Guest Reviews

- Bús (7/5): A cute nook for a couple. - The white wall was a bit of dirty and there is no clotes hanger which is a little unconfortable. Please install clotes hangers! But basically it is a good tiny apartement for two person. A bed is very confortable. This apartements location is genius if you want to discover Amsterdam. We walked 56km in the past 4days. So overall was perfect…
- Wendy (7/5): Central to everything and good for short stay - This property has a great location and the host is very accommodating for any issues. It’s a quiet neighbourhood and the bed is comfortable. The stairs are very steep, more than normal. It’s not really an apartment. There is no sink to wash dishes and the bathroom sink is tiny. There is no wardrobe or closet for your clothes. But if you are just staying for a few nights, it’s fine. The location is central and the bed is comfy. Unfortunately the building was under hoarding and under construction but the boat helped us out with that.
- Erraoui (1/5): A really bad experience! - The owner asks us to not take shower until he calls someone to fix a problem that it should be done before we arrive !
The access to the apartment is really difficult (the stairs are really inclined and small , difficult to take the suitcase upstairs, dangerous!)
- Soyhan (8/5): Good enough for a solo traveler. - The location was great surrounded with cafes and restaurants. The room was also comfortable and good enough for a solo traveler. Also, the owner was kind enough to keep my luggage while I was sightseeing during my last day. There was construction work in the building and sometimes they started working as early as 8 am. If you’re not an early bird, you may have a hard time sleeping in the morning.

- Michael (5/5): I wouldn't make use of the apartment again, sorry :-( - I liked the location, very central and beautiful. You can walk anywhere. Nice restaurants and cafes nearby. Walking distance to museums etc. VERY basic. For example, you have to wash your dishes in the bathroom as there is no water in the kitchen. The mattress is very soft. Wifi password was handwritten, couldn't figure it out. Etc, etc...
- Lorna (5/5): Worked fine for us - Great location The stairs
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sri (9/5): Superb - Close to every thing
- Lucien (8/5): Very good - The kindness of the host and the location. The missing equipment for a kitchen.
- Borjana (8/5): Very good - Location was great (town center, restaurants, markets...), clean and warm facilitie, little kitchen with all appliances that you need. Could hear neighbors, on weekends yuo could hear noise from the street, missing storage space.
- Cate (6/5): Pleasant - Good location, well equipped small studio flat. Were told we could leave bags at a hotel by the owner but couldn't.
WiFi and smart TV didn't work.
- Jalal (7/5): Good -
- Charlotte (7/5): Good -
- F_hurt (6/5): OK for a short 2-3 day visit of the city. Not sure if worth the price except for the location. - Very good location, close to the city centre, quiet, lots of restaurants nearby, also not far from metro station. The apartment is in a traditional old narrow house - just keep in mind that the entrance door and staircase are also narrow and quite steep.
The apartment was clean, you'll get what you need for a short stay - a bed, a table and a bathroom. The room looks much better on the photos on the web than in reality. The bed is placed differently, so you can only watch TV from the dining table, but the apartment is for two people however you get just one tiny nightstand and only one chair at the table.
There isn't any wardrobe, hanger or shelf so you can only hang your clothes over that one chair or in the bathroom.
The room comes with almost complete kitchenware including a kettle and a hob but no kitchen sink, you have to wash everything in the small bathroom sink.
Also half of the bed felt sloped to the side, one of us constantly felt like rolling down.
- Carolina (9/5): The Amsterdam Experience - Excellent location! Small apartment but has everything you need in the kitchenette, as well as a comfortable bathroom, private entrance, big windows, comfy bed. Everything was clean and thoughtfully made. I recommend you bring earplugs (in general for travel) because the house is old and windows/doors/walls aren't sound proof. Being at a centric location means people around, neighbors in Amsterdam are very close, so ensure you can sleep.
All I was missing during our stay was somewhere to hang our coats other than the backs of chairs or bathroom.
- Zainab (7/5): Good -
- Wiemers (7/5): Good -
- John (8/5): Comfortable compartment. Very near public transport. Very central. - Excellent - just around the corner to tram. Comfortable apartment. Many little extras - tea/coffee etc.
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Lucy (10/5): Amazing location, cozy room. The host answered my questions really quickly which I appreciated. - Really comfortable stay, the room has everything you need to have a lovely break.
Kitchen has good size fridge, coffee machine and stovetop.
The bathroom was a really good size and very clean.
It was a really lovely warm apartment, it was very comfortable for my stay during a very cold week in Amsterdam.
The host got back to me really quickly with my questions and went above and beyond to help me. Washing up of kitchen equipment was a little tricky, as you need to wash up in the small bathroom sink, but we managed, and cleaning materials were supplied.
- Sophie (6/5): Nice stay, would stay again, very responsive host - The location was great, 15 min from the Rijks Museum and about the same for mot of the sightseeing places. Nice large bathroom. No sink in the kitchen, no real possibility for cooking
- Siam (9/5): Superb -
- Tiarnan (8/5): Very good -
- Annie (3/5): Good location but tiny and poor facilities. - Location good. Nice bathroom. Very small. Claustrophobic and noisy. Dangerously steep stairs.
TV did not work. Nowhere to hang clothes.
Expensive.
- Jeffery (6/5): Pleasant -
