• Nataly (8/5): - Superb location, close to the best beaches and mini-markets, pharmacies, etc. Building is safe and new. Beach view is a plus. The coffee machine was broken, and the small Italian stovetop coffeemaker wasn’t enough for two people.

• Angel (10/5): Amazing views, very comfortable stay! - The apartment was spacious and clean and has everything you needed. It had a massive bed! And was so comfortable. The views were incredible. The pool was really nice and the staff at the door were friendly and had no problems inviting my friend to come and hang out by the pool. I couldn’t get hot water. I could only get lukewarm water in the shower. Ideally it would be great to get slightly hotter water. Everything else was perfect.

• Yuko (9/5): Modern, clean, safe apartment with excellent amenities. - Barra 535 is a new condo tower located just 2 blocks from Porto da Barra beach. The building is very clean, quiet, and well-kept, and the host was extremely attentive, replying to queries very quickly. The apartment is better-equipped than many vacation rentals and AirBnbs, which often have 1 decrepit pan and dull knives -- not here. As a female traveling alone for work, safety is always a concern and I felt that this building was safe (with a 24/7 doorman), and also in a convenient neighborhood close to cafés, supermarket, and eateries. The other residents also seemed nice. The apartment has a terrific view of the ocean from its spacious covered balcony. Great place. The shower area is very small, so the water easily leaks to the floor outside. If you are a wheelchair user, the bathroom is too small and the entrance too narrow to be accessible, FYI.
