Guest Reviews
- Jessica (8/5): - The apartment is beautifully appointed, a great spacious apartment. We really liked the ability to do a quick load of washing, as we stayed for the show our clothes were incredibly dusty, this was a fantastic amenity to have access to. Not being made aware for the multiple flights of stairs to access. This was not appropriate for my elderly grandmother who has a chronic heart condition. It took us an hour to help her up the stairs. This also meant we needed to change dinner plans as she would not have been able to get up the stairs a second time.
- Jon (10/5): Great base to explore Narrabri and surrounds - We stayed two nights, spacious comfortable apartment. Very relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for your hospitality. Regards Jon and Finola
- Emma (10/5): -
- Phillip (9/5): - Location
- Paul (9/5): - Fantastic offering, plenty of space, all the facilities of home. Warm. Close to everything. Secure. N/A
- Sombhatla (7/5): Nice but can be improved - Location and size Appliances - fridge is struggling. The tv and remote refuses to work. And WiFi is patchy, we have to rely on 5G.
With the bathrooms, there is consistent smell from the pipes running behind.
- Chris (3/5): Didn't feel safe - Good location. Good kitchen facilities. Security did not feel safe, especially for a single traveller. They do not change the door access codes between bookings, so anyone who has stayed previously can come straight into your apartment. There is no lock / deadbolt on the inside of the doors so no way to stop this yourself.
Few other things need fixing too:
- shower recess leaking into main bathroom
- Rats / mice ate food that was in packaging on kitchen bench
- TV remote not working
- Ewan (10/5): Like the ease of booking and keyless entry. Feels like you are in your own place. - Stayed here on a previous visit for work and is the only place that I will stay when in the area.
- Jane (8/5): -
- Cory (8/5): -
- Lee (6/5): -
- Sylvia (8/5): Comfortable - Spacious
- Michaela (8/5): -
- Andrea (9/5): - Walking distance to town centre.
- Gregory (9/5): Really enjoyed our stay. Great apartment in great location - Lovely old building in excellent location. Lots of room
- Daniel (7/5): - large space et large living room and dining room A little minimalist about supplies: should provide at least pepper, salt and oil-vinegar, some tisssues, biscuits or toasts, Also please provide a couple of hangers in the bedroom cupboard. Another issue is the emergency exit that has a too bright light that you cannot shut off and prevent you from sleeping.
- Jocelyn (10/5): - Lovely compy apartment great to relax in and enjoy narrabri .. every thing you would need is supplied great value Nothing
- Vicki (10/5): It was great -
- Chris (10/5): - Great location. Clean, comfortable apartment with everything needed for a work trip.
- Frankie (7/5): Comfy stay , nice and central stay wasn’t long enough to really enjoy - Beds comfy , lounge comfy, looked exactly like the photos 🙂 Was a little concerned the door to the outside stairs didn’t lock properly and 31 steps to carry bags :-
- Boyce (7/5): Place was great would stay there again on my way through. - Place was great easy to access, clean & comfortable. Vanity needs to be changed as there is a major crack through the stone
Wasn't able to turn on the TV with the remote not sure if its a battery issue
- Eric (9/5): -
- Dumidu (10/5): -
- Joanne (8/5): Great location - Its history The warmth it contained even with aircon and fans
- April (10/5): -
- Hans (8/5): Top - Het was proper, netjes. Zeer ruim, veel plaats. Er was koffie en thee. Op 1 bed waren er kleine, miniscule insecten. We hadden er wel geen last van.
- Gwenda (10/5): Just Lovely - Well done Linda, we give you the highest score for the Loft. Your attention to detail as a host went way beyond what we expected. The rooms are tastefully decorated and has everything we needed, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, quiet, relaxing, great views. We will definitely recommend the Loft to family and friends or anyone else travelling through Narribri.
It was such a delight to walk in after a long drive and chill out
Well done Linda

- Roxanne (5/5): Wondered why we had to wash all the dishes and take out the garbage. For the price we paid i figured that staff would c - The concept of the loft was fine. Well laid out and comfortable Stairs were a bit daunting for people our age (70’s)
- Michael (10/5): -
- scott (5/5): -
- Ewan (10/5): I Told my work colleges where I was staying, and they called it the "Penthouse" of Narrabri. - The Loft apartment was spacious clean and has great views of the town. Linda and her husband were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.
- Juliann (9/5): - Loved the location and the interesting history of the apartment. The extras supplied, like coffee machine, water cooler and soaps and shampoos were beyond our expectations. I didn't like all the stairs, but this was unavoidable. :)
- Malcolm (7/5): -
- Natalie (10/5): thoroughly enjoyed - Very comfortable stay thank you, good quality furnishings
- Steve (4/5): Fair - Close to town, nice old historic style The pillows, broken window letting a very cold breeze in & the bloody exit light. It’s a class 2 SOU & doesn’t need an exit light in it!
- thi (10/5): Love it will come back - Nice and clean Close to shop
- alison (8/5): - Beautifully presented apartment. The apartment was so warm and cosy. Dust and webs high on ceiling making it a bit dusty for asthmatics.
- Danielle (10/5): Absolutely would stay again. - Beautifully clean and cosy. Very comfy bed and very warm during freezing weather. Being able to shut the louvres in toilet area. It was freezing.
- Geraldine (10/5): Fantastic Loft. - Space. Tasteful decorating.Lovely hot showers. Everything we needed. Needed extension cord in the bedroom.
- Peter-John (8/5): Amazing conversion of a beautiful old buidling - Great conversion of an amazing old building. Loved the quirkiness of it! The rooms were a bit like a maze! Very open plan though with no ceilings in in the bedrooms but didn't really worry us.
- Katherine (7/5): Great to stay in such a historic building but could have a few more touches to make it a return stay - Excellent space and location in town. Unique place to stay. Limited condiments for cooking, no tissues, susceptible to noise from floor below, emergency exit light was very bright (which can’t be helped! but proximity to bedroom meant I’d need to bring an eye mask), pedal on kitchen bin wasn’t functioning, wifi was available but very patchy
- Thornett (8/5): Cozy and so comfortable. Beautifully presented. - Comfortable and close to town. Had everything we needed. N/A
- Sheree (10/5): Will definitely book here again if ever in Narrabri. - The location was perfect. Big and spacious. There was nothing bad about the property.
Although,a full length mirror could be a bonus ☺️
- Rob (10/5): Pure comfort -
- alexander (7/5): - Spacious comfortable beds Needed through cleaning windows fan . Dust points.
- Allie (8/5): Two floors up, almost Heaven. - Such a comfortable and welcoming unit.
Both the lounge and bed wrapped themselves around us.
We were a little concerned with the lack of a spare blanket on the bed, but the quilt was amazing.
It is winter, so the poor single air conditioner did get a workout. I'm not sure if it was the most efficient heating option, but we didn't freeze.
We were thankful to be on the top floor, as we could hear little feet running around the unit below us. There is nothing to really make us run....This is a LOFT, so very high ceilings that had more than its fair share of spider webs. It was hard not to lay in the bed and look for the creators of those webs! I'm not sure what I would have done if I did spot one.....
Having a water cooler was great, but not having any glasses needs to be addressed. There was one heavy drink mug, but more would be needed in summer.
The shower screen does leak at the side, so tiles do become wet and slippery.
- Graeme (8/5): Very good -
- David (7/5): Great location and fantastic historical place to stay at a great price. - Location was excellent. Very spacious. The bedrooms were comfortable as were the facilities. Emergency exit light lit the room during the night. It’s very bright. The bedroom ceilings are not closed off. Main bedroom door did not close properly. Cobwebs on the high ceiling - lots of them above the main bed.
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Derick (9/5): Superb -
- Brad (7/5): Good - Location Open ceiling
TV issues
- Tyers (9/5): Superb - Super comfy beds, was lovely to have a full lounge and dining. Kitchen was well equipped. A couple of the windows couldn't be closed so had to put blind down and prop a pillow to keep cold out.
- Michaela (8/5): Very good - The WiFi cut out when watching TV. Not enough mugs and bowls for 4 people. Only 3 supplied.
- Edwards (9/5): Beautifully designed artistic space in the heart of Narrabri. - Loved the decor and the renovation of the property. Great views of the sunset over Narrabri. The Exit Light in the main area was so bright that it affected our sleep. No walls to the ceiling so it is essentially one large room with no noise privacy.
- Neil (8/5): Very good -
- Margaret (9/5): A great home away from home with unexpected views across Narrabri to the distant mountains - Loved the character of the old flour mill which was retained along with the modern & comfortable furnishings & decor. The stairs up to the Loft apartment might present a problem to some guests, however we two septergenarians managed well & the helpful staff made it all easy!
- Judy (8/5): Lovely apartment that met our needs. - It was a lovely apartment in a small country town. We really liked the apartment but struggled a bit to get up the stairs. We should have thought that through given that it was called the loft, but we were a lit concerned when we first got there. Some mention regarding the narrow stairs would have been useful and wouldn't have stopped us staying there.
- Nicole (10/5): Beautiful property, had a great stay. - I loved the stylish decor and it is such a unique property. Only a short stroll down the street to the supermarket to gather supplies for dinner. Perfect to break up a long trip home in exceptionally comfortable surroundings- but next time, I’d like to stay longer.
- Craig (7/5): Good -
- Julie (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Definitely use again if back in Narrabri - Everything 🙂
- Tennent (9/5): Superb - A beautiful apartment in an unlikely looking building. There's plenty of space and it really feels like a home. There's lots of stairs to climb (with luggage) to get into the apartment. We were sent the wrong key code, so couldn't get in, but a phone call to a helpful person (owner?), quickly sorted the problem.
- Pranil (7/5): just ok. - 1. plenty of space.
2. beds were good. 1. We wanted a fully air conditioned apartment. There was only air conditioning in the living room.
2. Cleanliness - there cobwebs on the windows. The exhaust fan is covered with dust and dirt.
3. Check in instructions were not as clear as we were travelling and only using the phone.
- Janine (10/5): We loved it and wished we could have stayed longer! - The Loft was central and easy to find. The room was spacious and had everything a traveller could need. The beds were super comfy and it was very quiet. Our host, Linda, was very friendly and helpful.
- Tracy (7/5): Loved the heritage vibe but struggled sleeping with the heat. - It was clean, close to the town Centre and we liked that it was once a flour mill and had been renovated with empathy towards its heritage keeping the original exposed beams and heritage windows intact. Unfortunately it was 38 degrees on the day of our stay and with the open layout of the apartment the air conditioner and ceiling fans struggled to keep it comfortable.
- Amanda (7/5): Good -
- Ferris (7/5): Good - Location, space, comfy beds Air con struggled with the heat
- Sarah (10/5): The Gallipoli Flat was a perfect place for our family to stay. - The apartment (the Gallipoli Flat) was beautiful. It was well appointed, comfortable and spacious.
- Greg (9/5): great stay shame about the stairs. - it was close to the namio hotel and rsl which both had good service not far from the main street every thing you need wasnt far away as other views have said the stairs but if you worked out where and when you went out you only had to do it a few times. but once you where up the room made up for that. the light coming from the exit sign was very bright we probably should not have but we put a blanket over it to stop some of the light. maybe a little more attention to cleaning in some areas (like the lights in the bathroom the shades were full of bugs and comb webs). we stayed in a hotel in canberra that was supposed be 4 star i dont know how they got that rating the loff apartment was so much better.
- Kimberley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robyn (9/5): What a bargain this property is for what you get. It’s spacious, clean and very comfortable. Perfect place to rest after - Perfect place to stop overnight and this property had everything you needed to rest up…. Right down to cold water dispenser which was so welcome in 38 degree temps outside. The locks on fire exit door was flimsy (couldn’t tell if it was actually locked)
- Leonie (8/5): Very good - Furnishings were very attractive and beds very comfortable. We loved the high ceilings and rafters. The refit of a heritage building is clever. The stove is excellent, However, the kitchen equipment is very patchy. Too few spoons, broken items, a saucepan with carbon used rice stuck to the bottom. Only a couple of blinds work as they should - they need restringing.
- Dion (8/5): Very good -
- Jenny (8/5): Very good -
- Vicky (8/5): Very good -
- Debra (8/5): Very good -
- Robbo (8/5): Very good -

- Simon (7/5): Good -
- Catherine (10/5): After a long drive, it was a lovely comfortable apartment to arrive at. - We were upgraded to the Gallipoli unit. It was immaculately clean with very nice furnishings. Everything was fine, we couldn't pick any faults

- Kelly (10/5): Spacious and central apartment. Clean, very comfy beds! - Spacious apartment. Very central. Very comfy beds! Appreciated the cold water cooler in the unit. Clean and everything we needed. Well set out. Nice host. Note: as it is a loft please be aware it is on the top floor (3 floors) there is no lift. There are 37 stairs which you will need to take luggage up.
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- James (8/5): Great place - Value for money Couldn’t shut bedroom window and fly screen was ripped
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Terrell (7/5): Good - Lots of space Its on the 2nd floor so lots of stairs. The lounges needed a steam clean and the walls of the bedrooms dont go to the roof so not much privacy for 2 couples
- Susan (7/5): Good - The loft apartment was great. My only complaint was the lit up EXIT light in the main room. I also thought the sofas needed a good clean!
- Verity (9/5): Great apartment and location! - Awesome size, great location. Having the washer and dryer in the bathroom was so handy. Highly recommended. Had to walk up and down flights of stairs which would get tiresome after a while, but it was fine for our overnight stay.
- Jack (8/5): Very good -
