Guest Reviews
- ian (9/5): Milo is an excellent host. We truly enjoyed our stay -
- Simona (10/5): Next time we're in Amsterdam, we’ll definitely stay at the same place. - A truly wonderful experience! Staying on the water gives you that 'on a boat' feeling, but with a refined touch. The interior is carefully designed with a focus on the finer details. Spotlessly clean and the hosts were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Maybe the downstairs sleeping area could be a little warmer.
- Bibi (10/5): -
- Carlotta (9/5): - Casetta davvero carina e particolare, esattamente come nelle foto. Posizione ottimale, contesto molto interessante. Proprietari super attenti e disponibili. Soggiorno molto positivo, consigliato!
- Chrystèle (10/5): - Cette maison sur l'eau est très bien conçue et très agréable, tout près de l'arrêt de tram et relativement proche du centre à pied.
Milo est très réactif.
- Travis (10/5): -
- Kerry (9/5): Quirky part houseboat - Quirky part houseboat in a great location Sofa bed not the most comfortable to sleep on but I believe the owners are planning to have it replaced
- Nathalie (10/5): Top !!
- ISABELLA (10/5): -
- Clément (10/5): really great - Everything 🤷
- Natasha (10/5): Comfortable and relaxing. - A beautiful location on a canal. Only two stops from Central Station. (Tram 26 is in Central Station. Go through the shopping mall and turn right. The tram is right at the end) Snacks and drinks were in the fridge for our use. There are also shampoo and gels left in the bath room if needed. Plenty of towels. Hosts are lovely. This is a really pleasant place to stay out of the busyness of central Amsterdam. The bed is high but my other half had great fun helping me into it. Mattress is so comfortable we both had uninterrupted sleep every night. Living area has all that you need.
We hope to come back and stay here again.
You can see that a lot of thought has gone into this boat house as they have written a lot down to help make your stay as pleasant as possible. Thank you Milo Nothing. We were both very happy.
- Amanda (10/5): - The apartment was great and we loved the location. Host was extremely friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to return!
- Annie (10/5): So charming and perfect for a young couple’s first trip to Amsterdam - The location was easy to walk to from the train station and the hosts were so kind The upstairs got rather hot in the daylight so be mindful to close the curtains
- Tyna (10/5): Rare, beautiful experience with a kind, attentative host. - Milo was so helpful. The location is fabulous. The houseboat is a 10 minute walk to the cruise terminal and located on a calm, quiet canal. The tram is a short 4 minute walk. Milo addressed our many questions: for recommendations to groceries, taxi service (the one he recommened charges well less than the other taxi's-Bonus), and a bike shop close by. Milo also was kind to help with with our luggage during the 10 minute walk to the terminal. The houseboat was stocked with breakfast items, games, toiletries, shower, dishwasher, TV, and a soak tub. All for less that we would have paid at other locations in Amsterdam. This was a rare find. Absolutely recommend and will book again when in the city of Amsterdam. The canal was quiet and calm. Screens on the windows.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - The Waterhouse was very comfortable and in a great location (2 tram stops from Amsterdam Centraal station. Milo was a great host!
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - amazing stay here, was cosy and comfortable and the host was spectacular. Thank you for our goodies in the fridge was a lovely extra. would 100% recommend. 2 minute walk to the tram stop which was perfect. Bed was super comfy
- Kayleigh (6/5): Great time in Amsterdam - good location to spend a few days in the city - Location was good - quiet area and close to tram stop Downstairs was freezing cold but upstairs was unbearably hot also no hot water upstairs in the sink in the wc but downstairs the shower was boiling. The bath was also not a jacuzzi tub like in the photo on the listing. Check in was also quite late considering we had asked and it was agreed we could be there a bit earlier. The cleaner got there just as we turned up
- Lapsina (9/5): Superb - The hosts were very accommodating and the house was very clean and beautiful. We easily felt at home
- Amanda (9/5): Everything you could need for a perfect place to stay -
- Francesca (7/5): Nice houseboat close to the city centre and in a quiet neighborhood - I liked the view on the canal and the location: the house is close enough to the center but quiet at night Maybe I just chose the hottest week of all summer in Amsterdam but in my opinion, only one ventilator is not enough. I slept on the sofa in the upper part and I was sweating all night even after I decided to use the ventilator upstairs. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere and I might have missed the info but this house is pretty small and if you look at the picture is the smaller portion between the two doors.
- Emma (8/5): Very good -
- Simeon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ediger (9/5): Superb - It is in a quiet location. A bit of a walk into town. The bed is high off the ground so not as easy to get in and out of. Took the host quite awhile to respond to us when we had an enquiry.
- Lena1446 (8/5): Good value for Amsterdam, pretty and peaceful surroundings, but a bit tight. - The location is quite good as it is only a 20 minutes walk from the train station. It is also very peaceful and pretty by the water surrounded with greenery. There is a bit of noise from passing trains but nothing serious when the windows and doors are closed at night. We had no trouble sleeping because of it. There was plenty of yoghurt, juice, soft drinks, and some other things in the fridge for breakfast, which was very nice. There even was a bottle of Prosecco! The place was very clean and since it operates with a door code, check in and check out could not have been easier. The mattress downstairs is large and comfy and the sleep sofa upstairs was okay. There are steep narrow stairs going downstairs to the bathroom and it is no fun at all navigating them with suitcases. The place was very tight for 3 people, especially downstairs. On the first night, the water temperature could not be regulated and the water was way too hot for comfort in the shower, making it hard to wash. On the second evening we did not encounter this problem for some reason. Given the size of the place, one wonders why there is a large bathtub and small shower and sink instead of no bath tub and decent size shower and sink with perhaps a second toiled. It does not seem to be a good use of space.
- Jill (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our stay! Lovely, quiet, pedestrian street, unique experience, and 10-15 minute canal walk to central station. Hosts very accommodating, letting us check in early after a trans-Atlantic flight. Lots of breakfast fixings and beverages provided! Nothing
- Deborah (9/5): Loved the Houseboat, it was great for our short stay - Being on a houseboat was something different, made a nice change from motels. Easy walking to the Cruise terminal and the wharfs. Restaurants and Bars close by No air-conditioning. Downstairs bedroom had a fan, maybe a second fan for upstairs would be good
- Clare (6/5): Enjoyed the time we were there, plenty to see and do. - The staircase down to bedroom and bathroom needs a bannister. A lot smaller than lead to believe, photos of the accommodation are missing leading
- Chan (8/5): Very good - easy to check in and check out, location is good, just take the tram to central easily, you can have good sleep, it is quite.
There are lots of free food and drinks in the refrigerator.
We are 2 people and we can sleep separately, 1 in the sleeping room downstairs, 1 on soft bed on upstairs
I love the windows can enjoy the sunshine and have a look to the river
price is reasonable, ams accomodation is expensive may be the rules of government, cannot cook, but still can use microwave.
good for 2 people, if 3 people, it will be crowded, for us 2, not enough space for packing luggage , we are holding suitcase
the bed is too high for us (asian girls) , but we understand, haha
- P-d-a (10/5): best place to be - what a lovely place to spend some days in Amsterdam
only some minutes away from the central station
very quiet by night
cats are strolling
two wonderfull bars 2 minutes away
.
the beds are perfectly comfortable
the bathroom is great and the shower only knows one temperature = hot :-))
the kitchen is well equipped, perfect for breakfast
.
perfectly clean overall
.
WE LOVED IT absolutely NOTHING
- Byrne (8/5): Very good -
- Dobre (10/5): BnB House Boat - Close to the city center, very comfortable, the hosts were really nice and friendly. Bonus: there was a cat outside
- Mark (10/5): Great place great location - Great location walking distance from the centre. The stocked fridge was very much appreciated from the hosts. Was a little bit small but I was in a group of 3, If I was travelling with my partner it’s a fantastic size for 2 people.
- Yaorong (8/5): Quiet and beautiful neighbourhood - Nice unique place, great view, quiet neighbourhood and comfy bed, although it was a little high and deep. A great place if you don't mind the 10 to 15 mins walk from train station. Housekeeper came in almost an hour before our checkout time while we were still preparing, luckily I heard the door and went to tell her to come back later.
- Anonymous (10/5): Cool boathouse - Cool little place great location close to everything yet far enough to have some privacy! The food and drinks left in the fridge was a step above and so appreciated after a long day of travel
- Lizdev (10/5): Exceptional - Thank you so much for all the treats you left for us to enjoy. The spa bath was amazing. The steps going to the bedroom might be a problem for some people.
- Francois (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susanne (8/5): Very good -
- Carolina (10/5): Fantastic place, very pleasant stay. - Fantastic property, comfortable, beautiful and very well equipped. Located in a peaceful gorgeous area, while the walks to the city centre and close museums and amenities were very pleasant. Would highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Amsterdam. Great communications with owners, who were super helpful and provided all those little extras that make a big difference. Big thanks from us! All good
- Emma (10/5): Fantastic fun stay and great location :) - Fantastic location, such a lovely walk into the centre, only 15 minutes along the water. The bed was lovely and comfortable and the kids loved the bath and the lights. There was an amazing selection of food and treats in the fridge and the property was clean and modern. Highly recommend Hannekers Boom at the end of the road, a bit pricey but the food was great, a lovely vibe in there and a great view. There is a supermarket on your route into the centre just along from the floating Chinese restaurant. So we just picked stuff every day walking back from exploring. The New York pizza opposite the tram stop was also good but again not cheap. We did get the tram into the centre once but then realised how short and lovely the walk is so we just did that each day. If you have kids with you highly recommend the science museum over the water very short walk, you can also just go into the science museum roof garden for free too , which is nice for all ages :) Ewould was such a great host and always there if we needed him, and it was lovely to meet some of his family :) I was really worried about not being able to park nearby however it was really easy to drop our stuff off and we used the P&R at Zeeburg2 as recommended by the hosts it was really easy. Just two stops away by tram and cost €1 euro a day if you use the tram to get to the houseboat and back, (you must follow the instructions carefully and scan your public transport tickets in and out to get the deal) we did this for the whole 3 days and when we returned our car was fine.
- Cinzia (8/5): Very good -
- Lucy (9/5): Loved it highly recommend - The hosts were lovely and left us welcome items in fridge which was lovely. The boathouse is in a great location and just loved being on it especially the jacuzzi. Nothing
- Linda (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable, cosy accommodation, in a great location, with everything you need. All good.
- Jordan (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the BnB Waterhouse. Very clean and only about a 30 minute walk to the city centre (5-10 m - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the BnB Waterhouse.
Very clean and only about a 30 minute walk to the city centre (5-10 minute Uber).
Ewound went above and beyond! Even filled up the fridge and communicated affectively the whole time.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Antonio (10/5): Great place to stay. -
- Amber (10/5): Highly recommend!! Amazing place - We absolutely loved the boat house it was absolutely amazing. The bed was so comfortable and the jacuzzi bath was incredible. The area isn’t too far to walk from the station and it’s nice and quiet. Ewoud gave us lots of recommendations and was very friendly when we met him to check in. There’s everything you need for a comfortable stay. I’d highly recommend.
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (10/5): A unique, wonderful experience, facilitated by an extremely friendly host - would book again! - Location of the property and the quirky nature of it being a House Boat was really excellent. It was extremely easy to deal with the host and we loved our stay.
- Nadine (8/5): Unique Amst. experience. Highly recommend. Be aware tiny space tight stairs & high climb into bed. - Appreciated yogurt, cereal and croissants. Maybe jar of instant coffee would be good back-up.
Written instructions for operating lights, shower etc. very useful.
Finally found back route into location from train station - 15-20 min. dragging a suitcase!
Owners accommodating letting us drop off luggage early in day. Coffee maker challenging. Easy to drop in pods; often not punctuated, bent by machine so unusable; water ended in tray instead of cup????? Had same challenge with like machine in Iceland.
Had problem with wifi but owners did finally get message for server change through. Partly our fault - no roaming on phone.
- Nathan (9/5): lovely, unique space in a quiet part of Amsterdam. - very unique space. had everything we need. very comfortable bed. complimentary snacks and beverages. responsive hosts. 15-20 walk to everything. bit cramped.
