed this place enough!!!
The location is the best! Its on the other side of the river from all the major tourist attractions which gives you peace from the crowd (the center is maybe 20mins on foot). All around are nice bars and restaurants with amazing food. Markets work until maybe 11pm.
As for the room, maybe one of the best and most interesting places I've stayed at. It is huge! It's on street level, which gives you very easy access. There are a lot of retro and antique things throughout the apartment. It has everything you can possibly need. Equipped kitchen, living room radio, TV, table... and the sleeping area is very cosy and cute.
I also have to say that Veronica is the best host I've met. She gave us the opportunity for the early check in, always responds to messages very fast and is aways there to help with everything and to give advice for transportation or food.
As I said, I cannot recommend it enough!
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - Location was perfect and the host was so lovely! Great recommendations and so knowledgeable.
- Bruna (10/5): Amazing place in Florence - Veronica was really kind and gave us the best tips . The decoration is very nice and fully equipped. Close there are amazing restaurants and places There was nothing that we didn’t like
- Simon (9/5): Superb -
- Neil (9/5): Superb - Veronica was incredibly helpful, responsive and welcoming (an error at our end meant we had to change our check-in time at the last minute and Veronica was really kind about it - she also helped us book a taxi when we left which was massively appreciated as large areas of the city were going to be closed for an event). The apartment is really quirky and full of interesting objects, it’s clean, comfortable and in a great location. It’s close to lots of excellent bars and restaurants (so it can be a bit noisy at night - which wasn’t an issue for us but might be if that’s not for you or you’re a light sleeper). Would definitely recommend.
- Baudrand (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place in a great area!
Thank you!
- Augusto (10/5): Estancia en Real Taste of Tuscany -
- John (10/5): A great flat in a convenient neighborhood across the Arno from Floence’s major attractions - We loved the funky ambience of our ground-floor flat, a short stroll from the Arno in an area that felt inhabited by Florentines rather than tourists. Our host Veronica was accommodating, welcoming, and a fountain of knowledge about what to see, where to eat like a native, and how to experience her town. She also came to our rescue when, due to our own fault, we miscalculated our departure date and found ourselves without a place to stay on our last night. She moved us to another flat that she manages and kept us from sleeping in the streets. She went far, FAR above the call of duty, and we are forever grateful. Nothing.
- Richard (10/5): I would stay here a million times over. - Everything. Veronica has a map made up for all the best places to eat and things to do. I can’t think of one thing I did not like.
- Russell (9/5): Superb - Veronica is a warm, wonderful host. She is attentive to your needs and is very accommodating. I enjoyed my stay and would certainly stay again. The street is quiet, but the people are not. Expect some joyful noise.
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Great location to walk to everywhere, quirky style
- Julia (10/5): Lovely stay on a typical street, surrounded by local gems - We loved the location with lots of lovely places to eat and visit around. It was an easy 10 min walk to the Ponte Vecchio and north side of the river. Located on a typical cobblestone street, with local people walking around in the morning.
Veronica was a stellar host, and met us at the door with keys and lots of lovely (local, not touristy) recommendations. The bed was comfy. We liked that you could keep the window open 24/7 to get some air in and a big fan at the end of the bed was a huge plus as it was warm. We would have loved to be provided with some tea bags or instant coffee. There was lots of cups and saucers provided and lots of sugar and salt in the cupboard but a couple of tea bags would have been great. Not a big issue as we bought some from the local shop but just a suggestion!
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional - Veronica is a friendly host, offered useful tips and advise for our stay. Real Taste of Tuscany has a homely feel to it, plenty of space throughout the property, comfortable bed, good hot shower, felt relaxed almost immediately. Great location for all the sights, five minute walk to the river, fifteen to the city centre. Local amenities nearby to get food, drink etc even a veggie cafe within 100 yards. Would happily stay here again Occasional noisy passersby late at night but nothing constant.
- Clive (9/5): Superb - Location excellent for Santo Spirito area, Pitti Palace and Ponte Vecchio Bed was a little low, but comfortable
- Hopkins (10/5): Exceptional - Walking distance to every major attraction but off the beaten path for exceptional dining. Nothing
- Dana (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): We stayed in Florence for 2 nights and the area where we stayed was so close to everything we wanted to enjoy! - There is so much to like, an amazing host, perfect location and the apartment has great charm to it.
- Sean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Romy (9/5): Superb - Fantastic little apartment in a great location! The host, Veronica, was so lovely and helpful as well.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barbara (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (9/5): Wonderful! - Very convenient, great location, good value. Veronica was great.
- Marlene (10/5): Charmed in Florence - The location was excellent and the apartment had a lot of charm. There could be more light.
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Krystyna (10/5): Great location, excellent hosts, stay here. - We Loved the feel of old world Florence, from the quiet street in a super location just steps from the river and all of old Florence, to the preserved architecture pieces inside that felt like we were in the original house 100 years ago. Also thanks Ray for helping us when we arrived, we really appreciated the favour. Krystyna. The fans did a decent job but AC would have been a bonus (we were aware when we booked that there was no AC) as it was still warm during our visit.
Otherwise the property was 1st class.
- Peter (7/5): Good - Very interesting.interrior. Missing air conditioning.
- Damon (9/5): Superb -
- Ricardo (10/5): great stay - host was very hospitable!
- Barbara (10/5): Amazing host really goes above to make sure you have a great time! - Veronica was an amazing host. Was very accommodating with early check-in and so helpful for giving local recommendations of her home town. I felt like home and had the best stay!
- David (8/5): very good choice for short stay in Florence - location and facilities very good for short stay in Florence together with very good advice from host Veronica no outside area and renovation works on building on road opposite noisy when work started at 07.30
- Aileen (8/5): lovely apartment in ideal location - very homely with a Tuscan feel and had everything we needed. perfect location for everything and just out of the really busy area. great restaurants and bars nearby. only issue we had was the noise from the building work opposite in what is normally a quiet street. not anything the owner could do about it but it started at 7.30am most mornings- however I’m sure this will finish soon and it didn’t spoil our holiday as we were up and out just a bit earlier than normal!! Veronica was really helpful and her recommendations on restaurants etc were fantastic. thanks Veronica.
- Nadine (9/5): Staying here was definitely a highlight of our trip in Florence :) - Very charming, rustic apartment in an incredible location. The apartment was in an area of Florence where there were plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Veronica (the host) met up with us to give our keys and showed us her map of Florence with plenty of recommendations. We appreciated this a lot and we checked out some of her recommendations. Had everything we needed such as clean towels, kitchen utensils, toiletries, etc. Do note this is an apartment on the ground floor, with the main door leading onto a street. The street itself isn't super busy but the night ends late in Florence so you will still hear some noise outside till 10 or 11pm from passersby. This didn't bother us too much since we were out till late. Don't expect super bright lighting as the lights are a bit on the dimmer side, but I think this added to the rustic charm of the apartment, and helpful for when you wanna sleep in a bit longer. And the shower temperature was a little hard to manoeuvre but manageable.
- Adeline (10/5): Thank you for a phenomenal stay! We loved our time in Florence and wish it was longer! -
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Allison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gizem (10/5): Exceptional -
- Queentaylor (6/5): Pleasant -
- Robertson (10/5): Cool retro apartment away from the crowds yet surrounded by fantastic bars and restaurants. - After extensive travelling through Naples and Rome it was a joy to arrive at this apartment. The location is not far from the Santa Maria Novella station but its location across the Arno away from the tourist crowds is a definite bonus. Immediately after crossing the bridge to the apartment we felt that we were in a cool, vibrant and authentic area. Veronica met us with the keys and we loved the accommodation which is in an old artisan workshop. The vintage style is just our taste. Round the corner is Piazza Santa Spirito- a leafy square lined with buzzing bars and restaurants. Across the road is a really funky pizza place and round the corner on Via Sant' Agostino at the end of the road are a fabulous restaurant and amazing falafel takeaway. At the end of the road we came across the best ice-cream shop ever. The other direction towards the river takes you to a street of interesting bars and restaurants and we sadly did not have time to try them all. If you want to visit the sights of Florence, the apartment is a 10-15 walk back across the river. We loved this place and will return. In our two weeks tour of Italy this was the best area and the best apartment. Nothing
- Vladimir (7/5): Good - The location is very good - 10-15 minutes walk to Pitti Palace, Ufizzi Gallery and many others.
Veronica, the host, is very friendly and extremely helpful with local info. Although the street is fairly quiet with very little traffic, the moment car or bike passes you can definitely hear it - you're on the 1st floor and the entry door does not provide any sound insulation.
- Bart (8/5): A charming appartement in a lovely neighbourhood. - The location was great. Just away from the most touristic part in a lovely neighbourhood. It was very noisy. Sounds came in as if we were sleeping on the street.
- Romanos (10/5): Exceptional - Veronica (the hostess) is extremely kind and helpful! The ground floor flat is spacious and traditionally decorated. A very beautiful place that will make your trip even more charming! I could recommend Veronica more for whoever visiting Florence! Thank you!
- Omer (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic place to stay, in a great location. The host is amazing. Left a list of restaurants/bars/bakeries that was fantastic and helped me a lot. A really well equipped kitchen, if you are looking to cook. Nothing. Really really great experience. I will definitely come again.
- Joshua (10/5): Fantastic location - Location was amazing! Everything you could want to see in Florence is within walking distance, and the property is just around the corner from lots of food options. The property is very spacious and comfortable! The shower was a little small (with a bit of mold in it) and it would have been good to have more toiletries in the bathroom - but this was very minor.
