• Nikoletta (9/5): - Vedo mindenben a segítségünkre volt, nagyon szívélyes, rugalmas házigazda volt. Pontos és gördülékeny, ês informatív volt a kommunikáció a részéről. Kényelmes volt a szoba és az különösen jólesett, hogy a váratlanul jött hűvös, esős időben fűtőttek. Jól éreztük ott magunkat! Talán a meredek utcán a szűkös parkolás volt nehézkesebb, de túlzás lenne azt mondani, hogy ez nem tetszett.

• Phillip (9/5): This is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Sarajevo. - This host, his son and his mother were very nice to me. She brought me some preserved pears to eat! The room was very quiet at night. The room was a little warm and I couldn't turn down the heater. It would be perfect for most people, but I like cold rooms. The hill is a bit steep but there is a bus that goes up every 20 minutes if it is too much for you.

• Natalia (10/5): Very warm welcome - Very clean room. There is everything necessary in the bedroom and the kitchen (however no shower gel and shampoo in the bath room). Wifi works fine, bed is very comfortable. But what made the stay really very nice and pleasant is the host - Vedo. Dear Vedo, thanks a lot for a very warm and nice meeting and introduction of your city, for great coffee and a wonderful sunset at our last evening in Sarajevo. Thanks a lot for sharing your love to your city with us! As mentioned in many feedbacks - way home uphill. But if you are not in a too bad form, it's not a big deal.
• Stardust (8/5): Harika ev sahibi, mütevazı ama temiz ve konforlu ev ile beklentilerimizi tamamen karşıladı. - Vedat muhteşem bir insan! 45dk sonra varacağımızı belirten bir mesaj attık ancak 1,5 saat sonra varabildik. Vardığımızda yağmur altında, şemsiyesiyle sokağın başında bizi bekliyordu. Gecikmemize ve onu bekletmemize rağmen hiç lafını etmedi. Kendisi tur rehberliği yapıyor; çok ilgili ve güler yüzlü biri. Bizi samimi bir şekilde karşıladı. Vedat, evin önündeki sokakta bize otopark yeri ayırmış ve kendi aracını çıkararak bizim aracımızı park etmemizi sağladı. Ev mütevazı ama temiz ve tüm ihtiyaçları karşılıyor. Yellow Fortress’a sadece 5 dakika yürüme mesafesinde. Gece konaklamak için tercih ettik ve beklentilerimizi tamamen karşıladı.

The walk up from Bascarsija wasn’t that terrible for us, we actually didn’t mind doing it at night at our own pace. Vedo was very helpful and welcoming at all times! • Aksoy (10/5): GREAT HOST - Vedat is a great host. Although he was in Croatia, his son helped us, but we talked on the phone all the time, he practically guided us online. The places he recommended were great. The house met all expectations. Very quiet, calm, a little bit on the hill, you should not smoke before going up to the house. But no matter where you stay, every house here is on the hill. Thank you very much for everything. Nothing ❤️

• Nicola (10/5): Vedo, the best host ever - The apartment was very nice, it had everything needed, very comfortable and cozy. The location is also perfect, in a nice residential neighborhood on an absolute reasonable walking distance from the center (you also have regular small buses). But what was absolutely outstanding was the welcoming from the host! Vedo is an amazing person, who did his best to make our stay perfect since the moment we arrived, and even from before, since he arranged for us to be picked up at the station. Then he welcomed us with some Bosnian coffee, he even took us one evening to enjoy the view of the city from a viewpoint. He was very helpful, responded to every request and always made sure we had everything we needed. All in all, this was exactly the kind of place we wanted to stay in, it felt like being guests at a friend's house. We would give an 11 out of 10 score if that was possible! Thank you very much again for everything Vedo for your amazing and genuine hospitality

• Wafi (10/5): Exceptional - it's a room unit under the host house. the host family was so nice. during my stay, they welcome me with some food and bosnian coffee. the unit equipped with kitchen. there is a queen bed and single bed which could literally fit three people at once. all good except the hilly location. whenever you want to go city centre, you need to walk down the hill. going back to the room definitely challenging. but as long as you are fit then no problem

Vedo, our host, was a star with all my stupid questions in advance of our trip, and we couldn't have been more warmly welcomed when we landed in Sarajevo. The apartment is very comfortable, with everything that you might need, and is just a five-minute walk from the centre of the old town (it took me a little longer to get back up the hill, however... LOL) Extremely good value for money.

• Shirley (7/5): Great stay! - It was a great pleasure staying in apartment Dove. Good space, it has a little kitchen and bathroom. Washing machine is also available if you need. It is good value for money. The host is very kind, very helpful. He even offered to come and pick us up from the bottom of the hill which was so sweet. The Bosnian coffee was great too! Thanks for that Vedo :). The only issue was its uphill so you have to prepare your legs to walk up the hill but of course there is always a bus waiting at the bottom of the hill to take you up there. It's not far, just a few minutes. Coming down is not a problem if you have a good legs as it is easier to go down. You can also enjoy the view as you go downhill.

I immediately felt home, all the family is so nice. Beds are good, shower is top, the room is huge, and there's even a washing machine, what else do you need ?

• Oya (10/5): A place i can call home - The apartment is spacious and has a traditional feel. Located up hill, only 6/7mins walk from the Baščaršija. There is a mini bus available round the corner to the apartment only 1 stop from Baščaršija, every 30mins. There is a local shop 1/2min walk. 4/5 mins walk there is a bakery and coffee/breakfast places. The location is absolutely amazing, close to the tram/buses. The views are amazing as soon as you walk out of the apartment. Vedo and his family are so precious. They welcome you with open arms and make sure you are comfortable and try their absolute best to make sure your needs are met. They are honest and warm. If i could take one thing it would be Vedo's mum! A warm kind and generous woman, she has shown me such love in the short time i met her. I will definitely be going back as I'd like to see my sexy mama again. Vedo is the best host I've ever met, he always has a smile and a great sense of humour! He was always ready to answer my questions and i felt comfortable asking him when i needed help. Thank you Vedo to you and your family. Much love ❤️

• Stephenriley (10/5): Great apartment and host. - The host Vedo, was extremely helpful, making a Bosnian coffee on arrival, he also took me to a cafe with the best view of sarajavo, the apartment is big with everything needed for a short or long stay, and very quiet , it is about a 10 minute walk to old town Bascarsija, highly recommend vedo's apartment.

He was on hand to help with questions about the property and also about visiting Sarajevo and Mostar. Property was small but functional and clean. Just be aware it’s up a very steep hill!!

He went out of his way to accomodate our every need including picking us up and dropping us off at the bus station in the early hours. He also provided tons of recommendations on sites to visit and restaurants to eat at The apartment itself was super clean and had everything you needed. It was also very close to Old Town. Overall, we had an amazing time in Sarajevo which was definitely helped by having an amazing accomodation to stay in and a great host. I would recommend this stay to everyone!!!!

• Alpegon (10/5): Wonderful stay in Sarajevo - Fantastic apartment in Sarajevo. I went with my wife and 10 month old daughter and we enjoyed every moment at the apartment. It has everything you may need for a short stay in Sarajevo. Beds are comfy and kitchen is equipped for a few days stay. It is 5 minutes walk away from the very centre of Sarajevo but neighborhood is very quiet at the same time. Kenan (the owner), met us and helped us as we needed. He gave us good advice and tips about the city. The quality/price relationship is incredibly good. Do not hesitate to stay at Kenan's apartment. I liked everything. We even asked for a small blanket for our baby and the owner lend it to us from his child.

He gave us lots of useful information and tips about Sarajevo. When we were stranded in the middle of nowhere , with the storm raging around us, I called Vedo and he came to the other side of Sarajevo, took us home and when we arrived, he gave us delicious Bosnian style coffee - and he refused to take any money, although I wanted to give it to him. • Geoff (10/5): It's the Host that makes a Stay - Vedad, your host, was 10 when a friend, standing one metre away, was shot in the head by a sniper's bullet. He witnessed other Bosnian atrocities, including a UN truck hitting and killing another peer. There are two pathways ahead from living through a genocide and such youthful trauma. Bitterness or hope. Vedad sought the latter. His aim is to heal the deep divisions within the troubled region. A people person, this is reflected in his attention to his guests, wanting the best for you. Always at the ready to provide information and do guest pickups. All the while doing three jobs and raising a family. He regularly visits Serbia, and drove me to Srebrenica (which on the way) gratis. Thank you. Does he meet people involved in the Sarajevo siege on this regular journey? Probably, but that doesn't reflect the courtesy he shows to all. The apartment is an easy 10 minute stroll down to the heart of the old town, and slightly longer to get back up. Spacious, with all the extras for cooking and washing clothes . Heaps of extra blankets etc. Spotless, quiet. Good shower and bed. A great human being, host and accommodation is an unbeatable trifecta.
• Alexandra2305 (10/5): Great room, great host, great city - The host, Vedo, was the best. He was very helpful and attentive during the whole staying in Sarajevo. The room was super-quiet, comfortable and spacious. There were bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. There is everything you may need during your stay: bedsheets, additional blankets (if it's chilly outside), all kind of kitchen utilities, washing machine, towels, stove. Fantastic wifi. The house is on the hill, so while you're going up or down from it the magnificent view is guaranteed. There are several shops nearby (5-7 mins by walk), old city center within 10 mins by walk. There is no microwave, but we didn't need it and didn't ask the host about it, maybe he had one. If you have bad knees or some legs' problems be prepared to go to the room by taxi (there are a lot of them in the city center). But didn't use taxi, it was too beautiful way :-)

I was struggling to pay at that time, and he waved and said that I could stay at any cost - he just wants to be a good host. He constantly was asking if we needed anything and drove us partially to the airport. This stay is so cozy and warm, even though it's a bit of a hike outside the city it is so worth it because the host is so kind. The beds were also very comfy too!

From the start, he provided all the answers I might have and he was prompt in his replies. What really amazed me was that he came all the way to the bus stop to pick me up at no extra cost and surprised me by taking me up to a Yellow Fortress where one may enjoy an amazing view of the entire Sarajevo from the hill (Picture attached) just before taking me the apartment! As for the place itself, it was clean and comfortable which includes a kitchenette with all the amenities one may require as well as a washing machine. It's located from 10-15 minute walk. In addition, he is a tour guide and provides the best recommendations regarding Sarajevo and trips beyond -Bosnia and Herzegovina. I would definitely stay here again! Wish I could have stayed longer.

Spent 3 hours of time to make me a migration white karton, and was late for work... or when my car broke down, he helped me start it... or spend an evening with me to show me the sights of Sarajevo... It's all about Vedo! And his family also cooked me to coffee, dessert, and dinner during my stay!

They offered me Bosnian coffee, fruits, vegetables...they kept feeding me like if I was part of the family member. The location is also perfect to visit the old town : 10 mins by walk and you are in ! (15-20 mins to climb back but it's healthy !) The studio it is exactly the same as the photos and as everything you need. Sarajevo is a beautiful town that deserve to be more visited and the welcoming of Bosnian people is tdefinitely one of the best I have experienced ! I highly recommend this place and will come back for sure in Sarajevo ! Hvala !!!!
