• Yves-Henri (7/5): Disappointed - Comfortable There is no direct Lake View as advertised. The description is misleading. Nowhere in the apartment you can have the view on the lake : you just see the back court of the castle. You have to get out of the apartment, walk for 20 m and then you have the view on the lake. I find this description is not honest and I would not have chosen this room if I had known.
• Ingrid (8/5): Book this. It’s magical. - Beautiful castle with modern appliances. A tree had fallen during a storm at night. It looked scary but we were safe.
• Michelle (4/5): Beautiful but no air conditioning - Loved the history of the chateau chatelard and its location with views of lake Genève and the cows nearby Although I understand it’s an ancient building a heat pump to provide cooling would elevate the entire experience to another level: the shower rod was also very fragile looking and ineffective at keeping the water inside the tub area: à clothes drying rack would have been a great addition as well: we left 2 days early because of the heat in the building
• Asli (8/5): Castle Experience - We had an excellent stay in a great environment in this mysterious, beautiful castle. Once in a lifetime experience. It was clean, comfortable and interesting. No stuff, not easy to check in, when we ask questions they are replied the day after and now we don’t know how to check out. The curtain in the bathroom was not installed correctly and fell on our head. Luckily nothing bad happened.

• Tapaswi (4/5): Castle but no feel - The room is big. The location The price Facilities Definitely not for famailies with luggages . Have to drag your luggages on a rough terrain. No super market near by. Train access is 1 km by walk. No access to the terrace. Then What's the point of staying in a Castle. Even cabs don't come easily.

• Laurel (9/5): Lovely place to stay for our holiday! - The property was beautiful & well upholstered inside. The bed was comfy & the bath was nice. The kitchen facilities were good & the view was amazing! It was very quiet & peaceful despite it being near the A9 autoroute. The outside areas were lovely too. Access was good once you’d worked out how to get to it avoiding steep narrow roads. It was very hot & needed a fan. A shower would have been nice.

• Karen (9/5): Exquisite Luxury in an amazing setting. - The view overlooking Montreux and the Lake was amazing from the castle. The apartment was outstanding with it chandlers and marble tiled tub bathroom. Beautiful. There were limited amenities other than coffee maker pods. The kitchenette was beautiful with utensils but no functional cooking supplies. Due to the more remote location, these simple amenities would have been appreciated.

• Priscilla (9/5): Gorgeous, amazing place! - The castle is gorgeous, the rooms are comfy and cozy. And the views are just amazing. Although the bathtub is great, there was no shower. And maybe for longer stays a dishwasher would be helpful. But all of these are minor comparing to the amazing other things it offers.
• Antony (10/5): Great Accomodation! - Edgar was an excellent host, very responsive when required. Easily accessible by car. Well equipped and very clean. Great views and very secure. Wi-fi sometimes unstable. A shower screen and wall mounted shower head bracket would be useful as an alternative to the excellent bath!

• Eric (8/5): Very good - the castle setting was beautiful. the views from the site are amazing. the rooms have an authentic feel of living in a modern castle. there is no true lake view from the apartment. you have to walk outside to see the lake over the wall.
