• Zhen (2/5): This was by far the worst accommodation experience we have ever had. - If you want to be scammed by this apartment, welcoming to book it. ⚠️ We are sharing our experience with this accommodation in hopes of helping others avoid being scammed. ⚠️ The appearance shown in the photos is completely fake. We booked “Sultanahmet Guest House” (Küçük Ayasofya, Kadırga Limanı Cd. No:136, 34122 Fatih/İstanbul) through Booking.com. However, on the day of check-in, they contacted me via WhatsApp and told me to wait at another location. Instead of taking us to the booked accommodation, they led us to “Mete Apartments” (Küçük Ayasofya Mahallesi, Kadırga Liman Caddesi No:138, Fatih, Istanbul). Not only was the apartment in a different location, but the actual room looked nothing like the photos. It was extremely old, dirty, and in terrible condition. The bathroom sink was infested with ants every single day, making the stay absolutely unbearable. It was so disgusting that it’s not even worth considering. They tried to blame the ant problem on a previous guest allegedly stuffing chocolate into a crack in the sink, claiming they had already cleaned it (this happened on the second or third day of our stay). However, reality proved them wrong. As they were explaining this, we had just returned to our room from outside—only to find yet another swarm of ants in the sink. Additionally, during check-in, they claimed that their credit card machine was broken, so the payment had to be made in cash (in euros). However, if you asked for change in euros, they would give you a handful of 50-cent, 20-cent, and 10-cent coins. - ⚠️我們將這次住宿經驗分享給大家，希望可以幫助到其他人可以不要因此受騙。⚠️ 這照片上的樣貌完全是假的，我們在booking.com訂了”sultanahmet guest house”（Küçük Ayasofya, Kadırga Limanı Cd.

Helpful host, provides information promptly, is available on the phone and in person at the reception. Property is not soundproof. Mouldy bathroom and cleanliness should be improved. no name plate for Guest House Sultanahmet at the entrance. The location does not correspond to address given on Booking application. Back door was not securely locked, we had to block the lock with a small book.

Those little walking things (look alike ants)they just walk around the floor sometimes. they are non biting.they were so many so we started naming them( one was bob and the others tim,jacob,austin,kevin etc) friendly guys otherwise the apartment is alright for what we paid for

• Shah (4/5): Disappointing - I like the fact it's near all the restaurants, shops, supermarkets and hairdressers. The best part is that it's about 10 mins walk from Blue Mosque. And about 12 minutes from the dentist, the main reason I was there in the first place. Mete and his staff were very facilitating. They tried their best to make things easy for us. Insects.. the entire building is crawling with miniature ants - non biting. They are all over the place. They gave us a bigger room after we complained and managed to use a spare bed to keep clothes inside luggage. Had it not been for our continuous appointments at dentists and staying out all day, we would have attracted more insects. I would have moved out from the first instance, but the location kept me at bay.

A really great place to stay as it’s close to all the major tourist attractions, local stores and a restaurant down stairs along with walkabout travel agency. Nothing to dislike here at all.

The location was very difficult to find I could not locate it on Google maps it took me somewhere then there was nothing there ? It was only when I asked a local who told me to go to the local travel agent at the bottom of the road go and ask in their office and it was them who knew an then had the key to it .

We have paid to the hotel ( inclusive everything ) for the cab but the driver was arrogantly demanding for the extra toll charges and as we were panicking and tried to contact the hotel but there was no response and later we have got clarity that the hotel people and cab driver were involved in the petty scams. I would suggest please do not book and cab facilities with the locals , try to use UBER

So many things within walking distance the staff was very friendly and helpful. Being in a foreign country and not speaking the language is difficult . They spoke English, gave great directions. Helped us many times . A microwave would be helpful.

Were initially separated into 2 different apartments neither of which looked like the pictures. Was extremely hard to find, as it's not at the location provided on the map, and there are a few similarly named hotels nearby.

All necessities such as restaurants, supermarket, shops, etc. were close by. We booked an apartment which is actually an en-suite bedroom with limited pace to walk around the bed and one chair. There are steep narrow steps leading up to the room which are difficult to negotiate. Only two power points in room with one of them in the bathroom. Kettle only with no crockery and cutlery.
