• Sebastian (10/5): - Apartament foarte drăguț, aflat la 2 minute de Landsgemeindeplatz pe o stradă liniștită. Am găsit tot ce ne-a trebuit in apartament. Paturi confortabile. Atmosferă plăcută. La intrare am găsit când am venit o plăcuță pe care era scris"Herzlich willkommen" și numele meu, ceea ce mi s-a părut foarte drăguț. Am primit și Appenzell card de care am beneficiat cât am putut de mult. Pe scurt, a fost un sejur minunat. Un pic vremea ne-a cam jucat feste.

• Melanie (9/5): Wohnung und Ferienkarte waren perfekt! - Die Lage der Wohnung war sehr zentral. In der ganzen Wohnung funktionierte alles und sie war perfekt sauber geputzt. Wir haben in guten Betten geschlafen und die Wohnung hatte guten WLAN Empfang sowie ein gutes Fernsehabonnement. Die Ferienkarte für Appenzell und Umgebung haben wir jeden Tag benutzt und lernten die Umgebung gut kennen. Im Haus war es etwas ringhörig.

Drei Schlafzimmer mit bequemen Doppelbetten. Ideal für Familien. Das Haus ist hellhörig. Sowohl von der Ferienwohnung darüber wie darunter hörte man in der Nacht Lärm. Die Nachtruhe war über Weihnachten nicht gewährleistet.

Das Badezimmer ist renovierungsbedürftig. Der Fußboden Belag in Bad, Flur, Küche und Treppenhaus ist unangenehm und nicht schön. Insgesamt war der Preis angesichts der genannten Punkte und insbesondere die Gebühr für die Endreinugung (260 CHF!) deutlich zu hoch. Die Treppe könnte durchaus regelmäßig gereinigt werden bei dem Preis.

• Wolfgang (7/5): Zentraler Aufenthalt in freundlichem Appenzell - Gut war die zentrale Lage, die Sauberkeit, die Größe der Wohnung, der Parkplatz und die bereit gestellten Ventilatoren bei großer Hitze. Wasserflaschen zur Begrüssung und Kaffee zum Verwenden waren auch gut. Die Lage und der Ort Appenzell sind sehr schön, nicht zu voll von Touristen und die Freundlichkeit der Bewohner hat uns beeindruckt. Bäcker, Coop, Lidl und Spar sind fussläufig erreichbar. Leider waren die Fenster in unserem obersten Geschoss zm Großteil auf einer Seite mit Brettern der Häuserfassade versehen, so dass wir die Aussicht auf dieser Seite nicht geniessen konnten.

• Bruce (10/5): Perfect apartment in a picture-perfect town! - Everything about the apartment was wonderful! Our family of 4 (2 young adults) stayed two nights at the apartment and everything was great - the rooms and kitchen are spacious and very comfortable, the bathroom was nice with great water pressure, and my wife appreciated the flat iron too! One night we had dinner and played cards outside on the patio set in the front yard. Appenzell is a beautiful, picture perfect town with beautiful, enjoyable hikes nearby. Grocery stores and train stations are all a short walk from the apartment. We would absolutely stay here again if/when we return! We got hit with an unusual heat wave while we were there so a fan for each room would be good to have for those hot nights.

• Kenna (10/5): Perfect apartment, location, and host. - Specific instructions on how to locate the key box and open it. The box was very easy to access. We had our keys in hand in short order and were able to settle in right away. The apartment is nicely laid out with the living room separating the two bedrooms for privacy. Aside from groceries, we didn’t need to buy anything for our stay. More than adequate household and laundry supplies were provided. Our host had thought of everything a visitor might need. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. Loved all of the light streaming in and the views of town, the alps, and the Swiss brown cows. Great windows to either fully open or tilt for a mountain air cross breeze. Nice touches in table linens, board games. We had step-by-step instructions on how to use the tv. Very nice and easy to follow. Our host checked on us via email during our stay, had welcome and parting gifts for us even when a family member was ill. She also arranged the Appenzeller card for us which we used on numerous occasions. For location, it can’t be beat. Easy walk from the train station through the heart of the town. It’s right around the corner from the grocery stores. You do not need a car, but I find that true in all of Switzerland. Close to restaurants and points of interest. Nothing. We loved everything about our stay.

We loved fixing our own meals and sitting on the back deck and listening to the cowbells on the mountains. Perfect! Location was great. Could walk to everything in town. Easy walk from the train station. Very close to grocery store. Biking was awesome!!! Would definitely return to this home. This town is adorable!!!! Liked everything about this place! We were on the third floor so had to navigate steps which was not a problem for us but may be an issue with a person with mobility issues.

The hosts, Irene and Bernhard are superb in providing a very relaxing holiday experience to their guests in terms of amenities and all needed support in their beautifully decorated Holzhaus. Highly recommended!!! Nothing. It was hard to find any.

• David (8/5): A great value in an excellent location. Thumbs up! - The location was excellent. While we were there the TV didn’t seem to work even as we followed its instructions. We still had good internet access via the WiFi, though. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were a bit flat. Still, we would go back as the home was clean, but we’ve experienced other similar airbnbs with clothes washing machines, and iron and air conditioning. I would easily recommend this home and in fact, return too. The shower was excellent!

It was scaffolded and most of the windows were covered with tarpaulins. Luckily you could use the terrace, sit and enjoy there the fresh air.

We loved it here, although we kept bumping our heads into the chandelier which was in the centre of the lounge room. It was funny the first few times!

• Magdalena (7/5): Generally i - Unfortunately we lived on the second floor and for us (an elderly couple it was difficult to carry our dog which should not climb the stairs - a dachshund )three times a day but it was not the fault of the owners I guess it was not clearly explained

• Chungkit (9/5): Superb - Very good landlord. If you have any questions, you must answer. It rained heavily two days before I came here. The next day, I specially arranged to send umbrellas. On the third day, it was finally sunny. In order to hike, the landlord gave me the opportunity to check out at any time. Very perfect!

Apartment was fully stocked and had everything we need. It was great having access to laundry facilities on site. Host was very helpful and available to answer questions and provide information about the area. Beds were hard and not very comfortable. Furniture and decor needs updating,
