• Georgie (3/5): I wouldn’t return. - Location was amazing We came into the property not expecting the best of things after reading the reviews and giving benefit of the doubt thought we would give it a whirl! Lesson learned. Listen to the reviews. Cleanliness was poor. Bathroom vents pumped through upstairs cigarette smoke. The family living upstairs I assume had young children that ran up and down the length of the room all day - everyday. From 10am to gone 12 at night. We were here for 3 nights. It was so loud at one point we thought they were running through our room. The noise from the street is to be expected so that didn’t really bother us. The noise from upstairs was ridiculous. We arrived to hairs and ants in the first bed and a maggot in the second bed. The place hasn’t been cleaned properly in months if ever. The windows fall off when you open them and the fan in the bedroom is so loud it sounds like you’re starting up a lawn mower - continuously! It wouldn’t have been as bad - had we not spent over £1000 for 3 nights here for only 2 people. Fab location if it’s a lads stag night looking for a place to crash with minimal cleanliness- avoid otherwise.

• RONAL RANEEL (5/5): Not for children. - The location is fantastic! It's right in the heart of the city, making it easy to walk to all the exciting attractions nearby. The stairs are very steep, so I wouldn't recommend them for travellers with seniors or babies. It feels more like climbing a ladder. It was very hard to go up and down with luggage. Although it states there is kitchenware, it only includes a microwave, kettle, and refrigerator — it's not a kitchenette. No utensils are provided, so you should bring some with you.

• Bogdan (8/5): Very good for Amsterdam experience. - Is Central is good size for 4 people 2 separate rooms nice sofa and armchair in the living area. Was no glasses or cups in the property considering there was a fridge microwave and kettle, the stairs is not for everyone (must be careful).

• Wa32 (1/5): This is the worst experience of my life. - NOTHING THESE ARE SCAMMERS! This was one of the most disappointing experiences I have ever had on Booking. We were explicitly granted early access to the apartment. However, upon arrival, the property was clearly not in a ready or properly prepared condition. The bedding was incomplete (no proper duvet cover), surfaces showed visible cleanliness issues, and the overall condition did not match the expectations set by the listing photos. We left immediately and did not use the apartment. What was even more concerning was the lack of transparency and accountability. The person listed as the official host redirected us to another individual for key handling and issue resolution. Responsibility was shifted between multiple parties, and instead of addressing the problem professionally, we were offered only a 50% refund. For a company operating under a recognized hospitality brand, this level of service and communication is unacceptable. I have been a long-time Booking customer and rarely leave negative reviews, but future guests should be aware that the actual experience may not reflect the listing.
• Annachiara (6/5): Posizione TOP, alloggio senza pretese. - Le chiavi ve le lascia il commesso dello shop sotto casa. La casa è in un punto davvero comodissimo, a 10/15 min a piedi avete i principali siti di interesse. La casa è abbastanza pulita, ha 2 camere da letto matrimoniali separate da un salottino con un frigo piccolo e un microonde, bagno comodo e pulito. La casa non è bella, ma comoda e assolutamente SENZA PRETESE. In casa, dopo che ci avevano come prima cosa detto di NON fumare, troviamo un mozzicone di canna sul mobile in salotto :). Ho scritto al proprietario e mi ha risposto che era stato un errore degli inservienti delle pulizie, ma il mozzicone è rimasto lì nessuno è venuto a toglierlo. Considerando che il ragazzo che ha le chiavi dell'appartamento è esattamente la porta affianco, mi aspettavo che venisse lui. Al piano di sopra ci vive una famiglia, credo e spero con un bambino che non fa altro che scorrazzare.

• César (5/5): Escapada en familia a Amsterdam - La ubicación es buena, el baño está bastante nuevo aunque le falta un poco de luz No tiene cocina, tal y como indica el anuncio, pero hay una nevera y un microondas aunque de muy poca utilidad porque no puedes hacerte ni un café. No hay vasos, cucharas ni nada que puedas usar para preparar un café. Las almohadas de las camas son muy duras y no se pueden hacer servir para tal uso. El acceso al apartamento es a través de una escalera muy estrecha y muy alta con peldaños muy muy estrechos. Da miedo

El departamento es cómodo. Estaba limpio, todo muy bien. La escaleras son muy difíciles de subir y bajar pero Zee nos ayudó a subir y bajar el equipaje así q no fue un problema. quizás agregaría tazas o algo para poder hacer un café.

Der var klamme pletter af blod, bussemænd og madrester over alt. Ildelugtende lugt fra badeværelset, intet var som på billederne. Vinduerne var utætte, varmen virkede ikke. Sengen hård som sten og ikke en man havde lyst til at ligge sig i. Puderne var fedtede og sten hårde og klumpede. Der var gammelt støv over alt. Skimmelsvamp på køleskabs kanten og på badeværelset. Intet hjælp at hente fra udlejer andet end ubehagelige svar på WhatsApp. Jeg forventer at få refunderet hele beløbet på vores ophold!

• Sue (9/5): Fantastic time in Amsterdam - Property is very close to the station walking distance 5 mins and the city centre The 2 bedrooms were perfect for our group of 4 The non street facing room was quiet The access stairs were a bit of a challenge getting suitcases up and down but we did manage. Anyone with poor mobility would have problems.

• Emma (4/5): - The location is ideal. The stairs were awful but all of the stairs are steep in Amsterdam. The apartment was disgustingly hot and the fans weren't great. One of the bedrooms had windows but they were locked and covered in wallpaper!

• Katy (3/5): Good location, but dirty and uncomfortable! - The location is great! The room was very dirty, the toilet seat was broken, the drawers were held together with sellotape, the fans only worked if you held the plug in place, so it was boiling, there was rubbish inside the drawers, the sink in the bathroom needed a good clean and it just stank of poo the whole time. Not sure if it's s drainage issue, but it was nasty! There was also no iron or ironing board as stated.

• Kelly (5/5): Felt like crashing a friends apartment - glad it was only for a few days - I got scared right before our visit when I checked Google Maps and was concerned when I saw the reviews on Google were a lot worse than Booking.com. I was happily surprised that booking.com had updated reviews and the reason for this was the bathroom was updated and is really nice now. We got what we were looking for in terms of separate sleeping areas with doors and a fridge in a central area. If you are looking for a place to crash near the train station it is a great spot for what it is. I really appreciated the great communication the day we arrived and how the host was right there to meet us because we had a tight schedule that day. I was surprised it wasn't nicer inside the apartment for the price. We were on an anniversary trip and I thought I booked a nicer place but I wanted to stay with my friend in the same apartment.  I think the broken window, mold, dirty dishes and lack of water filter or reply to my texted question to the host of whether the water from the tap was safe to drink was annoying so would not recommend to my friends. Also, the fan and open window wasn't a great solution with the street noise when it was super hot that week. But that is probably not an issue most of the time.

• Sara (8/5): Fab location - Location was fab, the owner was very helpful letting us check in at 9.45pm. Warm and comfortable and the owner provided shampoo, shower gel toilet roll, milk and water at no charge. Not a dislike but would of been helpful to have a teatowl to dry the washing up.

Bathroom floods while showering so you have to stand in water that is floating around the toilet. The loo roll holder fell off the wall. No kitchen.

We were only given one set of keys between 4 people. stairs to the apartment were very steep and dangerous, this information was not in the booking information if we knew we wouldn't have booked this apartment. One person in our group had a brace and a crutch, this was a struggle for her to use the stairs. It was a self-service apartment, however, there were no kitchen facilities to make your own food.

• David (1/5): ***Please read before booking*** Awful Accommodation - Nothing, it was a complete waste of money. ***PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING*** Don't waste your money. The whole place was worn out, dirty and not like the pictures. We had roadworks happening right outside the window that woke us up at 8am every day - no prior notifications or warnings this would be happening. The stairs to this apartment are exceptionally steep and narrow - I'd strongly recommend NOT booking this apartment if you have a fear of heights or any health issues affecting your legs or arms. There was stains all up the living room wall, it looked like food but not sure. There is no cooking facilities just a microwave on top of a fridge and the microwave was filthy. There are cups and plates to use but nowhere to wash them up unless you want to do that in the bathroom sink or shower. The bathroom is covered with mold, on the tiles, in the grout, on the ceiling and on the floor. The radiator in the bathroom is also badly rusted and covered with mold. Even the mirror in the bathroom was damaged. There was a towel rolled up one of the windows in the bedroom to stop a draft/leak. One window was broken and couldn't be opened. The WiFi is very poor as well, disconnects every few minutes. The wardrobe in one of the rooms was damaged/chipped and the curtains were not suitable as they covered half the walking space between the bed and window. The bedroom mattresses are very cheap quality and not comfortable to sleep on. The apartment is very noisy during the day as its above a shop that plays bass music all the time. The pictures used are very old as the furniture is now different and damaged. The location is the only thing this apartment had going for it as its right at the top of Cental but there are plenty of other places in this area so my advice would be to look elsewhere.
